    Umm... There is a 20 pm limit an hour? Is that the default for the system thingy or was that implemented and why? That seems rather stupid unless there is an underlying reason for this

    AFAIK that was to stop PPL RPing via PM |=(:3

    Why would you want to stop that in pm's? Isn't it called PRIVATE message? As in, it's your own business and you can do whatever you want, to an extent? (Nothing illegal, obviously, but otherwise?)

    The 20 PM/hour limit is a default setting for this software to prevent abuse and stop denial of service attacks. Regular forum posts have similar limits that can be adjusted.

    Frankly you shouldn't need to send more then 20 PMs an hour. Use the IRC if you want to do this.

    I've noticed that checking other users friends list is no longer an option. is that for private protection reasons?

    The feature has not existed since the switchover to the new forum software.

    The feature is unlikely to be reimplemented due to privacy concerns.
