Chapter One - Live to Scribe another day.

It has been several days... I knew that much. It took a while before I could find a calendar. Almost two months, since I last saw civilization, since the world knew me as a man. I now stood before the entrance to the house, cheeks buzzing with new power, nearly numb in sensation... was this what a raichu went through in life? a constant charge-up? a need to release electricity all the time? I looked down at myself... I had a lot to go over. I knew my work was cut out for me then... more so than before. I turn to Jonas, there by my side, giving a meek, if worried, smile. "Doesn't look like they trashed our home, at least."

Jonas stood beside her looking around some as they were before their home. It was nice to be home after so long stuck in captivity, and used by Rocket as breeders and other things. He looks to Artemus and returns her smile looking back at the door. "Yes it seems they haven't, but we must be very careful Art they are probably searching for us. Did they know of our home before you joined in on that project? I remember you said they made you stay at the lab to keep the work a secret."

She shook her head. "We both stayed there together, after all. Even if they knew, they probably didn't care then. That said, can your powers sense any booby traps or stuff they might have left behind?" she asked him, hopefully... it wouldn't really help the moods or senses if they blindly walk in on a trap set in their own home.

Jonas shook his head with a small sigh. "I'm afraid I can't, Art. I can only see if people are there. I can't see through walls or see what's happened in the past of inanimate objects. I still think maybe going to the Jenny's about this might help us some. If anything, they might be able to examine our house and make sure it's safe."

She then put a hand up to her arm, as if feeling for a nonexistent bruise. He was right... they'd be better qualified to handle this. "Assuming they believe that I am who I am," she blurts out. "But... you are right. And there's no sense in waiting," she continued, trembling in roughed up clothes. "We should go; hopefully we're not too late for them to have everything checked out," she said, trailing off with an awkward feeling 'chu'... like a feral of her kind would say.

He looks at her a moment looking over her clothes and takes a breath looking back to the house. "I could go in there and look around to at least get you something better to wear than tatters. I can teleport myself out if I sense something wrong. Any clothes you think you'd have and where they would be that would fit you?"

"I appreciate the gesture," she nods in return. "I don't... think I changed that much in size, either. Did I?" she looked back questioningly... a momentary 'female' moment? She shook her head to clear her thoughts. "I... erm, well, it's not like I'd have any 'female' clothes, anyway..." she managed to say. It wasn't like she was in the particular mood to wear any, either. Jonas looks at her hearing the question and couldn't stop himself from making his comment. "Well you are definitely more shapely than before. More easy on the eyes too. Though you are right you don't have any that would fit you properly. Do you maybe have any lab coats or something unisex that would fit?"

She looked at him weird there. What an... awkward thing to say. But she couldn't particularly blame him... he was a male, and she probably 'smelled' differently too. She stammered for a moment...

"nn--Iii... crap, I don't know if I still do. Worth a shot, though."

He taps a footpaw upon the ground a moment. "Well where would they be? Closet in your room I'm guessing?"

"I might not remember fully my wardrobe after two months of captivity, but I remember that much," she snickered, reaching over to pat his shoulder with a smirk.

He raises a brow at the pat to his shoulder and a smirk. He could easily read her mind but it was an unspoken rule with them that he wouldn't do so unless it was necessary. "So I'm guessing that is a yes then? Would you prefer a lab coat or a T-Shirt and something to wear upon your lower body?"

She nodded, but then put a finger up. "and no trying to sneak any of the 'garments' from your conquests either," she says again, a half-serious, half-joking look on her face. She knew her friend was able to enjoy himself, and it wasn't uncommon for such active males to keep 'souvenirs' of those they mate with for their own.

Jonas looks at her and smirks chuckling some. "Oh Art, it's good to hear you tell a joke. But even with the few female trainers I've mated after mating their Pokémon, I never got any souvenirs as you so put it. Still, say you should've came along on some as there we're some that would've been all over you. Step back when I teleport in, just in case and if you see me port out and don't give the okay then run...fast..." He nods to her and ports himself into the house to search for her a bit of clothing.

She blushed some, as it felt a bit weird for her to think about that now, too. She had to wonder whether it was her brain playing tricks with her, or trying to adjust to the new body before she was ready? Either way, she did as he asked, looking at the open windows, ready to see if he gives any signs for her to high-tail it. If nothing else, hopefully the changes meant she could run faster...

Jonas would be within the house for many minutes he giving no signs or signals. After what seemed like forever he reappears holding a pair of sweatpants, a T-Shirt, and a lab coat tossed over his shoulders. He took a breath as he holds out the garments to her offering a hard smile. "Doesn't seem to be booby trapped or any odd smells coming from anywhere, though I rather still let the jenny's give it a once over. Growlithes and Arcanine's sense of smell is way better than mine. Hope you don't mind going indian; none of your boxers would fit you."

She could only groan in annoyance at the thought... but sighed, knowing there wasn't much else she could do about it. "So long as I don't have any ferals trying to mount me again out here and all, that's about the best I can hope for."

Art looked through the clothing... relieved that at least they seemed to be too busy to do anything to her home. But the risk of them coming back would also be great. "I... hate to put you on the spot like this, but could you get our backup drives at least? Even though my genes are all different now... it would be nice to have something to look back on," she said meekly, looking up at him.

Jonas crosses his arms thinking for a moment. "Well, the desktop would be too hard and I'd rather not be in there waiting for it to backup the system. Though the laptop should be mostly up to date though the battery is dead by now. I'll grab it while you get changed, and no worries on getting mounted. I highly doubt we'll run into anything I can't handle on the way," He makes a joking flexing motion then ports himself back inside.

She nodded, then looking around for somewhere to hide... heading around to the back of the house, away from prying eyes... she sighed, setting aside the ripped clothing she still had from being in the capture of that lab... the last thing to have been on him when she was still a he. She looked at it awkwardly... feeling the pressure well up in her cheeks... frustration making her send an errant bolt of electricity through her body and outward, blinking as the surrounding static shatters a nearby light bulb. Quickly, she puts on the new clothing, feeling how it rubbed against her chest, as if she needed further attention drawn to the fact she was female now. At least the lab coat felt familiar, and comfortable.

Jonas appears, holding a laptop carrying case in his hand, looking around for Art. He would get a bit worried not seeing her, but took a breath and concentrated picking up on her scent. He guesses she went to the back to change deciding to wait a couple more minutes before going to check on her.

She came around the corner as he did, blushing some. "...Sorry. guess I took too long," she says nervously, but sighed... at least she was in fresh clothes, with only a small alteration to fit her new tail.

Jonas smiles letting out a soft sigh, seeing she was okay and glad the clothes fit her mostly. He holds out the bag to her, nodding. "Well the battery is dead but everything is there. It's odd in that they would abduct us and yet not take everything from us. Maybe they figured we'd never escape."

"Or we did enough at the lab to keep them busy. I'm sure more... victims will start showing up among the population, too," she says again. "They couldn't afford all the attention then."

Art then looked about. "So long as some trainers don't try catching me either, we might be able to at least get some of our normal life back, right?"

Jonas looks at her giving a small nod. "Yes, it is possible we'll see more, but then people will start taking notice so they'll have to be careful." He glances about glad that the police station wasn't far and was a straight shot down the road. "Well I'm not sure how the balls would work on you, but for now I still think it's best to stay out of the woods or grass. And hopefully, Rocket didn't hit your account so we could withdraw that, and after getting the okay we get a moving van and leave this town. Maybe even move to another part of the world and start over and make our lives normal."

"Yea... but change or stay... I have to finish what I started. I have to get rid of this curse... even if it means the end of my family line," she says again, looking away and feeling a pang of depression... knowing it was already a challenge before. Now it would seem it got a whole lot more difficult. She then looked back at Jonas, and saw the station in the distance. "Let's go."

Jonas looks at her reaching over placing a paw upon her shoulder. "You'll figure out a way; after all, you're the one that broke the line between Pokémon and human." He trails his paw to her chin and lifts up her head gently. "Chin up now... Just because your form has changed, doesn't mean anything. Technically, you now have something you didn't before...an almost endless supply of eggs and a female body, so your readings can be even more accurate."

"Yea... but well, you saw how bloody I was during then... and that shit hurt," she mentioned, grumbling... "and well... what am I supposed to do if I go into heat again? what if..." she trailed off, thinking of a few different scenarios... and one potentially being of him aiding her. Which felt both awkward to think about - given their history - and further, the risk of activating the curse. the fear that her only friend could potentially condemn her to a painful death... it frightened her.

Jonas nods, knowing how females get in their heats all too well. He just smiles as she starts rambling and doing her what iffing chuckling a bit. "We'll worry about that when the time comes. Worse case, we could test and see how compatible we are and go from there. But then there's always other ways to pleasure the human body outside of mating." He reaches behind her and gently nudges her forward to start walking, knowing she'd keep going on and on if not. "Come on... We are wasting daylight, and I rather get our home checked and move quick as possible."

Much as he predicted, she started to move with the nudging, walking along the road toward the station, her mind running through the what-ifs that she needed to consider now. It was annoying... but she'd have to think about what she would do. She needed to figure this stuff out... and the earlier she could, the better.

She looked about, seeing the others stare at them... which didn't help her self-esteem either, her sub-conscious thinking they were all staring at her.. like she wanted to be like this. Jonas stayed near her their whole walk; while it wasn't a long one, it was still a good hike on foot. He looks at Art as they move through the streets to the police station, feeling the eyes and hearing the thoughts of others. He just shook his head, glad art couldn't read thoughts as some ranged from cruel words to quite perverted thoughts. They finally reach the station and he opens the door, letting her go in first, just hoping they believed them.

She stepped in, approaching the guestbook and signing it, as she looked for a place to sit... looking about and seeing the station for the first time, as well as seeing all the identical jenny sisters in their uniforms. "... quite a lot going on here," she comments. Even though not many were ahead of her in the list, she had the feeling they might be waiting a while. Jonas sits beside her looking over at all going on behind the counter and through the window. "Hmm, possibly though we did raise quite a ruckus... so it probably attracted their attention to the hideout. Hopefully, they raided the place and captured many of them."

"that would explain it..." she looked about, as soon she saw some officers heading past them, and what looked like one approaching the clipboard.

"... McCray? Artemus.... " she stopped to look at the rai girl, the Jenny putting two and two. "We thought you were dead." Jonas looks at the Jenny raising a brow at her words then back to Art. "Well, that might explain why they didn't trap the house. Put in the records are that you are dead, and just let the system take all your assets and all. Though normally it doesn't take two years for that to happen."

The Jenny looked at them. "So you're... really, Artemus McCray? um... weren't you supposed to be like a lanky red-headed dude?"

"You can blame team rocket for that, ma'am," she folds her arms. "In any case... my house isn't that far from here. And well, I'd rather not be careless and verify that anyone booby trapped my house... after what I've been through, the last thing I need is to be betrayed by my old place of residence."

The Jenny nods understandably. "I understand... miss McCray. I'll have some officers check the home in just a short minute or two. I would go, but I've still some reports to fill," she said, relaxing her tone at least, which in turn let art's ears and nerves relax some.

Jonas stays silent as the two talk. He looks at art as she refers to her as a she and says they will check things, then move away. "Well that seemed a bit too easy. Though, I doubt their suspicions are sated and they probably don't fully agree. Probably will make you do a blood test at least to prove you are who you are claiming to be."

"Yea... assuming the right parts would line up in my genome," she grunts in annoyance. "I wish she didn't just so quickly refer to me as if I've been a woman all my life," she looked outside the nearest window, seeing the familiar haze of the setting sun in the sky...

Jonas nods reaching over rubbing her shoulder some. "They have to refer to you by what you look to be, unless they know otherwise. And I'm sure things will line up after all. It was only your gender that changed; everything else is still the same. Remember, gender can be altered through surgery and the use of medicine. Genetic code still remains the same."

"but they altered my genes, Jonas..." she looked up at him. "to make me this way."

Jonas nods, his mind rolling through all the possibilities and matters that could arise. "Yes but only what was needed to be altered. You're still the same art in all aspects but physical form. I highly doubt the blood tests would fail and even if do there's other ways to prove it."

She nodded again, wanting to believe him... wanting his words to ring true... she still didn't know just how much of a puzzle fest her genome might look like now. but she could only hope enough of her original set were still there... somewhere.

She then watched another Jenny call for her to come up. "Um... McCray...? Though you do sound like the guy, there's still the matter of verifying your identity, so that we can at least get everything straightened out. Would you come with me?"

"... guess it's not going to wait, huh?"

"it's just a formality," she says, leading her to one of the labs in the station, where they could perform their tests.

It didn't take long for Art to sit up in the lab, rolling up a sleeve to let one of the personnel take a sample for some blood work. A meep from the quick stabbing motion their person did seemed to suggest he wasn't used to working on people that were still alive... or people that weren't arrested. "Easy with that, will ya?"

"Sorry..." was all he said. "Now, it'll take about an hour at most to compare your blood now to what we had on record from the backups you so provided. Since it's obvious a full match isn't possible, we'll have to see how much of it actually matches, which could take longer."

She nodded again, tentatively... also wanting to know how much of her old self still resided in her genes now.

Jonas let them do their thing... He mostly looking around and dipping into minds here and there, for thoughts and ideas. After the officer left the room leaving them alone again, he looks over at Art. "Well, I guess for now, we wait till they return. Where do you think we should move to when we do, Art?"

"Where could we go? I... I don't know," she thought about it more, her mind running through possibilities again. Even if they left the region altogether... could they really be safer for it? would they even be accepted as they were? One could only hope. "We don't really have any family anywhere... so we're on our own for finding a place... finding work, and all that."

Jonas nods having his eyes closed as he spoke. "That is true; we're on our own and only by going somewhere far away could we guarantee our safety. As for being accepted, well, that possibly won't happen, though if we live outside of the cities in the forests then we shouldn't have many problems."

"It seems wrong to run away... it's like we're letting them win," she grunts in annoyance. "but I don't exactly have any better ideas, either," she said sadly, her tail coming up under her legs, meekly. She listened as a few passed by their door... her larger ears able to pick up more things as she looked about, while staying close to her 'kazam.

Jonas reaches over rubbing her shoulder lightly. "Don't think of it as running away, but as going into hiding so we can come back to fight another day. In your state, we can't even hope to fight Rocket. Right now, you're basically like a Pichu just learning its electric attacks. We have to train you and help you learn to control and use it."

"I appreciate the thoughts, Jonas... and you're probably right. If I'm going to spend the rest of my life as a new species, I could see what I can do with it. I'm still not exactly... fond of this, though," she gestures to herself, referring more to the gender. It wasn't as if she had willingly submitted for such an experiment.

Soon, a Jenny arrives with the results, and looked at the notes. "According to this, there was a partial match... it's enough to say that some of your dna does belong to Artemus McCray... but it's not enough for what the law requires to say that you are who you claim you are," she said, then going through the list. "There are other things we can do to verify... though some of these would only really work if you were still... your original gender, too..." she looked back at art. "Are you sure you're not his sister or something?"

The rather incredulous words from the officer just seemed to make her even more anxious and agitated. "I never had a sister... my mother died after having me!" she trembled then, her eyes welling up as her mentality was being strained by these officers... unnerved and feeling as if they were treating her like some phony trying to steal her own, albeit former, identity.

Jonas looks on, as she comes back and gives the report. He sighs some as he expected as much to happen, but as he seen Art start to get upset he walks over and places his hands upon her shoulders. "Shhh Art calm yourself she's just doing her job." He lowers his head, gently placing his forehead to the back of her head, and gently feeds her mind with the song his mother used to hum to him while she was carrying him. He had memorized this little song from a recording his father had made before. Jonas usually did this when Art became angered or stressed while working to help calm and relax him.

Artemus stiffened some as she felt some hands on her, then felt a rush of sensation... a chill that seemed to soothe. She heard Jonas' words, the rub making her exhale, her ears flopping down to the sides of her head. As the contact continued, she could hear that simple hum... it was a rare thing to hear anymore for her now. But it still managed to have that effect...

A couple of tears forced themselves past to moisten her eyes, then gasping softly for air as she tried to console herself, leaning into the 'kazam's touches, making herself pliable to his grip.

Jonas lets his hands move to rub her arms lightly as he continues to hum for a moment, feeling Art start to calm down. He felt her lean back some, her new scent flowing to his nose causing him to lean her back against him. He holds this for a moment, before snapping out of his trance looking at the Jenny standing there silently.

"Oh sorry about that. I do that to calm 'em though not normally so, uh, intimately..." He shakes his head releasing Art and turning to face the Jenny. "Anyways, I think I have a way to solve this. If you have a BCI or an EEG machine that could read and process thoughts I can produce all the proof you need to not only believe our story but probably deal a severe blow to Team Rocket. Though we want our home checked of traps rocket might have set so we can gather our belongings and get moved away from here to escape from them."

He looks at the Jenny waiting for her answer. He knew he was claiming to withhold evidence but they really couldn't prove it without the machine and being psychic they knew how strong his mind was so unless he wanted to give them the information they would never get it.

Art blushed as she felt his grip wander some, she looking fairly flustered once her mind snaps back to reality, looking back at the Jenny as well.

"... I think we might have something, then," she turned toward another Jenny, instructing her to get a team to the house to have it cleaned for bugs or devices, before returning to us. "Come with me."

Jonas took a breath, relaxing himself as heard her agree to it. He had a good idea that his claim would work, as he knew well of the struggle team rocket has caused the law. He looks to art a moment before turning and waving a hand for her to come along. "Come on Art, I need you for this too." He smiles at her the smile one she's seen on him before. One that told her not to worry he knew what he was doing and had it all planned out in his supercomputer mind.

Art was stunned by the relative blur of what happened. Jonas was actively suggesting to read her thoughts, her memories, and project them for the police. She saw his face, and then as if against her better judgment, reached up to take his hand, and follow his lead.

He would have to be careful, given the inherent risks of invading and accessing another's thoughts. She still feared them... it was a troubling memory after all. And despite the natural desire to want to block them from her memory, she couldn't - their trauma and their effect on her great... after all, she would still be a man if not for what had transpired there.

They would follow to a separate room, which looked like a modified version of a room meant to interrogate witnesses or alleged criminals. Inside were several tables with different gear, and among them sets of head wear, with various links and straps to accommodate various sized heads. The Jenny that led them there went over to the row of computers and machines to start them up, so they could be ready to gather necessary data. "Normally, we only bring criminals who allege blackouts or psychic crime victims in here. These devices we find can be pretty powerful to a human mind, so we don't use them very often... mainly, if there's no other alternative to get at the truth."

Jonas looks at her as she takes his hand, it tightening a bit protectively as they move through the station to another room. He knew delving into her mind was risky, but it was needed and he would make sure to isolate the thoughts from Art's. He can read them easily, but Art would see them, which he didn't want. He looks around the room as they arrive eyeing a couple of the machines. "Well I'm going to read her thoughts so the machine needs to fit my head. I refuse to allow Art to re-live it, so I'm going to induce sleep as it will make things easier for all involved." He turns and looks at Art as he finished telling his plan. "Is that okay with you Art? I don't want to make you remember them or even see them so I figured putting you to sleep would be best."

Art looked at both of them... at Jonas, and at the Jenny. It was true... she didn't want to relive those memories... memories that seemed to bring back the pains she also felt through the ordeal. She took a few breaths. "You kind of... already know how I feel," she said toward Jonas. "But... I just want my life back, too," she commented toward the Jenny, her eyes half-lidded sadly. "I... I'd rather stay, but I know that's just asking for a price on my head, if not worse," she continued, seemingly rambling with the mental conflict. "Can you actually accept what he'll broadcast, as my testimony?"

The Jenny looked at the two, then put a hand to her chin. "Given it is coming from your memories, there's little reason to question it, then." Art simply nods. "Give them the truth, Jonas," she looked up at him, entrusting her fate to his care.

Jonas looks to Art as she spoke, just giving a nod knowing staying was out of the question. They need to leave soon as they could, and get as far away as they could. It was the only way they could get their lives back. The only way for them to live a life without fear of Rocket finding them. He looks to the Jenny now and gives a nod, guiding Art to sit in a chair and rubbing her shoulders to help calm her, and allow him to put her into a deep sleep. After he was sure she was asleep, he nods to the Jenny to hook his up, and allow him to start feeding her memories into the machine.

The Jenny watched as Jonas put his friend to a state of rest, seeing Art's face show itself slipping into a trance, until the Rai girl rested with eyes shut. With that, she then grabbed the head gear to hand it to the alakazam, wondering how this 'broadcast' would actually work... but she inwardly seemed to know better than to question a very tall psychic.

Officer Jenny then went over around behind Jonas, unlocking the joints of the headgear until it was finally large enough to go around his larger, bulbous head. After securing it as well as the straps allowed - a challenge given that the gear wasn't meant to go on a Pokémon, much less one like he - she then went over to the computers, checking the readouts to ensure they were able to 'sense' the active mind, and find a frequency to link with his brain activity. "Alright, this is going to take a few moments until it can sync with your brain wave frequencies. After which, I'll start the recorder, and you can begin your broadcast. Are we clear on that?" she asked the Pokémon, knowing well enough that he should know what he was getting into.

Jonas nods watching her as she moves about "Yes I've read how these work so no worries." He waits for her to finish then he took a breath and closes his eyes concentrating the machine starting to read his thoughts already. He links his mind with Art's casting a slight glow around her head as he accesses the thoughts they wanted. He also works on the side making sure to keep Art in a deep enough sleep so he wouldn't dream what was being shown as the picture started forming.

The next screen that was meant to show the recordings, remained blank, until static... and finally...

Artemus's voice - his original voice - could be heard, as the two were apparently having a stroll, a momentary break from his research when they were captured, with the screen seemingly blanking out, only to keep hearing voices... a bag to blind them, and the thud of something whacking him to subdue the scientist.

It was when he could see again, that he'd felt a sharp pain in his arm, and then looked out to see at first some outlines of different figures... one eventually clearing to show the scientist that had injected him. Though most memories were usually sketchy after a time, art's memories of the event became disturbingly clear, looking at his hands and body as the viral-based mutation took hold of his form, turning him into the female that now lay in the room...

Jonas kept his eyes closed as he fed the thoughts into the machine. He was separate from Art at this time, so it was his first time seeing them as well. He kept his concentration up, though anger could be seen showing on his face some. The Jenny on the other hand was just watching looking like she was watching a horror movie; her face had almost all its color gone, and her mouth hung partially open. Jonas kept digging, being sure to focus upon the change to prove who Art was but now fed into the days of them trying to breed her. Them bringing in ferals to attempt to mate her, though her fear causing her powers to go off and shocking herself and her attempted breeders. They soon tried to use a Hypno to knock her out and lock out her electricity, and allow a few to mount and breed her.

The images of this would be sketchy and parts missing by when she was knocked out, but she would wake and be sore, and she laying in feral semen of many types. He forced this more going to really give the police a shock but the Jenny would speak up into almost a yell. "Okay stop. That is enough." Jonas slowed the link it fading to black, with Art giving a scream realizing what it was she was covered with and a simple thought. 'Oh god I'm going to die. Please stop doing this before I die!' After a long moment and the screen going black, Jonas opens his eyes and after calming Art's mind back down he releases her, to allow her to wake naturally. He shakes her lightly, then moves his arms and removes the head piece looking over at the Jenny. "Would you say that is enough evidence?"

Officer Jenny simply nodded, rubbing her shoulder, looking back at the panicked Rai girl... er, man. She didn't know how to address Art then. With such a trauma, neither seemed appropriate. "... I think the press will need to see this, too," she said. Normally such investigations would have a standard policy of blocking out the press. But in truth, these atrocities needed to be known... so that any other victims could at least have the nerve to come forward and make themselves known. "I'm going to... go check on their progress with your home. Excuse me," she said... though the look on the officer's face seemed more of a need for a pressing need to hurl. Art then looked up at her friend, a bit confused, but also relieved that she wasn't reliving those moments in time again.

Jonas watches the Jenny leave before kneeling down by Art, an accomplished and yet apologetic look upon his face. He looks at her a long moment, before reaching up running a finger along her cheek slowly. "I'm sorry I wasn't there for you Art. Though I must say that she believes it, every bit and Rocket will take a very hard fall for this."

She shivered nervously, still recovering from the aftershocks of the memory-induced nervous shots of pain that she had felt. She could only take some nervous breaths, looking up into his eyes. Even now, she felt she had even more questions about her past, that her mind seemed intent on trying to block out. Namely... how in the heck did she not get impregnated by those ferals yet? Worse yet is she wouldn't know if she'd ever find anyone who could answer that question definitively. She simply remained quiet for the moment, giving herself time to recover from the shocks.

Jonas looks down some, he couldn't help but wonder the same as her. He would have to look into this further, but after they move and can work in safety. He lifts his eyes reaching up to rub her shoulders lightly. "Are you okay Art? I made sure to block the thoughts from fully surfacing but accessing them at all can cause flashbacks or your body to react upon them."

She meekly nodded, reaching up to rub her forehead as she sat up, checking her body over again, and seeing no new gashes or cuts either, taking some breaths as she tried to relax herself, blushing as she looked back into his eyes. "Yea... it just felt so strong, you know...?" she managed to say to him. It was true that she felt the shots of pain from reliving those memories... but unlike the inflictions where they actually happened, those tend to 'go away' faster.

After a while, the Officer Jenny arrived back in the room. "I just received the all clear from those at the site. They're packing up now... if you'd like, I can give you a ride over. You've... been through enough," she said, attempting to address Artemus in the most gender-neutral way she could.

Jonas stands as Art says she's okay giving a nod to her words "Yes it is. Why I wanted to be the one feeding the thoughts. I wanted to put the least amount of pressure upon you. I didn't want you to be hurt anymore."

He looks over as the Jenny re-enters and gives them the okay he looks back to Art, smiling. "Well you ready to go? We need to check your account pull out any money if there is and get a moving truck." He looks back at the Jenny raising a brow "Mind if make those couple stops and offer up an escort in case they have roadblocks?"

"The team might be pulling out of the house, but after this, there is going to be quite a few crawling around the area. If Team Rocket wants to make a move, they'd have a hard time making it for now," she said. "I'll have a couple from the night shift stay and guard. All those places would be closed already," she said with a sigh, gesturing to the nearest clock - it was already nighttime after all that had transpired.

Jonas nods but gives a heavy sign seeing the time on the clock. He looks back at Art shaking his head then turning to look at the Jenny. "What do we do then? I guess we'll just pack what we can and try and rest tonight. Would that be okay with you art?" "I don't think we've got much of a choice," she comments... there wasn't much else they could do. And about then, her stomach growled. "Should probably order some food if we're going to spend the rest of the night packing, too," she said meekly, trying to creak a smile in spite of everything going on.

Jonas nods helping her up looking to the Jenny "Then I guess let's go. We'll stop on the way and get some food before we get there. Are you ready Art?" She nodded, giving a shrug, knowing they didn't have a whole lot of time to get things taken care of. Her mind for now simply remained occupied on simpler things. She rose to walk with Jonas and the Jenny, as she wondered what her life would be from now on... If she were still a kid, it would be like going on an adventure. Except this seemed to sick and twisted a start to said adventure. Artemus McCray was no longer a man... was no longer human, either. It all felt... wrong. And more than ever, the only soul to confide in was that of Jonas.
Chapter End Notes:A very eventful time for the pair, and a help into some of the backstory for the characters themselves. It also leaves some questions surely needing to be answered, as even they see that some facts are not adding up yet. Time will tell how it is resolved
