Oh, hello there again. In case you're wondering, I'm feeling much better now. *Cough* Still a little sick, I guess, but it's nothing. Now then, back to the story...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I woke the next morning and saw that Jenny was still asleep. I yawned and stretched out, finally standing up. Seeing that the door was closed, I couldn't leave the room. I walked over to the desk, which was near a window. I jumped up onto the chair next to it, then onto the desk itself. I found the desk to be a bit slippery beneath me. Carefully, I padded as close to the window as I could and prepared to hop onto the sill. I jumped, but my hind paws slipped out from beneath me. I fell off the desk and landed rather painfully into a small metal bin next to it. I was trapped inside of it.
I quickly checked myself for injuries, and upon finding none, I began to think of a way out. Jenny was asleep, so I couldn't call to her to help me. I figured if I could shift my weight enough, I could knock the bin over from inside of it. I tried to shift my weight to my left, and the bin tipped slightly. I tried again, but with more force, and the bin tipped a bit more. As it fell to center itself, I quickly shifted to the right, but was stopped. I didn't understand what happened. I tried once again, and once again I was stopped by something. The bin must have been against the wall. There was no easy way out of it. I panicked, not knowing how long I could be stuck in there.
An hour passed before Jenny woke up. I have no idea what she did after she woke, but after a moment she realized I was gone.
"Gamma? Where are you?" she called.
"EEVEE!!" I yelled, hoping she would hear.
"HELP!!"
"Where are you?" she repeated. I could hear footsteps, and knew she was looking for me after hearing my voice. I shifted in the bin to give her a visual clue as to where I was. I saw her face come into view through the opening at the top of the bin.
"How'd you get in there?" she asked, almost laughing at me. She reached in, grabbing my front legs, and hauled me out. She carefully placed me on the desk. "Are you alright?"
I nodded to her, letting her know I was fine. I was a bit shaken up, though, after being trapped in that trash bin. She gently stroked my fur.
"How did you get in there Gamma?" she repeated. I turned and nodded towards the window sill. "You were trying to get over there?" I returned my gaze to her and nodded once again.
"Well, since you're up, you want some breakfast?" she asked me. I wasn't all that hungry, so I turned down her offer. "You sure? Well, alright, if that's what you want. If you get hungry, let me know."
She walked over to her dresser and opened it, pulling out a pair of pants which she put on. She removed her shirt and tossed it on the bed, replacing it with a new one from the dresser. She picked up the shirt she had been wearing and tossed it into the plastic bin by the door. She opened the door and walked out.
I looked down off the side of the desk, seeing how far it would be to drop down. It looked pretty far considering my size, so I very carefully walked across the slippery surface to get to the chair. I placed my hind paws right up against my forepaws to make sure I wouldn't slip off the same way I had earlier, and hopped down onto the chair, and then dropped onto the floor from there. I walked over to the open door. I saw Tom walking down the hallway towards his room. I made to walk out of the room, but when I got to the door, Tom slammed it in my face. I heard him mumble something as he walked away, but I couldn't make it out.
Seeing that I was stuck inside the room, I walked over to Jenny's bed and tried to jump onto it. I managed to get most of the way up, but I couldn't quite reach the top. Instinctively, I dug my tiny claws into the blanket. Lucky for me, I was rather light and didn't damage it as I hung there. I slowly climbed up onto the top of the bed, and upon reaching it, curled up on her pillow and waited for her to return.
Jenny returned a short while later. She opened the door and was surprised to see me lying on the bed. She turned around and called out to Tom, and she wasn't happy.
"TOM!!! WHY DID YOU LOCK GAMMA IN MY ROOM!?" she hollered at him.
"I DIDN'T LOCK HIM IN THERE!" Tom yelled back.
"YOU MIGHT AS WELL HAVE, HE CAN'T OPEN THE DOOR!"
"I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW HE WAS IN THERE, JENNY!"
Their battle carried on for minutes, and I just got tired of listening to their loud, angry voices. I slipped out of the room past Jenny and into the living room, but being there wasn't helping my ears with the incredible amount of sound. I noticed that the window behind the couch was wide open. Desperate to escape the two combatants, I jumped onto the couch, up onto the top, and hopped out the window.
Being outside alone was a bit overwhelming, but I wanted to get away from them while they were fighting, so I looked around the outside of the house a bit. It looked like Jenny and Tom kept a small garden in the yard, as there was a small grouping of flowers and small plants near the back door in the kitchen. There was also a white fence around the edges of the yard which marked where their property ended. Aside from the garden, however, the yard was quite barren. Since I was outside, I figured it wouldn't hurt to explore the town. I walked around to the front of the house.
I stopped when I came to a very wide, concrete path. It had yellow and white markings on it. I thought nothing of it and made to cross it to get into town. Before I even got my paw down onto it, I could hear a loud rushing noise coming from my left. A large metal object was hurtling down the path, and I quickly hopped back away from it. The object zipped past at a remarkable speed. I watched it as it continued along its path. After it left my sight, I looked back to the left to see if another one was coming, which there wasn't. I placed my paw onto the concrete, feeling the rough surface on the pad. I crossed it and hopped up the ledge at the other side.
I continued towards the town in my attempt to explore it. I followed a much thinner concrete pathway that led into Elysia. When I got past the residential areas and into the heart of the town itself, I was amazed at what I saw. Humans everywhere, those strange metal objects in the wide paths, and buildings as far as the eye could see, all of them filled with interesting things. I wandered around the town, taking in the sights. I heard light footsteps behind me and spun around. Standing before me was a young human boy. He seemed very intrigued by me, he stared at me with a curious gaze.
"Eevee!" he said playfully, moving closer. Instinctively, I backed away a step, but realizing this child couldn't possibly be a threat, I stopped myself. He reached down and began to rub the top of my head rather roughly, mussing up the fur that was between my ears. His mother appeared behind him and grabbed him.
"Leave it alone. You don't know where that thing's been" she scolded her child as she walked away, carrying the now crying youngster.
I sat in the middle of the pathway, trying to fix the fur on my head, when another human approached me. This one, a full grown man wearing a blue uniform with a gold colored badge on it.
"Well, what have we here?" he said. He reached down and picked me up. "Hmm...no tags, must either be a stray or a trainer's lost Pokemon."
He carried me off in the direction of the Pokemon Center. Upon arrival, he placed me onto the desk and waited for Nurse Joy. I looked up at him curiously, wondering why he brought me here. I didn't have to wait long for an answer, because Joy came into the lobby shortly after our arrival.
"Oh, hello Officer, is there anything I can do for you?" she asked, seeing the man behind me.
"Actually, yes there is. I found this little guy wandering the streets, thought I should bring him here because he might be a trainer's" the man answered.
"Gamma?" she asked. I nodded to her. "What are you doing out here? Shouldn't you be with Jenny?"
"You know him?" the man asked.
"Yes, he was a patient of mine about a week ago. He was taken in by Jenny Labyr."(Pronounced: LAYbur)
"Labyr, eh? Well then, I'll be sure to get him over there right away. Do you have the address?"
"Yes, I do, just give me a moment." She pulled out a piece of paper and a pen and scribbled something onto it and handed the paper to the man.
"Thank you very much, Nurse Joy" the man said, picking me up once again and turning to leave.
He carried me down the 'street' as he called it before. He looked down at the paper, then put it in his pocket. After a short time, he had brought me back to Jenny's home. Using his free hand, he knocked on the door. Jenny frantically opened it.
"Hello, Officer. Gamma! You found him, thank you so much" Jenny exclaimed when she saw me. The man handed me over to her. "Where was he?"
"I found him wandering around town. You should get him registered in case he ever gets out again" he answered. He turned and walked away. Jenny closed the door as he left.
"Gamma, where have you been?" she asked worriedly. "I was so worried about you, and I looked all over the house. How did you get out?"
I pointed a paw at the open window. Jenny turned to look at it.
"Oh, that's how. Listen, I don't want you to go wandering around town again without at least letting me know you're leaving, but I want you to stay here for a little while longer till I'm sure you've recovered completely, alright?" I nodded to her, willing to abide by her rule. She was only doing it for my own good.
"I see the furball's back" I heard from the hallway. I turned to see Tom standing there, staring at me. "Told you he'd be back."
"Well you weren't exactly helpful in finding him, the police had to bring him back."
"Well maybe if you kept that window shut, he wouldn't have gotten out."
"Gotten out!?" Jenny shouted at him. "Is that what you think of him? A beast that should be locked away?"
I could sense another fight coming and jumped out of Jenny's grasp. I ran off into her bedroom, not wanting to be in the way of the battle that would be beginning. I crawled under her bed and laid down, hiding from them. After my little adventure, I was feeling a bit tired and decided to take a nap until the battle ended.
I woke up a while later. I stood and stretched out, then crawled out from under the bed.
"Hey there, Gamma" I heard from behind me. I turned and saw Jenny sitting on the bed, reading a book. I sprang up onto the bed next to her.
"Looks like you regained your strength." She began to gently stroke my fur.
"About what that police officer said, I should get you registered so you don't get into trouble if you go outside. I still don't want you to go out until I'm sure you've recovered."
I felt a rumble in my gut. I hadn't eaten at all that day, and I was getting pretty hungry. I nudged Jenny's arm and she looked back down at me from her book.
"What is it, Gamma?" she asked. I rubbed one of my front paws on by belly. "Hungry? Alright, come with me."
She stood up and walked out of the room. I jumped off the bed and followed her into the kitchen. I watched her as she prepared my food. She placed the two bowls on the floor in front of me.
"There you go" she said and walked back off to her room.
I examined the food she had given me. Some sliced apples and a couple of berries. I happily wolfed down the fruit and had a drink of water from the other bowl.
I walked into the living room and leapt onto the couch. Tom was sitting in his chair, watching the TV once again. I could hear people chanting the name "Jerry" from it. I turned to watch, and as I did, a huge fight broke out on screen. I saw several people tackling each other as a few in black clothing were trying to pry them apart. The chant continued the entire time this battle took place. It seemed odd that people beating each other up could be considered entertainment, but perhaps this was what humans enjoyed.
The group of people were still struggling to attack one another and screaming. I couldn't watch this any longer, it was just too barbaric. I stood up and hopped off the couch and returned to Jenny's room. Her door was closed most of the way, but it was still slightly ajar. I wedged my head into the space and pushed the door open enough to enter.
"What do you want, Tom?" Jenny asked turning away from her book. "Oh, Gamma. I'm sorry, I thought it was Tom coming to bother me about you again. I don't know what's gotten into him lately, he's usually so mellow."
Well, from what I could tell, he didn't seem like too mellow a person. He seemed to jump into a fight with Jenny at the drop of a hat.
"Oh well, forget that. How was your lunch?"
"Vee" I replied, smiling to her.
"Good"
"That's good. I have a favor to ask of you. Could you draw that symbol you drew for me when we met. You know, the gamma that you made?" she asked, placing a piece of paper in front of me. I stared at it, not understanding why she would want it, but I obliged and sketched out another gamma with my claw onto it.
"Thanks, Gamma" she said happily. She picked up the paper and folded it and placed it into her pocket.
She closed her book and stood up, walking out the now open door. I followed her curiously as she walked to the front door. She opened it and left, closing the door behind her. Confused, I returned to the couch. Whatever Tom was watching before was still on, and it was no less violent. Tom had even joined in on the chanting as the people on screen pounded on one another. Being able to walk again, I decided to explore the house a bit.
There wasn't much of Jenny's room I hadn't already seen, so I began my journey in the kitchen. I padded into the room and onto the tile floor. It felt cold under my paws, but it was a pleasant feeling. I looked around, noting there was a small metal grate on the floor. I looked into it, but all I could see was darkness. Thinking nothing of it, I moved on to a different room.
I entered the next room through an open door in the kitchen. There were two very large machines (in comparison to me) within it, as well as a plastic bin, much like the one in Jenny's room, except this one was blue instead of white. I looked into the gap between the machines and saw a large amount of dust and lint. Knowing that going in there would be a mistake, I turned away and focused my attention on the machines themselves. Both were white and metallic, one with a circular window in the front. I could see some clothes within it. The other appeared to be a solid metal block from my point of view. I wanted to see more of these mysterious objects and attempted to jump onto one to get a better look. Unfortunately, even though my strength had returned, I didn't have the power to reach the top, or even get my front paws onto it. I collided with the side of the machine, knocking my head into it. I fell to the floor in pain. I held my head with my front paws, trying in vain to dull the agony. I groaned, still trying to deaden the pain. Tom entered the room.
"What's going on in here?" he asked fiercely. He looked down and saw me lying in a heap on the tile floor. "What did you do?"
I looked helplessly up at him, wanting him to at least help me to my paws. He glared down at me before speaking again.
"I'm not going to help you, you won't learn that way" he said, turning and leaving the room.
I laid on the floor, curled up and groaning from the pain. Tom would be no help at all to me, and Jenny was gone for an indefinite amount of time. Trying to ignore the stabbing pains in my head, I slowly rose to my paws. I shook my head, trying to regain my bearings, and staggered out of the room.
I walked across the living room into the hallway past Tom, who was once again sitting in that chair. There were three rooms at the end of the hallway. I knew one of these to be Jenny's room, and there was no reason to go in there. I assumed the closed door next to it led to Tom's room. The one across from that door, however, I had never seen. The door was open, so I walked into it.
It was very dark in here, considering there was no window in this room. I could feel the cool feeling beneath my paws again and assumed I was standing on another tile floor. I tried to look around the room, but it was too dark to see very far. I walked up to the large shape I could see, and it resembled the cabinets I'd seen in the kitchen. I continued along when I suddenly felt carpet between my toes. I looked down and saw that I was indeed standing on something similar to the carpet from the living room. I turned my head to take a closer look at the objects around me. There was a large bowl-like object next to me. In front of me was a large object. It was low, however, so I decided to jump onto it to get a better look. I sprang up, expecting to land on something hard at the height I prepared for, but there was nothing, I fell almost the same distance I jumped upward. I landed on a hard, rough surface. I noticed it was also much like a bowl. I climbed onto the side of this thing. I tried to see what was on top of the counter, but I was too far away and it was too dark to tell. I looked to the other object that was near me. I noticed that it contained a small amount of water within it. I wasn't going to risk ending up inside of that thing, so I decided to just call it quits on this room. I dropped down onto the floor and walked out through the open door.
I looked once more at Tom's door. I wanted to take a look inside, but I had no way in, and Tom didn't seem to like me, so I don't think he'd appreciate me being in there anyway. I walked into Jenny's room and jumped up onto her bed, waiting for her to return. I wouldn't have to wait very long, as she returned home after a short time.
She walked into the room. She was carrying a small box under her arm. She set the box on her desk and walked over to the bed. She scratched behind my right ear as she sat down. I closed my eyes and tilted my head to give her better access to the spot. She continued scratching my head for a little while longer before she stopped.
"Gamma, I have something for you" she said. She stood up and retrieved the box she'd lain on the desk. She brought it over to me and opened it. I peered inside and saw a green strip of fabric with a latch on it. I stared at it for a moment before she pulled it out. She wrapped it around my neck and fastened the latch below my chin.
"Is that too tight?" she asked me. I shook my head. I was a bit confused about what this thing was and what it was for. "That looks very nice on you, Gamma."
I stared blankly at her as she stepped back and looked at me.
"What is it, Gamma? Do you not like it?" she asked. I continued to stare at her. "Confused?"
I nodded to her last question. She smiled and sat back down.
"It's a collar, Gamma. When I get your registration and tag in the mail, I have to attach it to that so you have them with you at all times. If you're not comfortable wearing it, then I'll take it off." I shook my head to her last comment. I didn't mind wearing it at all. It felt pretty good around my neck. "I got a green one to match your eyes" she added.
I looked out the window in the room and noticed it was late in the evening. I yawned, getting a bit sleepy when my head started to hurt again. I rubbed my head with my paw to try to ease the pain, but it was no use.
"Gamma, what's wrong? Are you okay?" Jenny asked worriedly. She grabbed my paw and moved it out of the way and she examined the spot. "What happened to your head?"
She picked me up gently and carried me out to the living room.
"Tom, what happened to Gamma?" she asked him.
"I think he hit his head on the dryer, Jen" he replied.
"Hit his head on the dryer, how?"
"I don't know, I heard a bang in the laundry room and went to see what happened and I saw him lying in front of the dryer holding his head. What's that around his neck? Did you get him a collar?"
"Yeah, I did. I found a nice green one to match his eyes."
"So I assume you got him registered then?"
"Of course. The clerk said the tag should arrive in the mail in at most a week."
Tom grunted in response to this. I started to drift off to sleep in Jenny's arms. I tried to fight it as best I could, but before she even made it back to her room I had given in.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, I had finished recovering from my past injuries, and Jenny got me my collar. I still have that one, although I don't wear it anymore. I guess I'll tell you more of my story later, but for now I have a few things I have to do and then I'm going to sleep. Goodbye for now.

I turned to watch, and as I did, a huge fight broke out on screen. I saw several people tackling each other as a few in black clothing were trying to pry them apart. The chant continued the entire time this battle took place. It seemed odd that people beating each other up could be considered entertainment, but perhaps this was what humans enjoyed.
The group of people were still struggling to attack one another and screaming. I couldn't watch this any longer, it was just too barbaric. I stood up and hopped off the couch and returned to Jenny's room. Her door was closed most of the way, but it was still slightly ajar. I wedged my head into the space and pushed the door open enough to enter.
"What do you want, Tom?" Jenny asked turning away from her book. "Oh, Gamma. I'm sorry, I thought it was Tom coming to bother me about you again. I don't know what's gotten into him lately, he's usually so mellow."
Well, from what I could tell, he didn't seem like too mellow a person. He seemed to jump into a fight with Jenny at the drop of a hat.
"Oh well, forget that. How was your lunch?"
"Vee" I replied, smiling to her.
"Good"
"That's good. I have a favor to ask of you. Could you draw that symbol you drew for me when we met. You know, the gamma that you made?" she asked, placing a piece of paper in front of me. I stared at it, not understanding why she would want it, but I obliged and sketched out another gamma with my claw onto it.
"Thanks, Gamma" she said happily. She picked up the paper and folded it and placed it into her pocket.
She closed her book and stood up, walking out the now open door. I followed her curiously as she walked to the front door. She opened it and left, closing the door behind her. Confused, I returned to the couch. Whatever Tom was watching before was still on, and it was no less violent. Tom had even joined in on the chanting as the people on screen pounded on one another. Being able to walk again, I decided to explore the house a bit.
There wasn't much of Jenny's room I hadn't already seen, so I began my journey in the kitchen. I padded into the room and onto the tile floor. It felt cold under my paws, but it was a pleasant feeling. I looked around, noting there was a small metal grate on the floor. I looked into it, but all I could see was darkness. Thinking nothing of it, I moved on to a different room.
I entered the next room through an open door in the kitchen. There were two very large machines (in comparison to me) within it, as well as a plastic bin, much like the one in Jenny's room, except this one was blue instead of white. I looked into the gap between the machines and saw a large amount of dust and lint. Knowing that going in there would be a mistake, I turned away and focused my attention on the machines themselves. Both were white and metallic, one with a circular window in the front. I could see some clothes within it. The other appeared to be a solid metal block from my point of view. I wanted to see more of these mysterious objects and attempted to jump onto one to get a better look. Unfortunately, even though my strength had returned, I didn't have the power to reach the top, or even get my front paws onto it. I collided with the side of the machine, knocking my head into it. I fell to the floor in pain. I held my head with my front paws, trying in vain to dull the agony. I groaned, still trying to deaden the pain. Tom entered the room.
"What's going on in here?" he asked fiercely. He looked down and saw me lying in a heap on the tile floor. "What did you do?"
I looked helplessly up at him, wanting him to at least help me to my paws. He glared down at me before speaking again.
"I'm not going to help you, you won't learn that way" he said, turning and leaving the room.
I laid on the floor, curled up and groaning from the pain. Tom would be no help at all to me, and Jenny was gone for an indefinite amount of time. Trying to ignore the stabbing pains in my head, I slowly rose to my paws. I shook my head, trying to regain my bearings, and staggered out of the room.
I walked across the living room into the hallway past Tom, who was once again sitting in that chair. There were three rooms at the end of the hallway. I knew one of these to be Jenny's room, and there was no reason to go in there. I assumed the closed door next to it led to Tom's room. The one across from that door, however, I had never seen. The door was open, so I walked into it.
It was very dark in here, considering there was no window in this room. I could feel the cool feeling beneath my paws again and assumed I was standing on another tile floor. I tried to look around the room, but it was too dark to see very far. I walked up to the large shape I could see, and it resembled the cabinets I'd seen in the kitchen. I continued along when I suddenly felt carpet between my toes. I looked down and saw that I was indeed standing on something similar to the carpet from the living room. I turned my head to take a closer look at the objects around me. There was a large bowl-like object next to me. In front of me was a large object. It was low, however, so I decided to jump onto it to get a better look. I sprang up, expecting to land on something hard at the height I prepared for, but there was nothing, I fell almost the same distance I jumped upward. I landed on a hard, rough surface. I noticed it was also much like a bowl. I climbed onto the side of this thing. I tried to see what was on top of the counter, but I was too far away and it was too dark to tell. I looked to the other object that was near me. I noticed that it contained a small amount of water within it. I wasn't going to risk ending up inside of that thing, so I decided to just call it quits on this room. I dropped down onto the floor and walked out through the open door.
I looked once more at Tom's door. I wanted to take a look inside, but I had no way in, and Tom didn't seem to like me, so I don't think he'd appreciate me being in there anyway. I walked into Jenny's room and jumped up onto her bed, waiting for her to return. I wouldn't have to wait very long, as she returned home after a short time.
She walked into the room. She was carrying a small box under her arm. She set the box on her desk and walked over to the bed. She scratched behind my right ear as she sat down. I closed my eyes and tilted my head to give her better access to the spot. She continued scratching my head for a little while longer before she stopped.
"Gamma, I have something for you" she said. She stood up and retrieved the box she'd lain on the desk. She brought it over to me and opened it. I peered inside and saw a green strip of fabric with a latch on it. I stared at it for a moment before she pulled it out. She wrapped it around my neck and fastened the latch below my chin.
"Is that too tight?" she asked me. I shook my head. I was a bit confused about what this thing was and what it was for. "That looks very nice on you, Gamma."
I stared blankly at her as she stepped back and looked at me.
"What is it, Gamma? Do you not like it?" she asked. I continued to stare at her. "Confused?"
I nodded to her last question. She smiled and sat back down.
"It's a collar, Gamma. When I get your registration and tag in the mail, I have to attach it to that so you have them with you at all times. If you're not comfortable wearing it, then I'll take it off." I shook my head to her last comment. I didn't mind wearing it at all. It felt pretty good around my neck. "I got a green one to match your eyes" she added.
I looked out the window in the room and noticed it was late in the evening. I yawned, getting a bit sleepy when my head started to hurt again. I rubbed my head with my paw to try to ease the pain, but it was no use.
"Gamma, what's wrong? Are you okay?" Jenny asked worriedly. She grabbed my paw and moved it out of the way and she examined the spot. "What happened to your head?"
She picked me up gently and carried me out to the living room.
"Tom, what happened to Gamma?" she asked him.
"I think he hit his head on the dryer, Jen" he replied.
"Hit his head on the dryer, how?"
"I don't know, I heard a bang in the laundry room and went to see what happened and I saw him lying in front of the dryer holding his head. What's that around his neck? Did you get him a collar?"
"Yeah, I did. I found a nice green one to match his eyes."
"So I assume you got him registered then?"
"Of course. The clerk said the tag should arrive in the mail in at most a week."
Tom grunted in response to this. I started to drift off to sleep in Jenny's arms. I tried to fight it as best I could, but before she even made it back to her room I had given in.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, I had finished recovering from my past injuries, and Jenny got me my collar. I still have that one, although I don't wear it anymore. I guess I'll tell you more of my story later, but for now I have a few things I have to do and then I'm going to sleep. Goodbye for now.
