Story Notes:

Oh and thank you for 10000 views. Wish I could do something special...Oh wait, I did. New goal: 20000(on top 10s!)(Man the competition is fierce.)I'm a writer. I tried writing on fur affinity, but the server there has crashed and no one has seriously commented on my stories. I'm hoping for some comments on this new story which I am releasing here first. Axe that, only here. Especially since I'm so close to getting on the top ten for most words(about 20000 more) and potentially most reads(more then 5000 now) I'll put the general disclaimer here. All publicly recognizable characters, settings, etc. are the property of their respective owners, Nintendo, Game Freak, Creatures inc, and Pokemon. The original characters and plot are the property of me. I am in no way associated with the owners, creators, or producers of Pokemon. No copyright infringement is intended. If you are offended by anything in this story, then you have a serious problem being offended by something no one force you to read but I don't care enough so don't complain to me if you end up offended.

Chapter 25 Some witty banter

"It's official. Rain sucks." Darunia announced. They had been planning to fly all the way to Jubilife city but a sudden thunderstorm had stopped that. So here they were running through the rain, thunderclaps roaring overhead. Flight was too unsafe in these conditions but they were still some distance from the city. Glancing back Bob noticed Mech seemed perfectly dry; the rain didn't seem to hit him.
"So I'm stopping water drops instead of bullets, it's similar and easy!" Mech whispered to him. He was making use of his powers to create a field around him that prevented the rain from hitting him and San, though not for long, his battery was dwindling. All the other pokémon were away, but Mech had made up his mind that San would stay out unless completely necessary such as when flying. The city glowed in the distance. They were almost there when Mech's shield gave out.
"Did you mean to do that?" San asked quietly.
"Not really, I'm trying to save some incase I need it, just a small amount. Plus it would raise too many questions with Ganty to why we weren't wet. And remember she can understand you." Mech sent telepathically.
"Well that could be an annoyance, having someone who can hear us talking." San grumbled.
"She's not telepathic so this works." Mech replied as they practically slid through the town gates. They didn't stop until they had reached the Pokémon Center. Soaking wet they fell through the door, surprising the nurse on duty. Mech mad a mental note to find out why every nurse looked exactly the same. After apologizing for dripping water all over the floor they got three rooms and went to dry off.
"Well this is certainly and advantage to lacking hair, I don't have to dry it!" San commented, picking up a towel.
"Don't bother, I've got us covered." Mech said closing his eyes and summoning up his remaining energy. The pair began glowing with energy then the glow left them, staying solid. The energy formed a ball over a towel Mech had spread purposefully on the floor. He waved it away and a good amount of water splashed to the floor, mostly absorbed by the towel. San looked a little surprised but Mech explained. "I wasn't sure that would work, but most books I've read where the characters had powers like this could do that and I figured it couldn't hurt. All I did was use telekinesis to gather up all the water. Much faster and easier."
"Well I'm impressed." San yawned. "Man it's late, night."
"Good night." Mech replied. He could have said more, she was already asleep so he lay on the bed next to San, but sleep didn't come. "Myuu, you awake?" Mech thought.
"Yes. You wanted to ask something?" Myuu said.
"Couple things. First, what is with all these nurses looking all alike?"
"I don't know. Could be anything, lots of twins, incest, clones, robots."
"The worlds may never know. Anyway, what do you think about me and San?"
"I think it's great though not many will share my view, be they pokémon or human. I have no doubt my interference in giving you my powers started this whole thing and things would have been very different had I not."
"Good to know. Next question, why did Mewthree bring me back just to kill me, he could have done it at any time."
"Since I share your mind, I can read it at will."
"Oh boy." Mech said nervously.
"Yeah, there's a lot of stuff I wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole in here, but I did review your memory of how you got here. My guess at the moment is he needs to kill you in the past to get something that you have and he doesn't know where it is or maybe only you can find. I have to say I almost gave up the ghost, so to speak when I saw half of the stuff in here, but I'll have to assume that's a guy thing."
"Oh yeah, I almost forgot you were a girl."
"Good move, antagonize the girl who could scramble your brain meats. Mind. GRRR!" Myuu mentally shouted in frustration "Your mind is starting to scramble mine. That came from your memories."
"Sorry. And here I thought I was kind of smart. Anyway, last question, transform."
"Your mind is overpowering mine so that's something. I knew you'd want to know about that last Mew power. Well it's activated like any other move you do, but with the difference you have to focus on what you want to be. Though in many cases some things carry over, like a scar or missing limbs. Many of the things that carry over are permanent and will reoccur no matter your form, as the aforementioned missing body parts, or a trademark symbol."
"Sounds easy. I'm going to give it a try. Does it hurt?"
"Not at all." Myuu replied, but Mech had a sneaking suspicion she was lying. "And don't try right now, it's late and takes a lot more energy then you have."
"Fair enough. Another question then, how come when I call out moves for my pokémon, how come I don't do them as well?"
"Do you intend to do them yourself?"
"No."
"Then you won't."
"So it's more intent then what I say?"
"Yes."
"Thanks, good night." Mech yawned.

"I can't believe it's still raining." Bob complained. The rain that had started the previous night had not let up the following morning so the trio was confined to the center.
"I still don't get why we can't try traveling to Canalave City even if it is raining." Guma commented in English.
"Because there are two ways there, air and sea, both are dangerous during storms like this one." Bob replied.
"Yeah, I don't know if I can swim good, I have not tried." Nabooru agreed also in English.
"Now that's different, a Riolu that speaks English." Ganty noticed. She had been pretty quiet most of the morning.
"Yeah, though she could use some lessons." Bob added.
"Oak was pretty happy to get that info I sent him" Mech said changing the subject.
"Who's Oak?" Ganty asked.
"Some guy I'm working for. I'm just researching more stuff for the pokédex for a little extra cash." Mech explained. "Bob is just well, beating all the gyms I guess."
"Not much of a unique goal." Ganty smirked. "So how did you end up with your team?"
"Oh long story." Mech said "But briefly, San I met in a forest and I was sort of lost so we teamed up; Subomi I caught; Hitokage, well Darunia you know his story; Guma was a thief until I caught him; Erureido I got after I helped him evolve and his trainer abandoned him; and Ruto, Darunia hatched from an egg."
"Hmm. So Subomi, why do you have hands instead of flowers?" Ganty asked.
"Didn't Plusun tell you?" Subomi asked. "Well then, simply, my grandfather was a Monferno, my dad a Pikachu. Don't ask."
"What about you little guy?" Ganty asked, picking up Guma.
"Not sure. We think Team Rocket is responsible, for my fur and speech, though my mom looked normal." Guma said.
"Team Rocket messed with you too?" Farore asked.
"Huh?"
"Oh right, you weren't in on the conversation, Team Rocket made her evolve." Erureido explained. The two had been talking for a while.
"So? I made you evolve." Guma reminded him.
"I said her."
"OOOHHHHH." Guma said. "Well I guess we both have a vendetta against those buffoons, though we've only met three and one's dead now."
"Grunts are hardly worth bragging about. The night I got out, after the police had freed me, I killed several dozen grunts on my way out."
"These guys weren't grunts; they called themselves the Command Triad." Mech explained.
"The Command Triad, I remember that name, they were the secondary leaders below the boss though he didn't let his name get around so no one could rat him out." Farore said. "If you took one of those out it could disrupt the organization and help destroy it. That's all I want, to wipe those scum off the planet. They screwed up not just my life, but yours Guma, and thousands of others. I will not stop until they are completely decimated."
"Good, cause I'm after one of their most dangerous, evil, and powerful experiments." Mech agreed. "Though I think we should try to forcibly disband them before we kill them."
"Yeah, I know they made you into a female Gallade, but still it could have been a lot worse." Erureido said trying to calm her.
"How so? I'm a freak!"
"It could have failed and killed you. Wouldn't that be worse?"
"Sometimes I think I may have been better off if it had killed me."
"She really hates what happened to her." Ganty whispered. "Most interesting back story on my team."
"You'd be hard pressed to beat that." Mech agreed.
"So where are you two from?" Ganty asked. It was a simple question but one Mech nor Bob could answer truthfully.
"Eterna City." Mech said thinking quickly. "Both of us. I met San in the nearby forest and he met Naetoru not long after."
"Err, yeah, pretty dull childhood. Though he was always talking to those pokémon." Bob agreed.
"I did the same, in Viridian I had a lot of pokémon friends. And there a couple other kids had the same gift but none really took advantage of it like I did. That's where I met Kyukon. Her wings bothered other pokémon but not me so she became my first pokémon. A lot of people were bothered also, and I think it was then I decided to search out other pokémon like her. I met Buoysel also in Kanto, Plusun in Hoenn, and Farore in Sinnoh. We've been just about everywhere in Kanto and Hoenn so far." Ganty finished. "So do you two know how you are getting to Canalave City?"
"We could fly there, or surf the distance." Bob replied. "We'll have to see how things look after this storm blows over."
