The Beginning
The Beginning
A houndour was walking through the woods, heading toward his favorite spot. He arrived at a small pond, surronded by flowers, with a large rock next to the water. He smiled, this was his little spot, the place he had found a while back. Though he wasn't a fan of water, he found the spot to be so peaceful that he was willing to overlook the devilish liquid. He was lounging upon the flat rock, then he heard his mother, "Inferno. Inferno come here."
With a sigh he went trotting back home. When he arrived he saw a slender female houndoom, tapping her paw, with an impatient look on her face. Inferno smiled, "Hey mom."
"Don't you hey me! You know damn well what you're supposed to be doing."
He shrugged, "come on, what does it matter whether or not I deliver the thing."
She sighed, "Because Flanno asked for you personally. Why is it you can't show even the slightest bit of courtesy to him?"
Inferno shrugged again, "I don't know. Kinda wonder that myself, in fact we actually were trying to figure out why I can't seem to be respectful of him."
She looked at him, a slight smile on her face, "You know, you're lucky Flanno's so agreeable, if you acted that way to me, I'd make you wish you had your hide tanned." She pushed him onto his side, laughing when he barked in aggitation, "Now will you just take Flanno his collection of herbs." She pointed to a small bundle, it looked like another, bipedal, pokemon had wrapped it up in a giant leaf.
He looked at her, still defiante, then huffed, "Fine. But only because you're my mom."
She snapped at his rear, "Dang right I'm your mom. Now get going." He barked at her again, but went off, his cargo secure in his jaw. Inferno wasn't surprised he could lift it so easily, he was always tougher than any one else his age, even those that were older. He made quick progress, soon reaching the abode of the elder, that decrepit old fossil called Flanno. He placed the packedge down, "Hey old man, I've got your stupid herbs."
An aged blaziken appeared, "Such disreputable behavior from one so young. I wonder where that angel that is your mother went wrong with you." He shook his head, sighing, "Oh well, to late to change that now. Thank you for the speedy delivery, and do send my thanks to your mother, and Shika for the gathering and wrapping of my materials."
"Yeah, yeah. Sheesh, how can somthing so old have so much wind in it."
Flanno looked agast, but Inferno knew it was just a mock look, "Why such disrespect! I must investigate how such a pup can come from a family filled with rather agreeable members. I mean even your father and sister act better then you."
Inferno chuckled, "Blah, blah, blah. Can I go now?"
Flanno shook his head again, "yes be off with you. I doubt my old bones could stand your disrespect for much longer."
Inferno said his good-bye, then took off back for his home, then to his secret spot. He was humming as he went, grateful that the day was clear, he loved sunny days. As he passed by one of the homes of the many denizens of the forest he overheard their conversation, "Did you hear? Apperently that arbok Sarak was seen slithering around again."
"The nerve of that snake, snooping around, up to no good. I can't wait for the guardians to get him."
"Amen."
Inferno chuckled, "That snake won't last long against the gaurdians, I just with I could be there when they finally catch him." Inferno's dream was becoming a gaurdian, a protector of his home, and every one knew that it wasn't a matter of if, just when, since you needed of sexual maturity to be given position of gaurdian, and Inferno was nearing that. He picked up the pace, which had him run head first into an eevee and chikorita. Inferno growled, "Damn it Spark, Raze! Watch where you're stepping!"
The eevee gave a dismisive snort, "I wasn't the one that crashed head first into a couple of walkers, don't blame this on us."
"I'll blame it on who ever I want, I am strong enough after all."
The chikorita shook his head, "You know, one day, you're gonna get your ass kicked."
Inferno gave a smug smile, "Not likely. No one can match my strength. I'm unbeatable, I'm gonna be the best gaurdian this place has ever had."
Spark and Raze shook their heads, Spark rolling his eyes, "You have to compete with us you know?"
Inferno chuckled, "Not much competition then." Spark growled, "Well I've got to get home, sorry I can't stay and tell you guys how weak you are."
Raze nodded, "Alright, later Inferno, and don't count me out, I'm not Spark." Spark's growl went to Raze, then all three broke out into a laugh. Inferno was going slightly slower then when he was heading to Flanno, enjoying the peace of the forest. Until it was broken by the sound of a girl letting out a yell. Inferno bolted for the source of the sound.
He arrived to find a pikachu surronded by growlithes. She was glaring at them, they glared right back. "You little bitch, you're gonna regret that remark."
She spat, "I call'em as I see'em. Sorry if you all are a bunch of ignorant boys, that couldn't take a little pidgey that was blind and deaf."
"That's it, tear off her mouth!"
Inferno dropped down, "Whoa! Hold it! This doesn't seem fair, how many of you are there, and there's only one of her."
The lead growlithe growled at him, "Stay out of this Inferno!"
Inferno shook his head, "Not gonna happen, I'm not gonna let you just beat on her because you can."
The lead growlithe shook his head, "Fine, kick his ass too!" The growlithe charged. Inferno moved up and knocked the first few down, with well placed moves, usually invovling him sticking out a leg, tripping them. The rest jumped at him, just to land on one another while he stood back laughing. Those that hadn't been duped chared and an actual melee ensued. Bites and paw swipes where everywhere, the only hits landing on the growlithes. Then Inferno heard the pikachu let out a yell of pain, he looked and saw the lead growlithe going at her. Inferno disengaged from the others and moved to help the pikachu. The growlithe had moved in and was about to land a paw swipe, when Inferno interceded, taking the blow to his face. Inferno cursed, but knocked back the growlithe with a well placed headbutt. The other growlithe tackled him then, and began biting wildly, Inferno was beggining to take some damage. Then he felt a surge of energy, which showed itself at his mouth, as a big black ball. It blasted a growlithe into the air, just about five to six feet, but it still hurt when it landed. Inferno used the awe the others felt to escape, that allowed the pikachu to use her thundershock, zapping all the growlithe. Inferno looked at the pikachu, "Thanks." She nodded, smiling. Inferno turned back and saw the growlithe were charging again, their leader at the front, Inferno and the pikachu prepared their own attacks. Inferno sent another shadow ball, hitting the leader, knocking him, and those behind him back, leaving them prone to the pikachu's thunder bolt.
"Forget this, let's get outta here." The growlithe began to run away, the pika stepped forward, "That's right run away!" She turned, licking her finger then pressing it to her rear, "Ssssss. I'm hot baby!"
Inferno rolled his eyes, "I wonder why they wanted to kick your ass."
She turned back to him, "Bah! Thanks for the help there, Inferno right?" He nodded, "Yeah you're that kid of my mom's friend."
Inferno nodded, realizing he had seen this pikachu before, "Yeah you're Shika's daughter aren't you?"
She nodded, smiling, "Yep, name's Rika." She smiled even bigger, "Looks like I owe you one."
Inferno shook his head, "I just did what was right, annoying as you might have been, they were being unfair."
She shook her head, "No I won't let this go. Now, let's see,....ahhh I know." She walked up to him, smiling, then planting a small kiss on his cheek. "There my debts paid."
Inferno looked at her dumbstruck, "What!?"
"Don't put to much thought into that kiss though, you're not really what I call mate material."
Inferno was still confused, "Uhhh....whatever." He was about to head off, but cursed when he put pressure on his leg, "Damn! They must have gotten me better than I thought."
Rika walked up, "Wow, looks like you need an escort, I guess I could do it, since our mom's are such good friends. I won't even make you owe me for this." She got along side him, motioning for him to get moving. Whenever his leg failed he could put his wieght on her, and not fall over. The going was slow, but they got to his den, where Inferno's mother rushed to see him, "Inferno! What happened!?"
Inferno smiled, "Nothing mom. Just got into a little scrap with some growlithe harrasing Rika here. Nothing big, I took them all down, without any real trouble." Rika bonked him on the head, hard, "OWWW! What was that for!?"
"I helped you know, you wouldv'e been beaten down without me. Plus I helped you here."
Inferno grumbled, "Bitch." For that Rika kicked him in the side. "OWWWWWW!"
Inferno's father walked up then, "Son, I'm gonna give you a piece of advice, never insult a female, their wrath is far worse to anything a male has."
Inferno's mother glared at him, "What's that mean?"
"Nothing dearest, just some advice, especially of those like Rika here. Nothing to do with you, my sweet, delicate...OWWWWW! DAMN IT!" The female houndoom, had knocked his feet from under him, then knocked him to the ground.
She turned to Inferno, "Also, never give that kind of advice when a female's present." She had a scary smile on her face, "Especially if it's your mate."
"Heed your mother's words, it might save your..." He stopped when she looked at him.
Inferno's mother turned to Rika, "Thank you for helping Inferno home Rika. Now get back home yourself, your mother will want to know about this little incident." Rika nodded and took off.
Inferno shouted at her, "Hey tell your mom that Flanno's grateful for the help with the herbs." he turned back to his mother, "Yeah same message."
She nodded, then brought him in, "You need to rest, it's getting late anyway." Inferno protested, but those protests were in vain. She set him down next to his sister Cara, who was already fast asleep. Inferno yawned, then quickly joined in his families trip to dreamland.

Five Days Later
******************
Inferno was running around with Rika, Spark, Cara, and Raze, it was afternoon and they were playing a pokemon version of tag, only hitting someone with an attack counted as a tag too. The game was a great way for increasing strength, so the adults encouaged it, so long as it didn't get to rough. Inferno was hardly ever it, and when he was he quickly passed the position to another, for that reason he was always targeted, usually meaning some poor sap got hit when they got to close to the houndour. As they were playing Inferno's mom walked up, "Inferno."
They put their game on pause, "Yeah mom?"
"Want to help me get some food?"
Inferno nodded, "Sure. I'll be back later guys." They nodded and continued their game. Inferno took up step beside his mom, smiling. She was smiling at him too, "I'm proud of you Inferno."
He turned his head, "Why?"
"For what you did for Rika. You helped her, even though you didn't know her, that is the mark of someone who'll make a great gaurdian."
He shrugged, "It just didn't seem right for them to go after her like that."
She smiled, "That's why I'm proud. You can see when something's right or wrong, not many your age can do that. Inferno I'm also amazed you learned the shadow ball attack at so young." Inferno shrugged, "Your gonna be a great houndoom, maybe mark the standard of what are kind should strive to be. Don't ever forget who you are deep down though."
Inferno shook his head, "Never!"
She smiled at him, "Good. You'll make some female very happy one day, I know it."
He looked at her confused, "How?"
"By being her mate." She smiled at how innocent he still was. Inferno shrugged but kept quiet, "Inferno, I love you."
He smiled, "I love you too mom." They had gotten to a clearing, quite a way away from any habitants. "Okay, so anything in particular mom?"
She shook her head, "No, just get a branch that has some food on it, and don't poke your eye out in the process." She looked back, inspecting the spot, then shook her head. Inferno was inspecting one bush filled with berries when he heared his mother let out a cry. He turned and saw an arbok coiled around her, preventing her from using her tail, legs, or her mouth, to fight it off. "MOM!" He charged, but the arbok's tail was still free, and it used it to knock Inferno back and into a tree.
The arbok chuckled, "I wassss waiting for one of you to sssstray from the eyessss of your damn gaurdianssss. And look at what I got, a very pretty houndoom. I will take grate pleasure in thissss."
Inferno got back up, shakilly, "Mom! Get off of her you snake!" He charged forward, and was once again knocked back by a flick of the tail. The arbok chuckled, "And we have an audience, you sssson no lesssss. How about we ssshow him how mating workssss. Or at leassst, how a rape workssss." With those chilling words the snake began inserting his serpentine member into her. She struggled, Inferno watched in horror, trying to get up, and the serpent began thrusting into her. The entire incident felt like it was taking hours for Inferno, as he struggled to rise, to protect his mom, to stop that snake from hurting her. The arbok kept going at the female, smiling as he went, while she struggled, tears in her eyes. Then he finished, sending his seed into her, smiling, "Well I'm done, and now to refill my energy. You were fun, but now bye-bye." With a sudden tightening of his coils Inferno's mother's body went limp. Inferno rose then, charged, and used a hyper beam to blast the snake off his mother. The arbok hit a tree, letting out a yell of pain.
Inferno stood over his mother's body, he placed his paws on her and began shaking her, "Mom! Mom get up. Please, mom, we need to get home. Mommy! Mommy, please, get up! Please, mommy, please!" Inferno was crying, shaking her body franticly, but her eyes remained close, her body didn't stir of it's own accord. "MOOOOOOOOOOM!" She remained still. Inferno was then sent hurtiling into a tree, it cracked from the impact.
The snake stood glaring, "How dare you sssstrike me! I am Sssssarak, the lord of evil!" He rushed up, knocking Inferno into the air, then into another tree. Sarak looked back at the mother, "Now where wassss I?" he went up to her body, then began to devour her whole. Inferno looked in shock, trying to move, to stop it, to make Sarak pay, but he was so injured, he couldn't even stand. Rain began falling, as Sarak finished his meal. Then he approached Inferno, "Now I'm gonna let you live, go tell those foolsssss that they can't stop Sssssarak. Tell them what happened her today, and make sure to tell them everything. He picked Inferno up, "And thissss is for that little blasssst!" He sent Inferno hurtleing toward his home, crashing into the ground.
Inferno, with what strength he didn't know, stood and proceeded toward the main square. He stumbled in, finding a large gathering, including his father, sister, friends, their parents, and Flanno, along with several others. When they saw Inferno they rushed toward him, he collapsed before they got there. His father got to him first, "Inferno! What happened? Are you okay?" Inferno couldn't look his father in the eyes, nor his sister, "Inferno, what happened?"
Flanno got up, "Inferno, where's your mother."
Inferno broke into crying, the first time he had ever cried in any of there memories, "S...Sarak c....came out of no where. He beat me aside. He coiled around her..." Inferno couldn't bring himself to tell of the rape, "He killed her!" everyone was struck speechless, "Th....the...then he....ate her. I tried..I tried so hard, but I...." Inferno was trembling, his body had been brutally beaten, he was striken with fatigue, but he forced himself to finish, "I couldn't do a thing. I...I...I failed her....I'm no gaurdian...I'm so sorry mommy!" He blacked out then and there.

One Week Later
******************
Inferno layed there, looking out at the pond. He had spent five days unable to move, his injuries being to sevear. He spent that time mute, not talking to anyone, and he was still mute now, refusing to talk to anyone, even his own family. How could he? He was suppose to be a sure thing for gaurdianship, and he couldn't even protect his mother. What could he do for a village, if he couldn't save his own mother. "I'm sorry mom. I'm so sorry." He spoke to his reflection, his tears falling into the water, creating ripples. Slowly he could see his mother, smiling at him, saying how proud she was. Then he saw Sarak, coiled around her, raping her, killing her, eating her. His face slowly became a snarl, his blood boiled, his anger reaching a level he never thought possible, "I'M GOING TO KILL THAT SNAKE!!!!!" He rose and began his training to become stronger.
The training lasted two weeks, and it had a profound effect, he had gotten fast, stronger, and much more angry. He knew he could do better, but he couldn't give Sarak any more of a chance to slip away, since he had found out that the snake had left not long after he killed Inferno's mother.
Inferno woke that morning, intent on leaving, as he went, he saw his father at the entrance of the den, "Where are you going this early Inferno?"
Inferno stopped, "We both know."
His father shook his head, "Do you think it'll be any different? Two weeks isn't enough time to get stronger than Sarak, especially after.."
Inferno was growling, "I don't care! I'm not going to just stay here and let that snake go free."
"Damn it Inferno!"
"Listen I don't give a fuck what you say! I'm going! I won't be stopped!" Inferno stormed out of the den. His father spewing out profanities.
Inferno walked down the same path he had gone down with his mother, but didn't diverge off it at the one point they had. He kept going to the center of the area, the little square, where his friends were gathered, along with his sister, he didn't even notice she was gone when he got up. They approached, "Inferno? Where are you going?"
He didn't want to get into an aurgument with them, so he put on a smile, but it felt as hollow as his soul, "I'm going to see the world. I just can't stand it here anymore, it's just to boring."
Rika shook her head, "We know that's bull."
Inferno's fake smiled vanished instantly, "So what then? You think you can stop me by force?"
They shook their heads, Cara was surpressing tears, "Inferno, please don't go. He'll kill you."
He shook his head, "He'll die first."
Spark began a staring contest, "Damn it all why can't you just let it..."
"If you could let it go seeing your mother killed and eaten then we'll talk!" So much for not arguing with them. He marched through them, shoving his way to the other side. They all turned, Raze sighed, "You know you'll just get killed doing this."
Inferno stopped, then looked back, "I'd prefer to die then let him go!" He snapped his head back, then went off, not bothering to look back.

One Year Later
******************
An arbok was slithering toward an unsuspecting buneary, preparing to feast. It got within two feet, when the buneary finally heard it, but it was too late. The arbok lunged, receiving a blast to the side of it's head. It shook it's head, then looked for the source of the blow. It spotted a houndoom, a big, lean, and very pissed off one, "Where is he?" The arbok looked confused, the houndoom, charge forward, knocking the snake into a tree, it's throat being pressed in by the houndooms paw. "Where is Sarak?" The arbok realized who he was and smiled, "TELL ME!" The pressure was painful and the smile on the snake's face vanished in an instant. "He's due west of here," the arbok found it hard to talk, let alone breath, "Just keep going, you should find him by nightfall if you don't stop." Inferno's face didn't show any emotion short of that pure hate, he walked off, the arbok trying to regain it's breath, "Man do I feel sorry for Sa...." it's sentence was cut short by a hyper beam, which knocked it into a tree, creating a spray of blood.
Inferno kept on the path he was pointed on, never once stopping, he had a good meal that morning, it would last him till he found Sarak. He had evolved during his hunt, and he had gotten a lot more powerful, and his hatred had grown just as much, if not more. He mercilessly killed any and all snakes, whether or not they helped him was besides the point. He had only one thing on his mind, it was the thing he had on his mind since that day, all those months ago. He didn't stop for anything, he'd find Sarak, and when he did, he'd kill him.
Sure enough Inferno found that snakes scent, he never forgot it when they first met, and he followed it, even as night decended. He was oblivious to everything but his prey's scent, and his perserverance paid off. In a clearing, Inferno saw Sarak, coiled up and sleeping. Inferno nonchalantly walked up, Sarak was so sure of himself that he didn't regester Inferno as a threat. Inferno planned to show Sarak how big a mistake that was. Inferno first used a shadow ball, knocking Sarak into a tree, the snake now fully awake, "What the hell!?"
Inferno growled, "Remeber me Sarak!?" The snake looked up, uncomprehending, "I'm the son of that houndoom you raped, killed, then ate. I'm that houndour that you beat around." Sarak's eyes went wide with the memory. "I'm Inferno, and I'm your executioner!" He charged forward, using an iron tail to knock Sarak through the tree, he quickly followed that up with another charge. Inferno began biting savagly at Sarak, grabbing a hold of the snake just to slam him into a tree, then used a shadow ball to send him through. This assault kept up until Sarak was knocked into a small clearing between the forest and a steep cliff, overlooking a raging river. Sarak was struggling to stay up, his body was torn, battered, bruised, sliced, and utterly recked, and Inferno wasn't done. He used a fire blast, knocking Sarak to the edge, the snake screaming as his body burned. Inferno let out a menacing growl, "Heaven know's I'm letting you off to light!" He rushed in, using an iron tail to send Sarak air born. Inferno leaped up, then let loose a hyper beam, a very powerful one, knocking Sarak straight into the other side of the cliff. Before Sarak could fall into the river, Inferno launched a string of fire blasts and shadow balls, enjoying the screams of agony coming from Sarak, who plumeted to the water. When he hit, Sarak was quickly washed away, his body hitting rock after rock, until he went under and stayed there.
Inferno watched as Sarak vanished, "Good Riddance." He turned and looked up at the starry night sky, "Now what? I can't go home, what good would I be? I have nothing now. No mother, no home, no purpose. Maybe I should just join Sarak in hell, I belong there for my failure. Mom, I'm sorry it took so long." A tear fell from his eye, "I'm so sorry mommy, I can't be what you wanted me to be." He turned toward another path, and began walking down it, "Maybe I'll find a reason traveling, if not, then maybe I'll be put out of my misery." He went down the road at a moderate pace, praying that somehow, someway, he'd find something to devote his life too.
