A Rare Sight by wxyzz

Story Notes:

This is my first ever story posted on here, and although it took me forever to type this I think it'll all be worth it. Just like the Pokemon television series, my mind is full of ideas and I will not stop writing my story(stories) until my mind is nothing but an empty space.  Anyways, have fun reading my story as much as I did writing it.

Chapter 12

A Rare Sight

Lightning Strikes the Same Place Twice Apparently

“*Yaaaawwwnnnn*”

“Hey there sleepyhead, how are you feeling?”

“Eh, not bad anymore,” Chole said, changing back into her original form.

“Good to know, now get off me.”

Chole slowly floated off of my shoulder.

“How long was I out?”

“Eh, I’d say about three hours; we should be reaching Mauville City soon actually.”

“Vee, Eevee vee, vee,” Buddy spoke to Chole.

“Nah, I don’t remember having any dreams, I didn’t even know we were on the move.”

“Well now that you’re awake, do you think we can pick up our pace now?”

“Sure…*groan*…whatever.”

Although we began to walk faster, we would stop a few times to fight wild Pokemon to help train for the next gym match.  The cool thing about it was that the closer we got to the city, the more Pokemon with electric abilities would appear; it was perfect practice for us due to the fact that the next gym leader specializes in electric Pokemon.

After about two hours of practice, darkness began to loom over us.  I walked us over to an open space in the woods and dropped my backpack on the ground.

“Alright guys, let’s make camp here, we can make it to the city tomorrow morning.”

“Linoone.”

“Treeco tree.”

“You can say that again, I’m fucking sweatin’ over here.”

“You didn’t do shit Chole!  All you did was sleep in my backpack and eat berries.”

“Hey!  I cheered them on, that takes ALOTA work.”

“That little comment just gave you firewood duty.”

“Ughhhhhhhhh!”

“Buddy go with her, I don’t want anyone to leave the camp without a Buddy, especially when it’s dark out.”

“Vee!”

Buddy then turned around and followed Chole when she slowly floated on his back and rode him like he was a horse.

We all then got to work, Treeco and I built the tent, Linoone made a safe place for a fire, and Ruby built defenses around the camp just in case a wild Pokemon gets curious.

Everything was just finished when Chole and Buddy came back with sticks in their hands and mouths.  Chole threw the sticks on the fireplace and floated on the ground.

“There’s your damn sticks, now start the fire it’s freezing.”

I got on my knees and picked them up and brought them into a pile, and then I grabbed my lighter in my pocket and lit the fire.

“Ah, much better,” Chole said while putting her hands to the fire.

“Vee,” Buddy said and rolled onto his back with his belly to the fire.

“You’re welcome, now lets have some dinner shall we?”

We all ate dinner like it was our first meal in days.  Buddy and Linoone both had regular Pokemon food while Treeco, Ruby, and Chole all had berries; I had a sandwich, yeah I’m not eating those damn Hot Pockets again.

So after dinner, cleaning up, and telling stories, everyone started to become tired.

“Vee.”

“Tree.”

“Lar.”

“Linoone.”

Everyone went inside the tent to sleep except me and Chole who were wide awake.

“So, what’s going to happen tomorrow when we get to the city?”  Chole asked while lying on the ground with her stomach to the fire.

I began to make a little spreadsheet in the dirt, “well at round 10 we’ll all enter the front gates of the city and according to the map it’ll take about 10 minutes to walk to the nearest Pokemon center.  When we get there I’ll go and bring everyone to the nurse and then we’ll start unpacking shit in a room.  After that we’ll have lunch and then start our training for the gym battle and in the morning we’ll all head to the gym.  Sound like a plan?”

“Whatever, you’re the boss,” Chole said, making circles in the sand with her claw.

“So what’s wrong?” I ask.

“Oh…uh nothing…just bored, that’s all,” Chole began to blush a little.

“You’re bad at making those little white lies Chole, I’ve known you for about two months now and I know when something is on your mind, so what’s up?”

“Well, it’s kinda embarrassing,” Chole began to make a smirk.

“Chole, whatever you say will not leave this campfire.”

“Ok *sigh* do you remember when I said that I don’t remember having a dream?”

“Sure.”

“Well, I actually did; in fact, the dream I had felt so real to me.”

“So what was it?”

Chole’s face began to turn even redder, “well, I dreamt of the time I met you.”

I began to chuckle, “Chole, you don’t have to be embarrassed about that, I think about that everyday.”

“You do?”

“Of course I do, Buddy may have been my first Pokemon, but it was you that really started my journey.”

“W-wow…I never would have imagined you would say something like that to me.”

I took out the necklace from under my shirt, “you see this necklace?  Before I left home to start my journey, my mom gave me this masterball; she said that my dad wanted me to have this.  Every time I look at it, it reminds me of the time when I told my dad I wanted to be a Pokemon trainer.  My dad then told me that I can’t start my Pokemon journey until I meet that one friend that keeps me going every single second, and I would gladly give my life just to see them one last time, even for a few seconds.”

Chole’s eyes began to water and she slowly began to float over to me and landed in my lap.  We both began to hug each other like there was no tomorrow.

Tears began to flow down her eyes and she started to choke up, “I-I’m so sorry Garrett, I’m so sorry.”

I didn’t know why Chole was apologizing; I just ignored her and continued to hug her back.

The Next Morning

The sound of singing birds and the crackling of the fire drove me back to consciousness, slowly I opened my eyes and inches from my face was Chole’s.

“Hey there big boy,” Chole smirked.

“JESUS CHRIST!!!” I quickly stood up, scared out of my mind.

“HAHAHAHAHAHA OH MA GAWD you shoulda seen your face, IT WAS PRICELESS!!”

“Heheeeveeheheheheevee,” Buddy was rolling on the ground with tears in his eyes.

Ruby, Linoone, and Treeco were doing the same thing.

“Never in my life will I wake up peacefully, there always has to be some plan to give me a heart attack.”

“Oh calm down you big baby, we already ate breakfast so all eyes on you now.”

I ate a granola bar for breakfast, just enough to get through the morning.  After I ate we all packed up our stuff and headed off.

Luckily for us, we never had one disturbance during our travels; it was just us and Mother Nature.  After 45 minutes of walking, we finally saw the “Welcome to Mauville City” sign in the distance.

Buddy, Treeco, and Linoone then raced off to the entrance while Ruby, Chole, and I stuck with a brisk walk.

When we reached the entrance I found the three runners at the right side column.

“So who won?” I asked.

Buddy and Treeco were on their backs panting while Linoone was spinning in circles and jumping.

“I guess you did,” I threw a treat at him.

Buddy and Treeco both made a “no fair” face.

“Sorry, ya gotta win something to earn this.”

Buddy, Linoone, and Treeco all made a “you’re on” face.

“Garrett I think you just doomed us all,” Chole said.

“Shit.”

We all headed our way to the Pokemon Center while we watched the three competitors do random contests to earn a treat.  In 10 minutes we reached our destination; Buddy, Linoone, and Treeco were already on the counter betting who was going to end up getting the best checkup.

“Well, I’m guessing these three are yours?”  The nurse asked me.

“Yeah, it was my fault.  Can you please give them and this little lady right here a check up please I want them ready for the next gym match,” I placed Ruby on the counter.

“Of course, and what about your Wrumple?”

“Wrumple?” I thought, and looked to my left shoulder and saw Chole as a Wrumple.

I made a “holy shit you scared me” face and turned back to the nurse.

“N-no she’s ok, she’s not gonna fight.”

“Very well, would you like a room for the night?”

“Yes, that would be great.”

The nurse gave me a key “it will be about an hour before they are all done.”

“Thank you.”

Chole and I then went upstairs and unpacked our stuff in the room.  After getting settled in, we left the Center and toured the city, we spent most of our time finding the damn gym itself.  We were checking out restaurants when I looked at my watch.

“Time to get going Chole, only 15 more minutes before the check up is finished,” I whispered to her.

“Got it,” she said back.

We walked back to the center to find my Pokemon sitting on the counter, patiently waiting for me.

“Hey there guys, and girl,” I rubbed Ruby’s head.

“Lar!”

“Your Pokemon are all fine, they are all okay to start fighting again.”

“Thank you very much,” I say while putting Ruby on my shoulder.

We all then walked outside to start our battle strategy.

“Ok everyone this fight is going to be against electric Pokemon so Ruby, you’ll be my main fighter.”

“Lar!”

“I know Chole doesn’t want to fight so my secondary fighters will be Treeco and Linoone.”

“Treeco Tree.”

“Linoone.”

“Good that everyone agrees, now lets get this battle strategy started,” I said to everyone.

“Well have fun with that, I’m going to take a nap,” Chole said crawling away.

“Don’t think so Chole, I got a special job for you,” I grin.

Moments Later

“I fucking hate you GarreeeeeEEEEEETTTT!!” Chole yelled as she ran out of a way of a flying boulder coming her way.

“STOP MOVING, YOU’RE A PRACTICE DUMMY REMEMBER?”

“I NEVER AGREED TO THIS SHHHHHHHHHIIIIIT!!!” Chole dodged another boulder.

Buddy and I both sat on a bench, eating a snack while Treeco, Linoone, and Ruby chased Chole down like it was a bunch of fat kids chasing an ice cream truck.

After I had my amusement fulfilled I called everyone back.

“Alright everyone, good practice.”

“Lar!”

“Linoone!”

“Treeco Tree!”

“FUCK *HUFF* YOU *HUFF*.”

“Oh calm down you big baby, come on, it’s time for lunch.”

I picked up Buddy and Treeco and placed them on my shoulders while Ruby sat on Linoone’s back like he was a horse.

We all then walked into the cafeteria and began to eat lunch, Linoone and Buddy ate regular Pokemon food while Ruby, Treeco and Chole ate berries and for me, meatloaf, yeah it’s a cafeteria original.

I was about to finish my lunch when the nurse came up to my table.

“Excuse me sir, but are you Garrett?”

“Yes, is there something wrong?”

“No there isn’t, but you have a phone call waiting for you.”

“I do?  Weird.”

I stepped out from the booth and walked toward the phone; I picked it up and answered it.

“Hello?”

“Garrett?  Oh ma gawd, hi there sweety, how are youuuuuu?”

“Mom?!”  I ask in a surprised tone.

“Yeah it is, you wouldn’t realize how hard it was to try and get ahold of you, I had to call almost every Pokemon Center that you’ve gone through but they told me you already left.

“Yeaaaaaah, I guess that happens sometimes,” I said still dumbfounded by the fact my mom found me.

“Who is that?  Lemme hear who it is,” Chole said, shoving my face away so she could hear the conversation as well.

“WHO WAS THAT?!!?!”  my mom asked me.

“*”Get outa here Chole,” “no, lemme hear!” “shut up!”* No one mom.”

“Ah so it’s your mom,” Chole said.

“I heard a girl; Garrett, is that your girlfriend, you have a girlfriend now?”

I looked at Chole and began to throw up a little in my mouth.

“No mom, she isn’t my girlfriend, trust me I could do better if she wa…OW!”

Chole walked away with a grin.

“So where are you now?”

“I’m in Mauville City now; we’re going for our third gym badge tomorrow.”

“Your third badge already?  Wow!”

“Yeah it’s really exciting,” I said making an imaginary gun with my fingers pointed to my head.

“So what kind of Pokemon have you caught?”

“I got a Linoone, a Treeco, and a Larvitar named Ruby.”

“OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HOW CUTE!!”

I banged my head on the table, trying to make me black out so I had a reason to hang up.

“Psst, if you get knocked out I’m robbing your ass and making a break for it,” Chole whispered to me.

“Where will you go dumbass?” I whisper back.

“…..Touche’ Mr. Douche’.”

“What was that?  Was that your girlfriend again?”

“MOM!  For the love of god, she isn’t my girlfriend.”

“Denial isn’t just a river in Egypt Garrett, but whatever I’ll let you go now.”

A celebration was going on in my head.

“Alright mom, nice talking to you.”

I began to hang up the phone when I heard hear say, “CALL ME WHEN YOU GET TO THE NEXT TOWN *Click*.”

“FUCK!!!!!”

Everyone in the cafeteria turned to me to understand what was with the outburst.  I slowly drag my feet to our table and sit down.

“What’s the matter BOYFRIEND?  Would you like a hug?  How ‘bout a cooki…*WHAM*” I punch her straight in the face knocking her out.

“Oops,” I said.

Ruby and Treeco both have their paws to their mouths while Buddy and Linoone were on the ground, laughing their asses off.

Several hours later

It was about 7:00 at night when Chole woke up; she looked out the window to see the gang practicing the game plan for tomorrow.

She slowly floated on the top bunk and looked down at her hands as they began to glow green, suddenly a small computer chip appeared in the palm of her right hand.  For ten straight minutes she stared at the chip, not moving or anything.

“*Sigh* in due time Garrett, the day will come,” her hands began to glow green again and the computer chip disappeared.

“Hey there, glad to see you’re awake now,” I said while entering the room with everybody else.

“I’ma get you back for that,” Chole said.

“I bet you will,” I said while walking into the bathroom and getting ready for a shower.

After twenty minutes I come out of the bathroom with a washcloth and some Pokemon shampoo.

“Alright you five, time for a bath,” I said.

“Excuse me?  Five?  No I don’t think so,” Chole said.

“Yes I think so, you’re filthy and you smell.”

“No I don’t, you’re crazy,” she said.

“Chole, get in this bath now.”

“No.”

“NOW!”

“Never, not in a million years.”

3 minutes later

“You’re the devil.”

I then give her one last rinse off.

“There, now you actually look decent,” I grab a towel and give it to her as she slowly floats out of the tub.

Chole then leaves the bathroom while grumbling words.  I then wash Buddy, Treeco, and Linoone without any resistance, until it was Ruby’s turn.

“Come on Ruby, you’re filthy; don’t you want to be clean?”

Ruby shook her head.

“Please Ruby, I’ll be really gentle.”

Ruby still shook her head.

“Dumbass, she’s a ground type, water isn’t her best of friends you know.”

“I know that Chole, ya don’t need to remind me.”

So after five minutes, I finally convinced Ruby to not get in the tub but I would rub her down with a wet washcloth with a little bit of soap.

“There, all done,” I said to Ruby after finishing up the little spike on her head.

“Lar, Lar!” Ruby pointed to the mirror.

I chuckled, “alright alright, one second,” I began to dry her off with a towel.

“There we go,” I then picked up Ruby and placed her on the counter where the mirror was.

“Laaarrr,” Ruby’s eyes began to expand as she saw her image and how beautiful she looked after being cleaned.

“Can’t let my favorite ground type Pokemon be dirty before a gym match, now can I.”

“Lar,” Ruby extended her arms so she can be back on the ground.

I then picked her up again and placed her back on the floor, we both exited the bathroom to find everyone already asleep.

“Cheaters, they’re going to have a better sleep then us.”

“Lar.”

I picked up Ruby and placed her on the top bunk above mine.

“Good night Ruby,”

“Lar.”

I then got into my bed and snuggled with Buddy, only a few minutes later I drifted off to sleep.

Dream Time

“Welcome to Purification’s HQ, Garrett,” Jade said next to me.

“Nice little clubhouse you got here,” I said to her.

“This isn’t some “little” clubhouse, our base is almost a mile long below ground level.”

“How the hell did you build such a huge ass building underground?”

“We have our ways, and also taxpayer’s,” Jade said with a chuckle.

“Garrett, I’ll get straight to the point, we know where Chole is located at but you’re not going to like it.”

“WHAT?!  You know where she is?  Tell me!”

“Before I tell you, how far are you willing to go to save her?”

“I’d die to save her.”

“Once I tell you, there’s no turning ba…”

“JUST TELL ME DAMMIT!”

“…Very well.”

I open my eyes to see the sun shining, everyone was still asleep though.  I sit up and begin to crack my back and neck.  I then get on the floor and begin to do a few morning exercises like push ups, and sit ups.  After finishing my exercises I go into the bathroom and took another shower.

30 minutes later

I enter our room to find everyone awake and waiting for me to return.

“Bitch, where’d you go?”

“Morning to you to, I was downstairs, having breakfast,” I said to Chole.

“Whatever, get out the food, I’m starving.”

I followed Chole’s orders and gave everyone their breakfast.

It only took 10 minutes for everyone to finish their breakfast; I then cleaned up everyone’s mess, brought Ruby, Linoone, and Treeco into their Pokeballs, returned the room key to the front desk, then walked out of the center to head to the gym.

“Hopefully those three will remember our battle plan,” I say as we walk to our destination.

“Hopefully you won’t choke during the battle *snickers* they’ll be fine I’m sure,” Chole whispered to me, disguised as a Hoothoot.

“I’ve never choked during a battle.”

“That’s good, don’t start now then.”

15 minutes later, we reach the front gates to the Mauville City’s gym.

“You ready?”  Chole asked me.

“As much as I’ll ever be,” I said.

I then open the doors to the gym and enter the building.  We make our way to the arena and standing right in the middle of the battlefield is the gym leader, shouting out orders to his Manetric.

“Um…hi there, I’m here for a gym battle,” I say to the gym leader.

“Well of course you are, what else would you be here for, selling cookies?”

“………..”

The gym leader bursts out laughing, “oh man, I got you good, you shoulda saw your face,” the gym leader begins to laugh again.

“Heh yeah you did,” I roll my eyes.

“The name’s Wattson.”

“Garrett, sir,” I shake his hand.

Wattson looks to his Pokemon, “Manetric, why don’t you sit this one out, I’ll let the others take this battle.”

Manetric then turns around and made its way to the benches to watch the upcoming battle.

“Well, you’re here for a battle, get to your side and lets get this battle going already,” Wattson pointed to the east side of the arena.

“Yeah,” I walked to my side of the arena and turned around to face Wattson.

“Alright Chole and Buddy, go sit on the benches so you can get a good view,” I say to them.

Chole and Buddy then raced to the top of the benches in order to see the whole arena.

A judge enters the arena from Wattson’s side and made his way to the middle of the battlefield.

“This will be a three on three battle, the battle will be over when either trainer runs out of Pokemon to battle with, only trainers can return Pokemon at any time.”

I had my hand on my first Pokemon’s Pokeball.

“Wattson, are you ready?”

“Of course.”

“Trainer, are you ready?”

“Yeah.”

“Wattson, please make your first choice.”

Wattson throws his first Pokeball into the air, “you’re up Voltorb!”

The Pokeball hit the ground and the shape of a giant ball began to form.  The Pokemon looked like the Pokeball itself except it had a face and it was twice the size of a regular Pokeball.

“Voltorb!” sparks began to fly out of the Pokemon.

“Trainer make your first choice now,” the judge said to me.

“Treeco don’t fail me now!” I throw my Pokeball in the air and out came Treeco when it hit the ground.

“Treeco Tree!”

The judge then looks at both of us, “begin!”

“Quick Attack lets go!”

Treeco disappears in the blink of an eye and reappears behind Voltorb, hitting his tail on Voltorb’s backside.

“Again!”

“Thundershock!”

Treeco disappeared and reappeared in front of the rolling Pokemon, he swung with his tail again and made contact but resulted in getting Treeco electrocuted and becoming paralyzed.

“You didn’t think I would come unprepared when facing an electric gym leader did you?”

Treeco already knew what I wanted him to do; he lifted his tail and tore off the anti-paralyzer.  Treeco quickly sprayed it all over himself; soon enough, Treeco stopped producing sparks.

“Very clever, Voltorb use Tackle!”

“Bulletseed!”

Voltorb rolled toward Treeco, gaining speed quickly.  Treeco aimed at his target and began to shoot seeds from his mouth.  Soon enough, Treeco’s attack slowed Voltorb down until it just became a rolling stand still.

“Now stop, and then use Quick Attack!”

Treeco stopped shooting which made Voltorb fly toward Treeco, but Treeco was too fast of a target.  He reappeared behind Voltorb and slammed the moving target right into the wall, knocking it out.

“Voltorb is unable to battle, Treeco is the winner.”

Wattson withdrew his Pokemon and threw another Pokeball into the air.

“Magnemite, you’re up!”

The ball hit the ground and the shape of a ball with two magnets on its side appeared.

“Magnemite!”

“Begin!”

“Quick Attack, lets go!”

“Use Screech!”

Treeco disappeared and reappeared behind Magnemite, but before Treeco could make contact, Magnemite turned around and used Screech right in front of Treeco.

No one could hear it but the Pokemon in the building could definitely hear it, all but Magnemite were rolling on the ground covering their ears.

“Thundershock then Tackle!”

It was a one-two hit, Magnemite directed a lightning bolt toward Treeco; as it struck Treeco, he was blown away with another attack to the gut.

Treeco couldn’t move from the after effect, he was knocked out.

“Treeco is unable to battle, Magnemite is the winner.”

I return Treeco to his Pokeball, I then take out my second Pokeball and throw it in the air.

“It’s your turn Linoone!”

The ball hit the ground and out came Linoone.

“Linoone!”

“Begin!”

“Use Sand Attack!”

Linoone rolls on the ground and then make his way toward Magnemite.  As he ran, his fur began to secrete sand which made a trail of sand in his wake.  The sand surrounded Magnemite and soon closed in on it.

“Now use Quick Attack!”

“Self Destruct!”

“Wait!  Oh shit!”

It was too late, Linoone made its way to Magnemite, no one could see what was going on because of the sand, but in the middle a bright light formed.  Linoone reappeared behind Magnemite and struck it with his head, it resulted in triggering its Self Destruct.  Magnemite blew up right in Linoone’s face and both went flying through the air, both hitting the wall and knocking both Pokemon out.

“Both Pokemon are unable to battle, it is a tie.”

We both withdrew our Pokemon and took out our last Pokemon.

“It’s now or never Garrett, I hope you saved your best for last!”

“Of course I did Wattson, it wouldn’t be fun if I didn’t don’t you think?”

Wattson laughed, “that’s so true.”

Wattson then threw his Pokeball, I copied his actions.

My Pokeball hit the ground first and out came Ruby, Wattson’s Pokeball then hit the ground and the form of three Magnemites appeared.

“A Larvitar versus my Magneton, a battle for the ages,” Wattson laughed.

“Begin!”

“Thunder!”

“Rock Throw!”

Sparks were flying out of Magneton until it released a giant bolt of lightning at Ruby all at once, Ruby grabbed the ground with both hands and pulled out a giant boulder, she then threw it at Magneton.  The Thunder attack blasted onto the boulder, busting it apart.  Although the boulder was blown up, shards of little, but still deadly, rocks were rocketing towards Magneton.

“Dodge it!”

It was too late; Magneton was assaulted with a flurry of rocks, sending Magneton flying through multiple directions like it was some kind of pinball.

“Rock Smash!”

“Thunder Wave!”

Ruby jumped up in the air but was immediately assaulted with an electric wave, paralyzing her instantly.

“Sonicboom!”

Ruby was then hit continuously with blasts of invisible energy.  Her back began to form scars that seemed like she was struck with a whip.

“Rock Throw, defense edition!”

Although it was quite difficult to practically lift up the ground because of her hits, but soon enough, Ruby began to hurl boulders up in the air.  The boulders crashed down all around her, creating a temporary shield.

“Use Thunder to break the shield!”

“Sandstorm!”

Magneton charged up its attack and then launched it toward Ruby’s shield.

“Now!”

Ruby blasted the shield in every direction, she had used the pressure from the Sandstorm to act as gunpowder and changed the boulders from a shield to a bullet.

“VEE!!!” Buddy rammed into Chole to get her out of the way of a hurling boulder coming at them.

“Ow, my head,” Chole whispered after the hit.

Not only did the shield prevent the attack from hitting Ruby, but she directed most of the shield to hit Magneton, which did its job perfectly.

After the after effects were over, Ruby was standing while Magneton was on the ground with rocks covering it like a blanket.

Ruby was panting hard for using so much energy from that last attack, she then took one last sigh and puffed out her chest to show how strong she was.

“Magneton is unable to battle, Larvitar is the winner.  The win goes to the trainer!”

“AHAHAHA, your Larvitar is a little cocky don’t you think?”  Wattson said as he returned his Pokemon.

“For good reason,” I said as I rubbed Ruby’s head.

“Lar!”  Ruby made a “in your face” pose.

“AHAHAHAHA she has spunk I’ll tell you that, she will make an excellent Tyranitar in the future”

“It wasn’t just her that won the battle Wattson, all of my Pokemon deserve credit,” I walked over to him and shook his hand.

“Of course, all of your Pokemon are unique, how do you think you won?  Luck?  Haha.”

“I could have,” I grinned.

“HAHAHAHA, that deserves you a badge don’t you think?  Here you go Garrett, the Dynamo Badge is yours.”

I took the badge from his hand and showed it to everyone.

“Thank you.”

“No thank you, now get out, hahaha.”

I give Wattson one last goodbye before leaving the gym and headed back to the Pokemon Center.

“Ya know, it’s fun being this Pokemon, I can spin my head around in a full circle.  See, look, weeeeeeee.”

As Chole spun her head, she noticed a dark figure in her peripheral vision, it was staring at the group from a distance; it then disappeared a second later.

“What the…”

“Hmm?  Something wrong Chole?”

“No, it’s nothing,” she said.

“Ok guys lets pick up the pace!”

We all then ran back to the Pokemon Center so that we can make our way to our 4th gym and get my 4th gym badge.

Chapter End Notes:Well I hope the wait was worth it, sorry it took so long to upload the chapter, I'll try to not make it a habit.
