“Now then, the first thing we need to do is get you guys some equipment.” Talon said after putting his book away. “Equipment? You mean like weapons and armour?” I said, tilting my head. “Precisely. Follow me.” Talon replied, leading us next door to the Storage and Changing rooms. We were amazed at the sheer number of different items there were in here.

“You first Tesla.” Talon said and I went to change. I had to pick clothing first. It was at this point I realised I was completely naked the whole time. If I had gotten aroused that would have been embarrassing. Anyway, I decided upon black combat leggings and a yellow ninja bandana. Next was a stat enhancing item. I chose 6 Accentuator Bands. They were basically neon yellow bands that went around my upper arm, thigh and ankle. They allowed me to channel my aura much quicker and more efficiently.

Next, a weapon. I almost burst with excitement at this point. I looked like a kid in a candy store. Eventually, I decided on two Reinforced Blade Gauntlets. They have two backwards facing blades to increase my attack power, and Titanium pads to allow me to withstand attacks.

Finally, I had to choose our team badge. As the Team Leader it was up to me. I decided on a crossed katana and quill, on a shield badge. Talon affixed it to my bandana, and I looked in the mirror. I looked awesome.

I walked back out to where Luna and Lily were, and they hadn’t noticed me. “Hey girls. How do I look?” I said, and they both looked, and their jaws dropped. “Whoa… You look awesome Tesla!” Lily said excitedly. Luna just sat there blushing and staring at me. I grinned. “I know I’m sexy, but you can’t just sit there staring at me all day Luna.” I joked. She blushed more and I sat down while they went to get equipped.

About ten minutes later, they walked out. “Whatcha think Tesla?” Luna said. “Cool eh?” Lily added. I smiled. They looked pretty damn cool. Luna had changed her hair colour from green to bright blue, and she had our badge as a hairpin. Her neck was covered by a bright pink scarf, and she was holding a golden sceptre, which I assumed was a magic weapon. Lily had a purple scarf with the badge attached to it, and was wearing a cute silver helmet. It had spikes on it like my gauntlets, and she was wearing a little satchel over her shoulder. “You look amazing!” I grinned.

Talon smiled. “Now you look like a rescue team! All that’s left to do is take you to your room.” He said, and led us to our room at the end of the corridor. There was a bunk bed in one corner, with a nest nearby for Lily. The sofa was facing a big TV and we had a bathroom off through one corner, and our kitchen through the other. It was perfect. “I better let you all get settled in. See you tomorrow!” Talon said, before leaving us.

While Luna and Lily were sat on the sofa watching TV and chatting, I was going through all the stuff I had in my backpack. I found my iPod and headphones, my notebooks with all my drawings of Pokemon, my pencils and my lucky pebble. I smiled and looked at the pebble. I found it on a beach when I was five. It had a big hole in the middle, with some kind of runic writing around the hole. I kept it in hopes that it was important.

I saw that Luna was coming over so I put some of my junk away to give her enough room to sit down. She sat on the end of my bed and smiled. “You ok Tesla?” She said, and I nodded. “Yeah I’m just looking through all my old stuff.” I could see her eyeing up my notebooks. “Is it ok if I have a look at them?” She asked. I handed it to her and smiled. “Go ahead!” She took it and started flicking through the pictures.

“Whoa… These are amazing… Did you draw them?” She said. I nodded. “Yep!” I said rather proudly. Luna started blushing for some reason, and what she said next told me why. “Would you…. Be able to draw me?” She said nervously. I blushed. “I could give it a try. I don’t know how good it will be though.” I said, taking my notebook and pencils.

Luna smiled and got into a pose for me. She was leaning against the wall, with one knee up and her hand behind her head. Her skirt started to ride up a little, giving me a good view of her thighs. I blushed madly as she gave me a smile that could melt anyone’s heart. I started drawing her, and at that moment I knew. I knew then that I was in love with Luna.

After about twenty minutes, I finished the drawing. “There we go. I’m done Luna.” I said. I had to admit, the picture was almost identical to the real Luna. Except it wasn’t anywhere near as beautiful. Uhh… Ignore  that last part. Luna moved round to have a look at the picture I drew of her. “Wow… It’s amazing…” She said, in awe at my drawing. Then she noticed the title I had given it. “The Beautiful Meloetta?” She said, blushing deep crimson. She looked at me and blushed more. “You… You really think I’m…. Beautiful?” She said, her voice a bit shaky. I nodded.

She looked down, clearly embarrassed. “No-one has ever said i’m beautiful before…” She said. I put my paw on her cheek. “You’re the most beautiful creature I have ever met…” I said, my cheeks turning bright red. Luna closed her eyes and leaned towards me. I did the same, and for the few moments our lips connected, I felt like we were destined to be together.

Luna smiled, still blushing madly, and went to show Lily the picture. I heard them chatting about it and I just sat there. I was in utter shock at what had just happened. I kissed Luna… And… It felt amazing… I guess this is what everyone means when they say words like ‘Soulmate’. I put my drawing equipment away and put my backpack beside my bed. Lily and Luna both came over smiling. “We better get some rest now. We don’t wanna be sleepy on our first mission tomorrow do we?” Lily said. I nodded. “Right. Night you two…” I said, getting under my quilt. Luna climbed up on the top bunk and got under the quilt. “Night…” She said, and Lily responded with the same before climbing into  her nest. We were going to floor everyone tomorrow. We would be the best rescue team ever.
