Chapter 1

Welcome to an unknown paradise

When you woke-up your eyes still felt heavy, so you tried going back to sleep. But the feeling of wind in your face and the sound of a flowing creek made you curious. You slowly opened your eyes and waited for your vision to get its focus as you looked up at the clear blue sky. When you rose-up from your lying down position, you looked around in complete confusion. All around you was nothing but trees. You discovered that you were on a flat rock, in the middle of a clearing in the middle of a forest. "Where I'm I?" you asked yourself.

When you were starting to get to your feet you happened to stare down at your legs. "What is this?" you asked yourself when you saw that not only weren't you wearing anything except a loin cloth, but that you had brown fur all over your body. You looked at your hands and were thankful that you still had five set of fingers, including the opposable thumbs, but instead of palms you have paw-pads. Then remembering that you heard a creek earlier, you rushed over to it. You peer at the surface of the water to see your reflection, "I must be dreaming," you said in reaction to the reflection. Staring back at you was an anthrop Eeveé, complete with pupil-less black eyes a large pear of ears and completely covered with a thin brown fur, including a thicker white fur covering your neck and part of your chest.

"What is this?" you ask yourself, "what I did become?" Suddenly another realization hit you like a ton of bricks. Besides how to speak, you don't remember anything that happened before the moment you woke-up from that rock. You paced around the clear thinking hard, but to no avail. After a few minutes of pacing you noticed a dirt path that led into the forest and decided to investigate. "I hope this trail leads somewhere." you said, "then I might find someone who can help me."

After what felt like a fifteen minute walk, the dirt path stops at the foot of an unusual looking large tree. What made this tree so strange is that it has a spiral staircase going around and up the length of the tree. You slowly look up the tree and saw a tree house at the very top of the tree. Hoping that someone was inside, you climbed up the spiral steps, went over to the front door, and knocked on it. After a brief wait, you noticed that the door was not locked. You opened the door a little, "Hello." you called out, "is anyone here?" But once again, no answer. You went inside the single room; single window tree house, curiously observing some strange looking artifacts on a far shelf.

"You're wondering what they are, aren't you?" said a voice from behind you. A bit surprised you turned to the open door to see someone standing there. It was another anthrop Eeveé. It had brown fur and thick white fur and wearing a loin cloth just like yours, and judging by its voice it was a male. "I've never seen you around here before." he said, "Who are you?" As embarrassing as it was you decided to tell him the truth. "I don't remember." you said. The other Eeveé gave you a strange look. "You don't remember?" he asked while sitting down on the floor, "Have a seat and tell me what you do remember." Seeing as this anthrop Eeveé was the closest thing you had as help, you complied with his request and sat on the floor in front of him. After telling him everything you had gone through from the moment you woke-up on that rock, the Eeveé started to think for a brief moment. "So you don't remember anything that happened before that moment?" he asked, "No." you answered.

"Then seeing as you don't remember anything about your past," said the Eeveé, "I would suggest that you begin a new life here." You thought for a moment, "Well," you said, "that would be a good thing to do." The other Eeveé rose to its feet. "Well then allow me to introduce myself," he said, "my name is Evann natural chef and collector extraordinaire, and we'll have to come up with a name for you." He started paced the room mumbling a bunch of possible names. At that moment you looked towards the shelf you saw earlier and saw a shiny silver ball. "How about Silvian?" you said. Evann turned to you and smiled. "It is good that you came up with your own name," he said, "and a nice one at that." "Thanks." you said. Evann turned around and looked out the window. "Its getting late." he said, "Do you want to stay here for the night?" You rose to your feet. "Sure," you said, "I don't have anywhere to go anyway."

Evann went over to a far wall and pulled on a wooden frame that stretched out a hammock. "But that's only one hammock," you said, "where will you sleep?" "The hammock is just wide enough for two people," said Evann, "I don't see why we can't sleep together." This didn't feel right to you, but seeing as it was just you and Evann in the tree house; you climbed into the hammock and lied down back to back with Evann. "Sleep tight." said Evann as both of you drifted of to sleep.
