Author's Chapter Notes:

Part 2! Here we see what Tesla is really capable of, when the Town Guard try to apprehend him! We also learn about an old ally of Tesla's; Kai the Grovyle!

(Huge Pokemon Mystery Dungeon reference incoming!)

Bring It On

I awoke the next morning to find a small bird on the floor in front of me, tweeting happily. I rubbed my eyes and yawned, before shooing the bird away. Looking up at the rising sun, I paused for a moment. A friend once told me that 'The things that are most precious to us are the ones we take for granted.' I understood exactly his sentiment. That friends name was Kai the Grovyle. He was supposedly a time-traveller, and I bumped into him a while ago. It was... maybe three years ago. He came through our town and stayed here on the way to the Northern Desert. He seemed like a nice guy, so I allowed him to stay with me in this building. We spent the night swapping our stories, I told him about how I lost my parents, joining the Assassin's Creed, training in Rage combat and a few of my missions I had completed, and he told me about how he supposedly came from the future to save our planet, about how he lost his team-mate when they were attacked on the way here, and about how he had been trusted to collect something called Time Gears, and take them to the Hidden Land where Dialga was waiting at Temporal Tower in order to stop the planets paralysis. Sounds crazy right? Heh... The truth is... I believe him. He was so composed, so mentally stable, it had to have been true. He stayed with me for 4 days while he went about town sorting out supplies and transport, and I grew to trust him. He also taught me a few things, one of those things was to always remember how precious the little things in life are, like the sun rising...

The first morning Kai stayed with me, I woke up to find him staring at the sun rising. I watched it with him, and then I asked him why he did it. These were his exact words:

'I came here from a future of darkness... The sun never rises... The wind never blows... Pokemon have become twisted and warped... The world is just a... Horrible... Evil place... I have a... Best friend... Still in the future. Her name is Serena the Celebi... I don't want anyone, especially her, to suffer through the worlds paralysis... That's why I am fighting alone... To stop it from happening...'

Then he looked directly at me. 'Don't take these things for granted Tesla... The first time I woke up in this world... The first time I saw the sun rise above the horizon... It was mind blowing... It was at that moment I knew I was doing the right thing. I had the spare all Pokemon from that horrible fate... No matter what the cost.'

I nodded and smiled at him. 'You are a very courageous and noble Pokemon Kai... I want you to be an honourary member of the Assassins Creed.' He smiled back. 'I sure appreciate that Tesla. Thank you.'

The day he left was heart wrenching. I remember his last words exactly:

'It's been great meeting you Tesla, but I have to get moving now. I sincerely hope we meet again in a better future.'

That was the last time I ever saw him. I still hold out hope that his mission was successful. I could use an ally right about now.

I got up, having spent a good half hour watching the sunrise, put on my weapon belts, and then my cloak. I looked over the edge of the building, and saw a pile of straw that had been left there. I grinned and stood on the edge of the building, before leaping off into the straw, landing safely and jumping out to blend in with the crowds in the street.

After I got myself some breakfast, I decided to keep a look out for any trouble, but then trouble found me.

"Hey! Assassin!" A town guard yelled at me. I turned to see five houndoom in full regimental armour now surrounding me. "Is there a problem?" I said, pulling down my hood, revealing my face. "You're fucking damn right there is a problem. You are wanted for numerous crimes, and it's time for you to pay." The leader bellowed. I grinned. "And how do I pay?" I asked. All five guards drew their weapons at this point. "With your life!" The leader growled. "Get him!" He yelled, and the four guards surged towards me. I leapt up in the air, putting both feet on the back of one guard as he smashed his sword into the ground, and kicked off him, backflipping through the air. I landed with my legs around the neck of one guard, and I instantly wrenched them, snapping his neck and killing him instantly. I grabbed his spear and leapt towards another guard, driving the spear through his chest. "Two down, three to go." I boasted, drawing my Katana.

The remaining two guards slashed at me with the intention of removing my head, but I ducked underneath and swept their legs out from under them, before finishing them off with a neck slash.

"Ugh... Never send grunts to do a captains job..." The last guard said, drawing his blade. "Bring it on!" I grinned, leaping at him and slamming my katana into his scimitar, making a loud clang noise as he staggered a little, but still had the same look of anger on his face. "Is that all you've got, Assassin?" He growled defiantly. I grinned and activated my Rage Mode, a crimson shell of energy surrounding my sword. "I'm just getting started!" I replied, leaping at him once more, driving the now electrified sword into his scimitar, and I cleaved straight through it, and straight through the Houndoom below.

I stood back and watched as the two halves of his body fell away from each other, leaving a bloody pile on the floor. I deactivated my Rage and pulled my hood up, before leaping up to the rooftops. Nobody messes with this Umbreon.
