Summary:

The story of the trainer Felix and his very special Riolu, Luca. Their relationship is sweet, strained, complex, and everything in between.

This is the remastered version of my story, Luca. In going back to the beginning I found I was editing the story significantly. So I decided to post it as new! : )
I hope you enjoy the changes I've made, and if this is the first time you've found this series, I hope you enjoy it for the first time. Be aware it follows the original edition, but has quite a few changes, including new scenes, and rewritten scenes.

At present there are no love scenes edited. Ratings follow the original as this will eventually hold all the same themes and material.

    A strange man comes to a lucky trainer baring a very special gift. Felix and his Ninetales Lady are about to have their lives changed forever by a sweet little Riolu named Luca.

    A year after first meeting Luca she has become one of the family. So much so that something unexpected happens to her one day. Will this event break up the trio?

    Still getting used to her new body, Luca and the others find a tournament to enter. With the hopes it will help get the Lucario acquainted with her new form, the trio enters. Unfortunately, not everyone is as happy go lucky as Felix and his girls when it comes to official tournaments...

  4. Chapter 4 - Contest Tragedy (22539 words)

    After their arduous win at the Tournament Felix and the girls decide on a change of pace. While planning to take a cruise they decide to enter a pokemon contest as well. Running into family along the way, will anyone be the same when disaster strikes?

  5. Chapter 5 - Team Darkrai Rises (29823 words) [Reviews: 1]

    The group follows through with their plans to take a vacation. With Felix still reeling from the close call, will he be able to look at the girls the same again? Might the egg Felix's sister carries give him a new outlook? And what happens when our hero's find themselves in the midst of a rising evil...? Will it tear Felix and his girls apart or bring them closer than ever?

    I apologize for the delay and having to delete the chapter. I hope you enjoy this chapter and if I may ask, please let me know what you think of the changes to the erm... intimate scene. In reading over it I could hardly believe I wrote it and I'm wondering which my audience likes more. Comments are greatly appreciated. Hope you all enjoy a late Thanksgiving present. ^^;

  6. Chapter 6 - Taking Down Darkrai (15330 words) [Reviews: 1]

    After their night together and adding a member to their team, Felix and Luca set off to find their friends and escape Darkrai's island. But when one of the group is taken captive at the facility, is it worth risking everyone's freedom to save just one? Once more, what else could be hidden in the depths of Darkrai's facility?

  7. Chapter 7 - Returning Home (13005 words)

    Having survived their encounter with Team Darkrai Felix and his party head home. With everyone safe and healthy little could dampen the moods of the heros. But what happens when an unexpected consequence of their island adventure is brought to their attention?

  8. Chapter 8 - A Father Exposed (15726 words) [Reviews: 1]

    Finally home after their trying ordeal, our intrepid couple has a bit of explaining to do to Felix's family. How will they react to the news that Luca is pregnant? And will they be allowed to stay after they find out who the father is...? Also, something her father told her has been bothering Luca. What could this mean for the couple's bond?

    After an extended visit at home Luca is about ready to pop!, but how will this change the lives of everyone? With the events of the ship and island still lingering in the proud new parent's minds, is it time to make a new life or does their new addition deserve to see the world as Luca did?

    How can life get any better? A caring mate, a new child and loving friends. However, when an old enemy finds the intrepid group, will they be as lucky as the first time...?

    After their unexpected fight Felix is left in grave condition... Can a past foe become a new ally? Who would trust someone like that?

    While traveling back towards home the group finally begins to bend under the stress of their recent experiences. But it seems that's not the only thing bothering some of the group...

    What can be said about this fic that hasn't already?

    I guess... anything?

    If the other readers are anything like me, then the only reason they've put it off for so long is because they don't want to be the only one to basically SCREAM their enthusiasm for all to see. But this fic deserves it.

    Look, I read the first run of Luca. TWICE. It's good shit. It's a long read. It's SEXY. The thought of the whole damn thing being rewritten in totality and legitimately being improved upon is exciting and stupifying!

    And yet, here we are.

    First of all,Ii am really excited that Luca herself has more agency in this story. She was always a strong (duh) protagonist, but until the Darkrai plot (not spoiling here just in case) I felt that she was always second chair in their relationship. That Felix was the one who solved or tackled the complex problems and that Luca kind of... orbitted him? Like, Luca would typically react to Felix's decisions, but not the other way around,  because Luca didn't really make any.

    That sounded harsh. BUT. Luca 2.0 isn't like that. She is 100% Felix's equal in this relationship. She has more agency to deal with problems herself. This is just so GOOD. I have no idea how the seco d half of this stpry is going to play out with the setup you've given us, and I'm so so excited by that.

    Hopefully this was helpful pr encouraging, because it was all I could manage to not DBZ-scream my excitement for this fic's continued progress for all to see.

    The 2nd edition was my first time reading Luca, but I eventually had to move to the 1st edition when I wanted to see how the rest of the story played out. Although I left a review there, I want to leave a similar one here too :)

    This story is FANTASTIC, and I‘m truly glad I found it. Although I have no real complaints about the 1st edition, I’m looking forward to the continuation of the 2nd edition. This version is just bursting with detail; with additional scenes, conversations, and emotions mixed in, I’m super excited to see the rest of the story in the same light. One thing I‘m looking forward to in particular is an extended epilogue, but that’s just a personal thing. (I’m a sucker for a good reunion scene ^-^)

    The thought of the second half of the story getting extended with just as much detail makes me giddy with anticipation, and I truly hope you update it when you have the time :)
