Sorrow Ch.13
Sorrow Ch.13
The human tapped his finger against his chin, "Inferno and Sky. Those two have been together a long time, as such their bond is a bit more...powerful than the others." He bit at his lower lip, "I'm not sure how much chance of success we have with breaking them."
The pokemon nodded, "Yes they will be a problem. Succumbing to our weapon is one thing, but getting the other to believe that their love was a shame...that's a whole other thing." The pokemon let out a curse.
Carnage was pacing, he hated this waiting, he wanted to strike now, while they were broken, and still in a rage. "Why not just lure one out and kill'em? God knows that will bring sorrow to the other. We need to strike now! The longer we wait the more time they have to reconcile."
The human nodded, "Indeed, but..." he shook his head, those two were proving to be a real problem. As usual.

Sky lay next to Inferno, her unease exactly like that of the others. First Rika cheats on Bane, which was still in question, and now Blaze was caught with a charmeleon. She sighed, "Why is all this happening? Why now?"
Inferno shook his head, "I don't know why. But I do have a suspicion."
She looked at him, "You do?"
He nodded, "Don't you find it a bit odd that Rika cheated on Bane and then not long after Blaze does the same to Tia? Things like that don't occur in that manner. I'm certain Carnage is apart of this. But we'd be hard pressed to convince Tia and Bane that that's the case. Bane's waiting for us to give up on proving Rika's innocense so he can leave, and Tia wants to be left alone. Rika's an emotional reck, and Blaze is out trying to put something together." He sighed, "I don't like any of this Sky."
"Niether do I pup." Flanno walked up to them, his head hung low, making him look even older, "Indeed, you are right, something about this just feels wrong. Rika would not be one to betray anyone she loves, and she obviously loved Bane. And I could tell that that Blaze fellow, while a bit rough around the edges, was also of a good sort. Some outside force must be behind this, and I agree that your friend Carnage is apart of this. The only thing left now is to find proof, which is easier said then done."
Sky sighed again, "None of this is right. Who could want to do this? Carnage isn't that smart. Someone else must be doing this, but why?"
Inferno looked to the horizon, "That is the most important question. Who could want this?"
Bane was over in a small clearing, away from any one, simmering in anger. "How could I let myself be fooled by that filthy little bitch!? How could I let that happen!? Didn't life teach me I was unwanted!?" He said to himself, face in a snarl, "I should have joined back up with Death! I should have abandoned them! I shouldn't have let myself fall for her charms!!!!" He layed down and began shaking, "Why did she do it?" his tone had become softer, sadder, "Why? Didn't she love me? Did she think I didn't feel the same?" A tear fell from his eye, "Why Rika? Why?"
Rika was still in her old home, and she was still quivering in pain, "I'm sorry Bane. I'm so sorry." her voice wasn't audiable, "I don't know why I did it but...Please come back to me. I'm so sorry." Tears began to form anew and fell, "I'd never want to do that to you Bane. I love you so much. Why did I let it happen? Why?" her shaking grew more violent, "Bane I need you. Please forgive me. Please. Please..." She shut her eyes and fell into a unsound sleep.
Tia was staying at the den, Blaze was staying outside of it. She layed curled up, shivering every now and again, "I don't understand. I don't know why. I thought he loved me, but...I was wrong? He didn't? Then why all that deception?" She sobbed, "I wanted his love, and he said I had it. But he lied. He toyed with me. He used me. He didn't love me. Does he hate me that much? Did he want to make me suffer that bad? What did I do that was so wrong?" She was crying now, "Blaze, what did I do?"
Blaze was walking though the forest, unsure of where he was, and uncaring. He sighed, letting a tear fall, "Tia...I don't know why that happened. I wish I did. It had to be the same thing that happened to Rika. I'll find out, I'll prove that I would never betray you in my right mind." He sat down, "But what if I can't? I don't want to lose you. Tia, please, remember how much you mean to me. Your all that I have left. Your the only one who I can actually feel for now. Please don't take that away. Please. Please. Forgive me." He closed his eyes and cursed.
Flanno had left, off to inspect the area. Inferno rose, Sky with him, "Sky."
"Yeah?"
"I think we might be next."
She nodded, "your probably right."
"Sky if I'm the next one, please remember that I really do love you and only you."
She kissed him, "I could never forget. Just remember I feel the same. Your the only one I can ever truly love Inferno." She nuzzled him, he responded in kind. They stayed like that for a while before setting off to find something that would illuminate to the situation. She walked right next to him, "No matter what we have to make whoever's doing this pay!"
He nodded, "Agreed. For all the pain and suffering they caused they will see justice." She nuzzed him again, "Sky I love you."
"I love you too." They went for the spot of around the areas of betrayal.
Blaze was going staight for the spot Rika betrayed Bane. He searched around the are for a bit and began to get curious. Both Rika and Bane said that the place seemed to have a muffled scent, but it didn't now. He poked around the woods surronding the clearing, where anything could have been left behind. His searching paid off, he found a bottle, with a great big F as a lable. He looked at the bottle, it was corked and seemed to have some liquid in it, just a litte over the bottom of the lable. He opened it up and took a sniff....nothing. At least he thought nothing at first, since he didn't relaps into his desire driven state, but he noted one similarity to that time. The scents had all been muffled. But why didn't he feel that need? Maybe he needed a female. He sighed, not likely he was feeling that weird feeling even before Flare arrived. He stomped through the brush, cursing as he went.
Bane had moved to the spot he had found Inferno and Sky before he found Rika and those two remnants of his old pack. He stood over looking the small pond, lightly sniffleing. "I don't know what to think anymore. Rika why? I just want to know, why? Why wasn't I enough? What did I do?" He snarled, "WHY AM I BLAMING MYSELF!!? It was all her doing! I shouldn't be taking blame. She should. She played me for a fool, she doesn't deserve forgiveness! She doesn't even deserve to be in my thoughts the worthless whore!"
Rika had awoken, her rest disrupted, as usual, by her pain. She looked out of her homes entrance, hopeing to see Bane there, waiting to hear her apologies. He wasn't. She sniffed, "Bane....Bane I'm sorry. I didn't want it...I love...does it matter? How could you forgive me? After my reaction to seeing you with that delcatty, why should you forgive me? Why should you love me again? Why should I bother trying to get you back when it's impossible." Her crying grew, "Why can't I just accept the fact your gone? Gone forever." She saw her mother holding berries infront of her face, begging her to eat. Rika weakly pecked at a few then fell back into her despair.
Tia had left the den, and was walking around it, not wanting to venture far and bump into Blaze. She sighed, "Blaze what did I do? Why do you hate me so? Why? What's wrong with me? Is it because I had it easy while you struggled? I'm sorry it happened but...Please Blaze. Tell me why?" She wasn't sure if she had gone crazy. She didn't care, "I just want to understand. I just want to know what I did wrong." She leaned against a tree, "Blaze...Blaze why? Why? why...why...why?" She looked up to the sky, "WHY!?" She collasped and began crying.
********************************
The spearow flew onto his masters shoulder, "Master great news."
The human smiled, "What?"
The spearow cackled, "Tia, Rika, Bane, and Blaze are all so broken. They stay alone, begging to understand why this all happened. They refuse to talk to anyone. They are all lost in their own sea of despair."
The human nodded, his wicked smile still on his face, he held up his pokeball and called the pokemon in. "This is going great. Taking out Sky and Inferno will be all to easy now."
Flanno was hiding behind a tree, listening. He repressed a outburst of rage.
The human continued smiling, "Now all we need is to get Taska to convince Inferno to mount her, then the plan will be half way done." Flanno nearly leaped at them.
Carnage chuckled, "Then we kill them all one by one by one!" He burst into an all out laughter. The insanity of his compatriots had spread to him, but he didn't really care. Flanno repressed another bellow of rage for the pain they had caused Rika.
The pokemon chuckled, "Soon our revenge will be complete. Then we can reveal the truth that we've kept hidden for so long. I just want to see that face when I tell of the true cause of the incident."
Carnage chuckled, "I'd like to see it myself. But I do believe we have a little matter to attend to first."
The human nodded, "Indeed. You've been inactive for so long my friend. How about you kill our eaves dropper?" Flanno's face froze.
The pokemon chuckled, "I'd love to. Just another way to hurt our prey!" He flew at Flanno's hiding spot. Flanno leaped out of the way.
He stared at the collection of filth, "You won't kill me. Age means nothing on the battlefield."
The pokemon chuckled, "Maybe but skill does!" He used a quick attack, and was at Flanno's back. Flanno countered with a sky uppercut. The attack hit the pokemon in the jaw, but it didn't even flinch. The pokemon smiled, "Not a bad attack, but you need an extra bit to it for it to have any effect." He lifted his claws, "This won't be so easy to survive." His claws glowed with the aura of a dragon claw, then cut through Flanno. The attack came again and again, carving up the aged pokemon. His fur was begining to become covered with darker patches of red, his blood. The pokemon was laughing as he knocked his sliced up victim into a tree. "That was fun!"
The human was smiling, "Glad you thought so. Now we have to make preperations for the destruction of poor little Sky and Inferno." The group walked from the grisly scene. Flanno layed there, his breath coming in ragged gasps, until his chest became still, and his eyelids fell. He layed in a pool of his own blood as the three walked away laughing over this unexpected fun. Inferno and Sky would find him later that night in their search for clues.
