I tried writing on fur affinity, but the server there has crashed and no one has seriously commented on my stories. I'm hoping for some comments on this new story which I am releasing here first. Axe that, only here. Especially since I'm so close to getting on the top ten for most words(about 20000 more) and potentially most reads(more then 5000 now) I'll put the general disclaimer here. Chapter 11 The long road back

"No. I may be stuck with you but I won't fight for you!" shouted Hitokage turning his back to Mech purposefully swinging his burning tail wide so Mech had to lean back.
"I never said you had to fight for me." Mech said trying to remain calm. The little lizard was very stubborn and obviously spoiled. "I said the next gym leader used grass types and since San doesn't stand a chance against grass or water, and since Subomi is the same type, and since you're the weakest here with a type advantage mind you; you should try to fight in the battle."
"What ever. I'm already going to become Alpha when my dad dies so who cares? I don't and I don't care if anyone does." The charmander replied still turned around, the flame on his tail burning ever fiercer.
"Well then Mr. I don't care" Mech said picking the lizard up "What happens if someone challenges you as I can guarantee they will, what then? I can tell you. You will be defeated as easily as an elephant trumps a leaf. Also your dad, the guy in charge of you, put me in charge for him. So you have to do what I say. I don't want to force you but your father wants me to make you into a good Alpha and I intend to do that.
"Look at it this way the sooner you get over this attitude of yours the sooner you never have to see me again. You've seen San and Subomi, they aren't worked hard but if you keep acting this way I will have to find more and more severe ways to turn you off that road."
"FINE!" shouted Hitokage "Just put me down. I'll do it!" Mech put him back on the single bed in the room in the center in Oreburgh.
"Do you promise to fight your hardest when I need you to? Do you promise to always try your hardest?"
Hitokage sighed as finally grumbled "Yes" though he had his arms still crossed.
"Good, now I think we should get a good nights sleep before going back to Jubilife then Eterna. I hoped we could have taken the direct northern route but apparently it's blocked and impassible without a high speed bike at least going up."
The three curled up in the bed to sleep, which was exceedingly cramped. San afraid she was too heavy lay next to the bed while Hitokage was careful to keep his flame away from anything flammable including Subomi who was wary of fire.

The trip to Jubilife was uneventful except for meeting Bob in the lobby of the center. He was also heading north but had acquired a bike so he was taking that way. Before they left he tossed a disk to Mech. "That's HM06, rock smash. I heard that route 204 is blocked so you'll need it. Naetoru knows it already so I don't need it." He explained. Mech thanked him and they departed.
The trek back to Floaroma was similarly uneventful with San easily crushing the fallen rocks. However just outside of town they were stopped by a female trainer they hadn't seen before.
"Well looks like I found a decent trainer to battle. Everyone here is a rookie." She said brandishing a pokéball. "Lets battle!"
"Fine." Mech conceded knowing he couldn't refuse a battle if he wanted to. "Hitokage you could use the practice!" he said. The fire type walked forward waiting to see his opponent.
"I don't have a water type." Muttered the girl "So Glameow you'll have to do!" she called sending out the cat type. "Glameow use faint attack!"
"Hitokage brace for the attack then use ember!" Mech called. The cat vanished before appearing behind Hitokage and attacking him. While not knowing where he would be hit he was prepared enough to take the brunt of the attack. Then he turned and spat the flames at his attacker. The embers burnt the cat's fur but didn't stop it. "Now use scratch!" Mech said.
"Glameow use charm!" the girl shouted. The cat pokémon tried to charm Hitokage into lowering its attack but he wasn't looking as he charged up and raked his stubby claws across the cats face. Immediately the cat was rolling on the ground paws rubbing its face. The girl returned her pokémon and started selecting a new one.
"Great Hitokage!" Mech called "Little harsh but it happens in battle." Commenting on the distasteful attack.
"Fine I guess I only have this guy left, go Ralts!" she said sending out a small childlike figure with green hair obscuring most of its face and a red ridge sticking through the hair. The little guy sort of looked confused and worried as he looked around.
"Does she expect me to fight?!?" the little guy said mostly to himself but it carried across the field. "I only know growl! How am I supposed to win a fight like that?"
"I can't fight him!" Mech shouted at the girl "He doesn't know any offensive move; he cant fight back!"
"He'd better defend himself!" the girl shouted more at her pokémon then her opponent. "Ralts use confusion!" However Ralts didn't know the move so he stood there trying to use the move but couldn't muster up the ability.
Mech sighed and ordered "Hitokage just knock the guy out just try not to hurt him badly." The lizard clearly understood as he walked over to his helpless adversary and hit the ridge on his head; an apparent weak spot as Ralts crumpled to the ground with the half-assed blow. The other trainer returned him muttering to herself and started to walk away before an audible cough from Mech caused her to turn. He was waiting for her to turn over the prize money as per custom but instead he shouted at him as she walked away.
"You haven't seen the last of me! We'll have a rematch soon enough and you wont win then. Name's Maya. Remember it!" she shouted storming off to the nearby town.
"That was..." Mech started
"...pathetic?" Hitokage said
"...weird?" Subomi said
"...foreshadowing?" San wondered out loud at the same time the other two spoke. They started to walk of when Hitokage began to evolve. After the light faded he appeared to be average Charmeleon though a lighter shade of orange and maybe a little smaller but they may have been age.

The rest of the trip was uneventful and they returned to Eterna without any further battles as all the trainers remembered him all to well. They entered the center and found Bob was already there. They greeted him as he held up two pokéballs.
"Check it, I got two new guys on the way here, Shinx who I named Rukushio or Shio, and Shellos who I named Karanakushi or Kan. So did you make any catches?" he asked putting the balls away.
"No still got the gang. Anything else new?"
"Oh I forgot, Naetoru evolved but still says Naetoru and Mukkuru evolved too. Though I don't like my future battle because Mukkuru is my only hope."
"So? My hope is Hitokage and his only fire move is ember."
"We'll I'm going to challenge her today seeing as I have time you can have a go tomorrow."
"Okay I should go speak to my boss anyway." Mech replied leading the gang to meet Oak.

"Oh hello Mech!" greeted Professor Oak opening the door in his small house. "Ah is this the Charmander you acquired from the Charizard! Excellent come on in there is something you need to hear!"
"THE CHARMADER?" Hitokage shouted indignantly "I have a name!"
"Yes but only I can understand you." Mech replied. The four entered and the Professor showed them over to a computer screen.
"See for a while now there have been reports of a thief on Route 206. I haven't been able to find it but I caught a glimpse on one of the cameras I set up to study pokémon. Watch this." Oak said running a video. It seemed to just be a small forest scene at night when in the background something ran through the shot and was gone in an instant. "Now I have studied pokémon for years but I'm not sure what that is but it's not human and it's certainly not native to the area. I was hoping you could look around and see if you can find it. I don't want you to hurt it but we need to stop it. Think you can do it?"
"I'm not a tracker but I can try." Mech replied.

The rest of the meeting was boring with Oak asking questions about how Mech had taken out the Alpha but Mech skimmed over it saying a punch in the nose was all it took. He eventually made it back to the center in time to see Bob walking in with a second badge pinned next to the first on his oversized cloak.
"That was easier then I expected," he said walking over to the desk and handing over one pokéball.
"Then I shouldn't have any trouble. Oh and I was talking to Oak and he says there's a thief on route 206."
"I came that way but didn't see anything."
"After I heard that I checked my map and since the route 211 is continently blocked we have to take that next. I'm thinking we should team up and see if we can find the thief and stop him."
"I guess I have nothing to lose. We can leave after you battle the gym leader. If you battle early enough we might get to Oreburgh by nighttime.
"Can't, I don't have a bike to get back up. We can grab some sleeping bags and use those. If you guys don't mind staying in your balls for a night that is." Mech said. Bob was confused until he realized he was talking to his pokémon.
"You know it's really weird you let them walk around all the time." Bob commented.
"You forget I can understand them. I only have San away because she's a cocoon and all. I know she hates it so at least I found these see through balls." Mech said holding San's up. Inside Bob could indeed see a small San sitting in there watching what was going on. "It seems wrong to lock up anything sentient."
"It stinks but until I evolve again it's the only option." She said her voice carrying though the ball as easily as if she was simply in the next room.
"Wow that is useful. I'd get some too but I can't understand a word Naetoru says." Bob said glumly.
"I'm gunna get some sleep for tomorrow." Hitokage said walking off towards the room.
"Good point. Night Bob. We'll just meet you by the south entrance to the city after the battle.
"Night." Bob replied.
