"Painful Confessions"

It is getting late in the evening when Niktsu and Tiasha arrive back at the den. Upon entering, they notice Darfix and Destiny were asleepâ�"and awake, was someone they hadn't seen before. Tiasha instantly assumes him, to be hostile, though he is doing nothing of the sort. Perhaps it had something to do with the previous conversation she had with her 'new lover'. The Mightyena drops the stem from her teeth and leaps right in front of the Growlithe, causing him to lift his head. "Eh! Darfix, Destiny! We have company!"
The sudden outburst from Kalger forces Darfix from his uneasy sleep, and he leaps to all fours, just as the Vulpix beside him does. "Destiny, run forâ�"" he cuts himself short after laying eyes on the Mightyena and now entering Flareon, "...ugh, Kalger, you pussy...these are our friends..." he comments with a frustrated shaking of his head.
"Yourâ�"friends? How the hell was I suppose to know that!?" the Growlithe demands, looking insulted.
Darfix nonchalantly nods to the pile of berries Tiasha had brought in, "...the fact that they were bringing food would have been my first guess..."
Destiny cannot help but giggle slightly at this, even though their constant backbiting was running its course...
"...Darfix, who the hell is this shaggy pooch?" Tiasha asks with a quirked brow, doing the typical canine greeting by sniffing the submissive Growlithe.
"Hey lady, watch the goods!" Kalger demands, swatting a paw at Tiasha as her nose grows a little invasive.
"Shove it, you're in my den, thusly I am going to know all I can about you, or you'll be my next meal...got it?" Tiasha asks, sounding dead serious...though the others questioned her threat's gravity.
"Ugh, fineâ�"do as you please..." Kalger gives in, smirking a little, "You know, tasting is alright too..."
"...you want me to neuter you? Keep it up..."
"Yes ma'am..." he whimpers now, tail going between his legs upon hearing her say that...
Darfix cannot help but smirk at this, definitely enjoying the mutt's misery. In turn, this also increased his opinion of the Mightyena fem.
"...well, here's your foodâ�"enjoy..." Niktsu comments, setting the stem to his leaf down before limping his way into the back of the den. He seems to desire solitude, rather than sharing his company with the others.
Tiasha sulks a little at this display, "...Niktsu, come on now...surely you're hungry after the...exercise we got getting this food..."
He ignores her and continues to the back. Tiasha sighs, going against her instincts; she follows him into the inner depths of the cave.
"...oh well, more for me!" Kalger cackles before diving into one of the piles of berries.
"Idiot! Have you no concern for Niktsu's feelings?" Darfix questions, absolutely detested by this male's manners.
Destiny looks a little more down than angry, "...Kalger, how could you be so heartless? The...poor guy, after all he went through..." she states, before making her way back with Tiasha.
Darfix shoots a leer of abhor at the fire dog, and follows his mate into the back...
At present, Kalger even feels a little sorry for how he reacted. Though it had little to do with what Darfix or Tiasha said, it had EVERYTHING to do with what the young vixen said... He sighs in discontent, slowly standing up to follow the others.
When he arrives in the back, he sees Tiasha, Darfix, and Destiny, gathering around Niktsu; all trying their best to press him for what was grieving him...though they knew full well what he was dwelling on.
"Niktsu...please, talk to me...I am here for you, and I desire to help you...if only you could show me what I need to do..." Tiasha pleads, her compassionate side making itself known...rather throwing Destiny and Darfix off guard.
"...I...guess I could try, but...I don't wish to say anything in front of Darfix, or his friend..."
Darfix slaps his paw to his forehead, "He is NOT my friend..."
"...regardless, what I have to say only needs to be heard by Destiny, and Tiasha's ears." The Flareon replies.
Darfix bares his teeth a little, "...why Destiny?" he asks in a protective manner.
Destiny frowns, "Darfix...let it be, if he wishes for only me and Tiasha, he only needs to speak to me and Tiasha...it'll be alright, okay?"
Feeling defeated, and slightly betrayed, Darfix scoffs a bit, "Whatever..." he comments in frustration, before stepping back out to the primary quarters.
Kalger feels his tummy growl, and he looks at the two females and Niktsu, "...I uh, should probably check to see if he's okay...heh..." he stammers, before rushing after Darfix...
Destiny was smarter than that, she knew the Growlithe wanted to stuff his face, but that didn't matter...Niktsu wanted to talk to her, and Tiasha...she wouldn't disappoint him on purpose.
Tiasha looks down at the distressed male, and nudges his mane fur gently with her nose, "...for what reason did you need Destiny?" she asks.
"...I'm embarrassed to say, but she reminds me a little of Keilah, and...well, I need the opinion of another female...I guess..."
"...she reminds you of Keilah, huh...why, you want to pick up where you left off with your mate on her?" Tiasha asks with a shrewd bark.
Niktsu closes his eyes, and sighs, "...no...I...I wanted to say, Tiasha...that, well...you said you wish to know what's eating me. I guess, to be brutally honest, it's because ofâ�"what we did out there..."
Destiny tilts her head and quirks a brow, "...what you two did? What DID you two do?" she asks with a questioning look.
Tiasha's eyes widen a bit, "Niktsu! What are you doing?! You just want to leak this information out like its gossip material!?"
Niktsu rolls his eyes a little, "...Tia, it IS gossip material, butâ�"yes, Destiny...me and Tiasha...well, you know your heats have driven me and Darfix nuts...I guess, me and Tiasha lost control, andâ�"well, uh..."
Tiasha shakes her head in disbelief, "So you're speaking as if our moment together was a mistake?!"
Destiny only grits her teeth a little, half in nervousness that she and Darfix would be discovered, and the other half, in nervousness for being in the middle of this!
"...you want the truth? Yes, Tiasha...I feel our love making was a mistake...but it wasn't because it was with you...it was because it wasn't with Keilah..."
"...Niktsu, what the hell? As sorry as I am, your mate is dead...okay, she's not coming back, no matter how much we wish she could...so how on in Johto does it matter that you and I mated?" she asks, a little coldly.
Niktsu flinches some at her mentioning of Keilah's condition, as much as he knew it was trueâ�"it still hurt fresh, like the wound Orlanth gave him. "...there is no need to, speak...the obvious, Tia...the fact is, I betrayed her...with you..." he comments, looking off to the side.
Beginning to feel this wasn't her place, Destiny steps out while they are discussing, she really doesn't feel she belongs in the conversation between the two.
"...betrayed her? Niktsu...you think you're suppose to live a life of chastity because the female you promised your heart to, DIED?! News flash, hon...sex wasn't made to be pleasurable so we Pokémon would ignore its benefits!"
"...you're right, Tia...it was very nice...I enjoyed it greatly, but..."
"No buts...Niktsu, what I saidâ�"back there, I did not mean...I mean, sure...I have got myself into a few one night stands, but...I feel different with you...I think I truly want to be with you..." she confesses, at the same time, she is slowly lying down on top of him...nuzzling his fluffy neck fur affectionately.
Niktsu sighs a bit, and says nothing...
There is a slight pause, before she gently kisses the top of his head, "...love, lets discuss it in the morning...we're both very tired..."
"...so, Dest, what did Nicky-Licky want with you?" Kalger asks with a mischievous wink.
"...grow up, Kalger...the poor guy is going through a lot...I guess, it would be polite to safe the berries for in the morning...Tiasha and Niktsu didn't get to eat yet..." Destiny says with a light sigh, lying down by her mate.
Kalger's eyes widen, "What!? I could save some for them, come on...let me have just a little!"
"NO!" both Destiny and Darfix yell, simultaneously. "Just close your eyes and get some sleep...it'll get your mind off of being hungry..." Destiny suggests.
Darfix gives a light smile, and nuzzles her cheek, "...excellent idea, love..." he comments softly with a light yawn. It doesn't take much for the two to fall asleep, cuddling each other...
Kalger sighs, lying his head down on his paws, his ears wilting a little as he eyes the berries, taking in their sweet scent. "...aww man..."
