The Question
"Pikachu, Pikachu! Wait up." Espeon yelled as she chased Pikachu down the stairs. "What is it Eev... Espeon? When did you evolve? You look gorgeous!" Pikachu said as he looked up and down at her magnificent figure. "Thank you." She blushed and giggled as she kept on going. "Well, I evolved a couple hours ago. Do you like the new me?" She asked as she did a quick turn around. Pikachu couldn't stop staring as he watched her show off her new body. "I.... I.... I love it. You are a gem." "O stop, silly, you are too kind." She blushed as she tried to cover up her rosy red cheeks. "Well, you look good too. Working out has been going great for you." "O, it's nothing. You are the one who is ravishing. Would you like to go out with me sometime?" Pikachu blurted as he couldn't hold back his feelings anymore. "YES!" Espeon jumped with excitement lunged at Pikachu. Pikachu had to almost dive as he caught her in his outstretched arms. Having just gotten back from working out, he was in intense pain, but he didn't care. He was lost in the moment holding his new girlfriend in his arms. He carried her all the way up the steps into Ash's room.
"O my God! We are dating! I LOVE YOU ESPEON!" He screamed as he set her on the bed next to Ash. "Let's do something today, just the two of us." Pikachu said as he jumped on top of her. "Whadya say? How about we go out to eat. Ash, where is a good place to eat?" He asked rolling off her and laying down holding her in his arms. She felt exhilarated and she couldn't believe that this was actually happening. She dreamed about moments like this, but she never felt this good. She couldn't have prepared herself for such a joyous occasion like this. "Well, me and Jade found a really nice place last week. It is called the Poke Diner (not creative, but I had to keep moving). Ask for Penelope when you are there. She is the best waitress you will ever have." Ash said as he remembered his night there.
Jade happened to wake up at this exact moment. "What, where are we going." She asked as she still was trying to wake up. "Well, Pikachu and his new girlfriend are going out to eat at the Poke Diner." Ash said as he felt happy for his best friend. Now they both had great gals who were perfect for each other. "Pikachu has a girlfriend, who?" She asked as she still couldn't see properly. Espeon laughed as she tried to answer. She just couldn't get herself to stop laughing long enough to answer. "Eevee, is that you? Woah, Eevee, you evolved. Look at you. You're, you're extravagant. (I'm trying to use different words to describe her every time, but am finding it hard to do so. O well, you know she is pretty, that's all I need to say.) "Don't stop. Your making me blush." She giggled. No matter how many times she heard it, she couldn't help but laugh and blush insanely.
"Yeah, ok then. The Poke Diner sounds great. How 'bout it Espeon, would you like that?" Pikachu asked as he looked over at Espeon. "I would LOVE that. When do you want to go?" She asked almost hoping he would say right now. "I want to go as soon as possible, but I also want to linger on how I just bagged the greatest girl in all of Sinnoh. Heck, the greatest girl EVER!" He screamed as he bounced with happiness. "Ok, how about in 2 hours. I have to get ready and I want to look my best for you pretty boy." She poked Pikachu's nose as she pried Jade out of bed and led her into Espeon's room.
"Hey Ash, I want to ask you something. I have never been good with girls and since they all seem to flock to you, I want you to help me. You know a few moves, things I can say. I need your help with Espeon. She is the catch of a lifetime and I want to make it last forever. Hey, when are you ever going to ask Jade to marry you? You guys already have a kid and Vair sees you as a dad." "I guess I never really thought about it. Am I ready? Better yet, is she ready? What do you think?" Ash asked. If he was going to talk about this with anyone, he would talk about it with his best friend. "Totally, if I didn't know any better, I would say you guys were already married. (I can't think of another word other than 'already') if I were you, I would of done it a long time ago. She loves you so much, why haven't you yet?"
"You know what? I'll do it! Hey, do you want to double date? I could help you and I could ask Jade to marry me. I will wait until you have had a nice time and I will stay out of the way the whole time just adding some tips every now and then." Ash asked. "Yeah sure, but don't you need a ring?" Pikachu added. "I think so, let's go to the pokemart to go look for a ring. The girls will be a while so we have some time. Plus, I can give you some pointers as I guess Jade is doing the same with Espeon. Let's go see them." Ash said as he began searching through his wallet for some money. "Uh-oh, I don't think I have enough money. I need to raise some money in the next hour or I won't be able to ask her. What will I do?" Ash asked himself as he frantically searched throughout the room for more cash. After digging through everything in the room, he only was able to turn up 2 dollars and 63 cents. "What am I going to do?" Ash yelled out. "Well, I have some loose change, here's 10 bucks. That's all I can afford to give up right now, I'm sorry. How much are you behind now?" Pikachu asked as he handed the money over to Ash. "Let's see, for a semi-decent ring, 50 bucks. I don't know what I'm going to do. Wonder what Brock has." Ash said as he ran into Brock's room.
"Hey Brock, I really need you right now. Do you have any money I can borrow?" Ash asked desperately. "O Ash, I just spent the last of it, I need to make some more. When are we ever going to go back to the journey?" Brock asked as that was his only way of making money. "Well, I don't know, it may be a while. I think I'm going to ask Jade to marry me." He said as you can here the excitement in his voice. "Ash, I'm so happy for you, where's the ring?" Brock asked as he ran up to see it up close. "Well, that's why I'm asking for your help. I need some money to get a ring." Ash mumbled. "Hey, let's go down there and see what we can do?" Brock said as he began to walk out the room. "Let me go check in with the girls before we go, we will only have an hour." Ash replied as he walked into the hallway. As he opened the door to the girls' door, he saw Jade helping Espeon into a beautiful dress. He waited till she was fully dressed and then walked into the room. "Hey Jade, me, Pikachu and Brock are going to go out for an hour, but Pikachu invited us to go with him and Espeon on their date. What do you say?" Ash asked as he was hindering on her answer. "Well, I was going to tell you that Espeon also invited us so, I am going to get changed here in a bit and let's just meet at the restaurant in a hour and a half." She said as she was still preoccupied with getting Espeon perfect. "Sure, see you there then." Ash answered as he walked out of the room to the awaiting boys. "Let's go." He said and with that, they were on their way to the pokemart.
When they arrived, they had to take a map to find what floor rings and jewelry would be on. After finding out it was floor 24, they stepped into the elevator. The elevator began to lift as they slowly ascended upwards to the 24th floor. "HELP!" Pikachu yelled as he jumped into Ash's arms. "Don't be afraid little guy, it's just an elevator. It's like taking stairs to go up higher, but instead, you don't have to actually move. It is used by paraplegics who physically can't move upstairs, if you are carrying stuff that needs to go upstairs but would be too much of a hassle to use the stairs, and in this case, when you have to go up to a really high floor that will drain all your energy if you take the stairs. It helps us, it won't hurt us." Ash explained as the elevator stopped. "Here we are, the Jewelry section." Brock said as he stepped out of the elevator to the enormous room that was laid out in front of him. Someone could easily get lost in here. Brock looked up to see signs pointing to the different parts of the room. "Necklaces, no. Bracelets, no. Ahh, rings, this way." Ash and Pikachu, who now was out of Ash's hands trying to get back his manliness, followed Brock as he led them to the rings.
"Excuse me, miss, can we have some help?" Brock asked as the clerk turned around. "Penelope?" Ash asked as recognized his waitress from the Poke Diner. "Ash, is that you? What brings you here? Are you getting Jade a ring?" She asked with excitement. "Yeah, how's come you aren't working at the Poke Diner anymore?" Ash asked as he wanted Pikachu to have her as a waitress. "I do, my shift there is mornings from 6am-11am, here from 2pm-6pm, and the Poke Diner from 6:30pm-9pm, which means I have to run from here in about 30 minutes to get there in time. It is very busy, but I don't mind. So, what type of ring are we looking at here?" She asked remembering why Ash was here in the first place. "Well, actually, I'm here to buy a wedding ring." Ash mumbled hoping she wouldn't make too much of a fuss about it. He was surely disappointed. "A WEDDING RING, YOU'RE GOING TO ASK HER TO MARRY YOU! O MY GOD." She screamed as she was filled with joy for both him and Jade. "Where are you going to ask her?" Penelope asked as she wanted to know every little detail. "Well, I was thinking of doing it over at the Poke Diner tonight. We are going there in an hour which means you will be there, right?" Ash said as he looked around at the rings.
"Awesome, ok, we have to do this fast because my shift ends really soon. Here's one." She said as she showed him a ring. "No, not that one." Ash said as he still browsed around. "This one looks nice, how about it." She asked as she showed him another ring with a huge rock. "Let's be reasonable here, what about that one?" Ash asked as he pointed to the perfect ring. "This one? Yes, that's an Amethyst ring." It was a beautiful golden ring with 2 gorgeous amethyst (purple) stones with diamond accents which when they were all placed together, made a heart. I don't know much about html so I had to resort to this.) "It is on sale for 129.99 back from 259.99. Would you want this one?" "It's perfect, wait one second." Ash searched through his wallet again, but came up sad. "I only have 107." Ash said as he looked back up at Penelope. "Well, here's what I'll do. I'll give you my 20 employee discount. Ok? This is what I owe you from that monstrous tip you left." She giggled as she started ringing up the item. (I didn't want to say 'ringing up the ring' that just sounds stupid.) "Thank you so much!" Ash yelled as he reached over the counter and gave Penelope a big hug. "Don... Don't mention it." She stuttered as she felt a surge of happiness flow through her. "Why did it have to be Jade and not me? He's simply perfect." She thought as she lost herself in his arms.
"Ok, let's hurry back to the hotel so we can get ready. I, we, have to look sharp for our dates tonight. Right Pikachu?" Ash winked as they ran to the stairs. They didn't care how many flights it was because they had only one thing on their minds, their girls. Jade, Espeon, Claire; what did they do to get such wonderful girls. When they got outside, panting from the run, Brock kept going over to the gym to get Claire. All he wanted to do was be with her at that moment. After reaching his destination, he found Claire bench-pressing with Ajay.
"Hey guys, and how's my #1 girl?" Brock asked as he bent down and kissed her. "Jus... Just fine, thank you." She panted as she got up. "Why are you here? I told you I'll be awhile." She said as she now spotted Ajay as he lifted the enormous bar. "Well, I have some great news. Ash is going to ask Jade to marry him!" Brock yelled as he hugged Claire from the excitement. Ajay flinched at the news and almost dropped the bar on his head. "Woah, Ajay. Are you ok?" Claire asked as she felt it was her fault because she let go of the bar. "Yeah, I'm fine." Ajay said as he lifted the bar back on the rack. "Ash is going to marry Jade?" Ajay sunk as his dreams of being with Jade were being crushed. "Yeah, tonight. He got the ring and everything. I ran straight over here to tell you guys. I also wanted to be with my girl on this joyous occasion. What's wrong Claire?" Brock asked as he saw tears building in her eyes. "It's just so wonderful. I'm so happy for them." She said as she wiped the tears from her eyes. She couldn't tell Brock she still had feelings for Ash. "Well, I'll leave you two alone now. I got to go help Ash. MY BEST FRIEND IS GETTING ENGAGED! YAHOO!" Brock screamed as he ran out the door. Ajay and Claire just sat there sulking over how they will never be with Ash/Jade.
"Hey Espeon? How are you feeling? You should be jumping off the walls with excitement." Jade asked. "I'm feeling good, for now. How am I supposed to know what to say? I don't want to mess this up. I fell in love with him ever since the day he saved me. Now that the day finally comes, I don't want to ruin it. It has to be perfect." Espeon said as she tried flattening a loose cowlick. "Here, let me get that for you." Jade said as she helped Espeon control her mane. "That is why I'll be there. Trust me, I felt the same way the first time I had s... I mean went on a date with Ash." She covered as she almost let it slip out. "Well, thank you for caring so much." Espeon cried as she hugged Jade. "It's ok, that's what we girls are for, to help each other." Jade answered as she was a little dumbfounded from Espeon's response. "Ok, now that you are glamed up, it's my turn." Jade went over to the closet and pulled out her special dress. "How's this?" She asked with a smile as she showed the dress to Espeon. Espeon didn't speak; her jaw just hit the floor as she gawked at the red beauty that was the dress.
"Well Ash, what are you going to wear?" Pikachu asked as Ash combed through his closet. "I don't know, formal. Semi-formal. God, I sound like a chick!" He said as he couldn't find anything that was right. "Let's go see what Brock has." Ash said as he started going into Brock's open room. He found Vair lying on the bed watching the TV. "Vair, have you been doing this all day?" Ash asked as he was astonished that anyone could watch TV for so long and not have their eyes burnt out. "Yeah, it's a marathon. The show is called Animals. The Animals look like Pokemon, but aren't caught like we are. They are called 'pets'." Vair explained as he turned back to the TV. "Animals, pets, that sounds stupid. Who would want a pet dog when you could have a Pikachu as your best friend?" Ash laughed as he went to the closet.
"Let's see here, Nope. No, Woah no. Perfect." Ash said as he pulled out a suit. "Pinstripes, now that is a suit. She is getting dressed up, so why shouldn't I." "I love it, but what will Brock say." Pikachu asked. "What will I say?" Brock asked as he entered the room. "Ash, were you going to borrow my clothes without telling me?" Brock asked. "No, I was just seeing if it fits me, so I could... yes. I was." Ash finally said as he couldn't think of a lie on the spot. "I'm usually good at those." Ash thought as he handed the suit to Brock. "No, use it. I just wanted to see your reaction." Brock laughed as he looked at his watch. "Well, it's almost time to start heading up." Ash went to the girls' door and knocked. "We'll meet you up there." Espeon yelled. "Ok, then. Let's go!" Ash said as he raced Pikachu down the stairs like they used to.
"Well, I'll be seeing you guys later. I'm going to go get Claire and see if we can't have a romantic night of our own." Brock said as he headed up to the gym. "Ok Pikachu, let's head out." Ash said and with that, they were off. Ash discussed what to say, and what not to say with Pikachu as he could tell he was still nervous. "Ash, how do you keep your cool? You are about to ask the woman you love to marry you. A sacred bond between two individuals that lasts forever. What if she says no or something?" Pikachu asked as he was surprised how Ash was still calm. "Well, I... I... I never thought that much into it. Darn it Pikachu, now you got me nervous! How am I supposed to help you when I myself am a nervous wreck?" Ash asked. The rest of the trip was quiet as they focused on how the night was going to plan out.
"Hello. Welcome to the Poke Diner, it will be a ten minute wait so if you would just kindly wait, we'll have you a table in no time." An Absol waitress told them. "Ok, let's review what we are going to do tonight, shall we?" Ash asked as they sat on a bench outside the restaurant.
"1: Always look at her, no where else.
2. Talk about her, only talk about self if asked directly.
3. Compliment often, and as soon as I see her, say that she is beautiful
4. Have fun." Pikachu listed as he looked down at the game plan he wrote on his hand.
"Seems like you got it. Now, how are you feeling, nervous?" Ash asked as he too felt butterfrees in his stomach (Ha, get it, butterfrees. PUN! I astonish myself at times.) "I'm feeling fine now, but I don't know what will happen when the date begins." Pikachu answered as he kept staring at his hand going over how he was going to do this.
Pikachu began to hear footsteps approaching so he lifted his head to see his date. "You... you...beautiful you are." Pikachu stumbled as he couldn't arrange the words. "I mean, wow!" Pikachu said still staring at Espeon. "O stop, you're too kind." Espeon said as she took Pikachu's arm and went inside. "Where's Jade?" Ash asked. "She's right there." Espeon answered pointing behind Ash. He turned around to see Jade strutting up the path. Ash too found himself at a loss for words. He just stood there and gawked at her. She was wearing a magnificent red dress that cut off way too short. She was pretty much wearing the bare minimum for clothes to wear in public. "So, how do I look?" Jade said as she walked up to Ash. Ash still stood there drooling. "That's good enough, let's go in and you can stare at me in there." She said leading him to Pikachu and Espeon's table.
"Hello there, I'm Penelope. But most of you already know that. My! Who might this beauty be?" She asked looking at Espeon. Espeon blushed as she talked, "I'm Espeon, Pikachu's girlfriend." "Well, I hope you to have a nice evening. You two look like the perfect couple. Trust me, I can tell these things." Penelope answered as she looked over at Ash and Jade. Even though Jade still didn't like her, she didn't feel jealous anymore thanks to her talk with Ash the other day. "So Espeon, what do you like to do in your free time?" Pikachu asked. He wanted to get to know his new girlfriend more, even though he had been around her for years. "Well, I usually like to play with Staravia or anyone who I can have fun with. Doesn't matter what we do, just as long as we do it together." She answered as she was still trying to figure out what she wanted.
"Jade, you've been here before, what do you recommend?" Espeon asked as she was still confused about what to get. "Well, I had the spaghetti and cherry pie last time. I would totally recommend that because I am getting that again." She replied. Ash totally forgot. He didn't have any money to pay for the diner. "Uh, Pikachu. You wouldn't happen to have enough money to pay for diner tonight?" Ash whispered as the girls were staring at the picture of the spaghetti. "Don't worry, I have enough. I only gave you 10 because I knew I would have to pay for your diner you cheapskate." Pikachu laughed as he set the menu down with his choice. Ash breathed a sigh of relief as he looked back at the menu.
After they all decided and Pikachu was done with his personal questions, Penelope came back and asked: "Well, have we all decided?" "I'll have the steak with mashed potatoes on the side, thank you." Ash said as he handed over the menu to the Bellossom. "I'll have the spaghetti and cherry pie, again." Jade answered as she too handed over her menu. "Same here." Espeon replied. "I will have the pepperoni pizza with chocolate ice cream on the side." Pikachu said. "Ok, steak and mashed potatoes, 2 spaghettis and cherry pies, and a pepperoni pizza with chocolate ice cream. It will be about 15 minutes until your food arrives. Enjoy our complimentary bread while you wait." Penelope said as she laid down a basket of garlic bread. "Well, that wasn't here in the morning, but then again, who wants garlic bread in the morning?" Ash asked as he took a slice.
As they waited, Espeon told Pikachu about her life before they met. Even Ash and Jade were listening in as they too were interested in her story. Ash found that Espeon had 12 brothers and sisters. All evolved before they were even one. (This may have been an episode, but I'm not sure. If it is, it is loosely based on it. If not, I made it all by myself. No help.) They all urged her to evolve into what they were. She was caught in-between them all. She didn't know what she wanted to become. She just stayed the way she was because she didn't want to change. She liked being Eevee. When she evolved in Ash's lap, she finally knew what she wanted to be. Espeon, the physic pokemon. She felt safe in his arms and she wanted to evolve right then and there. She wanted to be the most beautiful evolution, (in her eyes, I like Umbreon and Glaceon, but Espeon is a good choice for the story). She had no regrets about her evolution.
The food arrived right on schedule as they dug into their delicious food. "Ummm, this is better than Brock's Ramen!" Pikachu screamed as he fell to his desires and chowed down. "It all is good!" Jade said. After she finished up with her food, she began to take some of Ash's. "Hey, slow down. Leave some for me." Ash said as he could only stare at his lover. When they were done, Ash felt it was time to ask Jade the most important question of his life.
Brock walked into the gym with a picnic basket he bought from the pokemart on the way there. He wanted him and Claire to go out to the forest and share a picnic during the sunset. Walking in, he couldn't find Claire. He searched around until he found her in the swimming pool. Except she wasn't alone. Ajay and her were kissing right there in the pool. Brock dropped the basket and ran out of the gym.
"Hey Jade, can I see you for a sec." Ash asked as he took Jade's hand. "Where are we going?" Jade asked as she knew all to well that they were going back to the storage closet. "I can't take it anymore, you're too gorgeous." Ash said as he led her into the room. "Wait right here, I got something for you. Turn around for a sec, don't turn back till I tell you." Ash said as he sat her on the o too familiar crate. "Ok Ash, what is this?" She asked as she faced the wall. "What is he pulling now?" She thought to herself as she tried to comprehend what could possibly be the big surprise. "Ok, turn around." Ash said as he knelt on his right knee. "She turned to see Ash on his knee with a box in his hand. The only reaction she could think of was to hold her hands over her snout. "Jade, will you marry me?" Ash said as he teared up with joy opening the box to expose the prettiest ring Jade had ever laid eyes on. "Ash, yes. Yes I will." She said. Ash took the ring and inserted onto her ring finger. "Perfect fit." He said as it slid right on. She then hugged Ash tight as she burst into tears. "Jade, I know this is the happiest moment of your life, but you're squishing me." Ash said as he attempted to get air. "Oh I'm sorry Ash. I just got so caught up in the moment. I can't wait to be Mrs. Ash Ketchum." She blurted as she loosened her grip on him. "So, how about we tell everybody the good news. I'M ENGAGED!" Ash yelled as he came out of the closet. (It isn't what it sounds like, he isn't gay. No matter what Dante did to him.)
As they went to the table, they saw Pikachu and Espeon making-out. "Hey guys, if you need some privacy, I can show you a room." Ash laughed as he sat back at the table. "I'm sorry, I just couldn't control myself." Pikachu said as he sat back down. "Jade, you're crying. What happened?" Espeon asked very concerned. She shot Ash a quick glare knowing he had something to do with it, which he did. Jade held out her hand as she cried: "I'm engaged." "O my God. I'm so happy for you!" She said as she studied the ring very closely. "I see you got you gift." Penelope said as she came back with the check. "How did you know?" Jade asked as although she was extremely happy, she had a sort of panic attack that maybe she was spying on them. "No, Ash bought the ring from the pokemart earlier today. I just so happened to ring him up." She said with a smile. "O, well, thank you for helping Ash pick out this gem." Jade said as she felt relieved. "No, no. Ash picked it out all by himself, I picked out others, but he saw that out of the corner of his eye and he knew it was perfect." She said as she left the table to help the other tables. Tonight was a very busy night for some reason. There was now a 45 minute wait to get an open table.
Claire and Ajay broke the kiss. "We shouldn't have done that. Even though we are both hurt from Ash and Jade union of marriage, we shouldn't be hooking up with each other. Brock would be crushed if he found out I was still attracted to Ash. Never speak of this again." Claire said as she walked out of the pool and began to dry off. "I know, my feelings of loneliness were too much and I had to be with someone for that moment. I'm sorry if I did anything you wouldn't want." Ajay added as he too got out and dried off. "I too let my feelings carry me too far. I should find Brock." Claire said as she looked at the clock. "Holy crap, it's 8:15. The gym closes at 8." She said as she walked out of the swimming area. "Huh, that's funny. Why is there a picnic basket out in the middle of the lobby." Claire asked herself as she bent down to observe the object. "Maybe there's an name or something. She found a card and her heart crumbled into pieces as she read: "Claire, I know we haven't spent enough time together lately, so I wanted you to know I love you and to enjoy this romantic evening under the stars." "What have I done?" She asked herself as she ran out the gym. "Wait! Wait for me!" Ajay yelled as he chased after her not even noticing the basket on the floor.

I wanted to keep going, but felt that this was a good place to stop. I haven't added a cliffhanger in for a while so here you go. "Yeah, ok then. The Poke Diner sounds great. How 'bout it Espeon, would you like that?" Pikachu asked as he looked over at Espeon. "I would LOVE that. When do you want to go?" She asked almost hoping he would say right now. "I want to go as soon as possible, but I also want to linger on how I just bagged the greatest girl in all of Sinnoh. Heck, the greatest girl EVER!" He screamed as he bounced with happiness. "Ok, how about in 2 hours. I have to get ready and I want to look my best for you pretty boy." She poked Pikachu's nose as she pried Jade out of bed and led her into Espeon's room.
"Hey Ash, I want to ask you something. I have never been good with girls and since they all seem to flock to you, I want you to help me. You know a few moves, things I can say. I need your help with Espeon. She is the catch of a lifetime and I want to make it last forever. Hey, when are you ever going to ask Jade to marry you? You guys already have a kid and Vair sees you as a dad." "I guess I never really thought about it. Am I ready? Better yet, is she ready? What do you think?" Ash asked. If he was going to talk about this with anyone, he would talk about it with his best friend. "Totally, if I didn't know any better, I would say you guys were already married. (I can't think of another word other than 'already') if I were you, I would of done it a long time ago. She loves you so much, why haven't you yet?"
"You know what? I'll do it! Hey, do you want to double date? I could help you and I could ask Jade to marry me. I will wait until you have had a nice time and I will stay out of the way the whole time just adding some tips every now and then." Ash asked. "Yeah sure, but don't you need a ring?" Pikachu added. "I think so, let's go to the pokemart to go look for a ring. The girls will be a while so we have some time. Plus, I can give you some pointers as I guess Jade is doing the same with Espeon. Let's go see them." Ash said as he began searching through his wallet for some money. "Uh-oh, I don't think I have enough money. I need to raise some money in the next hour or I won't be able to ask her. What will I do?" Ash asked himself as he frantically searched throughout the room for more cash. After digging through everything in the room, he only was able to turn up 2 dollars and 63 cents. "What am I going to do?" Ash yelled out. "Well, I have some loose change, here's 10 bucks. That's all I can afford to give up right now, I'm sorry. How much are you behind now?" Pikachu asked as he handed the money over to Ash. "Let's see, for a semi-decent ring, 50 bucks. I don't know what I'm going to do. Wonder what Brock has." Ash said as he ran into Brock's room.
"Hey Brock, I really need you right now. Do you have any money I can borrow?" Ash asked desperately. "O Ash, I just spent the last of it, I need to make some more. When are we ever going to go back to the journey?" Brock asked as that was his only way of making money. "Well, I don't know, it may be a while. I think I'm going to ask Jade to marry me." He said as you can here the excitement in his voice. "Ash, I'm so happy for you, where's the ring?" Brock asked as he ran up to see it up close. "Well, that's why I'm asking for your help. I need some money to get a ring." Ash mumbled. "Hey, let's go down there and see what we can do?" Brock said as he began to walk out the room. "Let me go check in with the girls before we go, we will only have an hour." Ash replied as he walked into the hallway. As he opened the door to the girls' door, he saw Jade helping Espeon into a beautiful dress. He waited till she was fully dressed and then walked into the room. "Hey Jade, me, Pikachu and Brock are going to go out for an hour, but Pikachu invited us to go with him and Espeon on their date. What do you say?" Ash asked as he was hindering on her answer. "Well, I was going to tell you that Espeon also invited us so, I am going to get changed here in a bit and let's just meet at the restaurant in a hour and a half." She said as she was still preoccupied with getting Espeon perfect. "Sure, see you there then." Ash answered as he walked out of the room to the awaiting boys. "Let's go." He said and with that, they were on their way to the pokemart.
When they arrived, they had to take a map to find what floor rings and jewelry would be on. After finding out it was floor 24, they stepped into the elevator. The elevator began to lift as they slowly ascended upwards to the 24th floor. "HELP!" Pikachu yelled as he jumped into Ash's arms. "Don't be afraid little guy, it's just an elevator. It's like taking stairs to go up higher, but instead, you don't have to actually move. It is used by paraplegics who physically can't move upstairs, if you are carrying stuff that needs to go upstairs but would be too much of a hassle to use the stairs, and in this case, when you have to go up to a really high floor that will drain all your energy if you take the stairs. It helps us, it won't hurt us." Ash explained as the elevator stopped. "Here we are, the Jewelry section." Brock said as he stepped out of the elevator to the enormous room that was laid out in front of him. Someone could easily get lost in here. Brock looked up to see signs pointing to the different parts of the room. "Necklaces, no. Bracelets, no. Ahh, rings, this way." Ash and Pikachu, who now was out of Ash's hands trying to get back his manliness, followed Brock as he led them to the rings.
"Excuse me, miss, can we have some help?" Brock asked as the clerk turned around. "Penelope?" Ash asked as recognized his waitress from the Poke Diner. "Ash, is that you? What brings you here? Are you getting Jade a ring?" She asked with excitement. "Yeah, how's come you aren't working at the Poke Diner anymore?" Ash asked as he wanted Pikachu to have her as a waitress. "I do, my shift there is mornings from 6am-11am, here from 2pm-6pm, and the Poke Diner from 6:30pm-9pm, which means I have to run from here in about 30 minutes to get there in time. It is very busy, but I don't mind. So, what type of ring are we looking at here?" She asked remembering why Ash was here in the first place. "Well, actually, I'm here to buy a wedding ring." Ash mumbled hoping she wouldn't make too much of a fuss about it. He was surely disappointed. "A WEDDING RING, YOU'RE GOING TO ASK HER TO MARRY YOU! O MY GOD." She screamed as she was filled with joy for both him and Jade. "Where are you going to ask her?" Penelope asked as she wanted to know every little detail. "Well, I was thinking of doing it over at the Poke Diner tonight. We are going there in an hour which means you will be there, right?" Ash said as he looked around at the rings.
"Awesome, ok, we have to do this fast because my shift ends really soon. Here's one." She said as she showed him a ring. "No, not that one." Ash said as he still browsed around. "This one looks nice, how about it." She asked as she showed him another ring with a huge rock. "Let's be reasonable here, what about that one?" Ash asked as he pointed to the perfect ring. "This one? Yes, that's an Amethyst ring." It was a beautiful golden ring with 2 gorgeous amethyst (purple) stones with diamond accents which when they were all placed together, made a heart. Ash searched through his wallet again, but came up sad. "I only have 107." Ash said as he looked back up at Penelope. "Well, here's what I'll do. I'll give you my 20 employee discount. Ok? This is what I owe you from that monstrous tip you left." She giggled as she started ringing up the item. (I didn't want to say 'ringing up the ring' that just sounds stupid.) "Thank you so much!" Ash yelled as he reached over the counter and gave Penelope a big hug. "Don... Don't mention it." She stuttered as she felt a surge of happiness flow through her. "Why did it have to be Jade and not me? He's simply perfect." She thought as she lost herself in his arms.
"Ok, let's hurry back to the hotel so we can get ready. I, we, have to look sharp for our dates tonight. Right Pikachu?" Ash winked as they ran to the stairs. They didn't care how many flights it was because they had only one thing on their minds, their girls. Jade, Espeon, Claire; what did they do to get such wonderful girls. When they got outside, panting from the run, Brock kept going over to the gym to get Claire. All he wanted to do was be with her at that moment. After reaching his destination, he found Claire bench-pressing with Ajay.
"Hey guys, and how's my #1 girl?" Brock asked as he bent down and kissed her. "Jus... Just fine, thank you." She panted as she got up. "Why are you here? I told you I'll be awhile." She said as she now spotted Ajay as he lifted the enormous bar. "Well, I have some great news. Ash is going to ask Jade to marry him!" Brock yelled as he hugged Claire from the excitement. Ajay flinched at the news and almost dropped the bar on his head. "Woah, Ajay. Are you ok?" Claire asked as she felt it was her fault because she let go of the bar. "Yeah, I'm fine." Ajay said as he lifted the bar back on the rack. "Ash is going to marry Jade?" Ajay sunk as his dreams of being with Jade were being crushed. "Yeah, tonight. He got the ring and everything. I ran straight over here to tell you guys. I also wanted to be with my girl on this joyous occasion. What's wrong Claire?" Brock asked as he saw tears building in her eyes. "It's just so wonderful. I'm so happy for them." She said as she wiped the tears from her eyes. She couldn't tell Brock she still had feelings for Ash. "Well, I'll leave you two alone now. I got to go help Ash. MY BEST FRIEND IS GETTING ENGAGED! YAHOO!" Brock screamed as he ran out the door. Ajay and Claire just sat there sulking over how they will never be with Ash/Jade.
"Hey Espeon? How are you feeling? You should be jumping off the walls with excitement." Jade asked. "I'm feeling good, for now. How am I supposed to know what to say? I don't want to mess this up. I fell in love with him ever since the day he saved me. Now that the day finally comes, I don't want to ruin it. It has to be perfect." Espeon said as she tried flattening a loose cowlick. "Here, let me get that for you." Jade said as she helped Espeon control her mane. "That is why I'll be there. Trust me, I felt the same way the first time I had s... I mean went on a date with Ash." She covered as she almost let it slip out. "Well, thank you for caring so much." Espeon cried as she hugged Jade. "It's ok, that's what we girls are for, to help each other." Jade answered as she was a little dumbfounded from Espeon's response. "Ok, now that you are glamed up, it's my turn." Jade went over to the closet and pulled out her special dress. "How's this?" She asked with a smile as she showed the dress to Espeon. Espeon didn't speak; her jaw just hit the floor as she gawked at the red beauty that was the dress.
"Well Ash, what are you going to wear?" Pikachu asked as Ash combed through his closet. "I don't know, formal. Semi-formal. God, I sound like a chick!" He said as he couldn't find anything that was right. "Let's go see what Brock has." Ash said as he started going into Brock's open room. He found Vair lying on the bed watching the TV. "Vair, have you been doing this all day?" Ash asked as he was astonished that anyone could watch TV for so long and not have their eyes burnt out. "Yeah, it's a marathon. The show is called Animals. The Animals look like Pokemon, but aren't caught like we are. They are called 'pets'." Vair explained as he turned back to the TV. "Animals, pets, that sounds stupid. Who would want a pet dog when you could have a Pikachu as your best friend?" Ash laughed as he went to the closet.
"Let's see here, Nope. No, Woah no. Perfect." Ash said as he pulled out a suit. "Pinstripes, now that is a suit. She is getting dressed up, so why shouldn't I." "I love it, but what will Brock say." Pikachu asked. "What will I say?" Brock asked as he entered the room. "Ash, were you going to borrow my clothes without telling me?" Brock asked. "No, I was just seeing if it fits me, so I could... yes. I was." Ash finally said as he couldn't think of a lie on the spot. "I'm usually good at those." Ash thought as he handed the suit to Brock. "No, use it. I just wanted to see your reaction." Brock laughed as he looked at his watch. "Well, it's almost time to start heading up." Ash went to the girls' door and knocked. "We'll meet you up there." Espeon yelled. "Ok, then. Let's go!" Ash said as he raced Pikachu down the stairs like they used to.
"Well, I'll be seeing you guys later. I'm going to go get Claire and see if we can't have a romantic night of our own." Brock said as he headed up to the gym. "Ok Pikachu, let's head out." Ash said and with that, they were off. Ash discussed what to say, and what not to say with Pikachu as he could tell he was still nervous. "Ash, how do you keep your cool? You are about to ask the woman you love to marry you. A sacred bond between two individuals that lasts forever. What if she says no or something?" Pikachu asked as he was surprised how Ash was still calm. "Well, I... I... I never thought that much into it. Darn it Pikachu, now you got me nervous! How am I supposed to help you when I myself am a nervous wreck?" Ash asked. The rest of the trip was quiet as they focused on how the night was going to plan out.
"Hello. Welcome to the Poke Diner, it will be a ten minute wait so if you would just kindly wait, we'll have you a table in no time." An Absol waitress told them. "Ok, let's review what we are going to do tonight, shall we?" Ash asked as they sat on a bench outside the restaurant.
"1: Always look at her, no where else.
2. Talk about her, only talk about self if asked directly.
3. Compliment often, and as soon as I see her, say that she is beautiful
4. Have fun." Pikachu listed as he looked down at the game plan he wrote on his hand.
"Seems like you got it. Now, how are you feeling, nervous?" Ash asked as he too felt butterfrees in his stomach (Ha, get it, butterfrees. PUN! I astonish myself at times.) "I'm feeling fine now, but I don't know what will happen when the date begins." Pikachu answered as he kept staring at his hand going over how he was going to do this.
Pikachu began to hear footsteps approaching so he lifted his head to see his date. "You... you...beautiful you are." Pikachu stumbled as he couldn't arrange the words. "I mean, wow!" Pikachu said still staring at Espeon. "O stop, you're too kind." Espeon said as she took Pikachu's arm and went inside. "Where's Jade?" Ash asked. "She's right there." Espeon answered pointing behind Ash. He turned around to see Jade strutting up the path. Ash too found himself at a loss for words. He just stood there and gawked at her. She was wearing a magnificent red dress that cut off way too short. She was pretty much wearing the bare minimum for clothes to wear in public. "So, how do I look?" Jade said as she walked up to Ash. Ash still stood there drooling. "That's good enough, let's go in and you can stare at me in there." She said leading him to Pikachu and Espeon's table.
"Hello there, I'm Penelope. But most of you already know that. My! Who might this beauty be?" She asked looking at Espeon. Espeon blushed as she talked, "I'm Espeon, Pikachu's girlfriend." "Well, I hope you to have a nice evening. You two look like the perfect couple. Trust me, I can tell these things." Penelope answered as she looked over at Ash and Jade. Even though Jade still didn't like her, she didn't feel jealous anymore thanks to her talk with Ash the other day. "So Espeon, what do you like to do in your free time?" Pikachu asked. He wanted to get to know his new girlfriend more, even though he had been around her for years. "Well, I usually like to play with Staravia or anyone who I can have fun with. Doesn't matter what we do, just as long as we do it together." She answered as she was still trying to figure out what she wanted.
"Jade, you've been here before, what do you recommend?" Espeon asked as she was still confused about what to get. "Well, I had the spaghetti and cherry pie last time. I would totally recommend that because I am getting that again." She replied. Ash totally forgot. He didn't have any money to pay for the diner. "Uh, Pikachu. You wouldn't happen to have enough money to pay for diner tonight?" Ash whispered as the girls were staring at the picture of the spaghetti. "Don't worry, I have enough. I only gave you 10 because I knew I would have to pay for your diner you cheapskate." Pikachu laughed as he set the menu down with his choice. Ash breathed a sigh of relief as he looked back at the menu.
After they all decided and Pikachu was done with his personal questions, Penelope came back and asked: "Well, have we all decided?" "I'll have the steak with mashed potatoes on the side, thank you." Ash said as he handed over the menu to the Bellossom. "I'll have the spaghetti and cherry pie, again." Jade answered as she too handed over her menu. "Same here." Espeon replied. "I will have the pepperoni pizza with chocolate ice cream on the side." Pikachu said. "Ok, steak and mashed potatoes, 2 spaghettis and cherry pies, and a pepperoni pizza with chocolate ice cream. It will be about 15 minutes until your food arrives. Enjoy our complimentary bread while you wait." Penelope said as she laid down a basket of garlic bread. "Well, that wasn't here in the morning, but then again, who wants garlic bread in the morning?" Ash asked as he took a slice.
As they waited, Espeon told Pikachu about her life before they met. Even Ash and Jade were listening in as they too were interested in her story. Ash found that Espeon had 12 brothers and sisters. All evolved before they were even one. (This may have been an episode, but I'm not sure. If it is, it is loosely based on it. If not, I made it all by myself. No help.) They all urged her to evolve into what they were. She was caught in-between them all. She didn't know what she wanted to become. She just stayed the way she was because she didn't want to change. She liked being Eevee. When she evolved in Ash's lap, she finally knew what she wanted to be. Espeon, the physic pokemon. She felt safe in his arms and she wanted to evolve right then and there. She wanted to be the most beautiful evolution, (in her eyes, I like Umbreon and Glaceon, but Espeon is a good choice for the story). She had no regrets about her evolution.
The food arrived right on schedule as they dug into their delicious food. "Ummm, this is better than Brock's Ramen!" Pikachu screamed as he fell to his desires and chowed down. "It all is good!" Jade said. After she finished up with her food, she began to take some of Ash's. "Hey, slow down. Leave some for me." Ash said as he could only stare at his lover. When they were done, Ash felt it was time to ask Jade the most important question of his life.
Brock walked into the gym with a picnic basket he bought from the pokemart on the way there. He wanted him and Claire to go out to the forest and share a picnic during the sunset. Walking in, he couldn't find Claire. He searched around until he found her in the swimming pool. Except she wasn't alone. Ajay and her were kissing right there in the pool. Brock dropped the basket and ran out of the gym.
"Hey Jade, can I see you for a sec." Ash asked as he took Jade's hand. "Where are we going?" Jade asked as she knew all to well that they were going back to the storage closet. "I can't take it anymore, you're too gorgeous." Ash said as he led her into the room. "Wait right here, I got something for you. Turn around for a sec, don't turn back till I tell you." Ash said as he sat her on the o too familiar crate. "Ok Ash, what is this?" She asked as she faced the wall. "What is he pulling now?" She thought to herself as she tried to comprehend what could possibly be the big surprise. "Ok, turn around." Ash said as he knelt on his right knee. "She turned to see Ash on his knee with a box in his hand. The only reaction she could think of was to hold her hands over her snout. "Jade, will you marry me?" Ash said as he teared up with joy opening the box to expose the prettiest ring Jade had ever laid eyes on. "Ash, yes. Yes I will." She said. Ash took the ring and inserted onto her ring finger. "Perfect fit." He said as it slid right on. She then hugged Ash tight as she burst into tears. "Jade, I know this is the happiest moment of your life, but you're squishing me." Ash said as he attempted to get air. "Oh I'm sorry Ash. I just got so caught up in the moment. I can't wait to be Mrs. Ash Ketchum." She blurted as she loosened her grip on him. "So, how about we tell everybody the good news. I'M ENGAGED!" Ash yelled as he came out of the closet. (It isn't what it sounds like, he isn't gay. No matter what Dante did to him.)
As they went to the table, they saw Pikachu and Espeon making-out. "Hey guys, if you need some privacy, I can show you a room." Ash laughed as he sat back at the table. "I'm sorry, I just couldn't control myself." Pikachu said as he sat back down. "Jade, you're crying. What happened?" Espeon asked very concerned. She shot Ash a quick glare knowing he had something to do with it, which he did. Jade held out her hand as she cried: "I'm engaged." "O my God. I'm so happy for you!" She said as she studied the ring very closely. "I see you got you gift." Penelope said as she came back with the check. "How did you know?" Jade asked as although she was extremely happy, she had a sort of panic attack that maybe she was spying on them. "No, Ash bought the ring from the pokemart earlier today. I just so happened to ring him up." She said with a smile. "O, well, thank you for helping Ash pick out this gem." Jade said as she felt relieved. "No, no. Ash picked it out all by himself, I picked out others, but he saw that out of the corner of his eye and he knew it was perfect." She said as she left the table to help the other tables. Tonight was a very busy night for some reason. There was now a 45 minute wait to get an open table.
Claire and Ajay broke the kiss. "We shouldn't have done that. Even though we are both hurt from Ash and Jade union of marriage, we shouldn't be hooking up with each other. Brock would be crushed if he found out I was still attracted to Ash. Never speak of this again." Claire said as she walked out of the pool and began to dry off. "I know, my feelings of loneliness were too much and I had to be with someone for that moment. I'm sorry if I did anything you wouldn't want." Ajay added as he too got out and dried off. "I too let my feelings carry me too far. I should find Brock." Claire said as she looked at the clock. "Holy crap, it's 8:15. The gym closes at 8." She said as she walked out of the swimming area. "Huh, that's funny. Why is there a picnic basket out in the middle of the lobby." Claire asked herself as she bent down to observe the object. "Maybe there's an name or something. She found a card and her heart crumbled into pieces as she read: "Claire, I know we haven't spent enough time together lately, so I wanted you to know I love you and to enjoy this romantic evening under the stars." "What have I done?" She asked herself as she ran out the gym. "Wait! Wait for me!" Ajay yelled as he chased after her not even noticing the basket on the floor.

I wanted to keep going, but felt that this was a good place to stop. I haven't added a cliffhanger in for a while so here you go.
