Story Notes:

Oh and thank you for 10000 views. Wish I could do something special...Oh wait, I did. New goal: 20000(on top 10s!)(Man the competition is fierce.)I'm a writer. I tried writing on fur affinity, but the server there has crashed and no one has seriously commented on my stories. I'm hoping for some comments on this new story which I am releasing here first. Axe that, only here. Especially since I'm so close to getting on the top ten for most words(about 20000 more) and potentially most reads(more then 5000 now) I'll put the general disclaimer here. All publicly recognizable characters, settings, etc. are the property of their respective owners, Nintendo, Game Freak, Creatures inc, and Pokemon. The original characters and plot are the property of me. I am in no way associated with the owners, creators, or producers of Pokemon. No copyright infringement is intended. If you are offended by anything in this story, then you have a serious problem being offended by something no one force you to read but I don't care enough so don't complain to me if you end up offended.

Chapter 13 Some more talking.

"Here we are!" Bob announced. They stood before a small bakery in Hearthome. It had taken most of the morning but they found the place. Guma was bouncing with excitement!
"My mom must have been here! Let's go!" He shouted bounding towards the door. They followed him as he ran inside. The inside was small, empty of customers, but with a large display cases loaded with desserts. Everyone stared at the sight, except Guma who was to busy trying to figure out how to get them. The woman at the counter was very startled when he burst through the door and was staring indignantly at him. She turned to Mech and Bob.
"Whose pokémon is this?" she demanded "I do not appreciate pokémon tearing around my store."
"Sorry about that, he's just a little excited. Come on Guma calm down." Mech apologized, picking up the squirming Linoone. "I guess the place changed, lets see what we can dig up elsewhere" He said sadly. Guma slumped down, deeply saddened. They turned to leave when a voice called.
"Where did you get that collar?" the woman at the counter asked rather angrily.
"His mom gave it to him." Mech explained. "We were trying to find the address on it and ended up here."
"Give me that collar!" The woman demanded.
"It's mine!" Guma shouted back.
"Yeah, it's not yours!"
"I know it's not mine! It's my daughters!" the woman yelled back. "She made that for her Linoone years ago. Around the time she died. I only heard she died from a friend. I don't know the details, no one does, but Linda disappeared and we never saw her. I recognize the collar because my daughter Shawna put so much work into it. I don't know how you found it but I would like it back, it was after all my daughters." The woman explained sitting down. She seemed on the verge of tears.
"I'm sorry for your loss but if what you're saying is true then the collar passed from Shawna, to Linda, to Guma. By right it's his. Is there anyone we can ask about this? You mentioned a friend maybe he can help." Mech said, the gang finding places to sit.
"After Shawna died, I never saw him again. He was really sad so I don't know where he is. He left her pokémon who I released into the wild, except for her Floatzel, who helps me around the place. Bella, come here please." She called. An aged Floatzel walked into the room. "Though I don't know how that helps you can't understand her."
"I can. So Bella, tell me do you recognize this belt?" Mech asked kneeling down and dragging over Guma.
"That's not a belt, its Linda's collar! Where did you get it?" Bella asked staring at the collar wide-eyed.
"It's a collar? It seems big enough for a belt." Guma commented tugging at the belt while standing up "Well It's more comfortable this way anyway. And my mom gave it to me. Now that I think about it, she wore it as a collar, but that seemed too domesticated for me. My mom's name was Linda but I can't read human so the writing meant nothing."
"We've been trying to find out what happened between Linda and her trainer to see why they were apart. Well mostly to find out about the belt." Mech stated.
"I was there when it happened. See we were attacked by Team Rocket. They were quite keen on stealing us. We tried to fight back but they were too strong and ended up killing everyone including Shawna except Linda and I. I ran for it after Shawna was killed, but Linda couldn't. I'm not sure what happened to her.." She said, crying a bit. Erureido used telepathy to translate to the woman what was said, and she started crying too. "I wish I knew what happened after that." Bella added looking at Guma.
"I'm not sure; she didn't really talk about it. I do know she had me in a forest on the far side of the mountain. I don't know about my dad much either. She raised me and kept the pack off my back for my appearance. When she died she gave me the collar. She never explained about her past, so I was in the dark. I could have asked the rest of the pack but they kicked me out when she died. I was a freak so no one but her would stay near me." Guma said sadly.
"That's awful!" Bella exclaimed. "Please, if you find any guy's from Team Rocket, give them something from us. Well I'm glad to have helped. Now I think I can pass on in peace." She said calmly before falling to the floor. Everyone jumped at this. Mech pressed his fingers to her neck.
"No pulse." He announced. Something was wrong though, he'd seen animals die before but he suddenly felt awful. More awful then he should, almost like he was going to be sick and this had never happened before.
"Poor thing, she must have been going off sheer willpower. She never was very healthy afterwards. I feel so sorry for her, waiting this long just to tell her story then pass on." The woman said glumly. "I'll be taking her to the pokémon tower so she can rest where she deserves for holding on like that.
"I don't know what happened, but that seemed pretty intense." Bob commented, trying to be included. Everyone commented on the events.
"Can we go back to the room in the center, I'd like to think for a while" Guma said walking towards the door.
"Sure. Madam, we must be leaving now. Sorry about your losses. Both of them." Mech said.
"I'm just glad I could hear the whole story." The woman replied scooping up the dead weasel.

"I'm just gunna think over here if you don't mind." Guma said sitting on the chair in the room, staring vacantly at the wall.
"Okay, we'll be over here then." Mech said, letting San out.
"As long as we're here, Mech we need to talk." San said shortly.
"About what? Is the Joker loose in Gothim again? Should I activate the Bat Signal?"
"Huh?" San said confused.
"Never mind. I guess my wit just doesn't work here. So, about what?"
"About you." Subomi said sitting down next to her.
"Me? What about?"
"Are you sure you told us every detail about how you got here?" San asked.
"I think so, I can't be sure, I don't remember much. What would I have to gain from not telling you?"
"I'm not sure but you have some pretty unique talents. Talents most humans don't have" Erureido said "You're somewhat psychic. You understand pokémon like its simply English."
"And you've used thunder punch on two occasions." San added.
"He did?" Erureido said surprised.
"Yeah, once to save me, and the other time to take out Hitokage's dad." San replied.
"I can't explain it! Maybe that cat guy did something to make this happen, I don't know. Look all it's done is help me fit in, and save your life so I say why question it." Mech said defiantly.
"Because it could be hurting you and you just don't know it!" San shouted. "You faint after using a thunder punch and you don't think that's bad? What if it's slowly killing you?"
"The punches? I thought about that, but I doubt it's significant. The hearing thing can't be, its passive and passive things don't usually kill you." Mech replied.
"There's more. You should know I sense emotions, it's an ability carried over from my Kirlia days. I can tell when someone physically or emotionally near me dies and I know the feeling and I sensed that from you." Erureido stated.
"So what do you think is going on?"
"Something happened when that cat guy brought you here. Why haven't you been trying to find him?" San asked.
"I guess I don't mind as much now. I guess I could try looking in the pokédex again." Mech said pulling it out. He went to the dex and looked carefully at all the images. "No, No, close" He said flipping through them. "Hey, this could be it!" He exclaimed looking at the picture "Mewtwo. Little is known about this pokémon because only one has been known to exist and it has not been seen for years. All that is known is it is the first cloned pokémon, created using DNA taken from a fossil of Mew and enhanced. It was created by the criminal organization known as Team Rocket and has turned against them. It is very powerful and it is considered highly dangerous to try to catch, however the only one is docile and non aggressive. Its ware bouts are unknown." He read "This is the one! I can't believe I didn't see it before! Though this one is docile. It could be it but this one doesn't seem evil enough, but with what Team Rocket has done..."
"What if they made a second?" Subomi suggested.
"Make the same mistake twice? I can see that, they're not known for their competence." San stated.
"Well what ever the case, it doesn't answer where he is so we should just keep going. And I don't see how this changes anything."
"Don't you see? Somehow you ended up with some of his powers!" San answered.
"I don't see how that could happen unless he did something wrong. Though I do remember feeling funny when he did it but that might have just been the pain." Mech thought out loud.
"You still shouldn't be using them so loosely!" San shouted.
"When have I been a loose cannon? I've used two punches and they were completely necessary." Mech returned "I know not to abuse things like this, I don't want the military or its nearest equivalent on my ass! And I can't help the translation thing, it just happens!" Mech shouted back.
"I just don't want you over doing it and killing yourself!" San cried. "You're my friend and I certainly don't want you dieing on me!"
"I'm sorry San, I meant I know how to handle this and I promise not to overdo it." Mech said picking her up. "I don't intend to die anytime soon." He said hugging her.
"Thank Arceus my face is hidden" San thought quietly.
"And I can help you with the psychic thing, see what else you can do." Erureido offered.
"Thanks guys. So, what do you want to do?" Mech asked still holding San.
"I say we search for team rocket!" Hitokage said."Get back at them for all they've done!"
"We could keep beating the gyms, maybe we'll bump into him." Subomi suggested.
"I'd rather train so I can stretch my arms again!" San said.
"I second that, it'll give me the chance to see what other psychic powers you have." Erureido added.
"Huh? Oh what to do next, I think we should stay here for a while. I mean its early spring and the path might be swamped, literally." Guma said coming out of his trance like state.
"Okay then, its settled, we'll stay here for a while and train at least until San reaches level 55 and seeing as she's at level 42 already it shouldn't be too much of a holdup on the other two plans. Then we can go for the gyms and search for team rocket at the same time. That sound good?" Mech asked. A resounding agreement followed. "Great, now we should probably get some sleep." Erureido took the second bed while the others found an empty spot. San remained next to the bed. Everyone had fallen asleep quickly except Guma who was wide-awake, curled up in the chair.
"I sure hope I can stay out of the way while we're here." He muttered, trying to fall asleep.
