Chapter 17
POKEMON RANCHER
2nd Installment CH. 2
Authors note: This chapter will be devoted to Crystal and Ruby. Since I don't speak Pokemon, (Ya like anybody really does) I'll just translate it from here.
Crystal: "Monsters? Who is he calling monsters?" As she looked around the ship. "I do not see any."
Ruby: "You ditz. Do you not get it!?" As she turned and gave Crystal a hurt look then placed her wing on her chest. "He was talking about us, you ditz."
Crystal: A smile crept across her lips as she stopped looking around the ship then stared at the door. "Oh. For a minute there I thought that we were in danger." She then turned to Ruby and gave her another smile. "Well with that all settled, I am going to go down there and have something to eat with my mate." To which she turned and only got a few feet before Ruby grabbed her ear wings and pulled her to look at her.
Ruby: "You truly are a ditz. Don't you get it! He thinks that we are the monsters." She said then released her hold on her ear wing
Crystal: "You already told me that."
Ruby: "And obviously, it's not getting through that water for brains head of yours. He called us monsters and it's all your fault! And now because of you, he hates us."
Crystal: "My fault? Now that is just silly." She said with a silly trill after words. "Why would my mate be afraid of me?"
Ruby: "By Mew, your such an idiot. And when did you ever think that he was YOUR MATE!?"
By that time Crystal's brain started to turn a little faster and the two erupted into a heavy argument.
Crystal: "Yes that is right! He is my mate and there is nothing you can do about it!" She said with an evil grin.
Ruby: "And what does that make me, huh! Skitty chow. Andy you have still not told me how or why you claimed him as your own!"
Brutes: "And the two of you are totally missing the bigger picture." Both girls ignored the big muscled Pokemon, until he stomped his foot on the deck and caused a small earthquake. Now both girls stopped arguing and slowly turned to the big Machamp. "I have overheard the two of you talking and you both are missing the bigger picture.
Ruby: "And what pray tell is that." She said placed her clawed hands on her hips.
Crystal: "Ya, what she said." She said with a huff.
Brutes: Brutes stepped off the last step and then fully onto the deck, shaking his head. "The reason he called you monsters isn't obvious at first, but that is hardly the main point. Your trainer hate you." The last sentence came out slow to the girls, as both their eyes went wide as those few words struck them deep.
Ruby: "A...And what makes you say that?"
Brutes: "If the two of you are as devoted to him as you claim, and he called you what he did. There is only one reason why..."
Ruby: "Tell me!"
Brutes: "You nearly killed your master." The two girls slowly turned looked at each other.
Ruby: "That is right." She pointed a claw at Crystal. "You wrapped around him so tight that he could not breath."
Crystal: "I...I...I did not mean..." Tears slowly started to trickle down her cheek. "It is just that I am going through my..." Just then she stiffened then turned and looked down at Ruby with harsh eyes. "Oh very sneaky. Thinking of blaming me for this when it was you who was trying to pull me off my mate."
Ruby: "Now do not start that mate thing in front of me again." To which the two started to bicker again until Brutes stomped on the deck again. Causing both to stop arguing and look at him.
Brutes: "Now that I have your attention. I can not believe, for one that you think that you would take a human as a mate, and two that you both are missing the bigger picture here." This time it was Brutes that placed his fists on his hips. "It's not Crystals fault that she nearly squeezed your master to death..." To which she stuck her long tongue at Ruby. "But, both your fault."
Crystal & Ruby: "WHAT!" They both turned and gave him a dagger in the eye look.
Brutes: Pointing a finger at Ruby. "If you had not tried to pull Crystal off your master, she would not have squeezed him so tight." Pointing at Crystal. "And if you hadn't used your master as an anchoring point, you would not have nearly killed him." Now pointing at both girls. "So it is not Crystal's fault or Rubies fault alone. It is both your fault."
Both the girls would just turn and look at the bigger Pokemon then slowly turn to look at each other, then back again. As if not believing what whey were just told.
Brutes: "Now I will just let the two of you think that over for a little while." He turned and started down the stairs to the galley but stopped just inside the door frame. "Oh and I recommend that the two of you stay away from your master for a while." He said without turning to look at the stunned girls, then walked down the rest of the stairs.Chapter End Notes:Disclaimer: All publicly recognizable characters, settings, etc. are the property of their respective owners.
