The story of a Boy and his Mate by majinonifox1

Story Notes:

I do not own Pokemon, or it's contexts. All the main characters in my story are fictional, and are not modeled off of any characters, whether they be real or fiction.

Wedding and a Battle

Pidgey flying all around.

Loads of Ratatta running around in the snow.

The snow itself wasn't very deep, only about 2 inches now, compared to before. Although, there were still flakes of snow still falling.

People on the left, and on the right, 20 feet outide of the Vermillion Gym.

Red carpet leading to an altar, which looked brand new, which also stretched one way, and then another at the end, like a runway.

Beautiful ribbons of Red and Gold adorned the outside of the Gym, givig it a regal look. Almost as if it was a church.

A man with slicked back hair and white robes stood at the altar, seeming to wait for something.

All of a sudden, there was music. Uplifting music. Then, in walked a boy. No, not a boy. He was a man, through and through. And this day would prove it.

He walked tall, feeling proud that he was about to go through with this. 4'9" standing tall, sapphire blue eyes, and an all around feral look about him.

He walked with a bluish black suit top, looking almost as if it were made of fur. In fact, it was. He had found a tailor a while back, and was proud of the craftsman's work. It was the same shade of bluish black that adorned his upper body. His black shoes set his entire outfit on fire, despite the cool blue in there. He had his hair done up slicked back, and colored blue, for the occasion.

He walked proudly, treating this to be a glorious battle that he would surely win. He knew all of his oponents moves, and what he was to do. He walked to the altar and stood on the left side, to the audience.

He waited there for something. Something to happen.

Then, out came Luna. She wasn't too cute throwing flowers anymore, but then again, we didn't have a little girl to do it. Most of the girls in Vermillion were well into their teens and refused to do something like that. Luna, however, still had a kids heart, and said that she would be happy to do it.

As she walked up the aisle throwing flowers, the boy looked to William. He was there smiling.

'Hey. We'll get through this. Together.' He said in thought speech.

'Yeah.' Dustin replied.

He then looked at Peachy. 'Did you remember the rings?'

'Oh crap! I knew I forgot something!' He thought,

'What do you mean you forgot!? I need those rings!' Dustin said exhasperated.

'Don't have a cow. I have them. I was only joking.' He pulled out a pillow that had the rings on them in a bright blue box.

'Don't scare me like that!' Dustin said, relieved.

Luna finished throwing her flowers and took her place beside Aren, who people were still giving strange looks to.

(Dustin)

Did you remember what you were supposed to do?

I remember. I concentrated, and focused on my Aura. The snow swirled on a certain spot, and formed into a Zangoose. Take it over?

Okay. And don't worry. I'll still talk to you in your mind.

Thanks.

Then, the Zangoose opened eyes that didn't look there in the beginning. He walked up to an empty seat next to Zachary and said "It's an interesting wedding, huh?"

Zachary looked to his side, and gasped. "Dad!" he whispered.

"It's good to see you, Zachary." He hugged him, and said "I'm glad you remembered my request."

"Always, dad."

Zachary's 'dad' smiled, and released his son. "Now, let's just watch this whole thing, shall we?"

"Yeah." Zachary faced forward, watching the altar.

(3rd Person)

Then, the music stopped, and new music started. The song 'Here Comes the Bride' was now playing.

Then, everyone stood up to view the bride. Dustin got a better view as well.

There, appearing from the right side, was Sylvia, being accompanied by her father.

Dustin's jaw dropped about a mile. So did every other guys' mouth. She was stunning. Silver nails, brilliantly offset by a purple veil, blue corsage, red necklace, and a neon periwinkle dress. She was gorgeous. Her hair bouncing in her curls with every step she took.

As she reached the altar with Dustin waiting, the priest, Major Surge, said "Who gives the bride away?"

Marden spoke. "I, her father, Marden Grimith, give the bride away." He passed her arm to me, and Dustin graciously took it. As he grabbed it, Marden sat down in the front row, next to Lorana.

I smiled at Sylvia, her face happy and content.

Just then, the music died down, and it was all silent for about 5 secods, until Major Surge spoke. "Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to bear witness to a most glorious union of two families. I must ask now that, whosoever finds this union to be unfit, I ask that you speak now, or forever hold your peace." No one dared speak, so Major Surge continued. "The groom has written some vows for the bride, and will now recite them."

In the audience, Megan was hitting herself in the head. "Stupid, stupid, stupid!"

(Dustin)

I was nervous now.

What's there to be nervous about? You have me!

I know, but I forgot the vows.

You're hopeless. I remembered them. Just repeat after me. I, Dustin,

"I, Dustin Lomax,"

Do hereby promise myself and to others

"Do hereby promise myself and to others"

The following.

"The following."

Get on one knee.

I graciously went to one knee.

I promise, Sylvia, that no matter what hardships come our way, that I will always be there for you.

"I promise, Sylvia, that no matter what hardships come our way, that I will always be there for you."

I promise to hold and protect you, and care for our children.

"I promies to hold and protect you, and care for our children."

I promise that you are the only one for me, and you shall only be the one for me.

"I promise that you are the only one for me, and you shall only be the one for me."

I swear on my head that if any harm were to befall you, that I would bear that same pain, and comfort you to no end.

"I swear on my head that if any harm were to befall you, that I would bear that same pain and comfort you to no end."

I promise to be there, even if I'm not, and help you in any times of need.

"I promise to be there, even if I'm not, and help you in any times of need."

So long as I shall live.

"So long as I shall live."

I finished.

(Sylvia)

I was flustered by his vows. Megan hadn't told me anything about them, and I had no idea what I was going to do about that.

'Don't worry, hon. I'll help you out.'

'Mom?' I asked in my head.

'Yes. Now, he had some good ones, but we'll have some good ones of our own.'

I bowed my head in tears. I then whispered something in Major Surge's ear, then he said "Now the bride will read some vows that she has written."

Megan stopped beating herself up, and looked onward.

'Okay, just repeat after me. I, Sylvia,'

"I, Sylvia Grimith,"

'Do hereby promise you, Dustin Lomax, the following:'

"Do hereby promise you, Dustin Lomax, the following:"

'Get on your knee.'

I got on one knee like Dustin did.

'I promise to be there and help you in times of need.'

"I promise to be there and help you in times of need."

'To be there, by your sickbed if you are stuck there.'

"To be there, by your sickbed, if ever you are incarcerated."

'Nice. To love and to cherish the life we have together.'

"To love and to cherish the life we have together."

'To never waver in my love for you and fall for another.'

"To never waver in my love for you and fall for another."

'I promise all of this with my heart, knowing I will never break any of these vows.'

"I promise all of this with my heart, knowing I will never break any of these vows."

I got up and looked Dustin in the eyes, love in them, and in my own.

(3rd Person)

Major Surge then spoke up. "Now, do you have the rings?"

Peachy approached and handed out the pillow with the box on it.

Major Surge opened the box and pulled out the two golden bands that were in there. He gave one to Dustin, and one to Sylvia.

"Now, Dustin, take your ring and place it on Sylvia's finger, repeating after me. With this ring, I thee wed,"

"With this ring, I thee wed," Dustin repeated.

"Sylvia Grimith, the love of my life,"

"Sylvia Grimith, the love of my life,"

"For as long as I shall live."

"For as long as I shall live." At the last line, Dustin had fitted the ring onto Sylvia's left middle paw, having difficulty getting it on there.

In the audience, Brandon, who was usually the tough one, was crying, Megan consoling him on the side.

Major Surge then turned to Sylvia. "Now, Sylvia, take your ring and place it on Dustin's finger, repeating after me. With this ring, I thee wed,"

"With this ring, I thee wed," Sylvia repeated.

"Dustin Lomax, the love of my life,"

"Dustin Lomax, the love of my life,"

"For as long as I shall live."

"For as long as I shall live." As she finished, she finally got the ring on Dustin's finger, fumbling a few times with her paws.

"I now pronounce thee man and wife. You may now kiss the bride."

Dustin kissed Sylvia sweetly, and she returned it. They held it for a few seconds, and ended it together.

"All rise!" Everyone rose from their seats. "I now present to all, Mr. and Mrs. Dustin and Sylvia Lomax!"

Music played again, and Dustin and Sylvia walked down the aisle together, holding hands. As he did, he saw Zachary and his 'dad' smiling and clapping along with everyone else.

Dustin directed his thoughts to Zachary. 'Do you feel up for a battle?'

Zachary looked at his dad and asked "Can you stay for a battle?"

"If it's inside, maybe not."

'Can it be outside?' Zachary asked.

'I'll find out.' As Dustin reached the end of the row, he turned on the spot. Then, a shirt was thrown to him, and Sylvia removed her dress in one fling. Dustin donned his shirt, and retracted his fur vest. "Major Surge, if it befits you, may we have our battle outside?"

"HA! I do not see why not! Let us have a glorious battle!"

"Yessir!" I saluted to him.

Then, Major surge popped open a Pokeball and said "If the audience will move to the sides with their chairs, thay may be present for this match!"

There was a great deal of commotion and movement as everyone grabed their chairs and moved them to the side and sat down. All but Dustin's family sat in the rows of seats now positioned to the sides of the now battlefield.

"3 on 3 match! We need a ref!"

Then, Brandon stepped up. "As the Frontier Brain of the battle Pyramid, I will accept the role of Referee for this match! This will be a 3 on 3 match with no time limit between the Gym Leader, Major Surge, and the challenger, Dustin Lomax! Only the challenger may substitute in any case. Are both trainers ready?"

"I am!" Dustin replied.

"HOO-RAH!" was Major Surge's reply.

"Okay. Being challenged, major Surge will call out his Pokemon first!"

"Very well, then! Electrivire! I choose you!" He tossed his current Pokeball in the air, and an Electrivire was released, as it crushed the altar that helped to wed Sylvia and Dustin not moments ago.

"Very well. My first choice for now is Zachary!"

Zachary walked forward, ready for battle. He looked over at his dad, who was sitting in a seat on the left side.

"Very well. Let the match between Zangoose and Electrivire begin!"

"Zachary, use Extreme Speed!"

In a flash, Zachary disappeared. He then reappeared striking Electrivire once, knocking it off it's feet.

"Electrivire, my friend, hang in there! Thunderbolt!"

Electrivire got up and fired off a Thunderbolt out of the way of Zachary, but I knew that wasn't his target.

'Zachary, up in the air!'

Zachary jumped, and just in time, too. The Thunderbolt came to the ground, electrifying the ground for a moment. Dustin could feel the effects that it would have had on Zachary. Once the stinging sensation was gone, Zachary was already heading back for earth.

Once he landed, Dustin said 'Now, let's get on up there with a Psywave!'

'How did you know I knew that attack? Us Zangoose don't learn that normally.'

'Well, are you ging to use it, or not?'

Zachary oblidged, and fired off a Psywave directly at Electrivire's head. It staggered backwards a bit, feeling a bit dizzy.

'Now, use Dragon Claw!'

'How do you know I have these attacks?!'

'Just use it! I'll explain later!'

He came up with a glowing claw and struck Electrivire straight on the jaw, knocking it to the ground, unconscious.

"Electrivire is unable to battle! Zangoose is the winner!"

"Alright, Zachary!" Zachary ran to me and gave me a hug.

"You're giong to explain yourself when you finish this." he whispered to me.

"Deal." Dustin responded.

Major Surge spoke. "So, you've got a few tricks up your sleeve, huh? Not bad! But now, you're going to be hurting badly! I choose you, Manetric!" He threw another Pokebal, after retracting Electrivire, and a Manetric popped out.

"Zachary, come on back for now."

"Got it." He responded.

"I am replacing Zachary with another Pokemon. I choose Luna!"

Luna walked to the field and said "Do your worst!"

"Lucario Vs. Manetric! Let the battle commence!" Brandon annouced.

'Luna, let's try that move we've been working on!'

'Got it!' Luna flicked her right wrist once, and a blue sphere appeared in it. She then fired it at the Manetric, and it knocked it back, stunned.

"Shake it off, and use Volt Tackle!" Surge called out.

The Manetric shot off at high speed, electricity coated around his entire body.

'Luna, get out of the way!' I cried in my head.

However, Manetric was too fast for her, and she was knocked backwards, and sparks were flying from her body. She was paralyzed.

'You okay?' I asked.

'I'll be fine. Just-' "AHH!" she screamed the last part, clearly in pain.

"Luna! Grr." 'Luna, I think it's time for that move.'

'You're not serious!?'

'I am. You've practiced it plenty enough, and you know how it works. I have faith in you!'

Luna nodded. 'Alright, dad.' She charged a black ball in one hand, and a green one in her other. She then disappeared, and out of nowhere, both of the balls struck the Manetric from opposite sides of him. He then collapsed onto the ground.

"Manetric is unable to battle! Lucario is the winner!" Brandon announced.

Luna ran to Dustin and hugged him tightly, kissing him on the cheek as well.

Dustin kissed her on the cheek back, and she got to his side.

"Very good, kid! I haven't had a challenge like this in a long while! Now you'll be subject to a dear old friend of mine! I choose you, Magnezone!"(You thought something different? You have no imagination at all!)

In a flash of light, the gigantic Magnezone came out.

It was then that I felt I needed some kind of stretch of my abilities, so I stepped forward. "I retract Luna, and call on me!"

"WHAT?!" was Major Surge's answer to that statement.

"Dustin, I don't think that the rules-"

"Show me the rule, ref! Show it to me, and I'll back down!"

"Uhh," Brandon was at a loss for words, but then regained his composure. "There is to be a trainer at either end of the pitch!"

Sylvia walked up to where Dustin was standing. "I am Dustin's trainer." she announced.

"There! Requierments fulfilled. Now may I get to my battle?"

"Uhh, well," Brandon hesitated for a minute, but then gave in. "The match between Magnezone and Dustin shall now commence!"

"Magnezone, our target is the boy! Thunderbolt!"

The Magnezone shot off a gigantic Thunderbolt that was close to hitting Dustin, but he used his Extreme Speed just in the nick of time to get out of the way. He then appeared right behind Magnezone with an Aura Sphere charged, and poised. He then fired it off, and it hit the Magnezone at close range. However, it merely seemed stunned, and not severely hurt.

"What the- What's going on!? That should have knocked it out!"

"Heh. Magnezone has been trained against fighting moves for a long time, and he can withstand anything you throw at him!"

"Great." Dustin said and disappeared again, only to return to the side of the Magnezone, holding his position.

"Magnezone, use Thounderbolt, and hurry!"

DUstin didn't even move out of the way and Sylvia screamed for him. "DUSTIN! GET OUT OF THE WAY!"

It didn't matter, however, as the Thunderbolt missed, and Dustin used his attack. Vital Throw.

Once the attack hit, Magnezone was knocked to the ground, unable to move for a bit. It then started to get up, but Dustin was ready with a Dynamic Punch combo. It hit, and it hit hard, making Magnezone spin in a giant circle. Once it was done spinning, it had spirals in it's eyes.

Dustin went for the finishing blow. He charged his right hand and left hand each with an Aura Sphere, and used Extreme Speed. This warranted both of the Aura Spheres to hit the Magnezone simultaneously. This time, the Magnezone hit the ground, and didn't move.

"Magnezone is unable to battle! Dustin is the winner! The victory goes to Dustin!"

Dustin smiled, then dropped to the floor from exhaustion, uncaring of the snow on the ground. Once he hit the ground, he passed out.

*~*

When he awoke, he was in the Pokemon Center again, but not strapped down like last time. He got up, and saw Sylvia sleeping in a chair all by herself. Dustin smiled, and got out of bed and noticed he was in gowns again. So, careful if there were cameras, he grabbed Sylvia and lifted her up. He then placed her on the bed, and he sat on the chair and slept in her place, peaceful in his efforts.

Okay, I know it's been long coming, but I have to stop here for this story.

NOT!
This story will continue in another story. I am thinking of having this story as a series now. Look at me go. My first series. If you think that would work, tell me, and I'll make it so. If not, tell me, and I'll just continue this story from here. Either way, I'm done writing this story for now, and I'm going to be working more on requests than my own stories.
Til then, this is Majinonifox1, signing off.
Chapter End Notes:Don't hate me for that. It's only what my mom said to do
