A Gift
A few days have gone by since the destruction of Sektor Sieben's Headquarters. During those few days, Buizel had accepted the fact that he would never get Marina to be his mate. But as of right now, Ash and Marina were training against Tabitha and his Mightyena. "Mightyena ,Shadow Ball!" Tabitha shouted. "Marina, dodge and use Iron Tail!" Ash shouted. Marina dodged and her tails began to glow. "Mightyena, Takedown!" Tabitha shouted. Mightyena slammed into Marina before she could hit with the Iron Tail. "Marina, Slash now!" Ash shouted. Marina jumped up and ran forward. She hit with the attack. "Don't give up, Mightyena. Use Bite now!" Tabitha shouted. Mightyena used Bite on both of Marina's tails. "Marina, hang in there!" Ash shouted. "Mightyena, throw her into that tree." Tabitha said. Nodding, Mightyena tossed his head to the right, his jaws letting go of Marina's tails. She hit the tree hard before falling to the ground.
"Marina, hang in there! We can still win this!" Ash said. Hearing his encouragement, Marina got up. "Wow, Marina sure has gotten tougher. But my Mightyena can still beat her." Tabitha said. "Aqua Jet." Ash said. Marine used the attack and slammed into Mightyena before he even knew what happened. "Mightyena, Iron Tail!" Tabitha said. Nodding, Mightyena's tail glowed as he ran forward. "Marina, counter with Iron Tail!" Ash said as Marina ran forward, her tails glowing. The two attacks hit each other, sending both Pokemon flying. Mighyena landed on both of his feet as did Marina. "Finish it off now, Marina! Aqua Jet!" Ash said as Marina landed the attack in an instant. Mightyena fell down completely out cold. "Mightyena is unable to battle. Marina is the winner!" Brock declared. "Way to go, Marina!" Ash said as Marina looked at him and smiled.
"Mightyena, return." Tabitha said as he returned his Pokemon back to his Poke Ball. "It seems that Marina's become stronger." Dawn said. "Yeah, but I'm surprised you're still training your Pokemon for battles against Sektor Sieben. I mean, they're gone. We watched their HQ be destroyed by all types of Water Pokemon." Brock said. "Just because their HQ was destroyed doesn't mean they're gone. But we must of cut their forces in half." Tabitha said. "Yeah, but Ash should get some credit. If it wasn't for his connection with the Legendaries, we may have never found it." Tabitha said. "Well I need to go to a Pokemon Center to heal my Pokemon." Ash said as he walked toward the nearest Pokemon center with Absol, Pikachu and Marina following him.
After a little bit of walking Ash made it to a Pokemon Center. After handing over his Poke Balls along with Absol and Pikachu, he and Marina sat down. "Excuse me Ash. We have received a parcel for you." Nurse Joy said as she handed over a parcel and a note. "What does it say?" Marina asked. "Well, it says that Professor Oak and my mom are happy about the attack on the HQ. But my mom was extremely worried about me. Saying stuff like I could've been killed." Ash said as he put down the note. "Did the note say what was in the parcel?" Marina asked. "No it didn't, so let's see what's inside." Ash said as he opened it. Inside the parcel was a Thunderstone and a Poke Ball. "That's it? Must be something really good in here." Picking up the Poke Ball, he threw it and out popped an Eevee. The Eevee looked at her new master before she jumped onto Ash's lap.
"Marina, can you ask if she knows why she's here and what's with the Thunderstone?" Ash asked. Marina nodded at her mate and began to talk in her specie's language to the Eevee. Ash just watched as the two talked. "She says she's a gift to you from Professor Oak. And as for the Thunderstone, it was from your mother and Eevee says she wants to evolve into a Jolteon when she's ready." Marina said. "Well then, I want to name you until you want to evolve." Ash said as he tried to think of a name for Eevee. "Your Pokemon have been fully healed." Nurse Joy said as Pikachu and Absol ran over. Both of them stopped when they saw the Eevee. "It's okay. She's just a new friend." Ash explained. Eevee jumped down and began talking to Pikachu and Absol. "Well everyone, let's get back to the others." Ash said as he got up and left the Pokemon center with his Poke Balls.
