Story Notes:

just read to find out what this story is all about. the first one I ever wrote, and it's hoding up quite good among the strangely great crowd.why is it that where I go, everyone suddenly begins to get really good? and I get really bad?

Nine: Rise of the Fifth world

Something had been Bugging Darkrai ever since his mission had started. Why had he been sent on an assassination first, only to have the mission change to retrieval? Why had he not been informed about Edgar's true powers? And why would Arceus even give the orders to destroy someone in the first place? The Arceus Darkrai knew would never give such an order. To top it all off, he had been instructed to dispose of Silth and Giratina when the time came... Was this entire mess happening before the shift, simply a coincidence? Something dark was happening to the council.

Darkrai knew well enough that things had changed ever since Arceus first returned. He seemed less powerful than before, and his attitude seemed somehow more cynical. Darkrai remembered the old Arceus well, and this being could not be him. But even if Darkrai believed this was not Arceus, there was nothing he could really do about it, speaking out against the council would mean certain death.

As Darkrai and Giratina both raced towards the so-called Rocket hideout, Darkrai could not help but wonder
"Just what the hell is really happening here? This makes no sense at all. Could it be that...?"
Something really bad went trough his head. He shuddered just thinking about it.

"HEHEHEHE! This is too easy! Nobody seems to suspect anything about my plans. Soon I will have the power I need to finally leave this wretched null. Soon my pawns will deliver to me a body with which I will show the universe what a god can really do... and nothing will stop me this time... nothing!"
Somewhere in reality, a being of unimaginable power plotted his goals. He would not be denied his price after so long a wait. Arceus knew well there where some who wished to interfere with his plans. But he had taken care of them long ago... Only a few remained breathing, but he had one of his best agents on the job. Soon, all traces of the heretics would be erased, and no one would oppose his plans any further. But it still felt as though something was horribly wrong... as though he had forgotten something...

**********************************************************

Giranita's head was filled with thoughts of dread and regret. No matter how she looked at it, things where quickly getting out of hand. Giratina knew all too well what was about to transpire, and she dreaded it's inevitable results. But the main reason why Giratina felt so horrible was because...

She knew the truth; yet she chooses to do nothing at all. She knew well who was the being controlling the council, she knew what his real plans where, she knew what he was really after, she knew why the council wanted Edgar dead... there where others, others not even Ho-Ho knew about. They lived in secrecy and shadows. Their sole purpose was to maintain the balance at all cost. Giratina was one of them, but being one meant following a strict code of silence and vigilance. She was not allowed to interfere until the right time came. But ever since she had started this mission she hadn't heard anything from the others. Was her mission already compromised?
"No! I must have faith that the others are still somewhere alive. But what if they failed? NO! It's all in my head; the mission will go without a hitch. It was to! Otherwise the whole balance will be destroyed and the world, no; the universe will suffer dearly for our failure...
But must I really kill him? YES! It has to be done! That is the only way to prevent him from gaining his price. But just who the hell does he think he is? His power is the same as Arceus, does that really mean... no! He is dead, destroyed Obliterated! It couldn't be him... could it?"
An uncertain Giratina kept a steady pace as she and Darkrai got nearer to their destination. Either way, she would know the truth for herself soon enough.

"REGGIGAS"
A voice sounded in his head. Regigas turned but saw no one, the voice sounded in his head a second time
"Have you gotten rid of what remained of that annoying splinter cell?"
Regigas brought up a rather old looking trainer; he was dressed in a ninja outfit. His pokemon lay dead in pools of blood. He was cursing and struggling to free himself from Regiga's Immense Grasp. The man spoke in a shaken, worn out voice
"You will not get away with this! We know who you really are! And you will never get the powers you so desire! NEVER!!!!"
The voice sounded inside Regiga's head once more
"That's the last one? Good. Please get rid of the trash will you?"
Regiga's eyes began to glow red as he encased the man in both of his gigantic hands. Suddenly, Regigas began to crush the man alive. A scream could be heard before the sickening sound of cracking bones and ripped flesh filled the air. The man's blood began to shoot in all directions, some of it even falling on Regiga's face. If the immense being had a mouth, he would have probably been smiling. The voice filled his head once more
"Jubilife city is your next target. Bring some of your army with you. Things could get messy, have the rest ready for the signal"
The massive figure spoke in an emotionless, robotic tone
"Yes master"
Regigas began to walk, every step he took left a huge print on the ground, as well shaking the surroundings. In the back of his head was a sword that had been planted on him during the battle with the ninja. It glowed faintly with two different jewels, one ruby red, and sapphire blue.

**********************************************************
Edgar had finally made his way into the deepest pits of the Rocket hideout. His trip had been accompanied by nothing but fight after fight with the locals, who by now where nothing but snarling mutant atrocities. Some looked like lizards straight out of a horror movie, others looked like floating balls with several tentacles much like a floating Octillery, others looked like hellish crabs or beetles, almost like some sick crossbred between a Heracross and some king of demonic roach, some even looked like giant apes, much like a slaking would look like, except if you took out the lazy factor.
No matter what their shape and size was, Edgar killed them all with extreme prejudice. It took a while since they too could regenerate themselves, but after several attacks they usually stayed down for good.
The more Edgar fought the beast, the weaker he became. His own healing abilities had stopped some time ago, even old wounds where beginning to reopen, not only that, but some were actually beginning to rot as if he was a walking corpse. The only way to regain strenght; eating, was all but useless since consumption of the meat was all but impossible. When the Imperfects died, they usually dissolved into the ground, leaving nothing behind, and those that did not disappear tasted terrible, worse than his father's cooking ever was. At the very least it kept him alive, at least enough to keep moving.

V1 imperfects where least of his worries. He still had to look forwards to the toughest fight of his rather short life. But as hard as that would be, he was determined to win it at any cost, even if it meant his life. He was prepared to pay that price if he had to. Silth would not get away with his crimes.

After about half an hour of wondering, Edgar couth wind of Silth's scent. Even his scent reeked of betrayal. He followed it, he finally deducted that it led to a one-way elevator shaft. It was empty at first, but even if the elevator had been there, it was way to dark to see anything. As he got closer, he could feel rumbling, more quakes shook the cavern. Finally, he got close enough to see clearly in the darkness, as he did, the elevator came up from it's unknown destination, winning and screeching like a banshee. He got in and pushed the button that had the red arrow pointing down. Suddenly, the thing roared to life as it quickly made its way down the dark void. The elevator began to pick up massive speed; Edgar could feel the wind buffet his face, his bloodied headband nearly flying of on many occasions.

After five minutes of travel, the elevator came to a stop. As the door swung open, Edgar was met with an incredible sight. A gigantic pillar made out of what seemed to be living metallic tissue stood before his awestruck gaze. It shot upwards towards the eternal darkness; it was like staring at a bottomless pit, in the ceiling. A few feet above the pillar's base line was a huge cluster of crystals that seemed to float, as if completely ignoring gravity. Edgar could only wander what the structure was really for as he walked in deeper to get a better look. His thoughts where cut short though when he heard a voice that he loathed more than anything at the moment. Silth walked into the room from the shadows and began speaking in an impressed tone, while at the same time, slowly clapping in a mocking manner
"Beautiful isn't it? I call it the pillar of eternity. With its energy, I can give life to anything I choose to. Took me a while to construct it. it's merely a copy, the original is hidden beyond even Arceus's reach, so I had to use a replacement. It's not as powerful, only about 40% of what the real deal can do, but it got the job done none the less"
Edgar turned around in anger, but was met by darkness; Silth's voice rang behind his back
"I was hoping you would come. Otherwise I would not have attacked you in the first place. So then... will you join my cause? Or will you still oppose me even thought it is futile?"
Edgar once again turned around, but this time came face to face with Silth, who at the moment had taken his human form. Edgar growled
"I will never join your and your twisted Ideals!!!"
Silth smiled, his evil grin infuriating Edgar even further
"Are you sure?"
Edgar took one step forward, his hand now turned into a fists, he began to shake in rage
"More than anything, in this world or any for that matter!"
Silth let out a loud laugh that rang and echoed all over the cavern, Edgar's rage was starting to build up to the point of exploding out of control
"HAHAHAHAHA! I knew you would say that. Well, at least I know I can trust you with this info. As it turns out, you and I are not so different, and not just because you're a clone of me, but rather that both of our sides are one and the same"
Edgar was not in a listening manner; he shot a punch at Silth's face, which made contact with massive force. Silth was sent flying backwards several feet before he hit the pillar. Silth's face was one of shock. He slowly got up from his fall. His tone was just as flustered
"What the hell?!"
Edgar began to snarl and growl in anger. His sentence was long, but one line was understandable
"Don't try to sweat talk your way out of this! YOU WILL DIE HERE!!!!"
Edgar dashed at Silth, who moved out of the way just in time to avoid Edgar's massive attack. Silth jumped back towards the wall when suddenly Edgar turned around and threw his earlier attack at him, which missed him by mere inches, instead impacting the wall and leaving a huge crater. Silth began to curse under his breath
"YOU IDIOT!! I'M ON YOUR DAMN SIDE!!!"
Edgar only kept sending punches, all of which Silth avoided with some difficulty "LIAR!! YOU LIE!!! LIE!!!! LIE!!!!!!"
Edgar only kept shouting at the top of his voice. Silth noticed that Edgar's attacks became more and more vicious by the second, his speed was also multiplying. Edgar was enraged, his eyes had turned blood red, and his hands where turning a deep shade of green, several blood veins could be clearly seen though the skin, they glowed red with boiling blood. Silth began to sweat.
"DIE!!! DIE!!! DIE!!!!"
Was the only Edgar shouted now.

Silth found himself with very little choice, he had to defend himself; otherwise he would be killed on the spot before he could carry out his plans. He summoned a blade made out of shadow energy and with incredible speed cleaved both of Edgar's arms off. Edgar yelled in pain as he took several steps backwards. Silth hoped that would buy him enough time to use the syringe from earlier on. It was a very powerful tranquilizer that would knock Edgar out cold. That is, if he could only manage to use it...
Edgar's arms grew back in mere seconds after they had been sliced off. Silth, this time took his Legs off. Edgar fell on the ground, but used his hands to regain his posture. His legs grew within seconds. Silth cursed in his head
"DAMN! This is not good at all! If only Sectran was here..."
Silth decided to try and cut Edgar's limbs off again, maybe if he did it enough he would weaken Edgar like Rapture had done. Just as his blade was ready to strike, it was met by something very sharp and very tough. Silth looked in disbelief at what had stopped his attack. Right out of Edgar's arm was a huge new appendage that resembled a Scyther's blade, but this one was wider, and it had several flaps that could be expanded into a shield like plate, it had the same red pulsating veins from Edgar's arm. Silth had not foreseen this, was his evolution this deep already? Silth needed to calm him down fast. If he died here and now...

Edgar smiled. Silth now understood, Edgar was no longer there, instead something primal had taken over... maybe his lack of energy had driven him into this state, maybe this state was just another side to Edgar, he did not know. He cursed his luck, if only those charizards had not gotten in his way... things would have gone so much smoother. It would appear he would have to do it the hard way. But even so, he could not risk using his full power...

The results could be disastrous.

**********************************************************

Ho-Ho was beginning to question her own actions up to this point. Things had changed so dramatically in the last few days that she wondered what was really going on now. Doing what Arceus asked them to do seemed wrong, but Ho-Ho could not simply contradict what her master wanted, that would be heresy! But she could not shake the feeling that something, somewhere had gone horribly wrong.
Everyone had started acting very strangely the day Arceus had shown up, all save her. All of a sudden, their actions had gone from simple regulations to sudden actions that involved espionage, sabotage, and even assassinations. The most recent being that of Edgar Sysoles, who Arceus kept saying was his evil son's vessel. But all the info that had been compiled did not support any of those claims at all. The council had dispatched two of their best to do the job. But so far, only sketchy info had been received, and the fact that the mission had been changed from assassination to capture did not bode well. Frankly, Ho-Ho questioned the very sincerity of Arceus's actions, but She could do nothing about it... her power had been stripped from her by Arceus.
Wanting the job done, he had dispatched his own agent, Regigas to get the job done. Ho-Ho had nothing against him, but she had always though of him as nothing but a war machine, he was more mechanical than flesh and bones, and his seemingly infinite army of Reggis only added fire to her curiosity. Was Regigas even alive?

Suddenly, a voice filled her head
"Ho-Ho. you're needed at the main hall for a conference"
It was Arceus, not wanting to make him wait long, she took off instantly. Once she got to the main meeting hall, she found no one except the gigantic crystal glowing a deep red. Arceus spoke from it
"Ho-Ho, lately I have felt some doubts in your spirit. Is everything ok with you?"
Ho-Ho could not hold her thoughts in anymore, if anyone could stop this madness, it was
Arceus, she began to speak franticly
"Lord Arceus! What is really going on? What are we preparing for? And why do you want this Edgar Sysoles so bad? I just have to know!"
The room went quiet. Suddenly, the red crystal began to glow even brighter than ever before
"I have a question for you as well... If you answer me, then I will tell you everything you want to know"
Ho-Ho nodded
"What is it?"
Arceus voice filled the room; it was devoid of any emotions
"Why are you immune to my mind control?"
At that moment, every single feather in Ho-Ho's body stood on end; she now knew something was very wrong. She began to laugh nervously trying to cover her nearly terminal case of terror
"Hahaha! For a moment there, I though you said mind control...!"
Arceus was not laughing, instead his tone took on a dark mood
"I did. Why can't I control you like everyone else?"
Ho-Ho began to sweat, she began to slowly pace backwards, fear was now very evident in her gaze
"Wha-wha- what do you mean?"
The crystal began to glow brightly once again
"Ah. And you had such potential. Might as well tell you everything... The reason everyone is preparing is because the shift is but mere minutes away"
Ho-Ho's eyes widened in shock
"THE SHIFT!!! But-but- that's not possible! It's too soon! Humanity doesn't know about it!!"
Suddenly, the room was filled with laughter that could only come from the depths of hell itself
"That's because humanity is not going to make it! The shift will happen when I want it to. And I say the shift is in a few minutes, end of story! HAHAHAHAHA!"
Ho-Ho could not believe what she was hearing, how could Arceus want humanity dead? He continued speaking in a firm tone, tints of evil where very present
"And the reason why I want Edgar Sysoles alive is because he is my future body. He may not have my soul, but that is easily fixed with a simple soul transfer"
Ho-Ho began to scream at the top of her lungs, tears began to appear in her eyes. She just could not believe any of this could be truth
"WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS!?? YOU CAN'T!!!! YOU JUST CAN-"
Arceus simply laughed cutting off her screams
"Questioning my authority huh?! That is punishable by DEATH!!!"
Suddenly the whole room went dark, Ho-Ho's body began to tremble from some unseen force, and Ho-Ho was in more pain than she had ever been in her long life. Arceus's voice echoed all over the room, it was like he was everywhere all at once
"Such a shame! You would have made a good sacrifice. Oh well. DIE!!!!"
Suddenly, Ho-Ho's world went black. Only one though ran through her mind as death seized her soul
"... What have I done..."
Ho-Ho's body began to violently shake. Suddenly, she imploded into herself and finally exploded. Her blood and guts began to rain all over the council chamber. The only proof she had died there was the blood splattered in the walls, ceiling, and floor. Ho-Ho's blood then sank into the ground, leaving the chamber spotless. Arceus cackled evilly
"Now only two beings stand in my way. But they will both be dead shortly... HAHAHA! HAHAHAHA! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!"

**********************************************************

Darkrai and Giratina had finally reached the deepest vowels of Rocket's old hideout. The only thing that greeted them was darkness and the occasional corpse. Suddenly, Darkrai's head was filled with Arceus's evil voice
"It is time! Get rid of the splinter cell. As for the boy... follow the plan and bring him to me in one piece!"
Darkrai's eyes changed from their usual blue to deep red. In his mind he finally understood what was happening. All of his fears and mistrust had turned out to be accurate, now he was loosing control of his own body. He managed to turn around before he lost his full body control. His eyes met with Giranita's. Right away she could tell there was something wrong. Darkrai's last words where very clear
"Giratina... he knows...run"
Suddenly, Giratina was assaulted by several shadowblade attacks, she barely managed to dodge them all and sink into the shadows. Darkrai's head was once again filled with Arceus's voice
"Never mind her. Get the boy! That is your main objective now"
Darkrai floated into the elevator and pressed the button, the elevator roared to life and fell into the void. Giratina rose from the shadows, she flinched in pain, even with her best attempts to avoid being slashed, she had gotten hit. Her blood was spilling all over the floor; she had only so much energy left. She needed to get help fast. She took off for the exit as best as she could.

**********************************************************

Silth was thrown against the wall once more, this time a deep gash could be seen across his chest. His blows had become ineffective, and no matter how much he tried to avoid being hit, he somehow ended up being the punching bag. Edgar was simply in too much of a rage, no matter what Silth did, nothing seemed to get past his thick skull. His only shot now was to disable Edgar, quite a long shot because of Edgar's regenerative powers.

Silth found himself with almost no options, his mind racing back and forth between his real pain, and the memory of that dream in which he nearly got killed and eaten. Was that nightmare about to become a reality?
Suddenly Edgar lunged at Silth, he barely managed to stop most of the blow, but he was thrown right into the pillar of eternity. As Edgar brought his blade down, Silth managed to slice it off, but it grew right back in mere seconds. The arm fell on the ground with a thud, and so did Silth. Silth knew that he would be dead if this kept going any longer. He had no fighting chance in this condition, he had given all his power just to bring the pillar to life, what he had left was not even enough to hold Edgar back. But even in this condition, Silth had two aces in the hole, if he tapped into the animas of Arceus and Ixol,
He would be able to wipe the floor with Edgar; there was only one small problem...

If he used them here, he risked destroying the entire planet.

That's when it hit him, the pillar; it had the power to create spores. He looked at Edgar's severed arm, realizing that there was only one shot at it, Silth grabbed the arm and ran towards the pillar's control panel. With only one shot at it, Silth began to operate the pillar. Edgar followed suit and readied yet another slash, Silth drew his own blade and met Edgar's arm blade, he would not be able to hold it for long. He began to type with his one free hand as fast as he could manage on the keyboard. Finally a compartment opened up, Silth threw the arm in and then shifted all his attention towards keeping Edgar at bay. Even with his two arms, it was almost impossible to match strenght. If Edgar pushed harder, Silth would be sliced in half. The pillar continued to light and make the sound of a generator, when Suddenly, the pillar stopped glowing, and a bell sound could be heard, almost as if it was an oven that had just finished cooking a cake. Using the last of his strenght Silth pushed Edgar out of the way and reached for the now open compartment. Edgar moved forward, his blade ready to slice. Silth took the syringe that had come out of the pillar and suddenly time itself slowed down.
Silth plunged the syringe into his chest and emptied its contents into his body, right at the same moment, Edgar's blade made contact with Silth's neck. His blade sliced through Silth's neck as if it had not even been there. Silth's severed head rotated in the air as it fell into the ground. His blood exploding out of his neck like a volcano eruption. Edgar's eyes where still filled with rage, but they now had a tint of victory to them. Silth's head passed right in front of him, as it spun in the air, it made eye contact with Edgar. But Silth's head did not have a face of shock, fear, or pain; but rather... it was smiling.
A big toothy smile was stretched across his face. As the head hit the floor, Silth's headless body turned around and lunched a massive punch at Edgar's face. He was sent flying backwards with such force, that upon impact, he left a massive crater. Edgar growled in anger as he recovered from its blow. Silth simply picked up his head and placed it neatly on his stump of a neck. Bone crackling could be heard as Silth's head was once again attached to his body. He smiled as he stretched his neck muscles
"So... this is what's it's like being an Imperfect god? I LIKE IT!!!"
Suddenly, Silth's arm split open as a blade erupted from it; flaps that could be extended to form a shield followed it. Several tentacles also ripped right trough his back as they formed more blades.
Silth was smiling like a kid in Christmas morning. Each one of the tentacles reached for the pillar, one of the tentacles pressed a button, causing the pillar to once again roar to life. Several seconds later, they all came back; each one held a syringe filled with a red liquid.
Edgar simply shook and growled like an animal. He lounged at Silth who replied by driving his blade right through Edgar's chest, he gasped in anger as all the tentacles plunged the syringes into his chest and back. Suddenly. Silth released Edgar as he stumbled and tripped like a drunken person. He fell on his knees and smiled, he was back. His words where weak, but clear in the quiet cavern
"...Thank... you... asshole..."
And he fell over, snoring quite loudly.

Silth laughed
" HAHAHAHA! Damn, he does snore loudly when he sleeps"
Silth looked at his watch and let out a growl
"ONLY TWO MINUTES TILL THE SHIFT! Damn! I wasted too much time!"
He got Edgar's arm and took out a syringe, he began to take blood from Edgar's veins. He looked at the injection and smiled
"If this works, humanity may just have a fighting chance... if it doesn't, then... well, at least I tried!"
Silth took the syringe and placed it in the same compartment he had placed Edgar's severed arm in. He closed it and began to type something in the computer panel at the foot of the pillar.
"Ok, so change it from V4 to V3, and..."
He pressed the button. Suddenly the tower lit up like a beacon once more, the whole cavern was illuminated. Suddenly Silth's wristwatch began to beep as his alarm went off.
"Oh no... it's too late...damn. Work you stupid piece of crap, work!"
The tower roared as it began to shot what looked like pillar of gas straight into the air.

*********************************************************

Sectran looked towards the hideout, and saw the pillar of Eternity light up; he looked at his clock, and smiled.
"Five seconds late. But better late than never"
Suddenly, the skies turned dark, Sectran knew well what was happening, and he turned to face Sain and the others, who had shocked faces at the sight of the gigantic pillar of liquid like material being shot into the atmosphere
"Hehehe, I suggest you all get someplace safe, the show is about to start"
Sain looked at Sectran with some intrigue
"You mean..."
Sectran nodded his head in annoyance
"Yes! That! Now MOVE!!"
Sectran shot out a hand towards Sain, he knew well that that gesture meant. Sectran seemed to be in a hurry to get it over with
"Truce! TRUCE, DAMMIT, TRUCE!!"
Sain shook his hand in a hurry as well; both of them seemed to loathe it. Finally Sain began to yell out loud
"FINE! NOW WHAT!!!"
Sectran simply talked into his intercom
"All troops are to retreat, we are no longer enemies with Legion, help them out if needed"
Sectran gave Sain a look of impatience; Sain got out his communicator and followed to give his troops orders
"All troops cease fire. We are no longer enemies with the imperfects. All troops head back to the Albatross and brace for the worst "
Sain turned to face Sectran. He began to smile as the ground itself began to tremble. Sain struggled to maintain his balance in the now shifting floor. Everyone else seemed to have been just as surprised as Sain was. Torn and her sisters took to the air, Mephisto plunged his scepter deep in the ground and braced himself. Sain turned to face Olivia who had been there the whole time; her face was filled with terror. Sain snapped at her
"Olivia! Listen to me! We need to get back to my ship! All of us! Can you do it?"
Olivia had never tried to teleport so many in a single try, but things where quickly getting out of hand, the ground itself was starting to split open. Sectran began to speak
"Never mind her, I'll do It!"
Sain turned to face Sectran with the outmost curiosity and doubt. Sectran began to concentrate and suddenly, everyone found themselves outside the city limits. Sain's face was filled with pure surprise. Sectran began to laugh quite heartily
"HAHAHAHA!! You've never seen teleport before? Or what?"
Sain only shook his head. He turned around to see if everyone in the group was present, but he found they where two people short. Olivia and Rasputin where not there. Sain began to shake his head
"Stubborn! They will get themselves killed"
The whole city was starting to break up; Sain's intercom rang with his lieutenant's voice
"Everyone is here and accounted for. What is your orders sir?"
Sain fell into deep thought for a moment
"Pick us up. We are in quadrant 46 outside the city"
Sain got a flare from inside his jacket and threw it. Green smoke began to fill the air
"South of green smoke"
His communicator rang once more
"Roger!"
Sain sat down. The city was falling to pieces. The quake was not as hard outside the city as it was inside it, what had become of Edgar and the others? And more importantly, where the hell was Silth?

**********************************************************

The whole world was set ablaze. Earthquakes triggered volcanoes, volcanoes covered the sun, leading to complete darkness, the ash falling like snow right into the floor. But strangely enough, the ash was not grey; it was green.
People where running for their lives, trying to survive falling buildings and ruptured gas pipes. It was total chaos around the world. To make things worse, hundreds of Reggis had appeared all over the world and proceeded to destroy everything in their path. People screamed in horror as they tried to evade death. A Reggi got a hold of one unfortunate boy and proceeded to blow his head clean off. The Reggi moved on as if nothing had happened. The boy's corpse sat in the ground until suddenly...

Another head began to grow. The Reggi turned around and saw the head grow right in front of his face. Had the Reggi a face it would have been one of shock and terror

**********************************************************

Silth simply maintained a smile on his face, he could already tell the whole world was being blanketed by the spores.
"And so begins the age of the imperfects"
But before he could do anything else, he felt something pierce his back. He turned in time to see Darkrai's face. Silth could right away tell that Darkrai was not himself anymore. Suddenly, Silth felt tired, dizzy, and drunk all at once. He began to stumble right into the floor, his face twisted and dazed. He reached for his back and to his extreme displeasure pulled out a syringe. He knew right away what kind it was. Silth growled as Darkrai spoke in a voice that was not his own at all
"You may have foiled my plans to gain unlimited power yet again! But nonetheless, I still have my consolation price. This boy's body will make the perfect vessel for my soul. His power will be mine and no one will stop me, no one! Not even you!"
Darkrai turned around; he grabbed Edgar's sleeping body from the ground, placed it in his shoulder and sank into the shadows. Darkrai had not used nearly enough tranquilizers to knock him out cold, but he could not move his legs and arms, he was helpless. Worse was that the whole place was starting to fall apart from the earthquakes. He was about to be buried alive. Silth growled in anger and frustration.

**********************************************************

Giratina had made it to the entrance of the hideout, but that was all that she had left in her. Every step she had taken up to this point had left a trail of blood. She was too tired to go on; too weak to even talk well.
"Am I really going to die here? No, I... must... go... on..."
Was all that ran trough her head.

She struggled to regain her posture, but it was all for nothing. She was too fatigued; she had lost too much blood. She began to curse her luck. Suddenly, there was an explosion and two figures appeared from the light. It was Olivia and Rasputin. Both of them seemed to have been locked in deep combat just a few moments ago, they both took a look at Giratina and rushed to her side, they could tell right away she was seriously injured. Olivia leaned closest to her
"What happened!?!"
Giratina simply shook her head
"Forget about me! You have stop Darkrai!"
Rasputin raised the question
"Darkrai? What is going on?"
Giratina raised her head
"Listen to me, everything we though has been wrong up to this point. Silth is not the real enemy, it's... someone... else..."
Both Olivia and Rasputin looked at each other, Giratina continued speaking, panting every once in a while, blood oozing from her mouth
"You two... have... to stop him... here..."
Giratina began to glow
"I will die here... but that doesn't mean... it's my... end... take... my... powers... you two... are... now... death... spirits...
I... can... tell... your... anima... is... right... for... this... *cough* PLEASE! stop... him... for... me...please..."
Suddenly, Giratina became pure energy, nothing but a floating orb of light. That light then proceeded to attach itself to both Olivia and Rasputin. Both of them where sent backwards a few feet. As both got up and shook themselves from the shock, their heads and turned to face one another. Olivia seemed lost
"Wha-what just happened?"
Rasputin seemed to be shaking uncontrollably. Suddenly her eyes began to tear
"... Giratina is dead... no! This cannot be happening!"
Olivia got up but fell not long afterwards; she was dazed
"Wha- what is this power I feel? It's not natural at all!"
