The Rampaging Vulpix
Nyrox was still sniffing the ground to try and pick up any scent of his father. Vara had found a big stick. She didn't want to do this but she knew that this would mess up Nyrox's life.
She brought it past her head, closed her eyes and swung downwards.
Oblivious to Vara, Nyrox continued to scent the ground. Then, he found it. The putrid smell of his father, it led off to the...
'Watch out!' His instincts called out.
Nyrox rolled away quickly just as Vara's stick hit the ground, with a loud cracking sound as the stick cracked, where he was standing a mere second ago.
Vara opened her eyes, Nyrox stared into them.
"What are you doing?" He asked her.
Vara didn't know what to say.
"You don't know what I've been through." Said Nyrox still staring at her. "You can't even begin to realise how much this is killing me. The murderer of my mother is out there still breathing, how can I forget about that?"
"You can't do this Nyrox!" Shouted Vara. "Don't you realise..."
"I couldn't care less about what happens to me!" Nyrox shouted back at her. "As long as my father lies dead at my paws I don't care."
Vara raised the stick high again. "I'm sorry Nyrox." She whispered.
Nyrox growled, just like on the night his father hit his mother, this thing standing in front of him wasn't a friend. It was now an enemy.
He jumped at her, Vara swung the stick. The backside of Nyrox's left paw swung out and cracked the stick in two. It had been an old stick, and had been there for days.
Nyrox collided into Vara and knocked her to the floor. Vara saw his eyes; they had reddish mist in them. This isn't the Vulpix she knew.
Claws drawn, Nyrox brought his paw down on her.
Vara punched Nyrox's face and knocked him off. Vara wasn't a fighter, she didn't like to fight. But the punch was still enough to knock Nyrox off her, who rolled over and got back into his battle stance, snarling at her.
Vara got up on her feet, and tried to find something.
"You don't think I can do this do you?" He said snarling at her.
"Nyrox," she said in an angry tone at him, whilst still trying to find something. "That's not the point. This is going to..."
"Didn't you hear me before?" Nyrox growled. "I don't care! I'm going to kill my father whether you like it or not."
"Ny..." she said and attempted to walk to him.
Nyrox lowered his front end and raised his rear end, his tails swaying from side to side, bearing his fangs, showing he was ready to fight again.
"Stay back!" He warned her.
"N..."
"I said stay back!" He shouted.
He found his fire. He threw his head back and opened his mouth. Fire shot from his mouth and the floor in front of him, creating a wall of fire between them.
Vara jumped back. Ever since he was a kit Nyrox had always had problems breathing fire.
Nyrox turned to the north, where he was sure his father was, and ran off.
"Nyrox!" Shouted Vara.
Nyrox heard and ignored her. Killing his father was all that mattered now.
Vara watched him run out of sight.
She looked away and walked off crying. Nyrox was lost now. Vengeance really was all he had left.

Nyrox ran through the forest so fast that everything was a blur; he crashed into low branches, jumping over the roots popping up from the ground.
"Your close father," he said to himself. "I know you're near."
Nyrox continued to crash through the foliage, leaving fiery paw prints where he ran.

Countless days passed by. With Nyrox unable to sleep he was unaware of night and day. All he was aware of was the fact that his father was close, and that his revenge and promise to his mother would be kept.
Other pokemon jumped out of his way in fear, as he smashed his way through the forest. Not having seen another Vulpix, Nyrox hadn't noticed his size. Had he seen another Vulpix he would have realised he is bigger, almost half the size of a normal Vulpix bigger.
Seeing a abnormally sized Vulpix like that was frightening to pretty much everyone.
Those that didn't get out of his way quickly enough were beaten away or trampled, by the rampaging Vulpix.
