"Prologue" + Chapter 1 "Freedom"

"Prologue"

Darkness is all around us. Lurking in the crevasses, seeping into the light. Consuming everyone and everything that fall into the shadows of despair. Hamos himself has been touched by evil. He managed to escape before it completely consumed him. However, the dreadful memories still lurk, not long forgotten. He can still hear his families screams. His parents cries of pain and agony. He remembers those evil purple eyes. They still haunt him to this very day. They fill his thoughts every time he tried to remember his mom and dad's faces. They destroyed all of his dreams and then reveled themselves in his every nightmare. Depression is all but his life now, tortured by those who hurt and use him. He didn't care though, life didn't matter anymore. He had nothing to live for, he just wishes he'd just die. However, destiny had other plans for him. And soon his life would take a much needed turn, for the better!

Chapter 1 "Freedom"

The whips lash out at him, piercing his skin...the pain all too familiar. His body...almost numb to the abuse that had entered his life. The whip lashes out again. The watery tears never stop falling. He remains still, almost lifeless as his body gets violated over and over. Sometimes not by the same person. The humans treated him as nothing more then a toy for their enjoyment. The blood starts to drip as it always had during each of his treatments. The mansion big enough for his screams of pain and agony to echo. Yet no one came to save him. He had lost faith and hope some time ago.

The family of bastardly cowards found him almost lifeless at that moment of sight. They picked him up like he was there own property. He got thrown in the trunk of the car. They drove on, not caring to avoid the potholes. He got slammed against the sides and roof of the trunk. Blood poured out from his tiny cuts that had been administered by the metal.

He kept his breathing slow, his black patch of hair on his head spread into two separate lengths laying against the back of his neck. Even as a vulpix his hair was black and long. Not spiral tufts like a normal fox pokemon. He had been born different. His paws blood red which is where his families name was derived from. And if you top off his "Emo" look, his tails were just as pitch black as his hair. The last thing that separates him from every other vulpix in the world were his eyes. They shined deep ocean blue with the black pupil in the middle and the normal white outlining with a clear visual of his tiny veins. Usually sparkling with innocence, normally caring and lovable. But since he lost his family, lost everything, his life and his body were now always lifeless. His soul small and torn. It hid in a corner of his heart waiting for that one special soul to reawaken, heal and hold him.

The whip lashes out again and his so called master kicks him in the ribs. He falls down coughing up blood. The light gone from his now dull eyes. He may not be dead on the outside, but he is sure dead on the inside from what everyone seems to know.

Already a Ninetales after being forcibly evolved by his home owners. As if this could even be called a home for him. His cage was just as blood red as his paws. Stained from his blood from every session he's had since he was a pup. And now different from his childhood days, when he was a vulpix. The tips of his tails were dipped in blood reddish color while he evolved. His fur at the end of his now, nine tails were the exact color of his paws. The color was there to stay along with his now newly golden fur that covered every normal colored patch of fur on his body.

The winding stair case with royal red and blue carpet placed over them were made of the finest red oak. The rich slobs that lived in this so called palace were rapist and abusers. They didn't deserve to live so well, so fine. Yet it's always the evil ones that get all the spoils. While the rest of us who struggle through life do what's right and help others.

Paintings of their ancestors hung all along the walls. All just as snobby and rich looking. The ceiling a bright golden color with flawless designs along the ridges. The center of it all, hung down in a bulb like form. This looked like a place to put in a lighting device of some sort, but it was all wood. It's design the same as the rest of the house. Old art that has long been forgotten. But at the time of it's creation, a symbol for all those who were rich enough to afford it, could show it off to the world saying, we are better then you!

Huge windows littered the hallways and most of the mansion. Letting in the much needed light. But even on the brightest of days, Hamos didn't even blink. He had learned to drown out most of his feelings and thought. He was basically an empty shell. However, even when all of this was apparent and the smell of his dried blood on his fur filled the air. There was still something beautiful about him. Something that his owners could not take away. The places that had not been touched were still bright and shiny. The fur still had an amazing and an elegant glow to it.

Today was amazingly quiet! They had apparently gone out today which they did very rarely. And now I lay here in my cage. The same cold, smooth, blood stained one that I had slept in every single dark lonely night since that very day they brought me here. Speaking of coldness, I very rarely feel this content. I haven't been left alone in a long time. Yet even without their torturing, the smell of evil was still in the air. However, my senses were long gone for me to pick up on exactly what they were.

The car pulled in the driveway with the some kind of a truck behind it. I found this odd but didn't care to question it. I kept my eyes shut just like they had been all this time. The door opened to the summer breeze blowing in the fresh smell of dandelions and wild flowers. All was not quiet though and the sounds of a struggling creature echoed into the room. The men were apparently tugging in what I would believe to be their new play toy. I heard the claws scrape the cement walkway. The sound of the whip smacking the flesh of this new innocent soul should have made me flinch. But my body didn't move and the sound of it snapping again still didn't bring my body to react to it. I must have been worn down. And maybe that's why they were bringing in this new body.

That smell...what...what was it! It was such a beautiful smell! I loved it! At that point I felt a tingle of happiness go through me for the first time since long ago I had forgotten. However, once this new presence front paws slid across the carpet. The feeling was quickly gone, and it was now that I opened my eye lid a slit, just enough to see what was happening and who was this new being. I already knew by the smell that this creature was female. But it didn't dawn on me till I saw her elegant body. It was quite a sight for anyone to see! I opened both my eyes and lifted my head. I laid there starring at her. Her body muscular, yet curved like a four-legged should be. There was a sparkle to her fur. It gleamed in the sunlight and brightened up her surroundings. Her fur a beautiful light purple and bold white striped was nothing less then dazzling.

She fought against the humans as they tugged and pulled her inside inch by inch. Half of her body was now in the room and as she struggled, she caught the scent of something. She looked up and stood still as a stone looking toward the cage at the ninetale. There was curiosity in her eyes. However, as the humans pushed again, they knocked her to the ground while she had been caught off guard. She had forgotten what was happening to her. She quickly got up and growled at the man. Making half of them flinch in fear. She looked back at the fox pokemon with pleading eyes. She even whined at the ninetale for help.

Hamos felt something surge through him and he quickly had the strength to stand up. But he still didn't do anything because he knew that as long as was caged in here, there was nothing he could do to break free to help her. He stuck his snout through the bars trying to get closer. But he was still a good five feet away from any of them. He prayed that one of them would trip and fall into his grasp. She struggled with all her might. There were just to many of them and even she couldn't handle them all!

The owner and descendant of the many generations of kings who have owned this land had apparently had enough. His families generations go so far back that no one knew exactly how long they have been here. He was named after his father and so on going back to the first king who had claimed this land. His name was "King", just like all the kings before him.

He pulled out a gun and shot her with a tranquilizer dart. Hamos barked and started raging inside his steel barred cage. King looked over at his pet and smiled wide.

King: Set her up right there.

King walked over to the starring cage. It was bolted to the floor so all it was doing was shaking against the wood flooring. Hamos had his teeth bared and his growling was merciless. King kneeled before him and spoke in his burning voice.

King: She got your attention now, hasn't she! What do you expect to do all caged up there?

King looked back over at the sleeping creature. She was now set up for him. King looked back at Hamos and smiled wide.

King: Well if you care so much about her, then I don't think you'll mind watching me breaking her in then do you?

Hammy's eyes went wide. He jumped at King, only to be stopped by the metal bars. He lashed out into the air, trying his hardest to reach King. King however, got up and headed back over to his new toy. He ran his hands through her fur. He looked back over to Hamos who was now lashing out wildly as his body temperature started to rise rapidly. King took out his whip and slashed her side. He chuckled in satisfaction and looked back over to the cage.

King: I think you'll enjoy this almost as much as I'm going to!

He laughed with evil and whipped her again. Hamos was now in a rage. His eyes caught slight of her blood trickling down her body. He roared in pure fury. Something was happening, something had awoken inside him. His eyes shone brightly and the veins in them grew bigger. He thrashed against the metal bars on both sides of his neck. They started to bend and creak! King had noticed what was going on and stared in shock. Hamos roared loudly and the house shook from the wave his roar created. His body started to heal his cuts and his bruises. His fur coat shone brighter then his eyes. The colors restored and his body recovering. His health was rejuvenated and his heart beat could be heard throughout the entire room. Everyone stood there, almost tranced by the sight. The light that his body had suddenly admitted had got brighter and his claws grew back. They had been cut everyday up until this one. He yelped as the power surged through him. He howled toward the ceiling and the light faded away. His neck fully exposed in all it's glory and his head held high into the air. It was only now that anyone really noticed how big he had been all these years.

Even as a vulpix, he was big for his breed. He was almost twice the size of any normal vulpix. And now as a ninetales he still held his overwhelming size difference over the entire ninetales population. He was at his life height of five feet tall and ten feet in length when his tails were fully extended. The normal average height was about three feet, seven inches. Also he weighed a lot more then normal. His average weight was around eighty pounds. There never was and never will be a ninetales out there like him ever again.

The bars started to melt beneath his power and the bars themselves started to break. He flung out his paw at the bars, extending his claws. He sliced through the metal like butter. It was slightly dark around his cage like it normally was when he was left alone. It made it all the more scary to see his head lift into the light. His eyes fiery and furious and now they filled with what seemed to be his own blood. His blood started to spread all through his eyes. Coxing them underneath the conjunctiva of his eyes. His eyes burned with fury, and power. He took a step forward, out of the cage and onto the floor. The immense heat that emitted from his skin, that boiled in his blood sent the red oak flooring ablaze. The fire quickly spread around the building. Burning the paintings, cracking the glass and melting just about everything else. However, it wasn't the red and orange flames that left King breathless. It was the figure in front of him that made his heart stop and start without notice. As horrifying as it was, in some way it was also beautiful! The four legged fox creature was perfect in every way. And that wasn't even the intimidating part about him! His teeth would make you flinch when they were bared. His size would make you feel small. His scent was strong enough to make your heart stop, even though it was quite pleasant when you withdrew yourself from cowering in the corner. The sound of his growl was so fierce that it could freeze you where you stand. And that's exactly what it did to King. He couldn't move because he was to scared. His fear held him firm in his place as the fox stared him down.

Hamos: KIINNGG! You worthless piece of shit!

Hamos took a step closer toward King. They were now only feet apart and the mansion fell all around them. The female animal was protected by a barrier that Hamos had created.

Hamos: You shall pay for what you've done...You shall pay for what your ancestors have done to the innocent! I will right a wrong that your family has set. I will destroy their heritage with horror in my heart and soul!

Hamos took another step forward and he was now face to face with King. The human was quivering where he stood. He spoke quietly to King, just barely loud enough to hear over the crackle of the fire.

Hamos: You will wish you WERE dead!

Kings eyes went wide, and before he even had a chance to move. He was on the floor with a massive body hovering over him. King screamed for help and tried to flail out at Hamos. But he found himself still unable to move. It felt like he was wrapped in invisible chains and they were fastened so he couldn't move. However, they were loose enough to let him breath. Nothing could have scared him more then this moment right now.

Hamos breathed his burning breath on King's neck. He leaned in and let his voice fill King's ear.

Hamos: I hope you enjoy yourself......In Hell!

King's eyes went wide and before he knew it. He saw Hamos with his head held high looking down on him. As Hamos breathed out, a drip of blood fell onto the human's cheek. He stared at the pokemon's mouth. He saw the blood that glazed his teeth. That's when he felt it! He tried to scream out in agony, but couldn't! He grasped his neck and started to choke The blood pooled out onto the floor. Hamos watched as King suffered a painful death. The human squirmed beneath him. Hamos felt no pity, he felt no regret. He did what was right, even if part of this was out of revenge. He had good intentions and did what needed to be done. His eyes returned to their normal blue and he spoke once more.

Hamos: You will never feel the pain you have inflicted on others...on the innocent! I hope you die painfully!

He trotted over and picked up the still unconscious female. She herself was also quite large when seen up close. Even so, her size was smaller then that compared to Hamos. He quite easily picked her up, it was like she didn't even way a pound but he felt her on his back. He looked at her, in all her beauty. He smiled and said.

Hamos: Your safe now beautiful!

With her on his back, he run and blinding speed and ripped through the glass. He landed elegantly and looked back through the hole in the window. He watched King as his body started to bleed to death.

King spasmed violently every few seconds. The pain certainly bearable to that of the pain that he had inflicted on others. The iris in his eyes started to grow dull and his body was losing strength. He could barely breath, let alone move at this point. He stared at the flame engulfed ceiling as he slowly faded away.

The roof began to crack and sink downward. The fire bursting from the windows. Hamos waited for a second, just to watch the structure fall to the ground.

Just before the life had been completely taken away from King. The scorched roof above him collapsed. His body was flattened underneath the structure. His reign of evil had been put to rest.

Hamos turned his head with to grief, no sorrow. Only horror and righteousness filled his emotions right now and a sense of good for what he did. He glanced back at the figure on his back and felt warmth spread through him. In his mind he was thinking, "Who are you...."! He turned his head back around and sprinted off. No idea where he was or where he was headed. He just wanted to get as far away from here as possible and something told him this was the right way.

The sun shone bright down on him as he jogged through the forrest. However, at the speed he was going, you would think he was sprinting, trying to out run death. The wind through his fur was very pleasant. He was hit by a sudden happy feeling, it was practically allen to him. It had been so long since he felt this way. The smells and the scenery were so bright and so joyful. However, others would probably only see a blur. If they weren't already throwing up by that time.

He stopped dead before a large lake. Amazingly the female on his back did not go flying forward. She just slid into the fox's neck. She was breathing and from what Hamos could tell, she was healthy. He set her down softly by her scruff and took in the moment.

He knew this place, he didn't know why or from where. But something told him, he was home. He sat down by the waters edge and took a drink. Lapping up the cool natural water. He brought his head up and sighed in relief. A few drips of water dripped from his neck.

The sun was past the noon position in the sky. It was nice to see it clearly again. To breath in the crisp air was something that can never be replaced. It was practically all new again to him.

He glanced over again toward his companion. She was still sound asleep. A different feeling blew Hamos off his feet. He felt his stomach twirl inside his body. He blushed as her scent filled his nose. It was so pleasant, so...addictive! He couldn't help but to stare at her. She was just as beautiful asleep as she was awake. Even so, she was cuter in a way. He didn't know why, but he was unconsciously and undeniably attracted to her. She filled him with this warm feeling since the moment she stepped into his presence.

He looked out into the lake water and saw a fish jump. It shouldn't have been a big deal. But for Hamos it got him riled up. He barked playfully at it and paced awkwardly at the waters edge waiting to see if it would jump again. And sure enough, it did! A magikarp breached the lake water and then fell back in.

Hamos jumped into the water and paddled faster than a speedboat could go at full throttle. Finally he reached the spot where he saw the fish jump. It had taken seconds for him to reach the center of the mile wide lake. And just as he was about to dive under, it hit him. Why didn't the water hurt? Of course it was cold, but it wasn't freezing. How could he swim in water and not be effected by it?

He looked around to make sure he wasn't hallucinating and that he was really in the water. He looked back at the banking behind him and sure enough, there was the purple and white striped beauty. Still sleeping soundly and safely. He suddenly sensed something. He looked back in front of him and just as he did. A magikarp popped it's head out of the water right in front of his maw easy for the snatching. It looked at him and "karped". It was undeniably the same magikarp that had gotten Hamos hyper.

They just stared at each other. Then in slow motion in his eyes, the fish was jumping right at Hamos. It curved it's body so that it's flaky tail could give Hamos a good slap right across the face.

It was all so slow to him. Someone apparently hit the slow motion button in his mind, while Hamos himself could move at the same normal pace like he always had before. Everything in the world went slower in his eyes. And before the magikarp could slap him a good hard hit on the left side of his face, Hamos opened his jaw and caught the fish in his mouth with little effort on his part.

Then, just like that. Everything returned to the normal speed that Hamos remembered. He was so shocked that he jerked his head back and forth. Looking around to make sure everything was as it should be. Once he had calmed down, he finally understood! He had the power to slow down time itself! He was so happy that he jumped up out of the water like a fish himself and stood on it. For some reason, this did not surprise him. He just lifted his paw to watch a dip of water hit the lake beneath him.

Hamos didn't just discover his hidden powers within him. He was starting to uncover a deeper knowledge and understanding within himself. His brain worked so fast! He knew exactly how to use his new powers and how strong they can become. He knew the boundaries he could break at any given moment. The fur covering his body was standing on end. So many things he now knew, but there was no reason behind it.

Settling back down with the fish still in his mouth, he thought for a second. Everything hit him so fast, yet...it didn't faze him. So much knowledge thrown at someone should send them over the edge. At the least, severe migraines that should be so unbearable that they killed themselves to escape the agony. But no, he just stood there on the water and took it all in like a breath of fresh air. Still so much he didn't know. So many powers that may yet still lay dormant inside of him. At least Hamos now had a better understanding of himself.

The sun was starting to set and the sight was beautiful! Only now did Hamos realize that he had a fish in his maw. He smiled childishly while exhaling. He turned around elegantly and trotted back to shore in a very full of himself manner.

Apparently all that knowledge didn't destroy the kid within him. The very same part of himself that he never got a chance to be was finally emerging along with his mature side. He knew when he could be playful and when to be serious. Even so, he wanted to have as much fun as possible!

He jumped back on land and set the dead fish down next to the slumbering blessing of which has been cast upon him. He threw his head toward the woods and he wondered if another power he had was the ability to levitate objects. He concentrated hard. The blood rushed into his eyes. Sticks and branches that had fallen to the ground flew out of the forrest and into the sky above Hamos. His eyes were fixed on them at all times. He now arranged them into a cone like shape and set them on the ground. He used a flamethrower on the stack of wood and caught it on fire. He then directed his attention to the fish and levitated it over the fire, cooking it throughly. Hamos then took the fish over and set it in front of the females nose. He slowly backed away and waited.

Slowly the aroma of the fish woke up the slumbering angel. She took in a good whiff of the fresh cooked scent. She opened her eyes and with a watering mouth, quickly devoured the fish in seconds. She then preceded to lick the grass on which it had been placed upon.

It suddenly hit her! She didn't have a clue where she was. She started to freak out and pace around randomly. She then caught sight of the fox that had rescued her. She remembered him from that building that she had been forced into. She jumped so suddenly and so swiftly that Hamos didn't even have a chance to act upon it with his powers. Instead his body twitched just before it was thrown to the ground underneath the weight of the female.

She licked his face in-between thank you's and nuzzles. She purred happily and kissed his cheek. Hamos blushed so badly that it was noticeable through his fur. And every time her tongue ran along his body, he would twitch slightly in pleasure.

Female: Thank you! Thank you so much!!! I wish I could repay you...but I don't know how! You saved my life...I don't think I'll ever be able to repay you for that! Thank you so much!

Hamos: You already have, you saved me! Please don't ask me to explain it now, but just know that you have! May I ask what is your name?

Female: Jules! Can I have the name of my heroic savior?

Hamos: "Giggles" Of course! I'm Hamos!

Jules: Hamos??? That's an odd name! I don't mean to be mean. But can I suggest a better one?

Hamos: Be my guest beautiful!

Jules: "Blushes" Weeeeell...since you Twitched every time I licked you...

Hamos: "Blushes deeper"

Jules: I was wondering if I could call you Twitch!?

Hamos: "Blushing" I would be honored to be referred to as Twitch!

Jules: "Giggles"

Finally, I feel happy, now I feel like I am totally complete!
Chapter End Notes:Twitch, as we now know him to be will be going under an amazing transformation while making new friends along the way and discovering his true powers
