"Trickery and Jealousy"

Finally after some more thought, Tiasha seems to come to a decision. She continues her search for a makeshift den.
Meanwhile, back at the original den, Destiny is having a closer look at Niktsu's wounds, "...Niktsu, you really got hurt in that battle..." she says with a soft whimper, instinctively beginning to lap at his open wounds.
Niktsu cringes slightly at first, "...you remind me so much of, Keilah...I..." he sighs, shaking his head...telling himself NOT to think like that.
Darfix watches Destiny licking Niktsu's wounds and grows a little jealous, "...I think our little friend did a well enough job on his injuries...you saw how she was all over him when we came in here," Darfix comments.
Destiny sighs, turning to Darfix, "Yeah, but...it's a good idea to make sure the wound doesn't get a chance to become infected. You've got to keep it clean as possible..."
Darfix slouches a little, and nods, "...alright, fair enough..." he counters apathetically.
Niktsu grits his teeth, and interjects, "Destiny, if your courting partner is untrusting of our behavior, perhaps it is wise of you to stop...I, don't want to cause trouble between you two..."
Destiny giggles a little, and leans more on Niktsu's tummy to get at one of his other injuries, "Oh, Niktsu...it'll be fine, don't worry about it. Your health is far more important than a little tension..." she says, almost at a whisper.
Darfix only mildly rolls his eyes, and lies down, his head on his forepaws.
In the interim, Tiasha has managed to locate two decent dens. Swallowing hard, she nods to herself, "...well, I...guess it's time to give this a try then..." she says under her breath softly, adding, "Here goes..."
With that, she begins bounding back to the den she left her comrades at.
Niktsu begins to laugh a little, and gently tickles Destiny's side with his abundantly fluffy tail. In shock, Destiny jumps a little, laughing a bit as she looks down at Niktsu, "Heh, what was that for, silly?" she asks, temporarily breaking off from the licking.
"I'm only playing; heh...thought you could use a little break. I, don't know how I can thank you for your health check...you're an amazing female, Darfix is lucky to have you..." he says, smiling the whole time.
Destiny blushes, and turns to look away, "Aww, heh...aren't you being sweet? Truly, it's nothing..." she replies.
Darfix lightly scoffs, "Sheesh, why don't you two go find a cave or something..." he says under his breath in an obvious covetous manner.
Destiny's ears pivot a little, only mildly hearing something escape Darfix's maw. She turns to the lying down Eevee, and hops off Niktsu. Before walking over to Darfix, she gives Niktsu a playful wink. With that, she approaches Darfix.
Darfix's ears rotate, sensing Destiny's approach. Despite this, he remains still...not giving away that he knows she's coming.
Suddenly, Destiny lies down right on top of Darfix, and begins licking the back of HIS ears! "Now it's my turn to play nurse, and your turn to play patient!" she giggles, rubbing her forepaws through his Eevee mane.
Darfix giggles slightly, shivering as he feels her tongue and paws on his body, "You sneaky vixen! I'll get you for that!" he smirks, quickly flipping around, and pinning her on her back! He holds her down with his forepaws, and lowers his muzzle to her chest fur, licking sensually.
Destiny gasps, caught off guard. She finds herself now looking up into the eyes of Darfix, his tongue sticking out, having finished licking her. "Alright, you're one affectionate male!" she laughs, suddenly hearing paw steps behind her.
Niktsu, Darfix, and Destiny turn to the den entrance, noticing Tiasha staring back at them. "I managed to find a good enough den...I think it'd be wise to take Destiny first...with it nearing mating season, several unwanted noses might catch her scent..." the Mightyena femme states.
Darfix gives this idea some thought, and nods, "Yeah...that makes sense...hmm, alright...me and Niktsu will hold this fort down for the time being."
Niktsu nods, "Yeah, shouldn't be too hard..." he chuckles softly.
Tiasha smirks, nodding, "So if you'll kindly hop off my cohort, I'll escort her to the cave..."
Darfix smiles nervously, nodding rapidly, "Oh, yes, yes! Heh...sorry, we were just...playing..."
"Right, right...come Destiny." Tiasha says, suddenly rushing out the entry way. Destiny turns to Darfix for a moment, before suddenly rushing out after Tiasha.
Tiasha smiles down at her companion, "I bet you can't wait to get in that safe cave, huh?" she asks with a bit of a smirk.
"Yeah...I do hope you hurry though...I don't wish to be left alone for TOO long..." she replies.
"Oh, don't worry, I'll be quick...you can trust me." She says confidently...maybe too confidently?
Darfix flicks a pebble with one of the digits of his forepaw, "I'm getting worried...they've been gone for quite awhile now..."
"You're worrying too much, Dar...Tiasha is a tough female...she'll protect Destiny...I'm sure of it." He says, trying to comfort his friend.
Darfix nods, "I sure hope you're right..." he answers back.
Suddenly, Tiasha once again rushes into the den she left Niktsu and Darfix at, her body covered in snow. Panting, she manages to say, "Whew! The snow is REALLY coming down now...to save time, I'll bring the both of you at the same time...if that's alright?"
Darfix turns to Niktsu, already nodding, "Yeah, I'm game! But, how are we going to carry Niktsu, and ourselves?"
"...he can lean on me...we'll have to speed walk, but it's not that far...let's go..." Tiasha says rapidly, seeming to rush them out the exit.
Darfix follows reluctantly...she seems to be rushing them a little too fast...sure, it was snowing hard...but it didn't seem as though they'd need to rush THIS quickly.
Soon enough, the three travelers discover that a blizzard is obviously en route. The speed in which it had arrived, and in which it is falling is beyond impressive. "I hope we don't get snowed in!" Darfix whimpers, now having to bound through the snow...being too short to just walk through it.
"Heh...I don't think that's going to happen..." Tiasha comments, nodding ahead, "There is our cave now...come now! Let's get in and warm up!" she insists, rushing in all to once...leaving Niktsu and Darfix a few feet from the mouth of the cave.
Darfix clenches his teeth, "Do you need help, Niktsu?" he asks kindly...
"No, no...let's just get in and warm up...like she said." He says, trekking on ahead. Darfix nods, and follows Niktsu inside.
Upon entering, Darfix and Niktsu hear a feminine giggle. To their surprise, Tiasha is shaking her snow off on Destiny playfully. Darfix smiles and rushes in next to Destiny, "You're alright! Heh...I was worried about you being alone for the time you were..."
"Ah, you shouldn't have worried, Darfix...Tiasha is an excellent survivalist...she gave me a few pointers even." She says in a self-assured manner, nudging the male Eevee at her side.
Before Darfix can reply, Tiasha speaks, "Alright you three...if we're going to want the strength to ride out this storm, and gather food tomorrow...I suggest we huddle up and get some sleep...now." She declares in a demanding tone, lying down on her tummy in a small pile of leaves and furs, apparently Ursaring.
Niktsu nods, limping over to her, and lying down at her side.
"It's a good thing we have so many Fire types...heh..." Darfix comments mildly, approaching, and lying down at Niktsu's side. Destiny follows, lying down at Darfix's side. All four lined up next to each other, using the other as body heat.
"Now, get some rest your three...I don't want to be the only one gathering food and protecting us tomorrow..." Tiasha says softly, closing her eyes.
Darfix, Destiny, and Niktsu nod...lying their heads down on their paws like Tiasha did, also closing their eyes in attempt to get some sleep...
