The Serpent's Rise

A terrible explosion rocked the area, the mountains shuddering from the force of the blast. Arceus skid to a halt upon the air, flanked by Palkia and Dialga, and further spread around the area were Rayquaza, Groudon, Kyogre, Giratina, and Darkrai. The host of legendary mon was gathered against a great and terrible threat. That threat stood tall in defiance against those who opposed his might, clad in armor of light green with blue trimming. The right pauldron resembled a seviper head opening to swallow prey. He carried a large scythe, with a face that was a dark blue color, with black and red markings along the cheek and eyes. His hair was black and spiky. He was tall, 6 or 7 feet in height, while paltry to the masters of elements gathered before him, it was great for a humanoid.

The demon who claimed mastery over all of serpent kind, spawned from the blackest and most evil of holes. Its name was Orochi, and it smirked malevolently at the young legendary mon. He could tell that they would be mighty one day, but they were still new to the realm of existence, and their powers were still undeveloped. "You can't hope to destroy me with your measly strength." He chuckled evilly, than unleashed a blast of energy at the so called god pokemon, Arceus blasting the attack with a hyper voice. Darkrai charged forward, using a faint attack to strike the demon. Orochi smirked, barely faced by the attack, merely pushed back a bit, before holding up his palm to blast the dark master into a nearby mountain.

Orochi took several steps forward, grinning maliciously, "Perhaps you should have assisted your fellows in the battle against my army...maybe then you could have at least had a faint glimmer of hope in defeating me." The demon cackled evilly, unleashing a fire ball, the attack smashing into the lord of the dead, Giratina, sending the dragon into Darkrai. Rayquaza roared out, unleashing a Twister but Orochi sliced the attack in two, letting it collide into Groudon and Kyogre. Orochi let loose a bolt of lightning, striking the dragon and sending it crashing to the earth. He then turned and let loose a blast of dark energy, tearing through the dragonbreath/water pulse combo from the masters of space and time. The two dragons were knocked back from the raw power of Orochi's attack.

Arceus let loose a roar, using Earth Power. Orochi smirked, deflecting the attack with a back hand, "You call yourself a god?" Arceus snarled at serpent demon. Orochi's smirk only grew at the god pokemon's anger, before he was struck from below by a fire blast. Orochi turned to glare at Groudon, the master of land smirking right back at him. "Fool." Before the serpent could attack though, he was forced to stop a hydro pump of the master of sea. The demon soon found himself under attack by the legendaries at the same exact time. Orochi was unable to counter attack; as soon as he stopped one attack another had to be dealt with. The masters of elements felt victory close at hand, as they pressed their advantage, keeping up the barrage of attacks, forcing Orochi to constantly block. "Hmmm...this fight has just gotten interesting...I think it's time I let loose my true power." Orochi cackled, his body crackling with energy, the attacks of the legendary mon unable to strike.

As Orochi's body morphed, his foes could only watch in awe, until the light dissipated, revealing a mountainous body, with eight serpent heads coming out of it. Each head wore a helmet, and upon the helmet was a kanji, one for each element the head possessed: Fire, Water, Lightning, Earth, Darkness, Wind, Poison, and Light. Suddenly, the heads launched attacks at the surrounding legendary mon, smashing all of them and sending them either to the ground or into mountains. Giratina roared out, erupting from the earth to charge the 8 headed snake, using Ominous wind, but the Wind head unleashing its own wind, cutting through the ghost dragon's attack, and sending Giratina tumbling through the air, till it smashed back into the ground.

The eight heads all smirked, before unleashing more attacks, blasting the legendary mon unable to get away in time. The only two able to avoid the attacks were Rayquaza and Darkrai, and the two quickly tried to move into an attack position. The master of darkness used a shadow ball, while the lord of the skies unleashed an air slash. The head of earth summoned several rocks, and tore through Rayquaza's attack, striking the dragon and making him roar in pain. Darkrai's attack was brought to nothing by a beam of searing light, which smashed into the lord of the dark, sending him falling to the ground. Orochi let loose an evil laugh, watching the two mon fall, only to be replaced by the masters of time and space. Palkia and Dialga let loose roars at Orochi and unleashed their most powerful attacks, Roar of Time and Spacial Rend. The attacks neared, but three of Orochi's head unleashed their attacks, tearing through their attacks and smashing the two dragons, knocking them back and through several mountains. The sequence repeated several times over, the legendaries would get back up and attempt to strike, just for their attacks to be rendered ineffective, and to be cast back down once more.

The eight heads let loose mighty laughs, laughs that said they had won the battle, and it looked to be true. But suddenly an ice beam, thunder bolt, and flamethrower tore into him from above, while a thundershock, fire spin, and aurora beam hit him from below. Flying out of the cloud cover were Articuno, Moltres, and Zapdos, while Raikou, Entei, and Suicune climbed a nearby mountain. The heads glared at the new opponents, but before they could attack a hydro pump and flame thrower smashed into the demon. Ho-oh and Lugia appeared, flying past the eight headed demon serpent. And just as Orochi tried to attack, a hyper beam, ancient power, icy wind, and charge beam struck. Atop a mountain opposite the three quadrupeds were Regigigas, Regirock, Regice, and Registeel. Orochi's heads let loose fierce growls of anger, before being struck by a lava plume and confusion attack. Heatran and Cresselia cast glares at the demon, who glared right back. The demon expected another attack, and he got it from above as a psychic, magical leaf, and three confusions struck him. Mew, Celebi, Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf grinned from above the snake, waving tauntingly at him.

The battle started anew, this time the balance of power shifting to the legendary mon's side. Orochi attempted in vain to strike at the new additions, aware that their arrival meant his army had been bested. The legendary pokemon who had already been fighting Orochi were quickly roused and helped press the attack. Orochi's attacks missed countless times as they tried to strike the smaller legendary mon, who easily dodged and weaved their way through, striking again and again at the demon. But despite the turning of the battles tide, Orochi wasn't going down quickly enough, and the legendary mon gathered were getting weaker alongside the snake. Arceus realized that while they may win, it would undoubtedly cost several lives...there was just one choice. Using Cresselia, a message was relayed to all the others gathered on the course of action to be taken. Palkia and Dialga focused, and tore open a hole below the demon, a hole into an empty space, devoid of time.

The aspects of willpower, knowledge, and emotion took the points of a triangle and focused, using their psychic power to begin forcing the demon into the whole. Mew, Celebi, and Cresselia had formed another triangle, and used their own psychic power to help the three bring Orochi further toward the prison. The five legendary birds took spots above and around Orochi, who was distracted trying to resist the psychic power being exerted on him, and blasted him even closer to his prison. The dragons took the position directly above Orochi, adding their power to pushing the serpent down. The combined might of the legendaries so far opened up Orochi to the others. Despite the demon serpent's efforts, he could resist the attacks and was through the hole, into the plain the nothing. Orochi returned to his human form, glaring up at the legendary mon as his prison shut, "I'll be back...this prison won't hold me forever."

The hole sealed, the ground baring no mark of what had just been trapped. The legendary mon all breathed a sigh of relief; a terrible threat had just been dealt with...though...it might have just been temporary. But for now, and for many years to come, Orochi would be sealed away, his evil unable to destroy the world, and with that knowledge the legendary mon left to rest and recover. But while Orochi's evil couldn't cause destruction, it could still corrupt. The soldiers under Orochi that still lived waited for their master's return, raising shrines to him, worshipping him as a god. As the centuries passed, the old servants died, but they left a legacy, the time allowing the numbers of Orochi's followers to flourish once more. And than one year, an entity of devious thinking and evil surpassed only by the serpent demon himself came to the realm, and began searching.

*****

"So...this is where the fight took place huh? No wonder no one could find it...the tale tells of it taking place in a bunch of mountains...not a giant valley. Guess the fight did a number on the terrain." A female human, at least she looked human at first glance, smirked. She had very pale skin and long hair with of a dark violet color. She had cat like eyes, of violet color. She was only 5 feet tall, wearing tight leather armor that was black with dark violet trimming. She chuckled, "Took way too long to find, but hopefully it won't prove too tough to crack open."

She was walking along the perimeter of a large circle of grey lifeless dirt. All around was green and life, but this one spot was barren. "I see it left a permanent scar on the land itself. I guess the dimensional rift isn't very healthy for living things." She had a malevolent grin on her face, as she continued to walk around the circle. She chuckled, her hand seeming to drag along the perimeter of the spot, "I see...I suppose they put all their effort to making sure he couldn't break it from his end. They never figured that someone would try from this end...or they hoped no one would have the power to do it." She took a few steps back, her smirk never disappearing.

"Well...no point in keeping my lord waiting...time to bust this baby wide open!" She pressed her fingertips together and began to chant something. As she went sparks and arcs of energy began to jump, the center of the circle having the most activity. The female continued her chant, grinning as she did so, her eyes fixated on the action taking place. As the chant drew to a close, the energy reacting wildly, she pressed her hands together, than yanked them apart. As she did so, the ancient seal broke, and the prison was shattered open, arcs of energy arcing all over, the wind screaming as the cold figure rose from the dimensional rift.

Eventually the action died down, and standing in the valley was the female, and the demon Orochi, the same as the day he was imprisoned. "So my prison has been undone...and just who has undone it?" He held his scythe at the female.

She bowed, "My name is Dasi my lord. Loyal follower and blessed tactician."

Orochi eyed her, "How long have I been in there? Time did not flow normally within that dank place."

"Quite a long time actually...centuries at the very least." She shrugged, "I really can't say for sure...it could have been as long as a thousand years, all the information I could get never really pinpoint out the exact time you were imprisoned."

Orochi nodded, "I see...so I'll have to reassemble my army again...but it shouldn't prove difficult."

"It'll be easier than you think...your old warriors that survived waited for your return...and as the years passed...the numbers began to swell...there are pockets of these groups all over the land, and they'll flock to you once word gets out."

Orochi smirked, "Good...than I think it's time to rebuild what I lost, and to dethrone that so called god."

Dasi cleared her throat, "Pardon my lord...but I think we should play this a tad more...secretive. Going on a warpath right now would only alert them to your presence and they'd quickly come back to face you. And they have gotten stronger during the years lord, so they will even more problematic. They'll merely imprison you again, and there are even more legendary pokemon to come to the battle." She smirked, "So keep them in the dark about your return. Let them enjoy their complete ignorance of what's going happen. Gather up your loyalists...and build up even more from there. Call to your side powerful warriors to go into battle, and genius minds to lead the soldiers."

Orochi looked to her, smirking, "A fine idea I think."

She bowed, "Thank you my lord. And of course...when your army is strong...wage war upon those who put you in that stuffy cage." She snickered, "While the army distracts all of the meager 'legendaries' you can deal with the pretender god Arceus. And when they fall, this world will be all yours Lord Orochi."

The demon grinned maliciously, "A suitable plan...let's put it into motion." Dasi nodded, and opened a portal, to one of the many locations of the loyalists.

*****

"My lord Orochi, we pledge our service to you, like our forefathers before us. Lead us into battle, that we may destroy any who oppose you." Spoke the head of the final loyalist group that Orochi had came too. Well not quite last, but the truly last one was filled with only clefairy and clefable, and wasn't of interest to the serpent demon. Behind the leader was a mass of humans and pokemon. All of the humans took on the look of Orochi's army of past days, pure white bodies with black armor, a few of the lower ranked soldier wrapping turbans on their heads. A majority of the pokemon were serpents, since Orochi served as the master of snakes it only made sense they would flock to his side.

The demon himself smiled, "Good...serve me well, and you shall see the dawn of a new age, with the fall of the pretender god." A mighty cheer rang up from the soldiers, "And now we shall reclaim and rebuild my fortresses...and we'll start...with Koshi Castle." Another mighty cheer rang up, as they began moving towards the now dilapidated fortification. Orochi sat atop of a throne that was fastened to a moveable platform, which was carried by 10 of his soldiers. Dasi stood at his right side, a malevolent grin to match her master's own. The mass of soldiers, driven by intense loyalty, made quick progress the ruined castle, though it wasn't even that, it was as if that nothing remained to say what had once lay here. "Time hasn't been kind to my castle...but no matter...we will rebuild it, and from here...my conquest shall begin." The soldiers began reconstruction of the castle, building it into the marvelous keep that it once was.

Orochi's power tainted the land, making the stones used for his master keep turn black, with burning red veins. The land surrounding the construction site began to grey and die, than it further blackened as veins of lava took hold of the land. The land began to match the evil of the one who now claimed mastery of it. And as the dark structure rose from the ground, several pokemon began to converge on it, tempted by the evil power that Orochi exuded. One by one they all swore loyalty to Orochi, and helped in the construction of Koshi Castle. And when the fortification finally was completed, Orochi stood upon the top of the keep, surveying the land, "This...is but the first step."

Dasi grinned; "Right away my lord, I'll get the men started on building up our power." she leapt down, and selected those who Orochi deemed worthy of being generals in his army, gathering them around a map, "Copperhead! Diamondback! You two go to the castle we have at Terria Mountain!" she first pointed at the position on the map, than she pointed at a different pair of soldiers, "Sidewinder! Boomslang! You two are to head here..." she pointed to a point on the map. "And construct a little village...we're going to use that to focus on the production of food and weapons for the time being. And make it look like a nice little village...we can't afford to gather unneeded attention." The generals nodded, heading off to gather their units and head for the indicated areas.

Dasi pressed her index finger to the side of her mouth, thinking; "Now...what else is of pressing concern...I know." She grinned, "Keelback, Mamushi! I want you two to head to a small city...disguise yourselves...and find a building. We'll need a hold in a human city." The two nodded and went to complete their task. Dasi then looked to yet another two, "Coachwhip and Lancehead you both are to go to various human cities and gather up some more recruits amongst the humans. Got it?"

"For lord Orochi." The two headed off, their goal clear.

Dasi grinned, "And there...the rest of you shall remain her to help oversee the base." The generals nodded, gave a salute to the second in command, and went to their own tasks. Dasi rejoined Orochi at the top of the keep, "And now we just got to let our men to their job."

Orochi nodded, "Good...the sooner we build up the army, the sooner those 'legendary' fools can feel my wrath." He went through a portal to the throne room, and took his place upon the seat; scythe resting against the gold and red chair, his he rested his chin on his right fist. "Are there any who could be entertaining? I grow bored of doing nothing." He looked to Dasi, "I've been imprisoned for far too long...I need a fight."

Dasi thought about it, "Well...I suppose I could find something for you my lord."

"Than do it. I want to test my strength...after such a long slumber." The serpent demanded, which was met with an evil smile and a bow, Dasi heading off to find victims for Orochi. The demon sat atop his throne, a bored expression on his face, "Perhaps I can find a decent challenge...maybe even a superior warrior." He smirked, chuckling darkly, "One can only hope."

*****

A dull groan sounded out, a hariyama flat on the ground, a wicked wound bleeding profusely. Orochi laughed, "Entropy will always triumph!" He flipped his scythe upside down, letting it float by his side, as he unleashed several bolts of lightning at an advancing wave of pokemon. "Can't any of you provide a decent challenge?" The charging mon were struck down, killed by the attack. A pinsir charged at Orochi's back, but before he could even get close Dasi had sent the bug to the dirt, two slashes across its back. The female cackled, "You're simply inferior."

Dasi then rushed into a bunch of pokemon, her twin daggers flashing as she cut them down one by one, "Lower you heads and knees to the ground, Lord Orochi is your king!" She roundhouse kicked a typhlosion into a tree. Orochi was busy with a trio of fighters, a lucario, blaziken, and breloom. As the three each attacked from a different side Orochi just scoffed, "Fools." He levitated into the air, and then spun horizontally, cutting all three in half. The forward momentum of the attack drove him into a terrified chimchar, cutting down the young one. "I bring only death."

Several more pokemon rushed Orochi; the demon unleashed a wave of energy, knocking them all back. "Pathetic." He cut down a charizard with a slash of his scythe. Dasi was cackling, leaping over a slaking and cutting its head off before landing back on the ground. "Your cries of pain shall be a melody for Lord Orochi." She went into battle with a scyther, matching the insect blow for blow, before a ball of energy from the female slammed the bug into a nearby tree. The pokemon in the area were growing few in number, one after the other falling before the two.

Eventually, the bloodshed ended though, with not a single soul alive save for Orochi and Dasi. Dasi was cackling, "That was loads of fun. It's just too bad there wasn't more of them." She shrugged, looking toward Orochi, "Did you have fun my lord?"

Orochi began to walk, "Perhaps I'll find more fun on my way back to Koshi."

Dasi sighed, "Alright my lord...just please try not to draw too much attention, we don't want those legendaries trapping you in that dusty old prison again." She opened a portal back to Koshi, as Orochi walked towards the castle. Upon reaching the other side she went into thought, "Speaking of those old blow hards...I'm not sure if we can oppose them, even with the new soldiers we're bound to get. Underestimating them is what caused Orochi to fail the first time." She sighed, than grinned, an idea striking her, "Of course...if quantity can't do the trick...quality can. I just need to find decent leaders for the soldiers than destroying those pompous legendary mon will be easy enough."

Meanwhile, Orochi continued his walk to the castle, encountering nothing worth his time to fight. The few hostile pokemon that approached, he cut down quickly enough. "There are none in this world that can grant me the challenge I seek. It looks like only the pretender god can hope to match my strength. Such a weak realm...the inhabitants are nothing but..." His stride came to a halt, his head looking towards a specific area in the forested area below. Within a small clearing Orochi saw something that stood out more than arceus in a human city. It didn't appear at first glance to be much, it was only a little houndour, but Orochi could see something within the canine. The fire/dark type was fighting off a group of growlithes, alongside a pikachu that also had a faint uniqueness to it.

Orochi smiled, "I see...it appears this world does have something to offer." He chuckled darkly, "Just needs a bit of work I think...hmm...I just hope this proves...worth the effort." He opened a portal and returned to Koshi castle, surprising Dasi, who asked what had happened. "I just found something...interesting." His evil smirk never disappeared.

*****

Orochi grinned, watching as the scene unfolded before him. The houndour he had seen was recovering from a severe beating he had suffered at the hands of an arbok. Orochi had sent the snake, called Sarak, to the home of the houndour, and the result was the death of the pup's mother. "And so you shall start on the path...towards greater power." Orochi grinned, "And thus you'll achieve what I need you to...Inferno." Orochi chuckled, as the door to his throne room opened, Dasi striding in with a smug look, "What have you to report Dasi?"

She saluted him, "Our operations are doing great, and our castles are all rebuilt...we've even begun constructing new ones. And our ranks are swelling with loyal recruits. Things are just turning out far to pleasant."

Orochi grinned, "Good...things are turning out quite well then." He chuckled more, "Have you found any competent recruits."

Dasi sighed, "Sorry my lord...nothing...definite as of yet...plenty of prospects though. One human in particular is promising. His name is Sima Yi, and he's displaying a great tactical mind and deviousness, but he's still too young to be certain of." She shrugged, "Aside from him though...the only one else of use is a scientist named Errol. But he's got delusions of grandeur; he's trying to build an army of genetic 'perfection' as he calls it. Truth be told I'm not really sure if he's an actual human anymore with his looks. Really it's looking slim pickings my lord."

Orochi went into thought, "Perhaps more suitable candidates will appear in time...with the next generation." Dasi grinned, nodding in agreement, "For now...let's make use of the ignorant tools we've got access too." Once again she nodded, smirking evilly. Orochi stood up, "I'm going to investigate something." He opened a portal and went through it, leaving Dasi to do what she always did, regardless of Orochi's presence, manage the administration of his forces.

Orochi appeared in a small forest, where he had felt a familiar ping; similar to that he felt when he saw Inferno. "So another is here..." he began to walk, searching for the source of the sensation he felt, eventually finding it in a poochyena, who was away from the others in the pack. Orochi smiled, for he felt a growing evil in one of the pack, a mightyena who seemed to hold some connection to the poochyena Orochi found unique, "I think I just found a recruit." He chuckled, eyeing the pup that emanated the same sensation of the houndour, when his head snapped to another location, "Another...no...2...wait...3?" he smirked, "A total of 6 huh? Perhaps more." He opened another portal and went through it to the next strange sensation.

He walked out into yet another forested area, this one near 2 unique presences. "Hmm...now...who could be the barer of this strange feeling?" he carefully scanned the area as he walked, until his eyes fell onto a small group of pokemon. The sensation came from a quilava and larvitar, the latter getting some abuse from a kirlia. Orochi grinned, "Interesting...it appears only one really needs my guiding hand...but...so young...I detest waiting." He sighed, but his smirk still remained, "Oh well...for such promise...I suppose I'll wait." He chuckled darkly, before opening another portal, to investigate the last strange sensation.

Appearing, he was overlooking a human home, the target of his search standing out in an instant. She was an absol, with a human playing with her. "Hmm...interesting...so this is the last one...it's...almost as strong as Inferno...this feeling she gives." He eyed the absol, deep in thought over what he had seen so far. The houndour, the pikachu, the poochyena, the quilava, the larvitar, and the absol...something about the 6 made them unique...special. Orochi chuckled, most of all, it told him that they'd achieve what he'd want...all of them. "So...these 6...this is what I've searched for." He returned to Koshi castle, thinking about how he'd achieve his goals.

*****

Orochi sat motionless, head resting on his fist, a sour look on his face. He was bored, waiting for his selected individuals to mature into what he needed them to be. The process meant he had little to do till the events came to pass, though they were starting on the way they needed to go. The poochyena had evolved and left his pack, the houndour was on his quest for vengeance, the others were slowly building to their own ends. But even with that knowledge, there was still plenty that they all had to go through in order to become more powerful. The question that naturally sprang from that fact was what on earth was he to do?

"Is something troubling you my lord?" Dasi asked, bending forward from his side to get a look at his face.

"All this waiting is maddening...I need entertainment." He flexed the hand that his head was not resting on. "There must be someplace that resists us."

Dasi grinned, "Why there is my lord...we were going to build a castle upon a cliff overlooking the ocean...but a bunch of pokemon has decided to give us trouble." She cackled, "I figured the soldiers alone would prove enough to take them down, but...if you were there...than the conquest would be simple."

Orochi smirked, "Is that so...than...let us go and take the land." Dasi bowed, opening a portal to the location, and both she and Orochi stepped through to the surprise of the soldiers around.

A rhyperior stepped forward, bowing low to his lord, "Master Orochi, it is an honor to be in your presence, but why have you come?"

"I will assist you in your battle to take this land...I desire to fight." Orochi scythe was held ready.

Dasi nodded, "But don't think that means you can get lax in your efforts Guyuki." She snickered, "If anything, you had better fighter harder unless you want to earn our lord's ire." Her head then went to another of Orochi's generals, this one a scizor, "That applies to you too Mekki."

The bug nodded, bowing in humble servitude, as Orochi's gaze fell on the direction of a makeshift barricade, constructed most likely by the pokemon resisting. Guyuki cleared his throat, "My lord...when shall we begin the attack?"

Orochi started walking to the rear of the camp, "Ask Dasi, she can decide how this battle will play out."

Dasi clapped her hands together, bending forward in glee, "Really my lord? Oh thank you, I've got just the trick for this batch of unruly rabble." She cackled evilly, looking to the barricade, "We'll attack noon tomorrow than...oh I've got an evil little plan." She began to gather soldiers, and set to work for the preparations for the fight ahead, keeping the loyal minions working through the night.

And as the sun approached the highest point in its arc, Orochi stood above his army, on a stone rolled out for him to have a sizable view. Dasi was next to him, as usual, an evil grin on her face, "I hope you don't mind my lord...but I'm going to go a little overkill." Orochi waved his hand dismissively, much to her delight, "In that case...let's show these fools what happens when they oppose you." She warped to the front of the army, raising her right hand, "Let's create a little hell on this planet! Bury them in fire and brimstone!" She smirked, "Aim...aim...aim...and FIRE!" she lowered her hand, and deep booms rang out, as cannons brought from Koshi castle unleashed their ammunition. The shells destroyed the measly barricade, and tore into those behind it.

Screams erupted, as Dasi ordered the charge, the generals at the head of the attack. Orochi just casually walked forward, scythe held firm in his grasp, as the sounds of battle rang out ahead of him. Dasi grinned, "Burn them! Crush them! Make them scream! I want a symphony of pain for Lord Orochi!" She cackled darkly, getting into the fight herself, daggers flashing as she got in on the fray. "Ha ha ha! Screams of hell, how marvelous, make more!" She began cutting down foe after foe, as Orochi crossed the destroyed barricade.

The demon slowly advanced forward, looking for the most powerful of the gathered resistance. He eventually was rewarded, finding 4 pokemon that fit his desires. A tyranitar, a drapion, a zangoose, and a toxicroak were doing sever damage to his soldiers. Mekki was about to engage them, but Orochi dismissed him from this particular conflict, so the bug/steel type went to the other pokemon, as the serpent approached the great resistance warriors. "Come warriors...end me if you can!"

The four pokemon eyed Orochi, obviously taken aback by how strange he looked, but they quickly rushed him. Orochi smirked, the zangoose and toxicroak coming in first, their strikes blocked by his weapon, "You will have to do better." He pushed them back, than blasted them with bolts of lightning, sending them rolling along the ground. The tyranitar was next, grappling for control over the scythe, Orochi holding his strength against the monstrous pokemon. A scythe had broken off from some soldiers and was going for Orochi, blades ready to cleave the demon. Orochi scoffed, "Be gone!" he pointed a palm at the bug, the blast of energy turning it into goo.

The tyranitar's eyes were wide, seeing his opponent match his strength with only one hand. "C...crap..." He prepared a hyper beam, but Orochi's palm unleashed another blast of energy, knocking the giant away. The drapion was the last to attempt to match the demon's power, a Cross Poison attack used, but Orochi just slashed with his weapon, cutting through the attack and the pokemon that launched it. Orochi glared, tossing his scythe at the recovering tyranitar, the weapon carving through it. Holding his hand up, his weapon returned in a flash of light, before he levitated off the ground, doing his best to form a ball, before blackness surrounded him, and several hundred slashes erupted from the black ball, finishing the two remaining warriors.

Orochi scowled, "Feeble...you are all utterly feeble!" he continued with the slaughter, not leaving a single one of the resisting mon alive.

*****

Orochi smirked, watching as the absol he had found wandered, in agony over her trainer's death. A human with a salamence had somehow found out about Orochi, and had asked the demon for the power to gain vengeance upon the absol and her trainer for some accident of some sort. In return for loyal service, Orochi gave them the strength and the time to seek vengeance; he knew that he'd collect on their servitude one day, and that they'd fail to kill the absol. The human and his dragon were doomed to fail, since Orochi wanted them to fail.

Along with the absol, the quilava was abducted by the group Biogen, led by the scientist that Dasi had made mention of. Transformed, the fire type had met the mightyena, and escaped. Now evolved, the altered typhlosion sought vengeance on Biogen for the destruction of his life and family. "I find it hard to believe that one's so easy to manipulate will prove to be my greatest opponents...but...the very essence they exude is enough to let me allow them to live."

The houndoom Inferno had gotten his vengeance, and was wandering, his path set to intersect the absol. "And they are drawing together on their own...well as on their own as they can...since my actions have set them on their current paths." He chuckled, "Letting Biogen continue was a smart move...not only does it distract from my forces...it also has put that typhlosion on his path for greater power." He chuckled darkly, overjoyed that things were going so well when Dasi entered, bowing respectfully, "Lord Orochi...I've got great news."

Orochi eyed her, slightly curious, which made her smile bigger, "Sima Yi has come to us...he actually saved me the trouble of going to him. He'll be of use to you my lord...I guarantee." Orochi motioned for her to let him in, the human approaching the throne and kneeling.

"So...you wish to serve me? Why should I accept you into my service?" spoke the Serpent demon.

Sima Yi smiled, "Because...who among your meat headed warriors can match my scheming mind?"

Orochi smirked, "Exactly...why should I accept into service someone so cunning and scheming?"

Sima Yi bowed, "Because...are you not more scheming?"

At that Orochi rose, "Ahh...good answer." he chuckled, "You're right...so I shall have you join our forces."

Sima Yi bowed again, "Thank you...Lord Orochi." Sima Yi smiled, and left the chamber, smiling.

Orochi too was smiling, "He desires to take control of this world for himself...but he'll be useful all the same."

Dasi smiled, bowing, "I thought so too my lord." She chuckled, "Tell me lord Orochi, you've been in good spirits...what has you so joyful."

Orochi smirked, opening a view of Inferno, "This one...he's destined for great power...he's too strong to not recruit."

Dasi nodded, "Than I'll go get him my lord."

"No...I have a special plan for him. And these other 5 will be a part of it." He showed his second in command the other five pokemon that had caught his interest, "So our soldiers are to leave them alone...for the time being."

Dasi tried to figure out what Orochi had planned, but her mind could come up with nothing, "As you will my lord...but what do you have in store? Come on, tell me."

Orochi chuckled darkly, "Patience Dasi...you'll find out soon enough." She reluctantly nodded, and took her leave, "And one more thing." Dasi quickly spun on her heels to face him again, "I want to know the location of an ancient item of great power...I've heard rumors of it, and it has peaked my interest. It's called...the Crown of Ribetium."

Orochi smiled, as he walked into the chamber that held his prize. Dasi and Sima Yi followed behind, looking around. The human frowned, "Why is it that ancient and untouched treasures always lie in dark and dank caves?"

"Because if they didn't than they wouldn't be untouched would they?" Dasi shot at him, grinning. She had a habit of giving no one respect short of Orochi, but she took more pleasure when it was Sima, since he took so much more offense to it.

Orochi kept walking, looking for the Crown of Ribetium, knowing that the time was nearing. The 6 he had found had joined together finally, and were about to lay siege to the final Biogen base. Though Orochi had not expected the bonds of love that formed, he was glad of it; those strong bonds would serve his purpose very nicely. His steps sounded out loudly, as he went forward.

"Dasi...there's something I've been meaning to ask you...just where are you from? You obviously aren't human." Sima Yi eyed Dasi carefully, hoping to glean information that he might be able to use against her.

She just grinned, "The same place as Lord Orochi. It was a plain much different from this one...no pokemon for one. Master Orochi had been banished from our realm for crimes against the humans there." She chuckled, "Honestly...it wasn't that bad if you ask me...that's why I when I found out where he was, I came...just to find that Arceus and his friends imprisoned him somewhere."

Sima Yi frowned disappointed to not hear anything damning, "Is that so?"

Dasi simply nodded, "Yes. We're not from this world...the proof is our superiority. And just so you know Sima Yi...Lord Orochi has yet to display his true power since his release." She smirked evilly, "His true form and power nearly destroyed the so called god pokemon, even with the help of the elemental masters." Sima Yi's face went pale at that knowledge, as Dasi spoke a bit more, "That's why he's always looking for strong warriors...he needs a challenge."

Then all three prepared for combat, the stirring of the rocks around alerting them to a presence. Orochi smirked, "Stone golems of pokemon...defensive measures to protect the grown...we're getting close." Orochi trudged forward, and began to reduce the protectors to rubble as they sprang at him, Dasi and Sima making quick work of those that came for them. For protectors...they did poorly at their task...as they were all destroyed...and Orochi's objective lay in his hands. "I see...so the rumors were true...I can feel it's unique power resonating." He grinned, "This is a crucial piece to my plan. All that's left...is to make use of those two fools...and give my goal a quick sojourn into the realm of death." He held up the crown, "And then...I will have my champion."

Orochi smirked, as his host of generals gathered around the spot to watch the dark design he had set in motion came to fruition. Amongst his loyal generals were resurrected humans and pokemon that Orochi had deemed useful in his grand scheme. Errol, after being slain by the group, was brought back. Damien and Scar, the human and salamence that had pledged service to Orochi for power, slain by the absol after they had succeeded in killing her mate, the houndoom Inferno, were also brought back to make good on their oath. Death, the brother of the mightyena, now a winged and tentacled canine, was also brought to life...for the third time in his existence. Sarak, the serpent with wings and claws that had killed Inferno's mother, was alive and well in his master's employ, quite happy to serve the serpent god.

A skeletal dragon, named Vixthra, was given life of a sort. A nidoking, sceptile, and arcanine that had attacked Inferno and his friends during their journey, were also resurrected to serve. A small militia of generals was at Orochi's command...but the greatest of these generals was about to rise. Orochi raised the gem, "Oh Crown of Ribetium, show your true power." The gem began to levitate, floating to the middle of a design in the ground.

"Dreadful darkness, hear my call.
Bring this world to its fall.
Let the creature that perished here.
Live Again and reappear."

As the energy began to erupt, the houndoom Inferno slowly rose to his feet. His memory, thanks to the crown...was wiped clean. Orochi grinned his evil grin, his plan working like a charm.

Errol growled, "Everything is being undone...Orochi...something needs to be done about this group." A chorus of agreement rang out. "Inferno's friends are winning."

Orochi's head was resting on his fist, glaring at them, "Be silent. Things are going according to plan. Just shut up and be ready to fight."

Dasi nodded, "Yeah! This is all going according to Lord Orochi's plan. The lot of you need to stop whining like a bunch of newborns...you owe your new lives to Orochi lest you forget." Grumbles sounded out as the resurrected generals left the throne room. Dasi sighed, "Fools..." she shrugged, "Oh well...not much to be done. Lord Orochi...you sure this group will be a challenge?"

Orochi nodded, "Yes...they'll be my greatest challenge...perhaps they might even end me if they can get Inferno back."

Dasi shook her head, "I really don't see how my lord...just 5 of them...against an entire army?"

Orochi chuckled, "Someone is gathering them an army. I can feel it...the strength of heart of those in this world...to protect their homes...their loved ones...they're coming here to fight us."

Dasi grinned, "Really? Than we should arrange to meet them huh?" Orochi nodded, and she took off, "Ah, this is the most fun I've ever had...I wish these days would never end."

Orochi chuckled as she left, "But the end is what makes things so entertaining...end of journeys, of battles...even of lives." He smirked, as he prepared for his greatest fight to come. "I imagine that Inferno's loyalty will end soon enough. He's already starting to break the spell of the crown after all." Orochi chuckled more, a happy look seemingly imbedded on his face.

Images crossed the demon serpents mind, images of times long past. Young maidens devoured by his eight heads, all coming at the same time every year. Warriors, coming to stop his ritual of sacrifice, being crushed, burned, poisoned, drowned, electrocuted, blown away, and swallowed in darkness. Villages, that refused to send a sacrifice...destroyed.

Than his memory went to that fateful day, when that one mighty warrior came. Tricked, made drunk, he was rendered vulnerable...and so the warrior was able to best him. One by one...his heads were lopped off...until he lay dead, all eight heads cleaved from body. And as death in the mortal realm claimed his mortal body, he came to the mystical realm of the same plain. Judged harshly for his time in the mortal coil, condemned by true gods and goddesses...he was thrust from his plain into another. Those who had thought his acts terrible had just given him another place to spread pain and strife. But it had also done something else...something that made Orochi furious.

Orochi's heads were once again destroyed, one by one, until only darkness was left. The other heads were gone now, and Orochi watched and felt as the group of 6 pokemon, that he had used...tricked...and led to this point, attacked him. One by one, the friends attacked his final head...1 strike...2 strike...3...4 strike...a fifth strike. Orochi watched as Inferno, the very one that had given Orochi this plan, the one who had radiated an essence...a power so great...prepared to destroy the demon.

As the final attack was launched, Orochi could only smile, his plan a complete success.
