Note: This is not proofread because A: No time and B: it is 1:30 in the morning and I am super tired so I am uploading this and going straight to bed.


Ash and Dante arrived at the hotel later than expected, Ash opened his door, climbed onto his bed, and rested there for the remainder of the evening. Today had already been exciting enough, he didn't think he could handle anymore today. Brock and the others went to go see Professor Oak and hear more about the translator. Ash just sat in his room very droopy and his head began to feel heavy. To get rid of this, he went to sleep seeing if these were symptoms of not getting enough sleep. (I hate irony. When I wrote about a thunderstorm, a thunderstorm makes it unable for me to access my account at my house. When I write about Ash's head feeling heavy, my head suddenly feels like I am lifting a bowling ball for a head. Let me get a good night's sleep and I will try and finish this tomorrow afternoon.)


At Professor Rowan's lab, the group hears the whole story about the ground-breaking new device. (He explained it with a bunch of scientific mumbo-jumbo and even I didn't understand him. So, I will skip that, you don't need to know how it works because who needs it? Unless they are going to steal it. Please don't steal the translator, they worked real hard on it. Back to story.) "... So you see, that is how the translator works." Oak explained. The group looked at him glares as if to say, "WHAT?!?" Professor Oak continued, "I have created some more prototypes of the first device for your pokemon. One for Pikachu, another for Staravia, one for you Dante, and Claire, seems like you already own one, so that is it." Eevee looked angrily at the Professor as he forgot her. "And how could I forget the beautiful Eevee. You need to speak up more so people can know you are around. Sorry Brock & Dawn, I don't have any other prototypes of the 2nd version. But at least you can hear your own pokemon." He said with a smile as he pushed them out the door. "Sorry to rush you, but I have to get back to my research."


On the way back, Dawn received a call from her mom, who was on business in the Sinnoh region. "That's great mom, where in Sinnoh?" Dawn asked excited that she may be able to see her mom again. "Well, I on Route 216 heading towards Sandgem Town." The voice told Dawn from the other line. "OMG, that is right near Twinleaf Town! I'm coming to meet you." Dawn screamed as she hung up on her mom and began to run with Buneary and Piplup towards Route 216. Brock and the others wanted to say good-bye, but she was already gone. The rest of the group walked back to the hotel, which, as they did so, there was an unearthly calm now that Dawn and Ash were gone.


Ash drifted into a deep sleep and during this, he had a very bizarre dream. He was trapped in a room full of people he knew his whole life. Some were close friends, some were people he hadn't seen since he left Pallet Town so many years ago. (Except for in Pokemon world where you never seem to age at all except for your voice. I mean, did they really need to keep the original voice of Ash as long as they did. He began to sound like Ash gargling nails as he tried to talk. I could also say it sounded like Ash after spending a full, solid month in a hippie compound. I'm getting side-tracked, back to the story.) After a minute of Ash staring at his many visitors, he tried to get up and mingle with them, but he couldn't move his muscles. Ash looked over at his mom smiling because he hadn't visited her in a very long time. He wanted to show her how well he was doing, being a father and all. But he didn't know if she would accept Jade as his lover.


Before anything else happened, Ash awoke from his dream to find Vair standing over him anxious for him to get up and do something. "Daddy, why won't you get up and play with me?" Vair asked as he was getting restless. "We can go to the park, gym, we can go training, what do you want to do? Ajay and Pikachu are already at the gym, if you want to go there." Vair questioned Ash as Ash was still trying to open his eyes. As Ash attempted to remove himself from his bed, he fell right back down as he found his head throbbing. "Vair, get mommy, I need her. It would be nice if you went to get the rest of the gang." Ash said as he buried his head back into his pillow. Vair began to see Ash's pain and ran to get his mom. (Ash didn't get sick from Dante last night, this is not AIDS, if you are asking, probably just a normal cold. Get your head out of the gutter, but I guess I'm not helping you much.)


He ran down to the lobby to find his mom as fast as he could. He hated seeing his dad like this. Looking around, he finally found her eating her complimentary breakfast with the rest of the gang. After running up to the table, he frantically screamed "Mommy, Daddy needs you. He is stuck in his bed and says he needs your help." Vair was prying Jade out of the seat as he told her this. "Ash is stuck in his bed, I'll help." Staravia said as she quickly got out of her chair and began running upstairs. Not too far behind her was Dante. He couldn't help but feel overpowering feelings for Ash and he wanted to wait and see what Ash decided. Jade was overwhelmed by the sudden display that was going on in front of her. I have to help Ash and get to him before the others" she thought as she chased them up the stairs.


"Well looks like it is only Me, Claire, Akuti, and Eevee." Brock said as he looked around the now half-empty table. "Sorry Brock, but I have to help Ash in his time of misery. I can't sit and watch a friend suffer when I know there is something I can do to help." Claire added as she too left the table and darted upstairs. "Ok, still, I have Eevee." Brock said almost like he was trying to hard to be optimistic. His girlfriend was now trying to nurse Ash back to his normal state of heath when only a couple days ago, she had kissed him in open public. "I'm sorry, but I need to help Ash. He has helped me so many times throughout the years that to not help him now would be an insult to me and his kind nature. Sorry to leave you here Brock." Eevee told Brock as she took the elevator up to his room instead of the stairs. "Phef, who needs them. You'll never desert me like they did, would you Akuti?" Brock asked after scooping up the unsuspecting bird. Akuti began to squirm and eventually broke free of his grip. Brock watched as she feverishly tried to walk, or in her case crawl, up the stairs. Brock couldn't help but feel left out.


"Hurry mommy, daddy's in here." Vair said as he led her into the room. Jade was shoved in and looked at Ash who was still lying in the same position. Jade rushed to his bedside easily telling Ash really was sick. "Ash, what's wrong?" Jade asked kindly. "Well, my..." Ash tried to say as he was cut off by Staravia and Claire screaming "Ashwhat'swrongcanIhelpyou?!? She was rambling so fast that all the sentences wove together. She then flew next to Ash and started pet his hair. "Mom, why don't you get Ash a super potion? That should fix him right up." Vair said smiling proudly thinking that he came up with a solution to help Ash. "Well Vair, that won't work becau..." Jade tried to answer Vair, but got interrupted by Dante galloping into the room. He then came up to Ash and after making room for himself, just stared into his eyes with undying affection. Dante was concerned for Ash, but was still shy and wouldn't open his mouth in public. "Anyway, Vair, Ash can't use a super potion on himself because they don't work on humans. Only pokemon, like us." Jade explained to Vair. "Hey, I called the pokecenter and they said that they have the medicine I need. Can y..." Ash tried saying as Claire charged in the room. "Ash, do you need my help?" She asked. She may be with Brock, but that doesn't mean she has no feelings for Ash. "Well, I do need someone to get the medicine? Can you g..." Ash said as he was once again interrupted. "I'll go for you." Everyone in the room now announced.


With that, they were off and Ash was all alone. "I didn't want them all to go, now what am I going to do?" Ash asked himself. Almost immediately, Eevee jumped up onto the bed and purred as she crept up to Ash. She started to lick his nose as a playful gesture. "Aww, Eevee. Aren't you cute? Hey, why don't you talk? You can now." He said with a smile on his face. "I.. I don't like to talk. I only want to talk to people I know, like you." Eevee said as she cuddled up next to his chest. "Well, you won't get over your fear of talking if you don't try it. How else do you get to know a person other than by talking with them? I know we managed to become friends without talking, but talking helps a lot. You don't even talk to Jade or Vair. When was the last time you had a conversation with someone that wasn't right now?" Ash asked. He couldn't help but feel a little sorry for Eevee. "Well, it was with Dante the other day. He was asking about you and Staravia was asleep so I had to answer him. He asked how you were and what kind of person were you." Eevee replied.


"Well, what did you tell him?" Ash asked anxious to hear her answer. "I told him, I told him that you were the nicest trainer a pokemon could have and that he is lucky that he was found by you." Eevee mumbled as she blushed profoundly. "O no, does Eevee love me too? I can't take much more of this." Ash thought to himself. "Wow Eevee, all this time and that is what you think of me. You are a great friend." Ash said as he tried to be friendly while also avoiding Eevee's feelings. "Thank you. Me and him got to talking and after he had calmed down from an anger attack because of his 'condition', we shared a deep conversation which I could never dream of me telling all my personal information to a complete stranger. He seemed really interested in both you, and me. After he went searching for Miss Right (ha, Miss Right,) he was much more calm and it seemed that whoever he found was the right one for him." Eevee said. "Wait, she doesn't know about Dante and me, good." Ash thought. "Well, I need to go to sleep, you mind accompanying me?" Ash asked as he began to rub her fur. Eevee purred as she felt his hand running down her body. "Sure, what are friends for?" she laughed as she kissed him on the cheek and turned off the light.

(Flashback)

"Now you will take good care of my Eevee, right Ash?" Bill asked as he handed his Eevee over to Ash. "I've only had her for a few days and I want to see what evolution she will be this time. I already have Joltean. You take special care of her." Bill said as he kissed his newest pokemon on the forehead. "You be good now for uncle Ash." Bill said as he waved and walked out the door. Eevee tried to jump out of Ash's hands. "Woah, you're a little pistol, aren't cha. Aren't cha?" Ash said as he petted her short, soft fur. Eevee purred for a while, but realized who was petting her and jumped out of Ash's grip and hid in a corner. "Eevee, come here. I'm not going to hurt you. I just want to talk to you. Come here." Ash said as he sat down on a couch and motioned for her to join him on his lap. She was reluctant, but she also felt a strange connection in his voice. She felt safe with him. She jumped onto his lap as he began to pet her again. "O Eevee, I haven't introduced you to Pikachu yet, have I. Come out here Pikachu." Ash yelled. Eevee tried to go back to her corner, but Pikachu was standing in her way. He went up to her and held out his hand. She looked at it and after a couple seconds, blew by him out the door he had left wide open.


"Eevee, come back." Ash yelled as he searched for her around the town. After many hours of searching, Ash decided to call it a day and would return to look for her in the morning. As he and Pikachu were walking back, they heard screaming and crying coming from behind the bushes. They ran over to see Eevee being kidnapped by a group of wild Growlithes. Ash didn't know what to do, but Pikachu did. He thought on his feet and used quick attack to knock down the Growlithe carrying Eevee. As she fell, Ash caught her and carried her away from the ensuing battle. Pikachu began to focus all his energy into his cheeks. "Wow, when did he learn that?" Ash asked as he watched from the sidelines with Eevee clinging onto him for dear life. When a Growlithe tried to attack Pikachu, Pikachu released all his energy into a massive thunderbolt that sent all the Growlithes either knocked out cold or running away in fear.


"Pikachu, how did you do that?" Ash asked as he and Pikachu carried Eevee home. "Pika Pi. Pikachu Pikachu Pi Pika." Pikachu answered quite proud of himself. "Yeah, well anyway good job today. I hope to see that thunderbolt in our next gym battle." Ash smiled as they reached the house. Bill was already there pacing back and forth not knowing what to do. "Where have you been? I called you like a thousand times." "Well, we were playing hide and go seek and it took Pikachu a while to find Eevee. Also, I turned my pokedex off in case someone did call so I wouldn't be caught. That is why we are late and why I didn't answer the phone." Ash said lieing through his teeth. "Well, if there's no harm done. Ok, hand me my Eevee now." Bill said with outstretched arms. Eevee knew that Bill was trying to take her back, and she still wanted to be with Ash and Pikachu. She hissed at Bill and hugged Ash closer. "Well, I can see when I'm not wanted. Ok Ash, since you probably brainwashed my poor little Eevee into picking you over me, you should keep her. You must care about her a lot and I wouldn't trust her with anyone but you." Bill said. "Good night Ash and remember, treat her right."

(End of Flashback)

After the dream Eevee had, she began to see just how much Ash cared for her and always keep her protected. She knew she was in the hands of a loving trainer. Just then, a bright light began to surround her and she began to lift into the air. "What's going on?" She screamed. "Well, you are evolving silly, you should know this by now. Since this is still daytime and you evolved because you found a deep connection with someone, you will evolve into Espeon." A mysterious voice rang out as Eevee began to notice her body changing rapidly. "Why isn't this hurting me?" Eevee asked as she could tell that at any other time, this would hurt like hell. "You are in a sealed off zone that only your physical traits and brain are sent. Our conversation will not be heard out there in the real world. "Amazing." Eevee, I mean Espeon said as she began to walk around in her new body. "Ok, Espeon, you are ready to go back. Don't let him get away." The mysterious voice whispered as she Espeon returned to the real world.


When Ash woke up, he didn't see Eevee around. He witnessed the new and improved Espeon and not forgetting their conversation over with her. "Hey Espeon, you look gorgeous, but I already have a family." Ash said as he tried to reason with her. "That's ok, I don't like you in that way. I used to, but not anymore. I think I am actually in love with Pikachu. Ever since that night we met, I knew he would protect me, which he did. I am going to conquer my fears and tell him how I feel." Espeon said as she laughed at the idea of her and Ash. She liked him, but not in that way anymore.


Before anything else could happen, Dante rushed into the room with a bag full of medicine. "Thank you Dante, you really are a compassionate guy and you deserve a gift. Ash grabbed a small package underneath his bed and handed it to Dante. "I was going to give this to the winner, but I don't know if you will want it. It is a set of earrings." Ash said as Dante opened the box. "Aaaaaw Ash, you didn't have to do this for me. I'm going to put this on right now." He inserted the earring into his ear and wore it on his left ear. "I love it, and I also love..." Dante stopped as he saw Espeon in the room. "Woah, when did Eevee evolve?" He asked. "Only a few hours, now has Pikachu returned back from the gym?" Ash asked. "Yes, they just got back and are heading up the stairs. Espeon then darted for the door and headed down the stairs.


"Well, she is really happy to hear that, and I am really happy to be here with you." Dante teased. "Hey, that was one time and will always be the only time that happened." Ash said as he got angry. "Never speak of it again." Ash yelled. "Never speak of what again?" the rest of the girls chimed in as they all filled his once quiet, private room. "Oh nothing, right Dante?" Ash asked. "Right Ash." Dante fired back at once. "Well then, here you go, hope you feel better." The girls said. They said different versions of this, but still had the same meaning. "Well, with this much medicine, I can be healthy for at least a good year or two." Ash laughed as he sat there and watched all of them gaze at him. He knew that they all loved him, but there was only one gal for him. He would never leave Jade as long as he lives.
