The First Trainer by mechsrule

Story Notes:

Yeah. I'm back. So anyway, I haven't made a verdict on whether or not I will revive NTG. I have decided a few things about it though. First, this is only if I do decide to revive it, it will be an almost total rewrite. The whole past thing was stupid so that will be dropped. So that can be considered non canon. However, this story is canon on what is non canon. If that makes sense. If you wanna know what's going on, read NTG for all the failure that it is. The warnings and such may or may not change as the story goes (depends how I feel), I haven't mapped it all out yet. This story shows how the first trainer came to be, and highlights one of my personal favorite psychic type Pokemon, Xatu. Anyway, I hope you like my story.Hey disclaimer:Disclaimer: All publicly recognizable characters, settings, etc. are the property of their respective owners. Chapter 6

"I've never been this far from home." Yuki informed the group. "I thought being in a snow cave was warm, but this so much better. I never want to go back."
The group, Sara, Nat, Wally, and Yuki had left the mountain and were thawing in the foothills. Yuki was especially happy, dancing about in last years leaves.
"Well I didn't know it could be that cold." Wally said.
"Let me come with you!" Yuki demanded suddenly.
"Aren't you happy here?" Sara asked. "Oh wait silly question."
"Please!" Yuki begged.
"Alright. This way I'm not the only girl." Sara said.
"Yay!" Yuki cheered.
"We'd best be going quickly." Nat said. "Your dad just woke up."
The storm grew in intensity, the howling winds reaching them. They turned and ran down the mountain, not an easy task without a trail but they did it.
"That should be far enough." Nat said. The wind was far behind them. "My home shouldn't be too far."
"I can't wait to see it!" Sara smiled.
"I'm going to try to blank us out so they won't be able to detect us." Nat said "So try not to think so hard. Just focus on walking."
"My parents taught me a technique to do that. I'll be fine." Wally replied. He sat down and closed his eyes. After a minute he stood up again, a glazed look in the eye. "There. Now I'm invisible."
"No real psychic would fall for that. Come on." Nat said leading the way.
Wally followed sulking. After a couple more hours, they stopped.
"Just ahead is my home. Hewn from the very rock itself. The great city of the Xatu!" Nat said with a flourish. He pushed back the blocking foliage. Before them was a mighty stone city. Massive stone towers and buildings stretching into the sky. Elegant buttresses and statues adorned the place. Despite the beauty, the travelers fell to their knees in sadness. What once was a beautiful metropolis was covered in thick vines. Trees were crushing homes. No one was there, and it was obvious no one had been there to care for it for a long time.
They walked the empty streets, searching for signs of life, but none were to be found save the plants now destroying the city.
"How did they make these? They look like a solid block." Sara asked.
"This used to be a mountain, and they used their powers to make buildings out of the rock. As the population grew, they built downward. They didn't need stairs because they're birds so it worked well." Wally explained.
"Then where are my people." Nat wondered.
"I'm not sure. I didn't hear of anything. Maybe they migrated?" Wally suggested.
"I don't see any stuff so maybe they took it with them." Sara added.
"Maybe. Or the city got too small and they moved to a bigger mountain. If no one knows they moved, then we may not be able to find them."
"Can we go somewhere else? It's too quiet here and I feel like I'm being watched." Yuki whined from her perch on Sara's shoulders.
"We can stay here for a few days and decide what to do. There is plenty of food in the surrounding area to sustain us." Nat said.
"And up there we'll be safe." Wally agreed.
"Let's split up to find food and meet back here in an hour." Nat said.
"Okay. I'll go explore." Sara said walking off. "Come on Yuki."
"I'll gather food." Wally left.
"Then I'm on water." Nat signed. Walking through the streets of his native home, he felt very lonely. The empty buildings were like skeletons. Suddenly he turned. "Who's there!"

"Now what do we do?" Sara whispered. When she was out of sight, she went into a building and sat down in a corner. "This was our last hope and now it's gone."
"What's wrong?" Yuki asked.
"Human's and pokémon aren't supposed to be friends. That's why we're looking for a place to live where we can be. But every place we've been to we've had to leave. It's not fair." Sara said holding Yuki.
"I'm sure it'll be fine." Yuki said.
"I don't want to upset you. I just want to find a home."
"Well I left home to come with you cause it's better." Yuki said. "Maybe traveling is your home."
"But we can't just live forever traveling. That's not a home."
"Home is where you want it to be and for me that is with you guys." Yuki said.
"Thanks Yuki."

"Man this place is creepy." Wally said to himself. "And of course I start talking to myself."

After a few hours, the group joined up again, and Nat flew Sara and Yuki a few stories up to keep them safe from anything strolling around the city. Wally was agile enough to climb up there without help. The settled down, started a small fire and ate the food Wally had managed to gather, remaining mostly in silence.
"Funny, this is the first house I've been in, in a while. It feels like forever." Sara said finally once they had finished and night had fallen.
"So where now?" Wally asked.
"I'm not sure. We could try to figure out where the Xatu went and follow them. But to do that, we need to find out why they left."
"I can answer that." A voice from outside said. A black arm with white claws reached from the darkness grabbed Sara and pulled her outside. In an instant Nat and Wally were chasing after the assailant, through the city streets until they lost sight of her and had to stop.
"What was that?" Wally asked.
"A Sneasle. They're weak, but since they're a dark type, I can't touch them. I can't even read their minds or sense them, which is probably why I didn't notice them sooner. There could be thousands of dark types here and I wouldn't know it." Nat explained, gasping for breath.
"Then how do we find it?"
"We don't. I can't sense it at all. We'd just have to bump into it."
"But you can find Sara right?" Wally asked.
"Good thinking." Nat said surprised.
He stared for a second then ran off, leading Wally through the city. They stopped and found just why the Xatu had left. In the city center was a massive group of dark types, ranging from Murkrow to Umbreon, and in the middle, on a crude stone throne, sat a very overweight Tyranitar. It easily had 600 extra pounds on it, in addition to its normal weight, its rolls literally spilling over the sides of the throne. It looked quite pleased because beside it was a table with a half naked Sara, stripped of anything below her waist, shackled to it. The gag in her mouth prevented her from screaming, but the tears streaming down her face were enough.
"You're going to let her go right now." Nat demanded.
"Or else we're going to kick every single one of your butts so hard, your teeth will ache." Wally added.
"Okay, I'm here!" Yuki said finally catching up, her short legs not helping much.
"Oh so you're her friends she said would come to rescue her? Well, I'm glad you came, we wouldn't want you to miss the show." The Tyranitar said getting up, a surprising feat for its bulk. It walked over and casually put a hand on Sara's back. "I was just about to brake in the new slave. It's been ages since our last bitch, died of something.... What was it?"
"We think you were too big and tore her, and the bleeding led to death sir." Said a Houndour.
"Ah yes. She was good while she lasted though. We filled her up good didn't we boys?" The Tyranitar went on. "I hope this one lasts longer." He added, scratching his crotch, positioning himself behind Sara.
"Dude? Gross! You want to have sex with a human? That is so disgusting." Wally said making a face.
"Touch her again and your life will be forfeit." Nat threatened.
"No, I think not. If your entire race couldn't stop up, what makes you think you can." The Tyranitar taunted.
"I can already foresee your bloody corpse." Nat declared, charging the Tyranitar, wings up like fists. Wally followed behind, while Yuki summoned a hail storm. Within seconds however, the entire group of dark types had dog piled on our hero's and they were utterly helpless as the Tyranitar went back to stroking himself and patting Sara's back.
"They say the first time for humans is painful at first, though I suspect at your size, it will stay that way for a long time." Tyranitar whispered in her ear making her cry more. It was worse for Nat because he could hear her desperate, confused thoughts.
"What does he mean? What is he going to do? He can't possibly mean to fit that in me? It's bigger then my leg!" She thought desperately.
"I can't wait any longer, time for the moment of truth, will she hold up?" Tyranitar smiled, shifting back, getting ready to thrust forward and rape Sara. He never did because he continued shifting back and fell to the ground, dozens of wounds seemingly come out of nowhere, now bleeding freely. He was dead long before his fat stopped jiggling. The rest of the gang rushed over to their fallen leader, while Nat, Wally, and Yuki ran over to Sara and untied her. They ran a few feet away and Nat threw up a shield around them, a good thing too, because soon after bullets filled the night air, killing every last dark type. Then some bright lights were turned on, illuminating the area and forcing them to shield their eyes.
"Sara, are you okay?" A human in the group asked.
"Dad?" Sara said confused.
"I've come to take you home." The human said calmly.
"I don't want to." She said. "Nat!" she cried. He looked down, pensive looking, the struck her in the side of the head, knocking her out.
"What did you do that-" Wally began before being felled by a similar blow. Several humans raised their guns at him, but the leader, and apparently Sara's father raised a hand to stop them.
"You might hit my daughter."
"I am talking with my mind so you will understand." Nat said telepathically. "I am sorry for taking your daughter, but understand it was on her wishes that I did so. I thought I could protect her out here, but this has just proven I cannot. While it pains me to separate from my dearest of friends, I know it is best for her. We can't keep running when there is nowhere to run too. So I will be leaving now. Bring her home and take care of her like I couldn't. The boy is human, but was raised by pokémon. I hope he will be treated well by you; he would only be a burden to me. Please do not make me regret giving them up and take care." Nat said. He picked up a shocked Yuki and teleported away.
"Should we follow him?" a soldier asked.
"No. We got what we came for. My daughter is safe and that's all that matters. And no point in fighting a Class B when we don't have to." Sara's father said. He picked up his daughter in his arms. "Time for us to go home."

"Why did you do that?" Yuki demanded. They had teleported just out of the village and Nat had simply sat on a root, looking at the ground.
"I gave my reasons. And I couldn't teleport all of us away anyway." Nat replied shortly.
"But without Sara or Wally, where do we go?" Yuki asked beginning to cry.
"I am going to search for my people. You can join me if you wish, or go where you please. I will be leaving in the morning so know what you plan to do by then."
"I'm going with you. If we get separated we may never meet again. I want to follow Sara but I know I can't. Why is it when I finally am happy everything falls apart?" Yuki cried.
"It'll be alright." Nat comforted. "It's better this way."

"You must be one well rested girl." Wally said, seeing Sara waking up.
"What does that mean?" Sara growled, and then got up confused. She was in a room. A real room made of wood, cement board, plaster, paint and nails. And she was in a real bed, with real Mareep wool blankets. "Where are we?" She asked her eyes bugging out.
"You always seem to be waking up last." Wally answered. "And I'm not sure, the guards won't answer me. Probably the language thing. I can guess a medical building somewhere. Some woman came in a while ago, and started crying, but your dad I guess took her out again. It's been pretty boring and lonely with no one to talk to and nothing to do but wait for you to wake up."
"Hello?" Sara called loudly. The door opened and a heavily armed soldier walked in.
"May I assist you?" He asked. Sara wasn't too confused. Soldiers usually were friendly to her since her dad was so high ranking in the military.
"Yes. I want to know where I am and how I got here." Sara said.
"You are in Grün City. You were found with your kidnapper who returned you without a fight."
"You hurt Nat?" Sara cried balling her fists.
"The enemy got away before we could. He's still at large but don't worry, he can't get you here." The soldier said.
"But I want him to get me! I want to be with him not be here!" Sara whined.
"You just have slight Stockholm syndrome, something that many captives get, they form a relationship to the captor and begin to care for them. Don't worry, the psychologist should be able to help you." The soldier said.
"There is nothing wrong with me! He's my friend!" Sara said quietly.
"Is there anything I can do Miss?" The soldier asked.
"Get some food! I'm hungry." Wally said.
"I don't understand." The soldier replied.
"He said he wants some food."
"Berries, meat, or bread would be good." Wally added, Sara repeated this and the guard left slightly confused, but a good soldier didn't question things.
"Now what do I do. Nat is sure to rescue me and he'll never make it." Sara said crying.
"Sara. I know this isn't the best time, but he isn't coming. He gave you up willingly. I'm not sure what happened, but I know he knocked us both out and then we were back here. Your dad who thought I couldn't understand mentioned that he said you would be safer here and left without a fight." Wally said quietly.
"Why would he do that? We're friends and friends don't abandon each other."
"Because he cares about you and your safety. That Tyranitar was a wakeup call. He realized we couldn't keep you safe but here you would be. This is not so great for me. I don't belong here, you do. But since we're just two humans, one who can't be understood, and another who is barely psychic, we're stuck. Better get used to it, and I'd better learn human."
"So we just live here? In lame suckage?" Sara said.
"No. We train. Spend all the time we can, training. Getting stronger. Then, once we're strong enough, we escape and find him again so we can continue our journey, but this time be strong enough to actually make a difference" Wally said.
"And give him a good smack for deserting us!" Sara agreed.
Chapter End Notes:Yeah. The story is XXX now. I needed a good reason for Nat to give Sara up and this was it. Fear not for the story is far from over
