Well, that's a wrap for the December Holidays contest. While we only had one entry, cge0361's piece Any Port was yet again another wonderful read this festive season. I highly recommend everyone give it a read.
To kick off the next year, here's the prompt for the January contest: Parenthood. The oldest, most loving, rewarding, exhausting experience since the beginning of time. This month we'll be exploring what it means to build or raise a family. As a special treat, this month there will be a prize for first place: a choice of a game on Steam, courtesy of Anonymless. The list of choices includes gems like Terraria, L4D2 and FTL, so be sure to get your entries in!
The Parenthood contest will end on January 31st, 11:59 pm, with the usual allowances for time zones. Make sure to tag your entries with the contest category. If first place does not wish to claim their game, a story of their choice will be featured alongside the winning entries.

I was actually discouraged from participating: I have no need for more vidyas. From the turn-out, it seems that enticement isn't the issue but actually having writers wanting to write on these prompts.
