A new love, A new problem
Ash woke up and looked at the face of his new girlfriend. Dragonair was curled up around him with her head resting on his shoulder. He then began to think how he would explain Dragonair to his friends. "Oh man, how am I going to explain you being here to the others?" Ash said. Dragonair woke up at that moment and Ash looked at her beautiful black eyes as she looked around while still a bit sleepy. "Even when she is sleepy, she still looks cute." Ash muttered. Dragonair turned and saw the boy she loved. Now knowing that her dream had really come true, she let out a soft cry. Ash got up and looked at Dragonair. "There's a problem. I can't really tell my friends about us Dragonair. But I can say that I own you or that I caught you. I don't know how to get by this problem." Ash said as he thought on what to do. Dragonair turned and went to the window and slid out the window and grabbed her Poke Ball, which she had stashed nearby, and went back in. She dropped her Poke Ball in Ash's hands. "But this is the Poke Ball Clair caught you in. You really want to come with me?" Ash asked. Dragonair nodded her head. "Ok, but we'll have to keep our location secret as Clair might think I stole you. But I am sure you took care of everything before coming to find me." Ash said. Dragonair nodded with a confident smile. "Well I only hope so. I'd hate to think what Clair would do to me." Ash said with a nervous expression.
Ash let out a sigh before he got up and walked to the door with Dragonair on the ground next to him. He opened the door and walked out, ready to face the question. He whispered to Dragonair, "Stay close to me." The serpent nodded her head as they met up with Ash's friends in the lobby. "Morning, Ash!" May said as she waved. "Wow, is that a Dragonair!?" Max shouted as he ran over to Dragonair. The serpent backed up a bit in fright. "Max, hold up. You're scaring her." Ash said. Max backed up, but still looked like he was very excited to see a real Dragonair before him. "How did you get a Dragonair? There are no Dragonair here in Hoenn, right?" Max asked as he calmed down a bit. "Well, I found Dragonair when I went out for a walk last night." Ash replied, hoping Max would believe the lie. "Wow, you found that Dragonair here? Talk about lucky!" Max shouted. "Well, near here." Ash corrected. "You've gotta show me where!" Max begged. "Um... Ok. I'll show you later then." Ash said. "Ok." Max said with excitement. Both Ash and Dragonair let out a sigh of relief when Max went back to his breakfast. Ash whispered to Dragonair "We need to find a place to show Max where I 'caught' you." Dragonair nodded. She began to think and then came up with an idea. She tapped Ash on the shoulder with her tail and nodded her head in the direction of the door. "You want to go find the place now?" Ash asked in a whisper. Dragonair nodded. "You guys. I'll be back soon." Ash said as he and Dragonair went out the door.
After walking for about ten minutes, Ash and Dragonair found a spot that might be good for a place to claim Ash found Dragonair there. But they heard a noise in a bush. Turning to look, they saw a pure white Poochyena trying to pull a berry off the bush. The Poochyena fell on its back after it failed and lost its grip. Ash picked the Poochyena up and then pulled the berry off the bush and gave it to the pup. The Poochyena looked up at Ash and then began to eat the berry. After finishing the berry, the Poochyena jumped up and began to lick Ash's face with its tail wagging. "Well I think I made a new friend don't you think Dragonair" Ash said. Dragonair nodded as they looked at the albino Poochyena. The Poochyena looked at the bush and opened its mouth and used Ice Beam to freeze the bush. Then the Poochyena launched a Shadow Ball at the frozen bush, causing it to shatter into a beautiful shower of frozen shards. "You seem good for Pokémon Contests. But why don't you come with me for a journey and I will give you more of those berries?" Ash asked. The Poochyena looked up at Ash with its tail wagging. "Ok then. Let's go back to our friends, Dragonair."
A while later, Ash, Dragonair, and the Poochyena which Ash had named Laika stood before Ash's companions at the hotel lobby. "You know, I never heard of a white Poochyena before." Max said as they watched the albino Poochyena running around while chasing Pikachu. "Hey guys, I just heard that an interview is about to come on. It's an interview of Clair" Brock said. Ash gulped, (Clair? Hopefully, she hasn't noticed.)
As the group gathered before a public television, the news channel soon showed an interviewer standing outside the Blackthorn City Gym. "Yes, I am now with Clair of the Blackthorn Gym. According to authorities, some sort of break-in at the Gym occurred some time recently. Clair, can you tell us what exactly happened?" The interviewer then reached out her microphone to the side as the camera panned to the right, revealing Clair as she constantly tried to shove away a Dragonair that kept trying to wrap itself around her. It also had a very amorous look in its eyes.
"Clair, you said something about something being stolen from you?" The Gym Leader grumbled, "Yes. I don't know when it happened, but someone abducted my Dragonair and replaced it with this one." The interviewer asked, "Really? But how did you know that this Dragonair is not the same one?" Clair replied, "I could tell because this one is male while mine is female." The interviewer then asked, "And how did you discover that? From a glance, I wouldn't know that this Dragonair is male. What gave it away?" Clair froze as her face turned a deep shade of red. She grumbled, "I would...;prefer not to explain... AH?!" Clair jumped as the Dragonair slid its tail up her skirt. "NOT AGAIN!!!" She then slapped the Dragonair in the face and returned it to its Poke Ball. The interviewer gulped, "I...see..." She then turned to the camera and spoke, "And there you have it. A reward has been offered for the return of Clair's Dragonair. Should anyone have any information regarding its whereabouts, please contact your local Pokémon Center." Ash paled in the face as Max, May and Brock began to talk about the interview.
The next day Max, May and Brock woke up to find out Ash was gone along with his stuff and Pokemon. They spent most of the day looking for Ash but couldn't find any trace of him. They had decided if they should stick together to try and find him as well as continue their journey. May was the most upset on the inside. She wanted to tell Ash of her love for him for a while now. But she was thinking that she may never get a chance again.
