Story Notes:

For any confusion, these pokemon are feral in a seemingly natural/civil environment. A cross between. And more detail becomes evident as the story goes on.Also, as a big fan of DBZ and power-based things, this will have some minor swaying effect. Nothing like over 9000 references and kamehamehas, it still keeps the pokemon basis.

His World

Time passed and questions flew. We all wondered where this stranger had come from, let alone why he was here, and how he was perfect.

During dinner he hardly ate, rather than just stare at his food.

"Hey, I found you and invited you here. I don't even know what you're name is yet!" I smiled at him, but he held onto his serious look.

He looked up at me. "Kilik." he said quietly and quickly.

"Key-who?" I looked around at Bolt and Wes to see if they had understood what he said.

"He said Kilik idiot!" Bolt said as he threw a napkin at my face.

"Boys! Don't be foolish! We have a lovely guest here and I'm not going to let you two ruin it! One more outburst and you're both grouned, you hear?" Mom snapped at us. We bowed our heads and went back to being quiet. A smile formed on her face as she turned to Wes. "You've been so quiet and polite, I almost forgot you were here!" she chuckled.

"Heh...yea." he said with a slight blush.

"Now then." she turned to the Lucario. "Well...Kilik is it? How'd you end up here?"

A look of interest came upon his face as he turned to speak with my mother. "I'm glad you asked." he said, not letting go of his seriousness. "I came here using a certain power that I obtained years ago, from a being named Yuko." The lot of us scooted up in our seats to listen, as our Mom quietly collected the dishes and continued working in the kitchen. He continued, "It's a useful power, I can use it to travel not only to different planets but different universes. Depending on my energy at the given time, sometimes I can choose, but sometimes I cannot. This time I wasn't able to choose."

"So you ended up here by accident?" I asked.

"Yes." he responded, "Not that I don't like it here, you people sound very nice. I enjoy your hospitality, but I can't stay forever. I'd put such kind people in danger."

"What do you mean?" Bolt asked. "You seem nice enough, but why would we be in danger?"

"You ask questions that I cannot answer..." he said, fading his sentence. He stared down at his feet while he said it, as if he were upset.

I jumped on and almost climbed over the table to turn my head upside down to look up at him. "You were gonna say something else...weren't you?" I asked, pretending to be cute.

He breathed in a quiet, quick breath. "I...can't say. Sorry." He stood up and walked out of the room. Bolt and Wes looked at eachother curiously, but I followed him with my eyes, turning around in my chair so I could keep looking at him. I jumped up and followed him when I lost sight. As my eyes caught him, the front door closed behind him.

I dashed out the front to look for him, seeing nothing while staring out into the darkness. "C'mon Kilik. He didn't mean it! Come back!" I slumped. "Please?" I liked the idea of having someone new around. I liked the attention, and with Tybalt gone now, I didn't have anyone to spend alot of time with. Bolt had his friend, so I didn't really have him.

I sighed and turned to open the door again, but was grabbed on both sides from behind and pulled up onto the roof. "Uhh...huh..whoa!" I watched the door move away from my paw and I looked up to see Kilik there. He placed me down on the roof, and jumped back to lie near the top. It took me a moment to get used to the weird slope, and then I caught my footing. "Why are you...."

"I have my reasons." he said with a straight face. He was so serious, I never would've guessed he'd be kinda nice. Even now, I was almost afraid. "Come. Sit down and watch the stars with me."

I did as he asked, still confused as to why he was acting the way he was. He seemed to change moods quickly. I wanted to ask him why he was being so kind to me, and other things like where he was from, but I kinda hoped he'd read my mind and tell me anyways.

"If you'd perfer I didn't read your mind, then I won't." he said.

I was still dumbfounded, even by now. I should have gotten used to it by now, but it's so weird having someone else say what you are thinking. "No, don't just go and do something to please me. I don't even know you very well, but I'm sure you know everything about me."

"As you wish, I'll continue as I please then." he stated. His expression never changed, just the same neutral, straight-faced look. It was so...strange. He must be thinking about something.

His seriousness turned into a slight smirk. "You have such a pure heart, Roy." he said. "You don't deserve to have your mind violated."

"Heart? Pure? What do you mean?" I asked. I noted his expression change, and it made me feel a little better, I didn't know why though.

"I've seen your past, and I've seen your actions. You're kind to others, and you put others before yourself." he smiled. "It's nice to do those things, but you need to think of yourself every once in a while. If you spend too much time taking things seriously, you'll find out soon that your world will come crashing down on you."

I gasped. My feeling changed from being curious, to feeling guilty. My ears flopped down and went backward, pointing behind my head. I looked down out of shame, and realised something: he was right. I really haven't been thinking of myself lately, and maybe I should start to.

I looked up and saw worry in his eyes. "I hope I didn't upset you." he said. "But it's true. I'm absolutely flattered that you're so kind to me, but-"

"Roy! Honey! Where are you!?" We both looked down and saw my mother standing outside the front door, staring into the darkness in front of the house.

"We're up here Mom!" I shouted back at her.

She jumped a little and made a quick turn around to glare back at us. "What on Earth are you doing up there? You get down here from there, or you'll get hurt!" she said.

I continued sulking, now that my mother was upset. I started to walk back towards her, when I was grabbed again from both sides, but this time I was placed in Kilik's lap. I looked up at him to see him shoot a glance at my mom. My ears perked, and I tried not to hit him in the face with them. "What are you...?" I started, but I was cut off quickly.

"It's ok ma'am. I'll take good care of him." Kilik said. I watched my mother's expression change from a maternal, worried pose, to a understanding, complying pose.

"Oh...I understand." she said. "Ok but don't be out too late, you'll freeze." she walked back into the house and I heard the door shut.

I didn't understand what just happened, but it seems she changed her mind. I don't know what she meant by cold, I was warm. Then again I was being incased by a larger lucario. "What did you do?" I looked up and asked him.

He looked down back at me. "I can also communicate telepathically. I told her that you trusted me, and that I'd keep you safe. Your mother understands our powers as a Lucario, so she didn't seem surprised by me speaking to her like that." His smiles were becoming more frequent, it was nice for a change. I went to lean back on him to relax, but before I did I remembered that Lucario's have a metal spike in their chest. My eyes went wide and I turned around to make sure I was right. Surprisingly I turned to see nothing but the light brown fur. I placed my paw where I remembered one being, and felt around a bit.

"I thought Lucario had a metal spike here." I grabbed one of his paws to examine it. "Yea, you have the spikes here on the back of your paws. What about this one?"

He patted my head. "Naive, young Roy. I'm not a perfect Lucario like you thought. I lost my spike, weary of battle. It was a long time ago, so my fur just grew over it. You could never tell that one was even there in the first place."

"B-battle? How often do you battle?" I asked, leaning back into his chest, and looking back up to the night sky. He sat crosslegged, in order to better hold me up.

"I guess this is a good of a time as any to explain some things to you." he said, joining me in stargazing. "It began in my world, when a tradegy had befallen my prince. Such a tragedy shouldn't be mentioned."

"A prince? You have a prince? That's cool! What was he like?" I began to show interest. I hadn't heard of royalty in our land anywhere other than in my studies. Kings used to rule our planet in past eras.

"Yes. A prince. It's funny you should ask what he was like, because he was almost the same as you." We continued to stare up at the sky. I imagined his world with a magnificent castle, ruled by a pikachu.

I laughed. "Surely you don't mean that the prince was a pikachu and he looked like me." I thought it was a joke, he must've meant the his king acted similarly to me.

He didn't laugh. "Actually, that's exactly what I mean."

I shut up. "Oh. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be rude."

"That's alright, you didn't know. Anyways, he lost his memory, and the onl-"

"Oh no! That's terrible!" I had interrupted him. My ears sunk and went back again. "I'm sorry, I'll just shut up now. Please continue."

He sighed, "Like I said Roy, you're a little naive." He put a paw around me, as if to hold me there. "Anyways, I'm one of his servants, or I guess you could say I'm one of his knights. We're a group of highly trained beings who serve and protect the prince. Not only that, but the prince was a dear friend to me. I watched him grow up, and was there for him always. It's tragic that he lost his memory, because he doesn't know who I am anymore." I went to say something, but thought first and said nothing. I just relaxed and laid back. I began to feel kind of sleepy. "I wanted to help, and I found out that there are a special kind of feather that I need to collect many of in order to save him." he pulled out a gorgeous feather, vibrant with rainbow colors and I looked on in amazement as it shone in the moonlight. I wanted to get a better look, but understood that they're important and that I shouldn't play around with them.

"So you have to collect these things right? To save him? So you'll be able to get his memory back and he'll remember you again!" I said.

"..Not exactly." he said. I was curious. He put it away and placed both of his paws on my belly as I leaned back and relaxed in the comfort of his warmth and security. "I have to travel between worlds to find these feathers, and I learned ability to do so from Yuko, like I said. Only, there was a sacrifice. One that I had to make. It was one of the greatest decisions I ever had to....because...caring......for him......and so....." My mind escaped me, and I drifted to sleep in the comfort of his protection.

-

When I awoke, I was in confusion. I was back in my room, and the last thing I remember was listening to Kilik tell me about his world. I wasn't in focus, but I remember waking up, and I remember what I did. I fell asleep in the comfort of the larger Lucario, and so I wanted to be back in that spot, because I was convinced that it was the only way I'd get back to sleep. My vision wasn't great; slightly blurred from sleep. It was still dark outside, and I pressed on to get up and find him. I wasn't thinking straight, but I felt safe with him, and so I set out to find him. I staggered and left my room.

After a time, I focused and made my way down the stairs really slowly, being careful not to fall. I looked around, and noticed him sleeping on the couch. I slowly walked over and saw him laying there. I looked on at his structure, only now noticing that he looked gentle and calm, rather than fearful and powerful. Seeing such a gentle creature sleeping gave me a warm feeling inside. He was laying on his side facing outward from the back of the couch, in the direction as if he were looking at me. There was space in between him and the edge of the couch were I stood, and so I took it upon myself to jump up there and lay next to him. I pressed my back against his stomach, and made myself comfortable.

I slowly closed my eyes, feeling that safety once again. Before I fell asleep, I heard him laugh. "I see you've grown fond of me, young Roy." he whispered. He placed a paw around me, and I slept in security.
