Problems arise
Sandy sighed; this was the most comfortable bed she had slept in for ages! She nuzzled her pillow happily, completely unaware that her window was open.
An hour later and she was sound asleep. She had her door locked so she was completely naked underneath her blanket. But the window was open... a solitary shadow, a head of a Pokemon. It slowly looked around the room, and slinked in.
It was a wild Vaporeon! It was very under nourished... its bones showed through its smooth, sleek skin. But because of its slight layer of fat that keeps it warm it still looked all right. It was male, thusly more prone to dangerous activity, like searching a hotel room for food.
He crept around looking for food, not noticing Sandy in her bed. He had runaway because his master had been very mean to his pokemon, not feeding and over-training them, especially Vaporeon.
Misty moved in her bed, making the Vaporeon jump backwards into a large ornament, knocking it over with a loud crash.
Sandy slowly sat up, drowsily mumbled
"Charmander get back in your poke'ball!"
And fell back down, half asleep.
The Vaporeon slinked through the shadows, and climbed onto her bed and walked over to her, his nose near her hair, and let out a long low growl. Sandy sat bolt upright, knocking the Vaporeon to the foot of the bed and looked around the room, then to the foot of her bed, where she felt it seep in.
The poor thing was knocked nearly unconscious. Whining, it looked up at her, misery on its face, and collapsed in a heap. Sandy got up on all fours and crawled over to its limp body and gasped.
In a flash she got up out of bed, got dressed, and called the Pokemon Center. She grabbed her poke'balls lightly picked up the Vaporeon, and left through the window.
Twenty minutes later the Vaporeon awoke in the rain and blistering wind Sandy was enduring to get him to the center. He looked up at her and licked her face. She looked down at him, a smile on her face, tears in her eyes.
Vaporeon thought for a minute, if this girl, who he had just one minute ago growled at, was this determined to get him to a pokemon center maybe not all humans were bad.
Sandy opened one of her poke'balls and let out Her Charmander.
"Charmander!" she yelled above the wind," Use Sunny Day!"
Charmander did as he was told and the rain stopped.
She withdrew Charmander, and kept walking, tears still running down her face.
Sandy was thinking about what kind of monster would do this to their pokemon... A Team Rocket Grunt no doubt! She gave herself a mental note to hate them more.
She got to the Pokemon Center and ran over to Nurse Joy.
"Joy!" Sandy sobbed.
"Oh, my what happened to your Vaporeon?! What have you-?"
She stopped in mid sentence, noticing Sandy's tears.
"Its not mine!" Sandy sobbed," it crept into my room through the window!"
Joy took the Vaporeon and went into the emergency ward.
Sandy walked over to the phone and called the hotel.
"No I wont be returning until tomorrow," she said, holding back tears," tell my friends that please? Where will I be staying? At the pokemon center."
She then realized that from where they were, the nearest Pokemon Center was over three kilometers away.
She said thanks and hung up, thinking deep. She spent maybe an hour, waiting, watching the light over the door. When it went out it was three in the morning.
Nurse joy walked out and looked over at Sandy,
"He is going to be fine." She said, satisfactorily," but you will need to keep him here till tomorrow afternoon."
"That's fine." Sandy said, she sighed, brushing away tears.
"You really care for pokemon don't you?"
"Yeah, especially water types." Sandy replied." I'm a water trainer."
"Really?" Joy said hopefully" Maybe you could take care of him for me?"
Sandy looked up, tears running down her face again.
"Sure, I'd love to." She said, standing up, shaking Joys hand.
Sandy and Joy left to the dormitories and went to bed.
