Carnage went through the underbrush, intently looking for the flower that they were searching for. As he crept through the foliage the other pokemon was also searching. As Carnage bent down he heard the other laugh. Carnage rose and turned toward the pokemon, he was standing still, smiling, "Found it!" Carnage moved toward the spot and saw the flower in a small cluster.
He repressed a sneer at his companion, "Great, now how do we get it back to your little lab?"
The pokemon revealed a small bag, Carnage briefly wondered how he missed it. The pokemon lifted the mass of flowers, placed it in the bag and smiled, "Lets get going. We have things to do." The pokemon took to the sky, Carnage quickly followed, silently cursing as he did so. Being set on a flower picking job was not what he was expecting, and now he had to go back to that horrible hell that his compatriots called home.

The group was aiming for the direction that Blake had set them on. Night had already come and gone, most of which they spent chasing after the manectric, and now it was afternoon and they were starting to see more signs of the passing of a pack. Inferno led the way, with Sky and Rika following close behind, the others at the rear. The others were starting to get tired from the constant running, Inferno was the only one who seemed to be unaffected. Sky smiled, of course he wasn't feeling any strain, his sister was in danger, any exhastion he would ignore. Then all of sudden Inferno stopped, "Lets rest. We won't be able to do much if we're to tired to fight."
Sky looked at him, a bit concerned, "you sure?"
He looked back with a reassuring smile, "What could we do if we'd have trouble just standing? She's okay, I can feel it. We're catching up to them too, so a small break is not going to hurt us." Sky smiled and nodded, Tia and Blaze nearly collasped, Rika and Bane were panting heavily. Rika looked toward the direction the manectrics were going, "Those bastards best not have hurt her."
"Cara's tough when she needs to be, that's why I didn't need to save her a lot." Inferno grinned, "I know she'll be okay. She's also got some brains in that skull of hers. More than I can say for some of you."
Sky and Tia giggled, Rika and Bane glared, Blaze wasn't paying attention and missed the coment. Rika stuck her nose up, "I'll remember this bud. You'd better watch it when we save your sister, cause that's when I'll give you whats coming to you." Inferno repressed a multitude of come backs and grinned.
The group were all sitting down and catching their breath when they heard a voice, "Well, well, well, looks like we have some would be chasers. And some pretty freaky ones at that." A bunch of manectic began to emerge from the surronding brush. The pack looked over persuers chuckling as they did so, until they got to Inferno. Then they broke out into a full blown frenzy of laughing. The leader, distinguished by his lightning bolt shaped scar over his left eye, smiled, "Well, well, well. I do believe we have a friend of our little prize. Am I right?"
Inferno glared at the leader, "Where's my sister?"
The leader laughed, "So your her brother? Honestly I was expecting that arcanine mate of hers, instead I get her brother, maybe seeing you die will make her a bit less problomatic. She's really uncooperative you know. All we ask is that she does a few things, none of which are sexual, but she doesn't listen." He looked back, "Bring the bitch out here."
Two manectric came forward with a houndoom between them, her mouth was tied shut with a piece of rope. She saw the scene and tried to say something, but all that came out was a muffled mumble, Inferno looked over Cara and was glad that she didn't appear hurt. "Listen since she's okay and uninjured I'll let you guys go scott free. Just let her go and you all can get along with your life."
The pack broke into another fit of laughter, the leader nearly fell over in his mirth, "What makes you think you can take us? How is it you believe that we can't take you down? We have you out numbered three to one you can't win."
Inferno smiled, "we've gone up against worse odds." the others were smiling too.
Blaze looked around, "This won't be much of a challenge. I mean just three to each of us. Maybe we should get some blindfolds."
Rika sighed, "I suppose Drake would have trouble since he fought them all alone, but man this is pretty pathetic especially compared to that one time when Death and his three friends ambushed us before we got to the festival."
Sky shrugged, "And compared to Biogen, this will be like a little jog."
The manectric were growing annoyed, the leader let out a growl, "So you don't think we're much, we'll show you! Attack!"
The pack launched themselves at the group, three to each, with the leader and two of his underlings, most likly elites, going after Inferno. The only manectric not involved in the fight were those gaurding their captive. The three attacking Rika didn't bother with electric attacks, nor did those attacking Tia, they focused on using more direct attacks. The other's didn't have to worry about their thunder bolts being ineffective, so they used them with out pause. Despite the fact the manectric had only a slight numerical advantage, that was all they needed to make a real fight. They moved in and attacked relentlessly, never stopping once. When one was dodged another came in with his own attack.
Sky was jumping left and right, avoiding thunderbolts, while also avoiding the thirds up close attacks. She avoided one thunderbolt, but she didn't see the other coming in for a bite. The manectric tried to latch his jaws on her flank, but she slipped free and delivered a powerful ice beam, freezing the electic types foot to the ground. While the one tried to free his paw, the other two kept up the attack, but it was becoming obvious that the effort was taking it's toll.
Compared to the flailing tentacles that his brother once had, Bane found the manectrics attack easy to dodge. Every time their assult lightened even an inch, he'd launch a few shadow balls, knocking one back and forcing the others to keep up their efforts, with a visable drain. Bane leaped over his charging foe, sent a hyper beam at one of the ranged attackers, then moved toward the last. The manectric tried to jump away, but wasn't quick enough, he was caught in a bite, then tossed to the side.
Rika was having trouble keeping one step ahead of her opponents. They came at her with such speed that right after she dodged one another was right there. She quickly cycled through possible options, and after another two attacks went by, a bit to close for comfort she hit the ground with a thunderbolt, sending dust into the air. The pack stopped and tried to find their target, with little success. Rika, however, was having no such trouble, she quickly knocked two to the ground with a well placed iron tail, the other recieved a mega punch to the jaw, launching him into the sky, landing with a dull thud, twenty feet from his launching point. Rika smiled as the manectric wearily rose.
Tia wasn't making any attempt at avoiding the attacks at her. They were so weak she didn't feel most of them. With an iron tail she sent one sailing into a tree, where he remained dazed. Another jumped to high and recieved a mega punch to the gut sending him on a crash course with the other manectric. Both were sent tumbling back with their friend, dazed.
Blaze's attackers were much more durable, he'd gotten off a few fire blasts but they still kept coming. He'd also recieved a thunderbolt, and was surprised by the strength. Blaze unleashed a blast of confusion, sending the charging manectric back, to land in a confused lump. The other two launched thunderbolts, but only hit ground. Blaze took the opportunity to use psychic and send two large rocks hurtiling into them. The manectric yelped as they were knocked back.
Inferno's attackers were the best of the group. The leader was mercyless with his attacks, launching bite after bite, tackle after tackle. His support were busy launching thunderbolts to keep Inferno contained. The leader chuckled, "this is great! I haven't had this kind of a work out for I don't even want to know how long. How about you? You having fun?"
Inferno was panting, staring at the ground, "*pant* *pant* The time of my life!" He lauched forward at the leader. The leader responded with a bolt tackle, charging at Inferno with all of his streagth. An explosion rung out, with the pack leader flailing out of the smoke with a yelp and landing into a tree. As the smoke cleared Inferno was smiling, "Not bad." He blasted the other two, "But while your plan is sound, it lacks execution." He turned toward the two protecting his sister, he charged up his dark fire beam, and blasted them away. He's got a brain in that head of his, and a determined heart, most would have fainted from those injuries of his."
Cara smiled back, "Took you long enough. You must be losing your touch in your old age."
"We're not done here!" The leader was up again, barely, "I won't let this be."
Inferno sighed, "You've got potential, but your just too damn stupid." He turned and launched another dark fire beam sending the manectric leader flopping back into the forest. The other manectric looked at their bosses departure and cursed. They all took off, disappearing into the forest. "I won't forget this!" The leader yelled out from his cover.

Cara huffed, "I didn't ask them to abduct me! I didn't want anything to do with them."
Inferno took one last look to make sure the pack was gone, "So is what that manectric leader said true? They didn't try anything..."
Cara shook her head, "Nope. They got some females in their group, they didn't need me. They just wanted me to do some menial labor, hunting, babysitting. They needed a slave is what. That and I think they wanted Drake. I heard some of the females saying how cute he was."
Bane's jaw nearly dropped, "they wanted you to be part of the pack!? We came running all this way, thinking you were in danger, and all it was was a direct pack invitation."
Cara shrugged, "It was more of a forced join, but I guess so."
