Story Notes:

I came up with the story one morning, and I've been frantically trying to construct it. This is my first story on AGNPH. I hope you enjoy it. I'll try to update as often as I can

By Yeshua's Hands

Yeshua walked back into the lab, disappointment evident on every crease of his face. Nick saw Yeshua's expression and was immediately concerned.

"Yeshua! What's going on!?', Nick was talking intensely, his voice switching from excitement to panic without any filtering.

Yeshua just shook his head.

"Yeshua! Did the professor say something bad to you?", Nick asked.

Yeshua took a deep breath before answering. "He said that..."

"More precise data measuring devices would be needed to begin the study.", finished a voice from behind Yeshua. Yeshua turned around and saw Professor Vandiros carrying a clipboard and a laptop. Yeshua was baffled to see the professor standing there as if what happened 20 minutes ago was a dream.

"Was that what you were upset about, Yeshua? That there was going to be a slight delay in observing the pokemon?", Nick asked.

"Yeah...", Yeshua responded. "That's... why."

"You need to lighten up a bit, man. This is going to be the observation of a lifetime", Nick stated.

Nick sprinted out of the door and down the hallway. "Come on! Let's go!", Nick yelled to Yeshua.

"Just a minute", Yeshua said back. "There's something else I have to take care of first."

"Alright. See you in a bit", Nick said. Then he was gone.

The professor started to walk out the door, so Yeshua quickly said what was on his mind.

"Professor... I thought you said..." he began.

"I said what needed to be said", the professor interrupted before walking out of the door, leaving Yeshua at a total loss for words.

It was a sunny day outside, and the temperature was very suitable for outdoor observation. As Yeshua arrived outside, he saw Nick clutching his chest, panting. He had apparently been running around the area trying to find that mew, but he hadn't been able to. The professor sat underneath one of the oak trees and began typing. Yeshua, on the other hand, felt like walking along the path leading southwest of the building. As he was walking, he was oblivious to the voice calling out to him.

"Hey! Yeshua!! Where are you going?!", Nick called out. "Did you see something!?"

Out of breath, Nick slowly walked in the direction that Yeshua had been travelling in. The professor didn't say a word, and simply shut his laptop. Then, he walked in the direction that the two of them had travelled in.

Yeshua blinked. He found himself in front of a large maple tree, genuinely perplexed. "When did I walk here?", he asked himself aloud.

"Mew!", a voice cried out.

Yeshua gasped and looked up at the nearby branch of the tree. He saw a pink pokemon sitting on the branch. The pokemon's tail was aligned in the shape of an s. The pokemon's head was tilted to the side cutely, watching Yeshua's movement. Yeshua smiled.

"It's the mew!!", a voice from behind Yeshua screamed. Yeshua turned around and saw Nick running towards him, waving frantically. Then, Nick suddenly stopped his waving and running. A look of confusion was now plastered on his face. Yeshua turned around and saw that the mew was no longer on the tree branch.

"Are you sure you didn't cheat your way through the university, Nikolai?", the professor said as he emerged from the nearby path.

"Of course I didn't cheat! What are you saying?!", Nick asked.

"The reason, Nikolai, that mew are so rarely seen is because they can become unseen. Hence the reason why your strategy of running around like a lunatic trying to spot one has been failing for the past half hour."

"Then why are we even out here...", Nick started to protest.

"Hence the reason why a more precise data measuring device was needed.", the professor interrupted.

"And just what is this more precise data measuring device?", Nick asked.

"Myself", the professor responded.

Nick turned around and walked away, muttering "That is so lame..."

The professor closed his eyes and felt the breeze around him. After a minute, he opened his eyes and turned 74 degrees to his right. The professor's eyes widened. Standing in his exact line of sight was Yeshua. Yeshua had his back turned to the professor and was currently looking intensely at the air in front of him.

"Not possible!", the professor mentally exclaimed. "How can this boy know, too?!"

The professor watched as Yeshua slowly reached out in front of him with both of his arms. Slowly, he brought both of his arms together. Yeshua felt something , but didn't see anything. Yeshua held the mass close to his body, and then turned around to see the professor with what must have been the most surprised reaction Yeshua had ever seen from him.

"Professor... I think I found the mew." Yeshua said, looking equally surprised.

"I know, Yeshua", The professor said, still in shock. "I know."
