Chapter of The First
"Chapter The First"
This story starts just outside the small town of Sandgem in a little hut in a little forest. As I awoke there was a little Riolu jumping on my bed, "get up, get up, breakfast is ready" it kept bouncing, "I'm awake Lauren you can stop jumping now" the Riolu stopped than ran out of the room. My name is Cameron or cam for short, I'm a Lucario about four foot seven inches and about 130 lbs. I get my height and my weight from my dad, I'm not fat but very well built in the muscle department.
I am 16 and live with my family of three brothers all younger, and two sisters one older and one younger. In this world humans go out on a quest to train Pokémon, most of the Pokémon don't mind it but I think it's kind of stupid. In my family once your 17 you're out, well my sister found a way around that somehow. Anyways my birthday was in a week that means I would have to leave and hope god that a trainer doesn't catch me.
That week went by fairly quick like they usually did, the night before my birthday I couldn't sleep. After an hour I felt something get on my bed ".....Cam I could hear you moving...is everything ok?" I looked over to see Lauren looking at me "yeah just can't sleep, I'm anxious about tomorrow" all of a sudden she started crying "don't leave I'll miss you". I gave her a hug "I'm sorry but I have to leave you know the rules plus I'll be back to see you soon", she stopped crying "I know but I'll still miss you so much" and held me in the hug for a good ten minutes then she fell asleep.
The next morning I woke up to Lauren still hugging me, I got up took a shower and went downstairs. As I got there everyone jumped up "happy birthday!" startled my eyes grew big and I was about to scream but then I remembered what day it was. We spent the day watching the television and then the time came I told my parents and siblings good bye and gave Lauren a hug and left. I walked along the path knowing that if a trainer sees me that because my species is rare that they will try to do anything to catch me so I stuck to the forest for cover.
As it was getting dark I started to feel tired so I made a fire and a bed and fell asleep. When I awoke I kept on walking not knowing where to go so I just kept walking. All of a sudden I heard a scream to the west and started running to the sound, when I got there I saw a Zangoose on the ground crying in pain. As I approached it heard my footsteps, "GO AWAY" I stared at it "I'm here to help what happened" she glared at me "no one wants to help me I'm a worthless Pokémon who can't do anything" all I could do is stare "You're not worthless" I went over and picked her up "well I'm taking you to the Pokecenter to get you checked up" she tried to fight back but then passed out.
Once we got there every trainer was looking at me as nurse joy looked at me and got a Chancy to grab a stretcher to take the Zangoose in to the emergency room. I asked her telepathically if she could do a full exam on the Zangoose "well ok but it will take some time sorry, where's you trainer" I looked at her and sighed "don't tell anyone, but I don't have one and the Zangoose was alone too" she looked amazed and then asked if I wanted a room because it would take some time for the Zangoose to heal, I agreed and thanked her and she showed me to my room. Inside were two beds and a small television so I lay down and took a nap.
As I awoke I heard a knocking at the door "is this the room of the Lucario that saved my life" I was hesitant to answer but did "yes it is do you wish to enter" I heard the door open and in walked In the Zangoose "I'm sorry for acting like I did I really don't remember anything before that besides my name" I looked at her "it fine you would've done the same to me my names Cameron what's yours" she gave a little smile "well if I remember correctly it is Crystal nice to meet you" we got acquainted with each other and told her how all I was doing before I met her was walking. She was an average Zangoose but with fairly large torso, she was quite beautiful, we spent a couple of nights at the Pokecenter before we left again.
We were walking still as we thought that we should walk to the nearest forest and settle in for a while so we can plan on what to do. The path was riddled with twigs and branches that crunched as we stepped on them. The place we set up was a small clearing that was surrounded by trees and in the background you could hear a river. Once we got comfortable I told her I was going out to fish while she should get a fire going. The fish were plentiful but they were tuff to catch, after what seemed like forever I finally caught two fish and went back to the clearing.
As soon as I left Crystal began Walking and gathering wood. Once she felt like she had enough she went back to the clearing and made a makeshift fire place and a fire. Upon return I saw her sitting next to
the fire lying down on the ground "hay Cameron how did it go" I went and set the fish next to the fire "there were plenty of fish but they were hard to catch" she smiled and sat up grabbed a fish and a stick and started roasting it over the fire.
After we ate it was close to eight o' clock so we decided to gather supplies for a makeshift place to stay. I had gathered the sticks and leaves for the roof and sealed it with mud making a little lean to thing. Crystal gathered some hay for the beds and made them into little mounds just big enough to sleep on. Once all that was done it was close to eleven so we decided to go to bed, it wasn't very comfortable but it worked and we both fell asleep quite quickly.
As I awoke Crystal looked at me "dude you must be used to sleeping in" I looked at her confused and noticed that she had already taken a shower, ate breakfast, and made a fire. "sorry I'm still not used to
waking up early like you" she giggled "it's fine I made you breakfast" I looked at her "thanks" and I got up and grabbed some of the food she prepared. "This is delicious" she smiled "thanks, now where do you think we should go" I thought for a second "I don't know where do you want to go" she gave a look of thought at me "like I would know, I'm not the adventurer of this group" she smiled.
We decided to keep walking down the path and where ever we ended up we ended up we didn't really care. Not to mention that we didn't know where to go in the first place. Sometime later that day We walked into a clearing when Crystal stopped "don't move I think I heard something" her ears twitched and she sniffed the air [that smell it's familiar but I don't recognize it fully]. we waited a few seconds than
kept on down the path, three minutes later while I was day dreaming a blue fur ball jumped out of the bushes and tackled me "hay little bro what's up" she saw the Zangoose "cute girlfriend what's her name" I just stared "Molly what are you doing here, and that's not my girlfriend were just friends I saved her life" she smiled "yeah right I know you better than you think so what's her name" I glared "Her names Crystal, how did you find me" she smiled "I tracked your smell, I left only a few days behind you" she looked at Crystal "so where you guys heading" we looked at her with a smile "we don't know where ever we end up" I then looked at Crystal as she had a confused look on her face, "sorry Crystal this is Molly my older sister she's only a year older than me" Crystal just smiled.
She decided to go with us not knowing where we were going or what we were doing. That night we decided just to make beds and go to sleep because I didn't look like it was going to rain. We ate and went to bed, when we woke up we were soaked so we made a decision to battle someone and take the money and go and buy a tent. The next day we ran into a boy and challenged him to a battle. He stared at me than I remembered that he couldn't understand me so i used my telepathic powers to speak to him in his head he agreed.
The battle was quick; he had three Pokémon so we each got a turn. I got to fight a Charmander, Molly had to fight a Mightyena, and Crystal a Butterfree. The trainer asked how much money we wanted "all we need is enough for a backpack and a tent" he happily obliged and gave us the money and bid us farewells. As we entered town we got a few stares and a few people tried to battle but we declined. We got to the Pokemart and asked for a large tent, the manager went into the back and came back with a box I handed him the money and we left for the forest.
We got back to the forest and it was pretty late so we set up the tent and then I remembered "we forgot to get sleeping bags" Molly looked at me "if I can find the material I can make some" I stared at her "since when can you make sleeping bags" she smiled "mom taught me after you left" sticking her young out at me. I glared at her and she giggled "we'll need to go through the forest and find the items we need for them" Crystal said with a smile "ok" I replied.
The next day we spent looking for the material and after we got them Molly showed us how to make our own. They were comfortable and portable and we each had a different design on them. "hay sis why did you want to follow me" she shrugged her shoulders "I don't know" and that was the end of that. We never really decided on where to go but we really didn't care.
We would battle trainers and we soon came to be known as the "Pokémon warriors" we like the name so we didn't correct anyone. We were the only all Pokémon team to enter any gym battles and fight trainers. We all learned English so we could talk to people easier, making battling easier. People would be eager to battle us but they all lost to our abilities to communicate without them knowing, and the fact that we had gotten almost too strong from battling so much.
During our trip we were at a gym and I noticed that Crystal was acting weird and was spending more time around me. Once we won the badge we went in to the forest and set up camp, we got settled and built a fire. "hay Crystal I have noticed you acting strange what's up" she looked at me strange "what do you mean Cam" I gave her a smile "well you've been acting weird and you have been staying really close to me" she gave a weak smile "well I've been staying close to you because you saved me, and I've been acting weird because of all the battling and stuff" Molly grins at her "I bet you think Cameron is hot" this made me and Crystal blush a deep red.
Molly wouldn't stop giving Crystal crap that she liked me. One day Crystal got fed up with her teasing "SHUT UP, god leave me alone so what if I like him, your just jealous that I have found someone I like" the outburst shocked me and Molly "wow you really like him don't you" Crystal shot her a look of sorrow "yeah and sorry for my outburst than wasn't nice of me" Molly just smiled "it's fine, so you really like my bro don't you?" Crystal blushed a little "well yes I think he is sexy and brave" Molly giggled "eeew, well if you to ever get married than we would be sisters, wouldn't that be fun" Crystal gave her an awkward stare "you mean you don't consider me a sister already" Molly gave her a smile "of course I do it's just that if you got married than it would be official".
At that time I didn't know if I had the same feeling for her as she did me so I didn't bring up the subject. She showed me more affection though, my brain started to think that she was sexy and that she also smart and that we would make a good couple. So one day we were walking so I ran up to her "hay Crystal I have been think of you lastly and... Well I think that your smart and sexy" I said with a gulp "are you saying that you would like to out with me" I nodded "yes that would be what I mint" she gave me a kiss "oh you really are a sexy mon Cam I would be stupid to not take you up on that offer" we held hands and we walked back to Molly and told her the news "ohh how sweet so are you mates also" this made us blush "we haven't thought of that sis" I said "well we'll get to that at another point" Crystal said with a giggle.
That day was one of the happiest in my life but I couldn't stop this feeling that I forgot to do something I said I would. Then It hit me I haven't returned home to see my family in quite some time. "hay hon. what do you think of meeting my family" Crystal smiled sweetly "I would love to meet them are that all older than you" I shook my head "not only my parents and Molly are older I have three younger brothers and a younger sister" we walked up to Molly "hay sis do you want to go see the family" she shook her head yes "I haven't seen them in forever and it would be nice" I nodded and said to them both "ok so were going home it should take about two months if we remain at this pace so let's get going". We soon went our way so they can meet my family.
The whole group looked at one another and nodded; in a couple of months Cameron would be able to show his family his new friend and vice versa
