Chapter 6: Clouds of Steiros-mitra Civilization

"So how about it Psiquico?" A elderly man yelled, seeming to have a challenge hearing himself.

"What?" A young child said in reply, his body mostly engulfed the darkness of the room, his silver eyes seeming to be the only clear sign that he was there.

"I said-" The elderly man was cut off as the boy, Psiquico replied quickly.

"I know quite well what you said, yet you never told me quite what your talking about. What am I to be ready for dear grandfather?" Pisquico said his voice almost mocking.

"Damn it boy, every word you say is with malice." The old man said.

"Could you hear it? I am surprised." The Psiquico said dully.

"Despite your snake tongue I have little choice in the matter. As you have pointed out time and time again...I am getting old." The man almost muttered his last words.

"What a surprise." Psiquico replied.

"I can not help but respect you, for what ever reason I can not tell. I have a simple job for you, I want you to move our family stone to Chrysanthemum Island, the damn Officer Jenny freak group that has at least one family member in every city and town won't accept bribes. So I am having harder time hiding it." The old man said his voice yelling again.

"Perhaps it is, that you are simply to old to properly hold onto the family secret." Psiquico replied.

"I am not done yet fool, in four months I was to turn C.S.C over to you." The old man laughed faintly.

"Tell me as to why it is no longer as dated." Psiquico said, his voice turning from mocking to annoyed. Feeling sure that this meant that this old man was to hold the organization longer. It annoyed him that the old man had held on as long as he did, he was to soft, taking to bribing more then 'removal'. This lead to snitches dragging the name Xataru to the ground with each claim. The old man smiled noticing his grandsons anger, the boy was more prone to violence and seemed to hold more interest in money then he did as a boy. Yet he was giving this youth power to soon it felt, or perhaps it was his own lust for power that held him back. He remembered fondly when he had been like that, his own silver eye's just as hungry and violent, his own teeth just as sharp... "Grandfather, speak now!" The old man almost jumped in his seat, realizing he had zoned out, lost in his own memories.

"Very well, Psiquico it is not that I am extending the time of my control, its that I am shortening it. One month from now, your going to be in control of the Clouds of Steiro-mitra Civilization." The old man mentally laughed behind his reasons for this, even now he could feel his insides churning as they had for his own grandfather long ago, when his hair was still that unnatural green shade.

"Are you sure this is the place Master Leon? It seems rather empty here, I assumed there would be others." Ninetails said following softly behind Leon, Lucario following beside him thinking softly.

"I know where I am going, the place should be over this hill." Leon replied glancing back at Ninetails, his silver eyes seeming to shine faintly.

"Umm, I have been with Leon for a year...he never gets lost..." Lucario said in a mutter.

"I see, yet I have yet to 'see' sign of anyone nearby, would not a service such as this attract the attention of others besides ourselves?" Ninetails asked.

"I guess..." Leon muttered, Ninetails words making him a bit unsure of himself.

"I see the aura of a Human and a Alakazam, they are not far away." Lucario said closing her eyes for a short time, making it easier to see exactly how far. "...Leon was right, its over this hill..." Leon glanced down at her offering a smile. Why had it taken him so long to realize how quick she was to back him up before? Lucario felt herself blush under Leon's silver eyes, they had such a pleasant feeling to them.

"Thank you Lucario..." Leon muttered.

"Hm, do you wish to get a room Master Leon, and his mate Lucario or do so where you stand?" Ninetails said her words mix of laughter and a weak formal tone. Lucario felt herself blush as Ninetails spoke, Leon seeming more or less ignorant of the comment as he looked back to the road they were on.

"We...should probably hurry, it never really told a time but I don't think they will stay at night." Leon said his walking becoming almost a jog as he got over the large hill. "There they are." Leon said pointing to a small line standing in front of a booth a image of a Alakazam slapped on a wood overboard. As they started to climb down the hill to join the line a young boy around fifteen popped into existence standing by Alakazam. The boy seemed to smile with the same demon like teeth as Leon, his eyes even showing the same shade of sliver.

"Leon, is that Zack?" Lucario said tugging softly at Leon's sleeve.

"May I ask as to who this, Zack is?" Ninetails asked, steeping between Leon and Lucario.

"A friend of mine from the Alkazon family, or something like that." Leon replied seeming to quick his pace.

"Alkazon family?" Ninetails replied in question again.

"Sorry my dad got me in the habit of saying that he is from that family. Kind of surprised it still pops up. Anyway, his family and mine, the Lucai tend to have a lot of friends in between. So my dad did that kind of thing out of respect." Leon said.

"Hm, that's rather interesting..." Ninetails said mentally picking at last names. "..where may I ask do the last names come from?"

"I don't know, last names tend to come from a lot of different things, sometimes from jobs someone in the past did or a status they had." Leon said, as they reach the line. Why did it seem they moved so fast? He never really talked much, and neither did Lucario so most of the time, everything felt slow, he just enjoyed absorbing the silence. Looking at the world around him. In a way he enjoyed explaining things, it reminded him of when he was ten. Back then, he was more interest in science. He loved to spout out random facts he may have learned from random places, even more when his father happened to not know it. (Or pretend he didn't know) It was kind of funny how Leon was the only one in his family who felt sort of out of place though. Like his father and the father before that, he held the same gray eyes, the same sharp teeth, the same hunger for knowledge. Yet it felt like his hair set him apart from his family, his sister had blue hair, as well as every one else who was born into the family. He even once heard his grandfather saying how Leon was a mutation, a break in the line.

"Umm, Leon?" Lucario muttered her paw taking hold of his hand, her red eyes looking into his, "What's the matter?" Leon looked to see that most of the line was gone. He had zoned out while thinking. Maybe time still does tend to move fast when thinking...

"Oh nothing, just zoning out." Leon replied.
"Perhaps thinking of the past?" Ninetails said, her words seeming to always hold that formal tone, yet always giving Leon the impression she was laughing inside.

"Kind of...I am more used to thinking or acting then really talking." Leon said.

"I see... Regardless, both you, Master Leon and Lucario may need to work more on becoming social, otherwise I may start to pick up on your dull manner." Ninetails said.

"Umm, does it really matter?" Lucario asked.

"Surly, why would it be good to lack the ability to inspire the enjoyment of other company who happen across you?" Ninetails said in reply, the hint of laughter not noticed as her tone turned more formal.

"Leon's never been much of a talker, lady." A boy said, his voice seeming laid back and slightly hissed from air blowing through his teeth. Ninetails glanced up seeing Zack standing next to them, the line was gone and they had been talking next to the booth for a minute now, more interested in the conversation going on around the Pokémon. Ninetails reacted with surprise.

"He can understand me as well?" Ninetails said her voice seeming more confused slightly losing it's formality.

"Cool down girl, I didn't mean to scare ya." Zack said seeming to smile. "So how ya doing bro? Any new badges?" He added as he looked at Leon.

"Last time I saw you I only had a badge, so yea, I have five now." Leon replied seeming happy to talk to a friend. With his laid back tone it would surprise anyone that this guy was a genius, like most of his family (and a small portion of Leon's own). Leon didn't know where Zack got it, his parents spoke a lot like Ninetails then like some surfer dude.

"How does this child understand me?" Ninetails asked, seeming confused still.

"Like I said before," Leon replied "I don't know, just anyone who happens to be have been born into the Lucai or Alkazon develop the ability to understand Pokémon."

"Lucario stated before how she didn't know why you understood her and didn't seem to understand me." Ninetails replied.

"Um, I meant I didn't know how he could, and I meant that I didn't know why he didn't understand you.... We never bothered to figure out how long it took till he understood a Pokémon...um, it was mostly random till recently." Lucario added in.

"Dude? Your mental translator was still going at random? You should get that checked, most of your family have the time fixed at a day for it to start up at sixteen." Zack said.

"What can I say?" Leon replied, "I'm odd even for my family."

"This both bothers and confuses me." Ninetails said. "So there may be more who are capable of gaining such abilities?"

"Maybe." Leon replied, "Anyway, Zack, so why would 'you' need to run a transportation business?"

"Ran out of money hangin in Saffron City, so I been offer'n ride's to people. Stopped doing it in the towns because some ocker's kept try'n to push in." Zack said.

"Well you work fast I saw advertisements' in town." Leon replied.

"They still have those up? I was thinkin' they had pulled them down by now." Zack said, "Anyway, how can I be doin ya business?"

"Oh yea, almost forgot, we happen to be heading for Saffron City." Leon said. "Can we get a warp up there?"

"Oh...dude, you might not like it up there now, C.S.C took up base for a protest, those are bad dudes to hang with man." Zack said

"What are they protesting about?" Leon asked.

"No idea, seems like another lab they might just be bullying." Zack said. "Maybe ya could hang with me and Luca for a few day's till it blows over?"

"...No, I can't we already have been holding back to long, I kind of got stuck in the last city for a day or so more then I planned, I need to speed up." Leon said.

"Bro, you know you can't take on those dudes on your own." Zack said.

"That's why I need to get stronger." Leon replied.

"Leon, are you sure?" Luca the Alakazam said, her words echoing in Leon's head, as she spoke them aloud.

"Yes, it's time I meant them anyway, maybe I can help that lab." Leon replied. Zack just shrugged and looked at Luca, most likely talking through the use of the psychic powers of Alakazam.

"So tell me Leon, what is the common Pokémon of your family?" Ninetails said, her mind still playing with the last name of Leon and Zack. Leon seemed to be zoned out, or maybe he was mixed in the mental conversation with Luca and Zack. Lucario noticed this and replied for him.

"Umm, I think Leon once said it was Lucario, Luna liked to laugh about how even though when he was born they could not find one for him. He ended up with me anyway." Lucario said, stuttering slightly on her words.

"Okay then, I guess we will send ya up there dude." Zack suddenly said.

"Thanks for the help Zack." Leon said quickly in reply.

"Hey, me and Luca have a job to do, might as well do it." Zack replied. "Beam us up Luca." The Pokémon nodded golden lines seeming to spread from her attaching to the small group of people and Pokémon. Leon blinked as he felt something blowing into his face, as if the wind was pulling at his skin. In the blink of a eye they were gone, wind blowing softly on the ground where they once stood. Nothing really happened in the space they moved through. Leon looking around his eye's unable to see anything but the five of them, their image swirling and blurring as they moved in this unknown realm. It felt like all the air was rushing to his ears as they dropped out of the darkness, sounds and smells overwhelming his senses for several seconds till he notices a gasping Alakazam resting on her knees. "Sorry Luca..." Zack said laying a hand softly on her shoulder before turning around and looking at Leon. "Well I guess we misjudged how far we can get you guys. Sorry we will have to rest a day before she can get the rest of the way."

"Oh well, at least we got somewhere." Leon glanced around, "Looks like we are a few miles from where were started."

"How can you assume as such?" Ninetails said, glancing down to hid her face she was little more then a puff ball of frizz. Leon looked over to answer stopping short of laughing, he tried to hid it but unlike Leon, she could tell emotions quite clearly. "Please look away." Ninetails muttered.

"Sorry." Leon said quickly before pointing down south slightly. "This is pretty close to a good camp site so we kind of lucked out. Down south a little there is a river, and I think there is a commonly used clearing set up for Pokémon trainers so it has a outdoor's grill and I think the grass is normally cut low by some locals who try to encourage trainers to pass by."

"That's a cool dude, ya never get lost do ya?" Zack said giving Leon a high five before calling Luca into her Poké-ball. "Let's head out then might want to set up camp before the rain."

"That may explain my predicament quite well. Regardless, I request nobody to glance in my direction till a later date." Ninetails said, sad at the state of her fur.

"Why not just go back to ya Poké-ball?" Zack asked.

"Simply put, I wish to remain outside of my Poké-ball, it had grown rather tiresome." Ninetails replied

"Oh. That's cool." Zack said, already losing interest. "Hey Leon?"

"Yea?" Leon replied.

"I was wondering, last time we spoke you gave me a drawing of a idea for a Pokémon healing unit." Zack said, "See your idea was working fine till the Z-5 chrome tubing, It looks like it's having a problem sending the right wave." Leon shrugged, it seemed to confused Ninetails more as Zack's accent changed, even more so as he was talking about things she didn't understand.

"Well I thought about that while I was traveling a bit I knew something about that bothered me, so I looked into it a while, I think I messed up and meant a Z-4. Sorry about that"

"Okay dude, we make mistakes sometimes." Zack replied laughing at it.

"Anyway as for the wave, you might be transmitting on a micro frequency, otherwise it would have received something." Leon said going on. The two following Pokémon more or less confused as to their conversation.

"Cool, that might solve it all up for me." Zack said, pulling out a silver orb. "This is what we got so far, kind of crud but best we could do without you on staff."

"I don't think I will be coming back any time soon." Leon replied.

"I know dude." Zack said handing it to Leon. Leon just gave him a questioning look for a second before realizing that they had just stepped into a open field, a small metal grill stood on a metal bar holding it a few feet off the ground as well as kept it in place. More around the place seemed to be surrounding by a small garden, a river running softly a little further away hidden behind the tree's.

"Well we're here." Leon said, a loud boom of thunder suddenly sounding overhead. "Okay time to hurry." Leon added dropping his bag quickly. "Um, Lucario, where do I keep the tent?"

"Umm, Top pocket, I think you have it stuffed at the top since you have not got anything new recently." Lucario replied.

"Thanks." Leon replied quickly pulling it out just as a few small drops started falling down. "Zack, you might want to set yours up soon to."

"No prob dude, already set." Zack pointed to the left, a large tent (larger then Leon's small tent anyway) rested, the faint sound of a pump going stopped just as he notice the sound.

"A C.S.X auto tent? You said you ran out of money." Leon said stopping what he was doing for a second before going back into a rush to put it up.

"Dude, why do you think I ran out of cash?" Zack replied. "This thing cost in the three thousands, they are giving a sale for them and I still almost went broke buying it."

"How convenient for you." Leon said as he finally got the tent up, still felling up accomplish as he notice how much large Zack's was in comparison.

"Master Leon, if I may be so bold, may I ask how we are to fit in there?" Ninetails ask.

"Well this is not exactly made for more then one or two people." Leon replied "I didn't bother to get a large tent while we were still in town." Thunder blasted in the distance the ground shaking slightly under their feet. Ninetails hid her head again as he hair jumped back into the frizz she had just gotten herself out of.

"Not again." Ninetails moaned.

"Well Ninetails, do you want to go to your Poké-ball for now?" Leon asked.

"I suppose it would be nicer then the tent." Ninetails replied, her form turning to light as Leon pulled her Poké-ball out and called her back.

"Hey Leon? Why don't ya call Lucario back to?" Zack asked.

"She never really likes being in her Poké-ball." Leon replied.

"Umm, I just like the feeling of sleeping in the open air." Lucario added.

"Okay lady, if ya sure." Zack replied, "Anyway, it's getting dark, might as well get some rest to, Luca does not like to hang in her Poké-ball long either, might not like me to snooze in. Night, man." Zack walked quickly into his tent, conveniently just before the rain started to fall.

Leon just glanced up, feeling the sensation of the cold water sliding in his cloths and down his skin. Lucario just smiled softly at him, he seemed to be in this happy state every time it started to rain, his aura felt so...peaceful. It's glowing shape and color feeling almost unreal, but it always seems to glow unnaturally. Leon was like the rest of his family, and from what she noticed of Zack. It was like the aura of two being's in a never ending dance. Leon's ran a mix of red and blue, gold lines running about his body making small marking on his skin that faded quickly. It almost attracted her mind more then those silver eyes...

"Lucario?" Leon said as he looked over at her.

"Ya...Yes?" Lucario replied.

"You can go in the tent if you want, you don't have to wait." Leon said softly, not wanting her to get soaked and cold in the rain.

"I'm fine..." Lucario said.

"If your sure..." Leon muttered.

"I am..." Lucario replied leaning up against him, enjoying the feeling of her fur mashing against Leon's skin. "Leon..." She sighed contently as Leon softly laid his arm around her.

"I'm...kind of getting use to the idea." Leon muttered, "Sorry if I seem to be ignoring it..."

"I know..." Lucario said looking up at him, his silver eye's giving off a kind light. "I understand...were aren't going to be alone much anymore."

"Yea..." Leon muttered, his eyes turning back up at the sky, bolt's of lightning jumping off the grey surface of the colds, lighting up the darkening night. "Let's go in before we get soaked.

"Yeah...Leon." Lucario said pushing herself softly off of Leon. She smiled slightly as she felt him take hold of her hand as he walked into the tent with her. The sounds of water pounded on the tents waterproof top. Leon before he had finished before had set up room for two small inflatable beds, both almost to small for Leon, so they took up the majority of the tents inside, only Leon's heavy bag able to touch the tents bottom. Soft old covers lay on the beds, flat over used pillows laying on each.

"Umm, I didn't notice you setting the bed's." Lucario said.

"That was the easy part." Leon replied climbing into one of the beds, his feet sticking off the bottom, scratching sounds filling the tent as he slipped under the covers he made for himself. While Lucario had fur of her own she enjoyed the feeling of the covers, they gave a kind of warmth that her fur didn't, so she enjoyed as she pulled covers on herself as she crawled into the other bed he had made, more wishing she could lay up beside him like she normally did when they were at Pokémon centers.

"Leon.." Lucario said in a mutter.

"Yes?" Leon replied seeming to almost be asleep already.

"Can I...sleep by you?" Lucario asked.

"Sure..." Leon muttered, rolling on his side the aged blankets creaking as they were moved around. Lucario smiled softly as she pushed herself up against Leon, her face within inches of Leon's warm back. She just laid there enjoying the moment till she faded off into sleep, no memory of a dream just that silent darkness that held with her till she woke up again. The sound of Leon's yawning echoing through the small tent pulling at her senses more then the loud ring of Leon's phone. "Well my side feels numb." Leon muttered.

"I think the half empty blow up beds might account of for that." Lucario muttered noticing that her paw was pushing the bed down enough her paw was not far from touching the ground.

"I joust bought these when we were in Fuchsia city, how did they empty out so quick?" Leon said seeming more tired then annoyed. It seemed like something was bothering him.

"Leon, what's the matter?" Lucario asked as she stretched her arm, and bumping them into the roof of the small tent.

"Luca probably knows about...yea.." Leon muttered. "I just can't help but feel like those eyes she kept giving me before she tried to teleport us meant she knew."

"Well...I...umm...Leon..." She could not really think of anything to say, what could she really say? 'people would have found out anyway' it's not exactly that comforting considering the kinds of laws set in place against people who do such things with their Pokémon. Leon broke several laws when he and her has sex...if he was ever found out by the public...she would be taken away...worse things would happen to Leon...

"Nothing to do now but hope she does not tell Zack." Leon muttered pulling his shirt off, exposing his ripped up back, faint memories of how they first meant in Lucario's mind until he slipped another shirt on, a line of white and it's twist of color showing that it was one that was the victims of him getting distracted one day while cleaning his clothes. They both wondered out, Leon working to get the tent down as Lucario sat around watching him, his arms moving around quickly and mechanically, used to doing this (sometimes several times a day) to the point the that he didn't need to even pay attention to what he was doing half the time. Leaving him to think, something he was doing quite a bit of, thinking of excuses he could use if Luca ever brought it up or pointed it out. Lucario could tell he was almost...afraid.

"Hey dude! Ya awake now? We have been waiting a hour now bro." Zack yelled from across the field, his corn silk yellow hair shining like gold under the bright sun. Leon glanced over almost blinded.

"Turn off the flashers." Leon said as a weak joke. "I just forgot the set my alarm clock earlier today."

"Well dude, hurry with that thing we're movin' out." Zack yelled. Leon quickly stuffed the tent and other things from the night before quickly inside, to Lucario's surprise it only took him several seconds.

"Coming!" Leon yelled pulling the heavy bag on his back again before running to join Zack and Luca. It kind of amazed her even thought she had known him for what felt like her whole life that he could run around so fast while carrying so much. She smiled softly as she ran with him, quickly catching up and sighing at how as soon as she did they had to stop. "Okay then, I'm ready to go."

"Okay bro, just let Luca get warmed up." Zack said giving Luca a thumbs up. "Let's get beamed up."

"Okay Zack, and sorry for yesterday." Luca said.

"Don't worry Luca, ya needed a rest and I ignored it." Zack shrugged, "I made ya a mistake, ya still the best." Lucario faintly notice the Alakazam blushing through her thin fur.

"Thank you, Zack." Luca said.

"Hey Luca." Leon said, Lucario noticed then how the Pokémon was eyeing Leon as she looked over at him, it seemed like a mix of emotions and confusion somehow.

"Yes?" Luca replied.

"I have something I need to ask you." Leon said.

"Sure, shoot." Luca replied.

"Umm, how can I say this, can we talk telepathically?" Leon said.

"Yo, dude, what ya gana talk to her about?" Zack asked quickly.

"Nothing really important, just need to check something." Leon replied. Zack just shrugged.

"Okay Leon but I don't know what this is about." Luca said. Leon and Luca suddenly feel into a minor trance like state, seeming ignorant of the world around them for several seconds, as they finally came out, Luca was laughing, and Leon seemed to have a weight let off his shoulders. Luca seemed to laugh for a while, confusing Zack.

"So what did ya talk about in their?" Zack asked.

"Nothing important, don't worry." Luca said.

"Okay then." Zack said seeming to be thinking but not feeling like questioning it for now.

"Anyway, okay then time to go." Luca said.

"All right beam us up." Zack said quickly as her arm's crossing together as lines of gold slipped out from her like before, quickly finding a host and twisting around them as they were pulled back into that twisted world. Like before all Leon saw was darkness, everyone's form twisting and morphing shape as the seconds rolled by, as if their body's were in a little dance. The feeling of silence seemed almost to heavy as it hung like a curtain on them all. It seemed to make Leon jump as he head it, a yelp. Leon looked over as he heard Luca yell again, a bolt of energy jumping off her body. "Luca?!" Zack yelled, his words echoing and twisted as they were abruptly yanked out of that shadow of a world. Leon felt himself grow massively heavy his bones crying out, then twisting to be light as a feather. Then...nothing...nothing but those echoing voices...

"Leon!" several voices echoed into his mind. Who were they? "Leon! Luca! Dang it, they got hit." Who got hit? Why could he not tell who's voices there were. Leon's mind was running weakly, nothing else existed but those voices, those echoing calls... Who owned them voices? "Le...Leon..." Who...why does his gut hurt so much, that pressure, it feels like something warm is coming out... "Something's wrong with Leon's Aura." A voice added, seeming mournful, "We need to get him to a hospital." Another voice added. The voice started to become more muffled, as if they were getting farther away or he was loosing more of his consensus...it feels so peaceful...

Sorry to Leave you on a cliff hanger but I might not be able to write much for a month or so, there is a possibility I might get one off on the next weekend but I am not really sure, mostly I will be away from any computer I can write anything of this nature on. So for now enjoy...(and bow to my epically blinding level of mistakes I am sure I made...somewhere...I'm sure of it! *twitch*)

6)While it is possible for a Pokemon to breed between species, that is only true if they have similar enough biology, but such exclusions from this are humans, who are only able to breed in their respective species. Pokemon classified as legendary who while able to breed with others then themselves tend to lead to the non legendary becoming barren and any child they would create would be greatly deformed for reasons not understood. Lastly would be Ditto who can breed with all species excluding such as Lugia and other classified legendary Pokemon as well as humans. Based on discoveries found by archeologist in several powerful ancient civilizations, there seems to be a strange stone that is believed to have the ability to have a human and Pokemon, of any type, able to breed. Yet as to what this stone is and where it is found is a mystery. But thanks to cultural dislike of such unions, several organizations. The most powerful being the C.S.C (Clouds of Steiros-mitra Civilization) have hidden evidence of its existence and bullied researchers who have attempted to look for existence both that they had hidden and yet to be discovered evidence
