My Friend, in Bed, And Out by majinonifox1

Story Notes:

I'm having at least 6 Chapters for this story. Most of it is flashbacks, but you'll like it later on.

The Fresh Start

*BZZT**BZZT**BZZT**BZZT**BZZT**BZZT**BZZT**BZZT*

I reluctantly slammed on the alarm and got out of my bed, Royal Blue sheets sprawled across it.

I got up, stretched exactly the way that my body needed, and then went to the shower. As soon as I stepped in it, I turned the cold on and left the hot off. I then enjoyed the shower for a bit, and then reluctantly got out, due to the fact that it wasn't my room.

I then went to the other bed in the room and nuzzled the guy in it.

"In a minute, Frost. I'm too tired now."

That was my name. I'm Frost. The greatest Glaceon in the world. Or so Brandon thought of me. That was my trainer. The person I was trying to wake up, with no avail.

I got off the bed and fired an Ice Beam at his feet. And boy, did he wake up.

"EEEYYAAHHHHHHHH! MY FEET! FROST!"

I just snickered. "It's your own fault for not waking up when I tried in the first place!"

"Why you- GYAH!" He was in pain, as my Ice Beam had almost completely frozen his feet. Of course they were going to be painful. I sighed and went into the bathroom and grabbed the hairdryer in there and handed it to Brandon.

"Well, thanks for being sympathetic." He grabbed the hairdryer from my mouth.

As he took it, I replied "Your welcome." with a snicker.

I guess I should start out from the beginning.

(Flashback Mode)

I woke up from the sun's early rays. I squinted my eyes as they were exposed to the light of that bright orange ball in the sky. Why does it always need to be so bright?

I got up, licked my fur clean and straight, and checked around at all my brother's and sisters. They were all still sleeping.

I quietly tiptoed out of our cave, and headed to the stream where I quickly just jumped in and swam around for a while. God, I wanted to be a Vaporeon.

Just then, there was a rustling in the bushes behind me. I turned around and saw a Seviper poised and ready to strike at me.

It did so, but as it struck, it fell into the water, as I had moved out of the way just in time. I scampered as quickly as I could with wet fur to the shore, and to dry myself off.

Once I had gotten to shore, I didn't even have time to dry off before the Seviper was ready to strike again. Only this time, I couldn't escape. His gaze held me rooted to the spot. I was fearful for my life, but I couldn't move.

Just then, a claw formed in front of the Seviper's face and the Seviper was downed.

I looked at the newcomer. It was a Zangoose. I was more fearful for my life in the hands of the Zangoose, because a Zangoose kill is painful, and slow; while a Seviper's bite is slow, but it's painless after the initial bite.

I cowered in fear, seemingly about to be struck down by this creature, when all of a sudden, there was a voice. "Well, that could have been a little worse for wear."

I stopped shaking for a minute, unaware that I was doing so, and turned to the direction of the voice. It was a human. And as the human spoke, the Zangoose ran up to him and said; yes, I said 'said' "That thing won't be moving anymore."

The human laughed. "Yeah, it's dead, Caesar. However, you seemed to scare that little guy over there."

The Zangoose called Caesar looked my way and walked over slowly. "Are you alright?"

All I could say was "Eevee ee eev eevee vee evvee..." At the end of my sentence, I was frightened and moved my head down, closing my eyes as well.

And Caesar could tell I was frightened, because he moved his claw up to my head and stroked it. It was honestly the most enjoyful experience in the world.

When Caesar was done, he walked over to the human and said "We should get going. We've got a long walk through MT. Coronet."

"Yeah, I guess you're right. Well, you take care, little guy!" and with that, the human and the Zangoose walked off.

I was hesitant at first, but then again, I had always wanted to travel, and being with my family didn't really help with that. So, I ran. I ran as fast as my little legs would carry me, and took me all the way to the human and the Zangoose. As I got to them, I voiced my presence, and they turned around.

"Well, well! What do you need, little guy?" said the human,

"Eevee eev vee vee eevee. Vee Eevee vee eevee vee vee vee." I said a bit annoyed.

"He said not to call him little guy again. His parents call him Frost." The Zangoose translated.

"Okay, Frost. What do you need?"

"Vee," I started. "Eevee vee ee vee vee eevee."

"It seems he wants to come along with us."

I nodded as quickly as I could, happy that my message was being heard.

The human seemed to think about this. I whined in protest to his taking too long. He then just smiled. "Of course you can come with us! How can I turn away a cute face like that?"

I blushed a bit at his comment on my face. I don't know why, but I felt embarrassed about my face. It was a bit droopy, as I had forgotten to dry myself off. I noticed this, and started to shake myself dry. After a few tries, and not getting fully dried, I fell to the ground and cried.

The human smiled, and pulled out a Pokeball and said "Red, we need your expert drying services."

In a flash of white, a Charmeleon appeared. "So, where's the droopy one today?"

The human pointed to me, and I was afraid again. I was afraid of his method to dry people, and Pokemon.

The Charmeleon smiled at my fear and came up to me. As he did, unlike when Caesar approached me, I backed away.

He seemed to hesitate, but he then said "I know you're afraid of my method of drying. I promise. I won't burn your fur. I'm very gentle with this."

I felt the sincerity in his voice, and believed him. I then went out of the corner I had backed myself to. Then, Red picked me up and cradled me in his arms, which was pleasantly warm, not burning me at all.

In almost an instant, I felt my fur take on a poofy appearance, and Red set me down saying "There ya go. All dry. Now you just look like a fuzz ball." He said this with snicker.

I couldn't help but laugh as well. And I shook once, and my fur settled. I looked normal again.

The human laughed and said "Well, Frost, now you know all these guys, you need to meet the rest of your new family." And with that, he pulled out 2 other Pokeballs. He threw them up and released a Gardevoir, and a Marowak. Frost, meet my mom, and Derek."

The Gardevoir smiled at the word mom, and the Marowak held out his bone for me to shake, I guess, so I did.

After introductions of all the Pokemon were initiated, the human then said "So, now, the only you don't know is me. I'm Brandon. Brandon Robbins."

I smiled. This was going to be a great time with all of them, I figured in my head.
