Story Notes:

Sorry for the suck ass summary. Been out of the game for such a long time that I decided it's about time I began working again. I hope you all will enjoy the story as much as I enjoyed working on it. :)

A carefree priestess

Hammers rise and fall, the sound of metal striking metal peeled through the noisy market from blacksmiths' workshops. A shiny lucario, clothed in a white robe embrodied with gold thread, walked through the market to make her way back home. She gave a passing smile to the mixed crowd of humans and pokémon that made eye contact with the lucario priestess. Along her way back while still navigating the huge crowd, she kept her eye open for a shop in particular. When she saw it, she grew excited but sighed in dissiapointment when she saw a sign that said "Closed."

Once she returned home, she sat her bag next to the door then laid down on her couch. Being in the priesthood granted her better living space and she had more furniture and other benefits then most other citizens of Azkrazak. She looked over at the fireplace and whispered a word which ignited the fireplace magically.

After relaxing on the couch for a while, she realizes the time and goes to her bathroom. She turns on the water and disrobes all the way down to her "bare" body. While the warm water flows into the tub, the lucario looks at her body in a full length mirror. Aria's fur glistened and shimmered in the sunlight that came through her window that looks out over the sea. She was well endowed for her size.

After the tub filled up to her liking she grabbed a jar of lotus petals and let several float down to the water and slips into the water, murring softly at the warm water. While bathing, she looks out the window and stares at the clear blue sky and begins to drift into another daydream.

Aria slowly drifted into a daydream while taking her bath and dreamt of a male silver lucario. The lucario from her daydream was actually a "man" of honor who fought in the arena of Azkrazak. His physical strength, combined with his aura, allows him to wield two handed weapons in just one paw! The other arena combatants call it a titan's grip to wield two handers with just one paw. Jakar is his name. Wielding two great axes, he has sundered his opponents and decapitated beasts in a single swing. Of course, he was the greatest warrior of his time in the scrolls of arena history.

About five years before, Aria became infatuated with him ever since she first saw him. The priesthood was asked to help heal the arena fighters after the matches as a volunteer service, which the acolytes were required to do so before becoming part of the priesthood. Aria was taken to the arena to help rejuvenate the exhausted arena fighters. When she first saw him come down the spiral ramp to the ring, she stared in awe as he came down with a zweihander. Fresh from the fight, and some what covered in the blood of his late opponent, Aria immediately offered to help him relax. Jakar smiled and gladly accepted. Although Jakar never realized that Aria had a crush on him at first sight.

After drying herself off, she began to dress. She slipped on her undergarments then her acolyte robe of the Priesthood and went over to the door where her staff leaned next to it. Aria grabbed her staff and bag as she was heading out the door and locked it behind her then set off towards the arena. Aria had a big smile on her face as she thought her position over in her head. This is the day. My last day of training in the Priesthood to begin my own path in life. The last day I have to restrain myself from pursuing a relationship. Her tail wagged happily behind her as she walked. She passed through the bazaar again which was less crowded than earlier. Aria passed by Jakar's blacksmith and smiled as her paw went down to a dagger that was hidden in her robes. Jakar crafted a dagger for her in case of the unlikely event she needed to defend herself and her staff wouldn't help much.

While walking, Aria smiled as she saw children running around with growlith and poochenya companions. The young were laughing and giggling while the pokémon were having fun just running with their keepers. Shinx and luxios watch from the alleys as the children played. Aria began to hum a pleasent tune as she nears the arena.

Aria slowly walked toward the arena with a smile on her face but she held her nose as the smell of blood reached her. A man sat reclined in a chair while constantly watching the passing crowd for any theives. Aria approached the man with a friendly smile and waved at him, "Hello Alfred. How's Gertude?" The make looked up when he heard Aria's voice. "Hi there ya young lass. Me wife is fine. Yer just in time for Jakar's grandchampion title match," Alfred replied with a smile, "He be gettin ready in the fighter's den." Aria bowed, "Thanks Alfred."

As Aria turned to walk to the door to the fighter's den, Alfred grabbed her by the arm, "Hold on there lass. There's something I gotta tell ye." Aria tilted her head while Alfred looked around a few seconds as if looking for any eavesdroppers. Alfred talked in a whisper into Aria's ear, "There's been talk 'round town lately. None of it good. People have been dissappearing. Either lured someplace secluded or right off the streets. Only thing connecting them is that they were pokémon and they were 'rare' in some way or fetching to the eye. Sometimes both." Aria's eyess went wide as she gasped. Alfred continued, "Watch yer back. No tellin' when it may happen and by the Gods, hopefully it won't be you who is next."

Alfred lets go of Aria's and she went through the door into the door. Alfred's warning repeated over in her head while her head hung low and seemingly distraught. As she rounded the corner, she bumped into someone and grabbed her by the arms, "Whoa! Be careful where you're going Aria." Aria's ears perked up and found herself blushing as she stared at Jakar's face. The silver furred lucario smiled, "I'm really glad you're here today." Jakar lets go of Aria's arms and walked toward the wrought iron portculis that would open once the match was ready to begin. Aria looked over Jakar. He was clad in his arena armor. The pauldrons were spiked and polished while his torso armor is multi-plated and was painted with a reddish hue. The armor was a grayish black. Plate armor also covered his legs but didn't cover at his reverse joints, tail, and feetpaws.

Jakar sighed, "I'm not sure if I'll survive this. The arena champion is supposively a warlock of great power... Not one of my advantages..." Aria's ears folded back, "I'm sure you'll be victorious. Nothing has ever stopped you before." Jakar smiled and grabbed his two handed axes off the rack.

Aria stepped back as Jakar began to practice swinging his weapons around. Jakar wielded both two handed weapons in just one paw. He striked some practice dummies, cleaving them in half horizontally and vertically. Jakar smiled in satisfaction then placed both weapons on his back but then sighed. Aria stepped toward him and took one of his paws between both of her paws. "You'll be fine Jakar. I know you will." Jakar smiled and his tail wagged slowly.

As he was about to reply, his smiled faded away as the wrought iron portculis to the ramp to the arena ring was raised. Jakar sighed and turned to Aria, "Thank you for supporting me Aria and for being my priest." Jakar leaned down to Aria's face and gave her a kiss on her cheek. Aria's face were flushed red with a heavy blush as her face went blank. Jakar took his paw back and walked up the ramp to the arena, both of his axes in hand. Aria, still stunned by the kiss, stood there then eventually placed her paw up to her cheek. Her mouth curved upward into a smile, The first time he kissed me on the cheek... she thought to herself.
Chapter End Notes:As I said, I'm getting back into the swing of things I promise to make my chapters longer as I go on. But let's see how much I'll be able to do that though. X(
