Untold Tales of Travelers by testa

I Promise You...REVENGE!

Amidst a forest sat an area that many pokemon called home. With the noon sun shining down through the crack in the top of the trees several different species walked about, some in groups, some in pairs, and some by themselves. All of them were wearing smiles on their faces, but none had a smile quite as big as a quilava, just evolved a week ago, who was walking along with a few other mon.

Directly by his side was a kirlia, her name was Niska and she was holding his paw, claiming the title of his girlfriend. To his other side was a cyndaquil; she was Catharine and was his sister. Behind him was a larvitar, her name was Tia and she was his friend. By the larvitar's side were a bagon, named Bart, and a monferno, named Montana.

The quilava's name was Blaze. He was smiling big, "So...what you guys wanna do?"

Bart smiled, "I know! Let's go to that little spot with all those berries! We can eat a bit, and they have those rocks that we can practice fighting on."

Montana rolled her eyes, "You're obsessed with fighting...I thought bagons were supposed to be obsessed with flying."

Blaze snickered, "He is...he flies a bit every time he gets knocked off."

Bart grumbled, "I don't get knocked off that much."

Niska held a paw over her mouth, giggling, "Yeah...just every 4 out of 5 rounds."

The monferno smirked, "And that's pathetic."

Bart glared, "You won't be so smug when I evolve into a big dragon...than you'll be wishing you had been nicer to me...and you'll be begging to be my gal."

Montana rolled her eyes, "Not likely...and you are close to being a big dragon...you already have the breath." Bart blushed, looking away, breathing into a paw and sniffing, not smelling anything wrong with it.

Blaze chuckled, "Still...I think that's a good idea Bart...let's get going!" He started to run for the spot, the others following behind him.

*****

Blaze smiled, as he yanked Bart off the rock and to the grass below. "Ha! I win!"

The bagon grumbled, "You just got lucky!"

"Luck nothing...I haven't lost once." He chuckled, "Not even to Montana."

The monferno gulped down a berry, "ehh...I was hungrier for food than victory." Blaze rolled his eyes.

Niska got up, "Hey Tia...wanna go a round...or are you going to chicken out?"

Tia shook her head, "I'll chicken out thank you."

Niska shook her head, "Little wimp...come on...don't be such a baby."

Blaze shook his head, "Come on Niska...she doesn't want to."

Niska huffed, "Fine...Bart...want to lose again." The bagon leapt on the rock for his answer.

While the two started sparing, Tia smiled, "Thanks Blaze."

The quilava nodded, "It's nothing...we're friends after all." He heard her sigh, but he paid little mind, munching on a berry.

"Hey Blaze." Catharine spoke up, "What are you gonna do when you grow up?"

Blaze laid back, thinking about the answer to that question, "I don't really know...maybe I'll go and make myself a kingdom." He chuckled, "That's what I'll do. I'll make myself a nice little kingdom, and I'll call it...umm...Egnever."

"Egnever?" Catharine asked, "That sounds so weird." Montana nodded in agreement.

Blaze shrugged, "It just came to me."

"I'd be the queen right?" Niska walked up after a victory, seeing him nod, "Than I think Egnever is a good name." Niska sat down, pushing Tia out of the way. "I'd be queen of Egnever, with my handsome male by my side as a great king."

Blaze blushed lightly, smiling from the words. His blush only grew when Niska kissed him hard. Bart smirked, whooping, getting tripped by a psychic for it. Catharine giggled, smiling at the two. Montana rolled her eyes, and Tia stayed quiet. When the kiss finally broke, the male fell on his back, getting a giggle from his girl. "Th...thanks." He stuttered out. Niska just nodded, petting his tummy.

Bart looked up, "Hey...it's getting late...we should get home now." The other's looked up before nodding and heading off.

When the two siblings got home, they quickly joined the rest of their family. Their mother and father were typhlosions. A third typhlosion lived in the den, he was the eldest sibling. And another cyndaquil was in the home, Catharine's twin brother.

Blaze smiled, "Hey mom, dad. Hey Binge." The sibling typhlosion smiled, giving his little brother a small noogie. Blaze laughed, "Yo Rick." Blaze's younger brother smiled, as they gathered around a pile of berries. Blaze and Catharine ate the least in the family, since they had already eaten during the day.

The mother smiled, "How was your day?"

Catharine smirked, "Niska gave Blaze a big kiss." Blaze blushed up.

Their father laughed, "That's my boy!"

Binge gave his bro a punch in the arm, "Way to go Blaze! You sure are a male in this family."

The mother typhlosion smacked both male typhlosions' heads. "Both of you stop it."

The two laughed lightly, smiling at her, "Yes ma'am." They said in unison.

Blaze ate a berry, "I also managed to win every little sparing match we had today." The response to that was still good, but much less enthusiastic compared to the praise for the kiss. "You should have seen it...Bart was getting his rump kicked all the way to Kyoko and back."

His father grinned, "Yeah...Bagon really aren't much...but they evolve into some pretty strong guys. I suggest making sure you don't make him mad at any time." Blaze chuckled, nodding in agreement.

The family smiled at one another, eating up happily as they talked about the days of the other kids. Laughs shared at some of the funny moments, before eventually night descended and the family retired to sleep. Blaze smiled as he wandered in his dreams, unable to imagine how his life could get better.

*****4 months later*****

Blaze yawned, getting up to greet another day. He took in a deep breath and went outside to absorb the first few rays of sunlight. As he let the bright beams warm up his already warm body, he looked at the sky. He was now missing one friend, Tia. She had just mysteriously left their "town" one day, no one knew why though. A search was organized, Blaze and his friends among the lookers, though Niska didn't seem too concerned about the larvitar.

But with no sign of her, everyone gave up the search, Tia's parents heartbroken from it. Blaze sighed, he missed her, though Niska was obviously uncaring about it and Bart and Montana seemed kind of neutral. Tia really had only been his friend, so he couldn't expect them to really care that much.

He shook his head; there wasn't a point to worrying about Tia now. She may have been a timid girl, but she wasn't a wimp like Niska liked to believe. He was sure he'd see her again...maybe she'd even have a male by then. Blaze laughed at that, she was way too shy to actually score a male, she'd run faster than even the fastest pokemon in the world if she was hit on.

He sighed, wondering what he was going to do today. "Morning Blaze."

He turned to his mother, "Morning mom."

She smiled, "Wanna join the family for a little breakfast out?" Blaze smiled, nodding, "Sure." The two nodded, waiting for the rest of the family to get up, before heading off to a spot that they frequented when they ate away from home.

*****

Blaze smiled, gulping down an oran berry. "Ahh!" he chuckled, helping his little brother get a berry. "Thanks Blaze." The cyndaquil said before chomping down. The family smiled happily, enjoying their time together.

But the fun was quickly cut by the sound of voices, footsteps, and brush rustling. "Blaze, Catharine, Rick...find cover." The three young did as told, Catharine hiding with her big brother, her twin take refuge in a shrub away from them. The three typhlosion all took up defensive positions, waiting for the source of the noise to appear.

And it was a shock to see the source. None of the family could tell what the things were. Some looked almost human to the experienced parents, but...they had features of several different pokemon. One had a spearow beak; another had sandslash spines on his...or her back. And with them were...what looked like pokemon, only drastically changed, especially in coloration. All the humanish things wore the same clothing though: a red shirt with a big black B, that looked like a bunch of DNA strands, on it and same colored pants.

One of the "humans" pointed at the typhlosions, "You's comin wid us mon."

"Not likely." The father snapped back.

"Den we's gonna force ya mon." he smirked an evil and malicious grin, "Get'dem." The weird things charged, and the typhlosions let loose flamethrowers. A charmander, which was all green, along with a blue and fearow winged Pikachu and red caterpie all unleashed a watergun, stopping the fire attack cold. Everyone in the family was stunned by it, but couldn't dwell on that long, as several of the humans and pokemon began melee combat.

"Binge...be careful!" shouted out the mother typhlosion, seeing her son pressed by a clawed human. "Tirian! Help him!" she pleaded to her mate, but he was engaged with a purple leafeon and black scyther. She herself was fighting off a human with wings, and more importantly, scizor claws. But as she managed to use a flamethrower to torch his face, she screamed out in pain. From behind, a lopunny with green and red fur coloring and scyther blades instead of paws...had impaled her.

"Mom!"

"Darma!" The typhlosions mate ignored his opponents, which resulted in the leafeon using a leaf blade on his neck. With crimson blood splurting from his wound, the male collapsed backwards.

"Daddy!" Rick rushed from his hiding spot, towards his parents. "Rick no! Run away!" Binge screamed out, feeling his leg impaled by the human's claws. But it was already too late. One of the larger humans slammed his foot on the cyndaquil, crushing him. Binge glared, "Damn you!" He unleashed a fire blast, incinerating his human opponent, but before he could attack again, his arms were hacked off, followed quickly by his head.

In mere moments the fight was over. Blaze and Catharine lay in their hiding spot, staring in horror at what had happened. Their entire family was gone...but before they could absorb the horrid sight any more, they both felt a sharp pain to the back of their heads, before falling unconscious.

*****

Blaze groaned, getting up and shaking his head, which spiked the pain. "ouch...where...where am I?" He looked around, noticing he was in a small container. Out of the 6 walls five were plain white. He had a small dish filled with food, and another with water. And that was it, with the exception of one wall being clear, and hard. "Don't bother trying to escape. That door is able to withstand any and all attacks."

One of the strange humans appeared on the other side of the door, smirking. "Welcome to Biogen vermin...where we create life as it should have been made." He cackled, "I wonder what you'll change into when we are done with you my little quilava friend."

Blaze snarled, "Who are you!? Where's my sister?"

"Shut up retch...you don't give orders around here. You take them." He cackled, leaving, "Alright...let's give this one Serum Alpha. This one will get Serum Gamma. And he..." The human had returned, pointing to Blaze, "will get Omega. And this one will get Beta." He pointed to another pokemon captive.

"But Omega has the least survivability rate."

"So? If he dies...he dies." Silence prevailed, before the human burst into laughter. "Oh I loved that movie!" He looked in on Blaze, trying to keep a straight face, "I must break you." He broke into more laughter.

"Okay sir. Omega for this one...with Alpha, Beta, and Gamma." Silence prevailed again soon after. Blaze wasn't 100% sure what was going on, but he had a feeling that they wanted to make him into one of them. He tried to break out, but like the human had said, it wasn't going to budge Blaze shook his head and curled up in a corner, beginning to cry. "mommy...daddy...Binge...Rick...they're all...gone..." with his anger burned out, there was only sadness to take him into its cold embrace.

The little mon could only cry more and more, feeling the weight of what had happen flatten him. Blaze felt so alone now, but then he remembered...Catharine was still alive. He shook his head, drying his eyes, he had to be strong. He had to save his baby sister. He started trying to think of a plan of action. ~I know...I'll wait till they open the door...they have to if they want to give me that serum...and then...I'll quickly kill them and get Catharine...then we can sneak out. Easy as pie."

"Okay...Omega is ready...get the specimen." Blaze smirked upon hearing that, waiting for his chance. But it never came. He wasn't the first to get the idea, and so a switch was in place to give a numbing shock to him, preventing him from doing anything. Blaze could only groan out in pain from the pacification.

"Heh...little shit didn't know what hit him." The human cackled, carrying Blaze into a room, and putting him on a table. Dazed from the shock, Blaze didn't see anything, nor did he feel the need prick. But moments later, he felt a burning sensation starting to take over.

Upon being returned to his cell, the sensation had spread, and hurt. He screamed out in pain, rolling around in an attempt to put out the agonizing fire that was filling his body. The pain only grew though, burning his blood, incinerating his flesh, charring his bone, reducing his organs to ash. Words alone weren't enough to describe the agony that rocked his body. And it still grew in intensity, sending tidal waves of pure pain through his little body. "AAAARRRRGGGGGHHHH!!!!"

*****

Blaze groaned his body numb. He couldn't remember much, just searing pain that felt like he was dying. He wobbly got onto all fours, before his eyes went wide. His normal blue over tan fur was gone. He quickly examined his body, and soon discovered his fur was completely changed. His normally blue fur had become as black as night, while his tan fur had become as gray as a charred forest.

"So you survived? Amazing...you might have a future yet my little puddle of piss." The human was back smirking. "So that's 3 for 3...will we be 4 for 4?" he went away, "Nope...looks like this one didn't survive the change. Oh well...weaklings have no place in this grand future."

Blaze blinked, looking outside, but soon wished to Arceus, Darkrai, Palkia, Dialga, and every other deity like pokemon that existed that he hadn't. While walking back past Blaze's cell, the human was seen carrying a cyndaquil that bore red over blue fur. But despite the change, Blaze recognized her as Catharine. "No! Catharine!" he stumbled to the door, looking to his sister. "Wake up sis! Wake up!"

The human smirked, "Hey...open the trash lid..." a subordinate did as told. "Okay...if I make this...we're all gonna get laid." He cackled lightly, before taking a small jump up, tossing the dead female's body toward the trash. It caught on the edge, but fell onto the floor. "Darn! Oh well...toss her back, I wanna try again."

Blaze could only watch in horror, as his sister's body was so callously handled. Tossed around, used as a ball in the twisted game. His eyes began to water, before he pried himself from the door, back into his corner, where he began to cry again. "Catharine! No! No!" he screamed and cried on, hearing the human laugh as he finally made the shot.

*****

Blaze shook lightly, sniffling as he wiped his eyes. He had to escape. His sister was dead, his mother was dead, his brothers were dead, his father was dead. His family was gone, but he was still alive, and he couldn't just lay down and die...not after what his parents and brother died for...he owed it to them to get out of here.

"So...you're still being resistant huh? Well you know...don't think that's going to last...since you're a surviving Omega...you're valuable. So we'll just make you obey us." The human smirked, cackling as he walked away.

Blaze smirked than, ~Thanks...you stupid fuck...~ he focused. His change didn't just affect his appearance; it also had given him access to psychic powers and attacks. And during his incarceration, he had learned to hone them to great effect. He slowly peeled into the walls of his cell, towards the front of it, just above his door. He could feel a switch, the switch that controlled his cell's shocking mechanism. He grinned evilly, as he severed the cord from the button, making it impossible for him to be shocked and rendered helpless.

"Alright than little crap face...time to get your attitude adjustment." The human cackled, pushing the button. Feeling the button pushed, Blaze fell on his side, hiding his grin. "Now now now...don't worry...you'll like working for Biogen." He opened the door, and prepared to reach in. But then a loud sound, the sound of tearing metal was heard.

The human looked back, seeing a sliver of the wall had been bent down, razor sharp point aimed for him. Before he could do anything a psychic blast sent him right into the makeshift weapon. He looked down, blood starting to leak from his mouth, as the wall sliver was through his body, "Wh...how?"

Blaze leapt down from his cell, "I must...break you." A flamethrower followed, torching the body. Blaze didn't have time to let the victory get to his head though, as more of the Biogen men charged. Blaze saw how the doors to the cells were opened; buttons had to be pressed with the pulling of a handle. Blaze happily freed the other captives, who quickly went for their tormentors. One of the poor pokemon to be captured was a mightyena, "Wow...great work..."

Blaze smiled, "Thanks..." He ducked when the canine unleashed a shadow ball, striking a Biogen pokemon behind the quilava. "Thanks...again."

The mightyena smirked, "My pleasure...I'm Bane."

"Blaze."

"Well...I think we should get out of here before we get to know one another."

Blaze nodded, and the two quickly made way for the exit, following the other escaped pokemon. Chaos erupted in the Biogen base, with grunts dropping left and right in the confusion of what was happening. The escapes was made easier thanks to their unpreparedness for an attack of any kind.

Leaving the base in upheaval as some of their own pokemon turned on them, Blaze, and his new ally Bane quickly made for safety.

*****

Bane smiled, "Thanks a lot man...I wasn't wanting that when I went around traveling."

Blaze nodded, "welcome..."

Bane nudged him, "Hey...don't worry. If those Biogen freaks try to come after you, they'll have me to contend with too. I've got nowhere to be, so I should at least make sure my new found friend can get home safe. I'm sure your family is worried about...y...ou..." Bane noticed the look in Blaze's eyes. "I'm...sorry."

"It's okay...you didn't know..." Blaze clutched his paws, "Damn Biogen!"

Bane sighed, "Still man...I'll make sure we both are safe...at least as far as your home. You have friends there right?"

Blaze lightened up instantly, "Yeah...I do...they'll take me in...I know they will." He smiled, "I had forgotten them when I...lost..." Blaze fell silent. Bane shook his head, than began to talk about his travels hoping to lighten the quilava's mood. It worked, and even got him talking of his own doings, skipping any story that involved his family.

The walk toward Blaze's home wasn't particularly long, and when they got there, Blaze felt renewed hope.

Hope that was subsequently dashed when he ran into the first pokemon. "What the hell is that thing!?" after that exclamation, they ran away. Blaze was stunned into silence, Bane the same. "I...don't believe it...yeah you got purple flames, black and grey fur...but you're not that bad."

Blaze shook his head, "It's...it's just that they didn't know me." He nodded, grasping back at hope, "Come on...let's find my friend Bart..." he started off, smiling as he clung to his hope.

But it didn't last, "What the...st...stay away from me Blaze...I don't know what the fuck happened to you...but there's no way its good..."

And with Montana with Bart, she too shared the same disgust, "Get outta here you freak! Whatever the fuck you did...we don't want any part of it!"

With his two friends back in his sight, Blaze could barely stand up. "They...they were...my friends...and they just...its still me under this...it is..."

Bane growled, "They aren't friends...come on Blaze...surely there's someone whose really a friend."

"Ni...Niska will...she's my girl...she loves me...she won't mind this body." He quickly ran for Niska's home. "She has to still love me...she has to accept me..."

Bane shook his head, not liking where this was headed. And Bane's intuition was right. "Niska...it's me...its Blaze...your Blaze..."

The kirlia backed away, "Get away from me you abomination!"

"But...Niska...please...it's still me..."

"Who the fuck cares!? Look at you! I can't be seen with something like you! Now get away from my home!" With that, Niska went into her home.

Blaze could only collapse than, shaking in pain, pain far worse than what he went through during his transformation. A rock hit his head than, "Get outta here you freak! We don't want your kind around here!" Several pokemon had gathered, glaring at Blaze.

Bane stood between his friend and the pokemon bent on getting rid of him. "Wanna harm him...go through me you rodents!" The pokemon backed off.

"Bane...let's go..."

Bane looked to Blaze, nodding and leaving the area with him. "Blaze?"

"Bane...can I ask you for help..." Blaze looked to him.

"Sure...we're friends."

"It's going to take a while..."

Bane smiled, "Doesn't matter...I've got great memory."

"Do you know of the Kyoko love festival?"

Bane nodded, "yeah...I've heard of it."

"Mom and dad met there...but...that's not important." Blaze took a deep breath, "Can you meet me there in a year from now?"

"Why?"

Blaze looked up, "I'm going to get stronger...evolve...and I'm going to destroy Biogen..."

Bane nodded, "I see...well...I can't let you do it alone than I guess."

Blaze smiled, "Thanks Bane...I'm glad I met you..."

Bane chuckled, "thanks. Glad I met you too man." Blaze nodded, than started walking away, "I'll...see you in a year than."

Blaze nodded, walking on, far away from his home. When he came to a stop, he looked to the sky. "Mom...Dad...Rick...Binge...Catharine..." he glared, letting out a psychic blast the leveled everything within 20 meters of him. "I won't let Biogen get away with this...they took everything from me..." he started to crackle with energy, "I promise...REVENGE!" He let loose another psychic blast, leveling everything in 50 meters.

*****

Blaze walked along, nearly a year's time having elapsed since his promise. He was a typhlosion now, and he was powerful. His walk was taking him across his old home; he wondered how his traitors were doing.

He got the answer when he saw that his home was torched. It was recent too...maybe 2 days ago at the latest. He smirked, "You got what you deserved...bastards."

He kept walking, till he came to the outskirts, and a sight that made him grin. Bart, Montana, and his so called lover Niska were dead. "Hey guys...looks like karma got you...doesn't it?"

He chuckled, walking on, stepping on Niska's corpse. He didn't care...his home was no longer home. It had abandoned him in his time of need, so it's fate made little difference to him. He only wanted one thing now. Revenge. And he'd let his home burn 1000 times before he let Biogen go.
