Have you never heard that there's a river in the valley made of melting snow...? by lion_vom_silberwald

Story Notes:

The chapters in this story are in no way connected to each other, except for the fact that they are all inspired by song lyrics from "There's a river in the valley made of melting snow", by Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra & Tra-La-La Band, formerly The Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra and Tra-La-La Band, formerly A Silver Mt. Zion (ASMZ) and, at one point, The Silver Mountain Reveries. There will be 36 chapters, with none of them having more than 2000 words. Each will have its own topic, according to the individual titles. Each will have different characters and a different setting, in order to show just how many topics this song deals with. Speaking of which, in case you'd like to listen to it, you can find it on YouTube. I recommend this song; I've been listening to it for about three years now, and it just never gets old. There are so many things that come to my mind when listening to it, so now I'm trying to write them all down. Since the chapters are going to be really short, I think I'll be able to put a new one online every two days or so, depending on how much time I have. I know there are other projects I should be working on, but now I suddenly had this idea and I'd really like to see how it turns out. It's a bit hard to write stories that are so very short and still meaningful, but luckily they don't have to stand on their own, as they are mostly ways to interprete the song they are based on. Well, I hope I'll be able to update as often and as quickly as I am planning to, and I hope you'll enjoy reading and listening to "There's a river in the valley made of melting snow".

...and feel her breath... fall across my hands...

PLEASE NOTE: I do not own Pokémon, and I have to say that I'm kind of proud of it, because the idea of capturing animal-like creatures to make them fight each other is pretty sick, actually. Be this as it may, every species of Pokémon referred to in the following text and everything else that is a part of the Pokémon franchise is the property of their rightful owner, however, the actual story belongs to me. The title belongs to Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra & Tra-La-La Band/ The Silver Mountain Reveries. No copyright infringement is intended.

WARNING: This chapter contains sexual intercourse between one female Persian and one male Grovyle. If this bothers you in some way, then you might not want to keep on reading. I am not responsible for any kinds of mental damages that this story may or may not cause.

Thank you.

Have you never heard that there's a river in the valley made of melting snow...?

...and feel her breath... fall across my hands...

These were the most beautiful moments of his life, and Erek knew it. The black sky was populated by what seemed to be millions of tiny lights, shining down upon the Delcatty and the female Persian, who was sitting right next to him, her long tail intertwined with his. The grass below them was soft and cool, and a gentle wind was blowing, bringing with it the calming sounds of a small river flowing nearby. This clearing was the two Pokémon's favorite place. While Erek usually kept his head raised, looking up at the night sky with a broad smile standing on his face, the female's cheek was always resting on the soft purple fluff around his neck. Every once in a while she would let out a deep, happy purr, or give him an affectionate lick along his neck, all the way up to his cheek. Erek always felt a blissful shiver run down his spine when she did that, but he knew he had to keep complete control over himself. After all, he had not even told her that he loved her yet. Everything about her signaled that the feeling was mutual, the way she talked to him, the way she looked at him, the way she smiled at him and the way she always wanted to be close to him when they were together. Still, the Delcatty just had not been able to say it yet. Then again, he was pretty certain that she knew it anyway.

"I could sit here with you all night long," she murmured, her mouth now being close to one of his big ears. Erek closed his eyes for a moment and sighed happily.

"Do you enjoy these clear, starry nights as much as I do?" he asked lowly, to which she responded with a chuckle.

"I hardly even notice them," she admitted. "I enjoy being with you, isn't that all that matters?" The Delcatty nodded slowly. Of course, she was right. He would not have cared about the beauty around him, either, if Keana had not been there with him. The Persian made it possible for him to realize how wonderful things could be.

There was silence for a while. Erek noticed that Keana's head was resting on the fluff around his neck again. He tried to turn his head a little to look at her, but he could not see her face.

"Are you feeling a bit sleepy?" he asked. He felt the Persian rub her cheek along the back of his neck, and then he could hear her yawn.

"I am," she admitted. "It's gotten pretty late, after all..."

"You shouldn't fall asleep out here in the open, that can be dangerous," Erek said quickly. "Would you like me to walk you home?" Keana's tongue traveled from his shoulders to the back of his head, where his purple ears began.

"I don't want to bother you..." she mumbled, but Erek interrupted her:

"It doesn't bother me, really. I'd be glad to accompany you..." The Persian had taken a step forward, so that she was now looking at him. The red gem in her forehead shone almost as brightly as her smile.

"You're really sweet," she remarked, this time giving him a short lick across his cheek. Erek breathed deeply, as he could feel his heart pounding against his chest.

They walked through the calm forest together side by side, enjoying every single step. They were caressing each other with their fur, and their tails were still intertwined. Much too quickly, as it seemed to Erek, they reached Keana's den, which was a hole in the ground, covered by the thick roots of a large tree. However, the thought of seeing her again tomorrow evening cheered the Delcatty up a little.
He left her at her den and then went home, sighing softly to himself as he had still not told her about his feelings. However, he also knew he could just do it the next time they would meet, so it was not too much of a problem.

The next day came, and Erek tried to pass his time by stocking up on food and taking a bath in the river, as it was very warm. However, his thoughts were always with Keana, as usual. He kept wondering what she might be doing at the moment, and if she was missing him as much as he was missing her.
It was early in the afternoon when he decided that he did not want to wait any longer. There was nothing else for him to do, and even though Keana did not expect him to visit her before the sun would begin to set, he was certain that she would be glad to see him sooner. His fur had dried in the warm sun, so he was good to go.
On the way to her den Erek noticed a few beautiful blue flowers growing beneath a tree. He blinked, as he was not completely sure whether or not the Persian even liked flowers; still he decided to pick some of them and bring them to her. Carrying the flowers in his mouth, he kept walking in the direction of her den.

As he got closer, he suddenly heard Keana's voice. She seemed to be shouting something; maybe she was calling out for him. Erek picked up his pace and dashed through the forest, as he wanted to be with the Persian as soon as possible. He finally arrived, and he saw the big tree that marked the location of Keana's den.

The female was standing next to it, with her torso lowered and her hindquarters raised. There was a Grovyle right behind her, holding her in place with his paws on her sides, thrusting his hips against her hindquarters over and over again, letting out a low grunt every time. Erek froze. Very slowly, his mouth opened and he dropped the flowers. He was directly looking at Keana, who moaned and mewed as she kept shoving herself back against the Grovyle. When she noticed the Delcatty, she blinked and then smiled at him.

"Erek!" she exclaimed. "I... oohh... I wasn't expecting you so soon..." The Grovyle stopped his movements for a moment and looked up at Erek. He then shrugged slightly and began thrusting into the female once more, who moved her tail and wrapped it around his back.

"I'll be with you in... mmmmhh... in a moment," she panted, "we should be done soon... aahhh..." The Delcatty found himself unable to move. All he could do was stand there and stare as the Grovyle suddenly pulled his hips back. His throbbing erection was visible for just a moment, then he quickly turned the Persian over on her back. She looked up at him, spread her hind legs widely and the grass type slammed his hard penis into her again. Keana reclined her head and squealed in enjoyment as the Grovyle kept pushing himself into her, his breathing now becoming faster and deeper.

It did not take long for the grass type to let out a loud, drawn-out howl. Of course, Erek knew what was happening, as the Grovyle was now keeping his erection inside the female below him, panting while listening to her purr in satisfaction. After a few moments had gone by, he gave the Persian a lick across her nose and then stood up, his penis quickly shrinking in size. The grass type seemed to be a little weak on his hind legs as he came walking towards Erek.

"I'm done here, she's all yours," he chuckled as he moved past him and disappeared in the forest. The Delcatty had hardly even heard his words; his gaze was still resting on Keana, who had closed her eyes, a happy smile standing on her face. She was drawing deep, heavy breaths. After about a minute had gone by, she opened her eyes, turned her head towards Erek and smiled at him as if nothing unusual had happened.

"There, now I have time for you," she said. Erek watched her roll over onto her belly and stand up. She blinked, and then chuckled a little. "What's wrong?" she asked. "You look like you just saw a ghost." The Delcatty took a step towards her, then stopped. He shook his head.

"Why did you do that...?" he whispered. Keana seemed to be a little surprised.

"Why did I do what?" she asked. Erek swallowed. He had no idea what was going on, or why the Persian was acting this way.

"That... that Grovyle..." he mumbled. After a short moment, her usual smile reappeared on Keana's face.

"Well... it's a lot of fun," she spoke cheerfully.

"But I love you!" Erek shouted all of a sudden. He felt like his legs were going to give way, so he sat down on the ground, still shaking his head. "You can't just... I... I mean..." Keana frowned.

"You do what?" she asked. The Delcatty lowered his gaze.

"I love you," he mumbled. "I thought you knew that..."

"You... love me?" Keana repeated. Very slowly, she shook her head. "I'm sorry, I don't think I understand what you mean..." Erek looked up at her again. Her expression really did seem to show heartfelt confusion. He blinked.

"What's not to understand about it?" he asked, now feeling nervous, sad and angry at the same time. Apparently, the Persian was mocking him.

"I've never heard that word before," she explained. "What does it mean?" Now it was confusion that seemed to be the strongest feeling within Erek.

"You've never heard...?" he began, but he did not need to finish the question, as the expression on the Persian's face already affirmed it. He sighed deeply. "When I say that I love you, then I mean that... that I want to always be together with you... and... you're the most important person in the world to me, and... I'd never want to spend time with any other female than you, and... it... it hurts me when you do things like that with other males..."

"It hurts you?" Keana repeated. Erek nodded and then looked at the ground. "Why is that?" She sounded concerned, and the Delcatty knew she cared about him. She really was not acting this way to make a fool out of him.

"Because... I love you," he replied, knowing that this answer was not helpful at all. "I can't explain it, it... it's something you have to feel..."

"Well, I've certainly never felt anything as strange as that," the Persian said in a more unburdened tone. A soft chuckle followed her words, and Erek felt her give him a lick across his cheek. "Come on now, be happy again! It's not like anything has changed..."

"But... I thought you loved me, too," he mumbled. "I had hoped... I..." He raised his head again. Keana was smiling at him. "I had hoped I could become your mate..." The Persian blinked.

"I don't know what that means," she replied with a giggle. "You're using weird words today, I've never heard any of those things before." Her tail began wagging as she went on: "Would you maybe like to have sex with me? I'm sure that will make you feel better." Erek blinked slowly.

"No," he said tonelessly. "No, there would be no point in that..."

A moment of silence followed.

"You're strange," Keana remarked.
Erek did not reply.

Chapter End Notes:This ends the twentieth chapter. I'm pretty sure that the way Keana acts can be interpreted and criticized in a variety of ways, since such a short story probably isn't detailed enough to adequately characterize a protagonist... well, in the end it doesn't matter too much. What's important is the kind of miscommunication that is going on in this chapter. I hope you've enjoyed reading it, and if you'd like to comment, please write a review or send an email to [email protected] . And please be free, whoever you are...
