Episode 27 - Ally and Enemy
It was not going to happen like this, no more will die because of me. My anger just overwhelmed me and forced me right into the Sentinel's main ability, but instead of turning black and red like the Anriu's main ability, I turned silver and gold. I suddenly dashed forward with incredible speed, catching up with Aiiran so quickly even though he had so much of a head-start to get out of here.
The wind blew passed my face so furiously, my head hair flowed, and my robe waved around like the ocean in the middle of a hurricane. I clenched tightly to my Katana in my right hand while I held the sheath in the left.
As I ran through this forest-type environment, I almost ran off a cliff which over looked a very long and slim river. By seeing this, I knew I was very near Fortree city, in other words, Miir Cyraa.
I quickly turned around when I heard the rustle of bushes behind me which seemed to have been heading into a nearby cave by the direction of swings in the bush's direction, "Aiiran..."
Quickly, I sprinted inside of the cave, it was moderate in size but seemed to fit its purpose, and that purpose was: Shelter. But this triggered a reaction in my mind, I remembered the day my journey began to so well, "Miss, do you need help?" I remembered myself asking the injured female Umbreon, the mother of Michelle, in the cave around the Outskirts of Slateport city.
"So... how have you been doing?" Aiiran's voice echoed passed the cave, "I see you have lost your claws... the robe is a bit unusual but now you have a Katana as well? The gold and silver fur is a bit of a surprise though, I guess it is true that you are a Guardian..." he finally revealed himself from his location, he was in a shady corner to my left, but I could not see where Tira was.
"A Sentinel... and where is Ti..."
"... she's safe... remember these things?" he cut me off as he pulled out a Master Ball from his belt which held two nine-millimeter pistols and two Katanas, "Quite handy actually... I wonder why I just happened to find one laying around out in the wilderness without any Pokemon in it..."
I began to grit my teeth and shut my eyes, trying to hold in my anger but it just came bursting out of me, "Shut the fuck up, you'd best give me that Master Ball... or horrible things will happen to you..." I yelled, almost losing my mind, I was so furious that I wasn't even thinking properly anymore.
"Oh? I'm pretty sure you really don't want to fight me..." he responded, a sinister smirk on his face as his green iris burned into my golden ones.
"Trust me Aiiran... this won't be much of a fight now... I've changed so much since that day back at Nighthawk..." I said, preparing my Katana for a strike from Aiiran.
"Changed? You still killed my father in the past, you can never change that, now... your death will bring good things to my life, the resurrection of my father" Aiiran responded, pulling out his two pistols, this time he must have wanted to make this fight quick.
"Wait... who was it that promised you that??" I demanded.
"Lucifer himself, I can tell you he's very pissed that Litira betrayed him back then... he believes it is you who corrupted her. Looks like you have ruined so much in your life... I think it's time to end you" he said, pointing his pistol at me and giving out a small chuckle.
"Wait!" I yelled, "I KNOW Lucifer is not going to keep his end of the bargain on that, he's going to use you and dispose of you once you become weak, I guarantee you that right now!"
"How would you know? Because you helped him save your... sister? Believe me Jherek... or Seppachu, he knew it was you the entire time, but it was too bad he did not know that you were not a full Drone, you did not serve the Anriu but you possessed the abilities... but I guess even Pokemon as powerful as Lucifer can make mistakes too" Aiiran said.
"Aiiran, listen to me, Lucifer will not bring your father back from the dead, I assure you that, the best thing for you to do now is really redeem yourself, join me Aiiran, join me and let's fight to save our world!" I yelled.
"Save our world? This world will be a better place when the Anriu controls it!"
"You don't understand Aiiran, the entire Anriu does not understand, if they take control of Earth, all of the feuding realms, even the ones who are not able to make contact with us, will merge into one... huge... realm, this will only bring chaos... chaos!!" I explained with a firm tone.
"...Liar!!" he yelled as he began firing his pistols at me, creating so much chaotic noise inside of this small cave. Quickly and without thinking, I quickly sheathed my Katana and charged up my Darkline and somehow created a shield, blocking all of the bullets.
Aiiran's pistols suddenly stopped firing after their failed attempts with making contact with my body, he pulled the triggers several times with only the sound of clicking escaping them.
"I guess I used too many bullets from that last encounter with that Nidoqueen... no matter, I'll defeat you anyways" Aiiran muttered, pulling out the 2 Katanas he had strapped to his belt and pointed them towards me just like how he did at Nighthawk Outpost.
"Hehe... really... I have changed a lot from the last time we encountered each other... don't underestimate me" I said as I charged up my Darkline and blasted it straight from my arms straight towards Aiiran who somehow did the "Splits" and barely dodged it and for some reason, he sheathed his swords again before he even had a chance to use them, "What the fuck...?" I said to myself as Aiiran jumped back up like an Acrobat and fired 2 blasts of Darkline towards me in a jabbing fashion, he must have mastered Darkline before me, he was shooting them out just by a punch in the right direction,
"If you want a Darkline battle, you got it!" he yelled as I dove out of the way and fired 1 Darkline at him before I caught myself with my hands towards the floor which he somehow caught and threw right back towards me. To block this strike, I simply punched it as it flew towards me, pretty much charging myself up a bit as it disintegrated into a black mist all over the place.
Aiiran jumped up and jerked both of his legs in my direction, straightening up his body in mid-air like he was laying down on a bed. A huge blast of Darkline flew straight from his feet right towards me. I grunted as I charged up my Darkline to my right arm and punched the huge blast of energy, but it was not enough, this strike was too powerful for me to do that and I just ended up flying towards the wall, ramming against it full force as I let out a loud yelp of pain.
Recovering myself, I pulled out my Katana and pointed it at him, panting softly as I shut my left eye tightly in pain, "Got ya..." he muttered, pulling out his two Katana once more and pointing them towards me, "Come..." I whispered, he oddly obeyed and charged towards me, his eyes wide open and his pupils shrinking as he gave out a battle cry with me just waiting there for him to get to me and once he did, I kneeled down as he swung his right Katana horizontally then as I slashed mine upwards, he quickly evaded it by sliding to the right, then he rammed both Katanas downward towards me. I quickly jumped out of the way, spiraling and flipping in mid-air until I barely landed correctly on the ground. I looked back up as I got my balance back, just barely realizing that Aiiran was already charging towards me with both of his Katanas pointing upward as his arms pointed up behind him as well with his back arched forward and an evil look in his eyes.
I jerked my left hand towards and out came a Darkline which flew towards Aiiran who quickly changed his course and slid to the right, just barely getting me with a double horizontal swing from both Katanas.
"So... you are identified as Seppachu Shitokiiri now... that is definitely a surprise, you must have an identity crisis or something..." Aiiran muttered when he once again sheathed his swords, then suddenly, the Third Eye appeared on his forehead and his pale skin began to turn black as his hair and eyes turned dark red, "I'm not wasting any time trying to see how good you are this time... I'm ending this now!" he yelled as he pointed both of his hands at me, showing his palms as if he was trying to escape an invisible box, "Now..." he said, "... I never wanted to become part of the Anriu... but if it is to bring back my family... then so be it!!" he suddenly yelled as an eyeball appeared on each of his palms.
"What... what is that?!" I yelled, feeling a wave of fear wash over me as he let out a sinister chuckle, "I'm guessing Lucifer never unleashed all of the Anriu Eyes of Power near you..." Aiiran muttered.
"Yes he did, but only a 4th eye on his paw..." I responded.
"The 4th Eye... how about the 8 Eyes of the Anriu?!" Aiiran maniacally yelled as eyes began to appear all over his exposed chest and his face cheeks, one right in the middle of his chest, one on the left side, one on the right side, 2 on his cheeks, and 2 on his palms. I gasped at this sudden transformation, 8 Eyes, and I thought the Third Eye was bad, I couldn't even begin to imagine how bad this is going to be.
"I will do anything to get my family back... even if I will lose myself forever upon this transformation!" he yelled and I could tell exactly what he meant, it seemed that every second since all 8 Eyes were activated, Aiiran was becoming weaker.
"Rot in hell..." he whispered as he jerked both of his palms towards me, sudden sparks began to pop and crack, then suddenly a red line pointed right at my forehead just like a certain type of Sniper rifle aimer.
I quickly jumped out of the way as the sparking and popping grew louder, then suddenly the area where the red line was pointing, the entire area exploded, "In the name of all things good, what was that?!" I yelled as he pointed his palms towards me again which made me instinctively move out of the way as the sparking and popping continued, "Fireline, the Anriu's special Darkline!" he yelled as I ducked right at the last second when the explosion occurred.
I instantly understood what he meant, it must be something about how different realms have different Darkline specials, Guardians must have Bloodline, Anriu have Fireline, and it is currently unknown what X'rivva have, but I guess I won't find out for a while since I have not met any X'rivva Lucario yet.
As the rocks and dust from the explosion all gently bounced on the ground, a bit of steam rose from Aiiran's palms, we both stood there for a few moments, waiting for one of us to strike, but after a while I took the lead and attacked him. I used my Flamethrower against him, he used his Darkline to deflect it then once again tried Fireline, but before he had a chance to power it up, I jumped in, shoved his arms out of my way, and charged up a ball of Darkline in my right hand, ramming it right into Aiiran's face. He screamed in pain as he flew across the cave and out of the exit, finally stopping when his entire body ran into a tree, causing tiny leaves to fall down all over him.
Right then, all 8 of his eyes closed, plus the 2 eyes which were actually natural to a human, and his skin and hair reverted back to its original color, I must have knocked him out. As I walked outside of the cave and towards Aiiran, still unconscious, I pointed my Katana right between his eyes and lifted it up to slash down on his body, but once my Katana neared his flesh, I stopped.
"No... he's just a poor, confused soul, and it is my fault his life is ruined..." I said as I slowly sheathed my Katana and pulled the Master Ball off of his belt, threw it up and watched Tira reappear from a bright red beam that came out as the ball opened up.
She appeared in a fetal position until she figure out that she was back outside, she looked all around until she saw me standing behind her, "Jherek, you saved me!!" she squealed as she ran towards me and buried her face in my black robe.
This reminded me of Litira so much that it wasn't even funny, it almost made me cry, "I'm... I'm just overwhelmed by emotions because I can't believe you would go through all of this to save me... I think you deserve this" Tira said, taking off the necklace and gently putting it in my hand.
It suddenly began to glow a bright golden color which caused a chain reaction, my entire body was now glowing, the robe, the Katana, everything. Tira backed off and gasped in amazement as I suddenly was lifted off of the ground, a bright golden beam shooting up into the heavens.
Then, the original Seppachu Shitokiiri appeared before me, floating up in the sky just like I was, "You have completed your quest... Seppachu Shitokiiri... now for your reward..." he said as he summoned a crystal ball and showed me Litira floating in the spirit world, happy and free in an environment full of gray mist.
"You have one person to summon... I believe it will be Litira?"
I looked back at Litira, floating as a ghost, "...but be warned, this comes with a price..." he suddenly started, catching my attention instantly, "If this Sneasel, Litira, will be resurrected, we must sacrifice the Sneasel who gave you the necklace... Tira..."
Feeling a wave of despair, I was struck hard and was frozen in place, "You mean... Tira will die?" I asked.
"Correct..."
I looked down at Tira who looked up at me, a cute smile on her face as the golden beam shined in her eyes then I looked back at Litira, so happy and free. I could not bear the tension, it was not fair that Tira had to die to bring back Litira, but I wanted to be with Litira so badly I just could not choose. What kind of good guy will I be if I sacrificed an innocent life just for my own personal gain?
"I have made my decision..." I sadly whispered.
"Aahh, so I will summon Litira right away..."
"No... I do not want you to summon Litira..." I said.
"What... but..."
"I said I have made my decision... I can't sacrifice a life just to bring back someone I love... it's not right... besides, Litira is happy where she is, she is in a peaceful place... far away from the Anti-Pokemon war where she belongs, no, I'll tell you what though, give this resurrection to someone who really deserves it, the resurrection of Aiiran's father..."
Seppachu looked at me, seemingly moved by my words, "You... are a definite Sentinel... your righteous words have touched me... and you have passed the test" he said.
"...what test?"
"I knew you could do it my boy, you have chosen what is right over temptation... I am very proud of you... you remind me of myself when I became a Sentinel, I had lost a loved one as well, and the Sentinel before me promised me that he would resurrect her if I were to get the necklace... and once I got it he told me that he would have to kill one Pokemon who was her species to commence with the resurrecting... I denied it... congratulations Jherek... no... congratulations Seppachu Shitokiiri... may you forever be known by that title... and now... I take my leave, and one more thing... Aiiran's father shall be resurrected in Miir Cyraa once you finally arrive... good evening" he said as he suddenly vanished into a golden mist when I finally put the necklace on which caused my decent back to the ground where Tira waited for me, that is when my Sentinel ability finally wore off and I went back to plain white and dark orange.
"That was amazing, did you just turn into a true Sentinel, Seppachu?" she asked.
I guess it was true, everyone now knows me a Seppachu Shitokiiri.
"Yes I have..." I said as I looked back at Aiiran, "Um... Seppachu... can I ask you a favor?" she asked me, I responded positively, "I've never really gone off on a real adventure... can I please come with you?"
"Haha, definitely" I responded, my words making her eyes twinkle as she held both of her paws in front of her with a big smile on her face, "Thank you so much!" she squealed, hugging me once more.
"So... come on, let's go!" Tira eagerly begged me, but I was too caught up in sadness for Aiiran, he was not a bad guy, he was a man who seemed to have lost everything, "We can't leave him here..." I said, walking over to his unconscious body.
"Uh... sure we can, he tried to kill you!"
"No... he's not the bad guy, he's just the guy who was caught up in a bunch of hell, I bet if his life wasn't so bad, he would have been a great Pokemon Defender, but now I have given him his father back, but we must get him to Miir Cyraa as quickly as possible because I'm pretty sure he will not believe us" I said as I picked him up and put both of his arms over my shoulders, the rest of his body was up against my back and his feet touched the ground.
"Wow... that's really nice of you, treating your enemies like you allies" Tira said as we began to leave the area around Werment Village, "Well... you know, there is a chance he will become good, and I want to be this man's ally in the future" I responded, suddenly thinking about Werment Village and the danger that was coming to them.
"Wait here..." I said to Tira, taking Aiiran off of my back, "I'll be right back!" I yelled as I dashed off back to Werment Village to tell them all to evacuate before the incoming danger... whatever it could have been... arrives.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"So, Seppachu..." Tira started as we continued on our way to Miir Cyraa, "Did you come along just for the necklace or to help me out?"
"Why of course I came for you..." I said, "I can't run away from a female in trouble"
"Haha... stop that noble act, you and I both know that it was only the necklace you are after!" she teased me as she began to giggle, "That's not true, take it back!" I yelled with an annoyed tone in my voice, "Seppachu and that necklace, sitting in a tree..."
"Oh, do NOT start that up!" I yelled as Tira playfully ran forward with me right behind her and with Aiiran right on my back, "You can't catch me-e-e-e-e" Tira sang in a sing-song voice.
"Come back here!" I yelled, trying not to laugh as we ran off passed the road, the road to Miir Cyraa.

"A Sentinel... and where is Ti..."

"You don't understand Aiiran, the entire Anriu does not understand, if they take control of Earth, all of the feuding realms, even the ones who are not able to make contact with us, will merge into one... huge... realm, this will only bring chaos... chaos!!" I explained with a firm tone.

"So... you are identified as Seppachu Shitokiiri now... that is definitely a surprise, you must have an identity crisis or something..." Aiiran muttered when he once again sheathed his swords, then suddenly, the Third Eye appeared on his forehead and his pale skin began to turn black as his hair and eyes turned dark red, "I'm not wasting any time trying to see how good you are this time... I'm ending this now!" he yelled as he pointed both of his hands at me, showing his palms as if he was trying to escape an invisible box, "Now..." he said, "...
"Wait here..." I said to Tira, taking Aiiran off of my back, "I'll be right back!" I yelled as I dashed off back to Werment Village to tell them all to evacuate before the incoming danger... whatever it could have been... arrives.
