Story Notes:
I lied, I didn't think I'd make an entry for this but an idea came to me so I wrote it down.Disclaimer: Don't any pokémon yet...but I could probably take Weedle, don't think anyone would care.
Prologue
What's wrong with humanity? Two things, they're alien and they're dirty. And don't give me that racist crap, I'm not saying their bad because they're different or anything, hell, I'm a representative of the Pokémon race, you can't get anything more racially diverse than that! What I'm saying is that ever since they landed here a couple of thousand years ago they've done nothing but screw everything up for us. Before they arrived, ours was a peaceful race of semi-sentient beings, guided by the three S's, protected by us, what the humans call "Legendaries" who have "amazing powers" who could "devastate humanity on a whim". Of course that's complete bull-shit, because if we could destroy humanity, we'd have done it as soon as they had bloody arrived here...but of course Mr. Goody-Two-Shoes Arceus, the grand-supreme leader thingy if you're not in the know, wanted save everything without hurting a fly, so he simply erased their minds. Wait...I'm getting ahead of myself again, aren't I? Forgot to mention the war...but that's another story so don't you worry your little heads about.
The dirty part? Well that speaks for itself, thanks to their "intelligence" and lust for "the good life" they went ahead to find the easiest source of energy, which naturally just so happened to be the most damaging to OUR environment. Sure, they've finally started searching for "renewable" sources of energy, but thanks to the FABULOUS invention of currency and human lust for the stuff, if the bad things cost less, they're going to use it, never mind the consequences. I mean really, humans need to get their priorities straight, a planet that they're not even native in order to save a couple of pieces of paper...it just really pisses me off, you know? And now the humans have the cheek to try and start hunting us down and CAPTURING us, what the hell is wrong with these people...the fact that they're dominating psychopaths, that is one thing that's wrong with them. Don't even get me started on the people who preach about bonds formed between trainer's and "their" Pokémon, all that's doing is bringing them to the same level of sadism that the humans are at.
And the tip of the ice-berg, I have the power to stop this; theoretically I could just jump down the time-line and "erase" them, making sure that they never spoilt our planet with their presence. But of course, I'd need Arceus' permission for that...and don't you dare call me a coward for not going against him/her (personally I don't know what the hell it is), I do it out of respect, he created us all in the first place...not to mention the fact that he'd probably wipe the floor with me afterwards. Also you've got the whole messing around with the past thing, who knows what would happen? I do...well I know what might happen, when you change something in the past technically the future changes depending on what you actually did and how drastic it was. I've visited these times, and they're glorious! Not a human in sight, the land unharmed by ugly concrete structures, the only evils being committed are natural ones e.g. survival of the fittest, predator/prey relationships etc.
Of course however, just because of sod's law we had to be the human race's only chance of survival, if they didn't land here they all died horribly or something like that, and Arceus deemed that too big a sacrifice. But one day, the humans would go too far, for instance they'd start messing with MY forest...and if they did that they'd find out just how powerful a Legend backed up by the forces of woodland will be. I would force Arceus to let me wipe them all out...and then everything would be back to the way it was again, nature free to run its course WITHOUT interference; leaving me to be the patient observer, hero to all. The only problem with that plan is...that I really don't know whether they'll actually mess with the forest, sure they take a couple of trees here and there but apparently that isn't enough to declare outright war...it'd need to be something huge. When I look to the future, there are endless possibilities as to how they'll fuck themselves over, but also infinite ones where nothing happens and they are allowed to live...but I swear, I will hold no mercy when Arceus finally comes to its senses.
"Cel?" someone asked from behind me, interrupting my meditation session, which was probably a good thing to be honest, harbouring such dark thoughts as this was almost human, not to mention the whole talking to myself thing. "Are you feeling well?" Opening my eyes I turned my head in the direction of the voice, and instantly a warm smile fluttered across my lips, before me was one of the reasons I was so protective of the forest, a perfect example of a species under-threat in the wild, thanks to huge human capture. She was one of few "shiny's" left in the wild, naturally more intelligent than the average Roserade she had her own personality, and I regarded her as one of my few friends. Her face currently was a very bright shade of red, "Umm, Cel? You're doing it again," she muttered, snapping me out of yet another daydream, I'd been doing that a lot lately, staring at her face accidentally.
"Yeah, I'm fine thanks," I replied, quickly hopping to my feet and flying up to her height, "Just been thinking," It was strange, every time I looked into her eyes something happened inside of me, it was almost as if my heart fluttered for a moment, it was...addicting to say the least. It was as if all of my dark thoughts were lifted. She looked back at me, concerned as usual.
"You've been doing that a lot recently, not thinking of hopping back in time are you?" I really don't know why, but she hated when I jumped back or forward, even if I was gone for a second she got angry.
"No, I've just got a lot on mind," That didn't set her mind at ease, she was too smart for that, but there was no point in causing her even more concern, if I had to be honest, it'd probably be a bit above her anyway. Turning my attention to the beautiful, tranquil scenery surrounding me, a new found hatred for the human invaders surged through my small body...if they so much as harmed a single Pokémon within the boundaries of my forest...I don't care if it was some radical splinter group...they would all burn.Chapter End Notes:Had fun writing this, will get on with the other chapters tommorow, hoped you enjoyed it and feel free to review. Sorry for the shortness, its just setting the scene =
