The promise
The days had passed without any sign of Nyrox waking. Vara had been doing her best to try to look after him. So far he hadn't gotten any worse, but he still seemed no where near waking up.
Vara sighs as she speaks to his sleeping form. "Come-on Ny. You have to wake up sometime. Can't have you sleeping forever."
She knew he couldn't hear her, but anything is wroth a try.

Nyrox groaned as he stirred from his slumber. His eyes flickered open slowly. He looked around. He had no idea where he was.
He heard foot steps nearby and turned his head to see who it was.
"Nyrox! You're finally awake!" Cried Vara happily as she ran over to him.
Nyrox smiled. "How long have I been asleep then?" He asked.
"About three days." Vara replied holding his face to check his scar.
"Where's my mum?"
Vara's smile faded from her face.
Nyrox saw this and knew something was wrong.
"What?" He asked anxiously.
"Ny..." Vara said unsure of how to break it to the young Vulpix. "She's... she's..."
Nyrox feared the worse. "Dead?"
Vara nodded.
Nyrox's world shattered. Dead? His mum was dead?
"Me and some friends buried her nearby." Said Vara attempting to brake the tension.
Nyrox looked up at her.
"Where?" he asked.

Vara led Nyrox to a secluded area between the trees near his den. There was a freshly dug mound of earth and a stone there. Etched on the stone were the words: "Here lies Seena. Mother of Nyrox, mate of Sanzil."
Nyrox had not spoken since he left Vara's home. He was speechless still.
"Would you like me to leave you alone?" Vara asked.
Nyrox nodded.
Grief caught up with him when Vara left. He fell to the ground and began crying uncontrollably.
Through his tears he read the etched words again. "Here lies Seena. Mother of Nyrox, mate of Sanzil."
His fathers name didn't deserve to be there. He was no father no him and no mate to his mother. He didn't show any positive feelings towards his mother or him.
Nyrox quickly snapped out of sorrow and into anger. He killed her and tried to kill him too.
"I can't let that bastard get away with this." Nyrox growled angrily. "I'll make him pay for what he did. I promise."
