      How can I describe it?

      I'll try, the colors you used to fill the characters have a more red tone, making me think the broken heart is a red overlay, filtering out other colors :)

      Ah, no, not really, that's the colour they're fur naturally is. Scarlet(right) has crimson fur due to an anomaly and Storm(left) gets his colour from his mother.
