Fate



Everything was falling, the world around Destiny seemed to be dropping as she fell further and further down what seemed to be into the gates of hell itself and there was nothing around for her to catch onto, to cling to and death was preparing to take her once and for all. She had fought her fate, took the battle to the very throne on which it was sitting and tried to slay it and now she was going to reap her reward…death. Was this really the end? The end of her life or everything that she had known and loved and was now going to die for? Was her sins about to finally be repaid with her blood and the blood of those who she dragged into hell with her?

“Destiny!” A voice cried out to her from what seemed like far away and was growing further and further away with each passing second. “Destiny! Damn it grab my hand?”

“Why….” She said as the world was growing darker and darker her mind finally about to black out as she was slowly about to accept her fate. “I deserve this….”

“Not like this. Not before she sees you again.” The voice seemed to be growing closer and closer and though the darkness Destiny felt someone take hold of her as everything seemed to grow black.


[Open field several miles outside of Old Town.]
The field that Destiny and her companions fall into is several miles outside of Old Town and across from a small forest that separates the two areas. The field itself is littered with debris that fell from the floating ruins that is several hundred miles above in the sky. The Sky Ruins as the locals call it is said to house the Throne of Acreus and as such has been referenced to hold great power deep within it though no one has ever managed to reach the inner most part of the ruins. Smaller ruins that are often explored by treasure hunters show evidence that the Sky Ruins might also be used as a meeting place for some of the most powerful legendary pokemon and might even be able to booster their powers. Down below and near the forest that separates Old Town from the ruins is a large flower bed filled with both red and yellow flowers is nestled just outside of the forest creating a very calming scenery for nature lovers.

“You think she’s ok?”

“Maybe she’s dead?”

“Dead? Are we dead? Think about it Icy if we’re still alive then there is a good chance chu girl is still alive.”

Destiny heard familiar voices all around her as she felt herself waking up though couldn’t make out anything yet. The feeling of a strong hand touch her side she looked up to see a dark figure standing over her, her eyes had not adjusted yet to what appeared to be her and the others being outdoors. As her mind returned to her more and more she realized something, how did they survive that fall they were just part of.

“Destiny do you hear me?” That voice from before asked and finally fully awake once more the gal nods looking up to see a Weavile standing over her. “Quiet a fall uh? Not that I was worried since its going to take more than a little fall to kill me.”

“I don’t classify falling a couple hundred feet being a small fall there Icy. Not that I’m complaining but the fact that we survived is a mystery and I’m not so sure I am to happy about it.” Looking over a Typholosion was sitting down on a rock looking around. Destiny was starting to wonder the same thing as there was no way any of them should had survived the fall that they just took and a strange feeling of fear was creeping up into the Raichu. A smaller young voice spoke up to break the silence that was just starting to creep into the air.

“We wouldn’t have fallen if wasn’t for you.” A puff ball of tan and white fur stepped into Destiny’s view and the young Eevee male that had for some reason followed them into the ruins was there his eyes seemed to be full of fear but also a strong hint of anger. “Go deeper in, go fight what laid beyond, there is no way we can lose because we have justice on our side.” The Eevee repeating the words that were said only a few hours ago, words that everyone clung to and believed in, it drove them deeper and deeper to facing their fates and their doom. “Now look at us?” Lifts up the fur around his neck to reveal a black collar with silver spikes sticking out of it, attached to the collar was a tag with the name “Chip” on it.

“Chip…” The Weavile began to speak but then was lost for words. “I never meant for this to happen…” Holds a claw hand to his right wrist where a similar style wrist band was though the name Everice was in silver letters on the inside of the band.

“Ya well it did you dragged all of us into this hot pile of SHIT all so you can save some lost soul!” Chip growled though backed up as Everice gets into the Eevee’s face and pushed him to the ground which no one got up to stop as everyone else was feeling similar feelings.

“Can it you two.” Destiny growled making both boys stand down.

Destiny never planned her and her companions to be thrown out of the floating ruins, or for them to fight against the powerful being that lived in the ruins or for any of them to be dragged into this mess that she blamed herself for. Destiny had been sent on a mission to go to the ruins and investigate the strange energy that had been coming from the ruins for the past week now. On her way to the ruins she met up with the Typholosion who offered to help her out if she would allow him to investigate the ruins for his own reasons that she has yet to find out. While they were looking for a way inside of the ruins Everice the Weavile appears with claims that he knew a way inside and that he was sent her by a message from Arceus himself to save the lost souls inside and Destiny would had sent him away if it hadn’t been for the Weavile being able to actually get them inside. The Eevee named Chip later showed up though wasn’t alone as someone else was with him that Destiny just noticed wasn’t there.

“Where is the flower girl?” Destiny asked finally getting up and shaking herself to help finally fully waking herself up.

“Rose?” Chip asked looking around for his friend. “I…I hadn’t noticed she wasn’t here all this time.” Beginning to panic. “We got to find her!” Everice tried to put a hand on Chip who backed up with a slight growl. “Don’t touch me.”

“Alright. Sheesh just trying to comfort-“

“I don’t need your comfort. It’s you fault we’re here, your fault Rose is missing and it’s your fault I got this collar around my neck.” Began walking around as he was looking for a way to go.

“Calm down both of you.” Destiny spoke up deciding to put a end to the bickering. “Chip try to pick up her scent, we are in a open clearing so it should be easy to pick up the scent of a grass type.” Chip did as he was told and before long picked up what he believed to be the scent of the flower girl and took off.

“Follow him.” Gives chase though neither the Typholosion nor Everice was in any hurry and just followed a short distance behind.

“I don’t like the looks of this.” Typholosion said “To many unknowns and strange things happening, doesn’t sit well with me.”

“Relax sometimes miracles do happen you know.” Everice with that takes off leaving the older fire male trailing behind as he pondered why they were having so much luck at the moment.

“Only miracle I see is that we’re still alive and why do I have a funny feeling it wasn’t thanks to any higher beginning or dumb luck.” The old fire poke looked around as he felt a strange cold sensation run down his spin. “What have I gotten myself into this time?” Takes off as he couldn’t get over the strange feeling that he was being watched and why it brought a cold shiver down his spine whenever he tried to look around to much.

Destiny and the others found themselves walking through a large flower field not to far away from the woods and something was moving around in the center of the field. Stopping to allow Chip and Everice run on ahead towards the moving object the chu gal stops the Typholosion with her tail and looks at him. “What do you think happened?”

“Honestly chu girl I don’t know. If you ask me all of this seems dirty some how doesn’t sit still with me one bit.” Points to his leg as there was a leg band around his ankle with the name…Axel on it. “And these things…don’t remember leaving home with one on.”

“Axel is it huh? What you think we should do old mon?” Destiny asked having seen his name on his leg band. Destiny watched the older mon take a look up into the sky and she then follows his view. She looked towards where they had landed and saw the floating ruins were she then bites her lip as she hated the sight of it and turned her attention to her tail where she had a tail ring on near her thunderbolt tipped end.

“Not let the kiddies get to worked up for starters.” Axel chuckled reminding Destiny of Chip’s little outburst earlier.

“Oh little late to the party on that one old mon. That Eevee was about to rip Everice’s neck out.” Looking over to where everyone was standing Destiny could see a small rodent like girl pop out of the flower bed and fall on top of Chip. “Little strange for a Shaymin to be up in those ruins.” Rosa was a Shaymin that somehow Chip ran into while he was for some reason following Everice and the others though the Sky Ruins. Though then again it was strange for “normal” pokemon who had no business in those ruins to be there and now they paid the price as they were now collared and servants of…wait all of a sudden Destiny couldn’t remember what legendary Pokemon they had fought ruins. “Axel! I can’t remember who we fought in Arceus’s Throne Room.”

Destiny watches Axel try to think it over but could easily tell he was drawing a blank. “Nothing its like everything past us reaching Acrecu’s Throne is gone like it never happened.” It was paramount for the group to remember who collared them since it was that Pokemon that they had to either complete whatever task that was set for them for or kill in hopes of gaining their freedom. No idea of what they needed to do and no of idea of who they needed to kill left the group in almost impossible situation.

“………Aww you guys I wasn’t going anywhere I just wanted to collect some herbs in case anyone was badly hurt.” Rose said happily as Chip and Everice made sure she was alright. Once confirmed Everice left the pair alone as he needed to go talk to the older pokes. Once out of ear shot she decided to speak her mind to Chip. “So did you finally tell him why you were chasing him?”

Chip growled as he took to the side. “What you think now is a perfect time to tell that idiot about my personal problems? I’m beginning to think I shouldn't even had told you since you keep bringing it up.”

Despite it being warm outside Rosa shivered as she looked at Chip’s collar the symbol of his, her and everyone else’s unweaving fates. “Just…don’t let it consume you ok.” Rose took Chip’s paw and looked him in the eyes. “Promise me you won’t let your emotions consume you ok?” Her nose was nearing his and then pressed up against it which shocked the Eevee enough to make him pull away.

“What you want to be my mother now?” Chip asked backing away before turning around and walking back towards and others leaving Rose to catch up. Rose stood there watching the Eevee for a moment her hearting feeling heavy for everything that has happened so far today. Looking back on her hind leg was her own band and mark of her intertwined fate though one of the spikes that was on it was red instead of silver and deep down the fem knew that if she didn’t keep her own emotions in check…no she couldn’t think of that right now and needed to stay focused on the task at hand and began walking so she could join the others.

The group didn't say much to one another for a short while as no one had any idea of where to go or what to do next. Each knew that they had to get these collars off their bodies but whenever anyone tried it felt like they tightened around them even more almost to the point of causing pain until they stopped and then would return to its normal positions. Destiny herself continued to try to remove her tail ring until the point when she felt the circulation going to her tail stop which finally made her give up though leaving a nasty looking bruise from her attempt.

“Happy now?” Axel asked, he had been the first to give up his attempts.

“So that’s it your just going to settle and give up?” Everice asked as he tried to freeze his own band off of his arm though nothing happened. What are these things?
“Symbol of servitude.” Rose answered the fem hadn’t even wasted time trying to remove her own band. “Legends have been known to enlist the help of “normal” pokes throughout time to accomplish task they themselves are otherwise unable to perform. The bands or collars for some are used to show one’s servitude to the legendary pokemon that recruited them and in exchange for our servitude we are given the power needed to accomplish this task.”

“Reason why we didn’t die when we fell from those ruins.” Axel announced. “Told you it wasn’t a miracle, no such things.”

“We had to be chosen for a reason right?” Everice asked everyone else. Destiny rolled her eyes while Axel and Chip shook their heads and Rose said nothing though looks down at her feet as if she didn't want to answer him. “I went to that ruin so I could save the souls of all the pokemon in my home village that Darkria took by putting them to sleep.” Everice looked at Destiny. “Your sister asked me to do so and then that same night I had a dream where Arceus came to me and told me to go to his throne and free the souls of all those trapped by Darkria. Don’t you see Dest…Arceus gave us the power to save the world.” Destiny glared at the Weavile and stormed over to him pushing the Weavile down and putting her foot of his throat.

“Well why did she ask me to go bring you back home then? Huh? She knew something like this would happen and it came true.” Destiny increased the pressure on Everice’s throat.

“Before I could come find you I was tasked with going to the Sky Ruins to investigate the strange energy but I guess I didn’t have to worry about finding you since you showed up anyway. You ran out on Lily when she needed you the most and now she is gone.” Destiny lifted her foot the chu girl trying to not show it but a part of her wanted to cry.

“What?” Everice got up. “What happened to Lily?”

“I mean she asleep and won’t wake up. While you were off playing hero trying to make some stupid dream come true I had to watch my sister fall asleep and never wake up? Do you know how that feels Everice? Watching the one you care about suffer right before your eyes and you can’t do a thing? If you cared about Lily you wouldn’t had gone running away like a coward.” Destiny began walking towards the woods the Raichu wishing to be anywhere but here right now and that if Everice ever spoke to her again it would be to soon.

[Old Town]
Situated right before the path leading to the Ruins of Arceus is Old Town, once a major trading market the town attracted adventures from all over the region seeking adventure, fortune and a chance to become discover possibly the creator himself all passed though Old Town. Now no more than a rest stop for the weary traveler or a place to lay low.

It was evening by the time the group reached the other side of the small woods with some luck they managed to not even run into any locals and were able to cross with little trouble. As like before no one spoke that much making the trip feel longer than it really had been as for some reason there seemed to be some sort of tension flowing between the group that no one was able to cut though. Leaving the woods the group entered into a small village called Old Town because of the town being used as a resting point for pokes that were here to explore some of various ruins that were in the area. Destiny didn't like the feeling that was in the area as they walked into town and the usual hustle and bustle that was found during any time of day seemed to not be there and everyone seemed to be on the edge.

“Watch yourselves something doesn’t feel right.” The chu said looking around slowly. They were getting pokes eyeing them thanks to their new accessories they were sporting.

“Come on get over it Dest.” Everice said with a chuckle.

“Your paranoid you know that.” Destiny hated how Everice was acting like their little conversation in the meadow never happened but then again he never seemed to take anything in life that seriously ever.

“Shut up and use your brain. Something doesn’t feel right here and we need to be on guard. I have a funny feeling that our new looks is not going to make us very popular.”

“Sure, sure.” Everice blowing off the chu all together.

“Look I say we go quench our thirst at the local watering hole and find a place to relax for the night.”
Destiny looked up in the sky to see that it was nearly dark now and for once despite how much she hated to admit it the Weavile was right. “Alright but no causing any trouble.”

“Um Destiny…” Chip finally spoke up though looked very worried for some reason. “I’m not really hungry, could I maybe walk around for a while? I promise I will not leave town or talk to anyone I just do not want to sit around in on spot at the moment.”

“I don’t know.”

“Don’t worry I’ll be with him.” Rose gave the Eevee a light hip bump. “We’ll be back in thirty minutes promise.” Without even getting the ok she pushed Chip along leaving the older pokes to wonder if they should let them go like this.

[Outside Old Town near the woods]

Chip and Rose found themselves walking at the edge of town the flower girl wanting to get away from it all. Chip walked right behind her though far enough to get a view of her rear despite him not trying to look at it. Rose bounced her rear in just the right way to make the Eevee gulp as he was trying to not get too worked up but at the same time he couldn’t walk beside her because she told him she wanted him to watch her rear…though he didn’t think literally.

“Where are we going?” Chip asked trying to look away from her at the moment.

“Oh no where really I just wanted to enjoy the evening air.” Rose replied in a dreamy voice. “It reminds me of home and the wonderful nightly walks I would take with my best friend.” Chip noticed that the Shaymin seemed to be in her own world when she said that as if taking herself back to a happier moment in her life which made him wonder if it involved her friend literally walking in nose distance of her rear and all the scents that went along with it.

“Did you two always walk like this?” Chip asked taking in her scent and gulps again.

“Oh yes we did. My friend would always walk just like we are now so close that I could feel her warmth and she could feel mine just as we are doing now.” Rose stop and Chip walked right into her his nose pressed up against her before falling onto his face as he lost his balance. “Oh are you ok?”

“Always this friendly?”

“What do you mean? I thought you were saying hello? That is what your kind do right?” Rose asked

“Ya…that is how we say hello.” Chip said getting up. “Want to see how we say good-bye? Hint it involves our tongues.” Chip decided to be sarcastic which he found Rose didn’t understand and seemed interested in finding out. Chip found himself wondering to do now, give her a lick or look stupid. Though he got his answer from her quickie enough.

“What are you gay?” Rose asked him still turned around.

“Hurry up and give me a lick so we can get this going already!”

“What?!” Chip asked caught off-guard. “You mean you-“

“Want you to lick me, possibly lead to you eating me out then I turn around and blow your mind away before helping to get your warmed back up again and then mount me like I’m your bitch.” Rose said all in one breath. “Why else would I go though the trouble of getting us all the way out here and literally opening myself up to.” She groaned turning around to face him though puts a smile on her face. “You can tell me I won’t tell anyone else.”
“What?” Chip asked feeling like the spot light was on him.

“Tell ya what?”

Rose just sighed. “Forget it come on “Happy” lets get back before they start to miss us.” With that she starts walking with a dumb founded Eevee following her with one confusing thought on his mind.

“Happy?”
