FETEP2 entry, sort of all four categories
The second of my Starting in the Lab series, this time featuring the starters of the Johto region -- Chikorita and Totodile. The two of them are best friends and have a shared interest of acting and performing together, but when their curiosities get the better of them and they discover some of Professor Elm's research photos, they want to take their playing to a whole new level.
And, once the replacement Cyndaquil is brought in to complete the set of starters, how will they react to being in the presence of a real live male? To what lengths will they go to satisfy their own curiosities?

To say that Aegis Breckin is a badass would be an understatement: she smokes, she drinks, and is one among the most elite in the Sinnoh Region's black operations squad. Looking out exclusively for herself, she works as a mercenary in her spare time, granting her services to whoever can pay her the most.
When called into action late at night, Breckin is expecting a routine sweep, maybe even a pickup for a classified package. Leaving her bunk to find the entire base in disorder, she soon finds out that there is another matter at hand entirely after her superiors assign her under Human Unit 119's squad, one of the most prestigious squads in the entire military base.
The mission: neutralize every living citizen in the Eterna City area. Unfortunately for Aegis and the rest of her team, their superiors never told them about the viral-spawned mutants roaming the city.

This is the sequel of Legendary Chaos (or S.T.A.R. Encounters on Fanfiction.net.) that everyone's been bugging me to do.

Exactly what it says on the tin, to some degree:
There are four children, and each has their own 'paradigm', or power. Each paradigm has a respective strength, but also a respective weakness. These can be anything from contact with the Spirit World, to perspective changing, to the ability of convenience, to manipulation of real-world distances and time-paths.
Each teenager is troubled by his/her past, as most are not human. They mostly want freedom, no matter where they live, but are technically not bound by any entity or law of existence. They must learn that, to be truly happy, they need someone to share it with.
As such, each seeks out to find persons just like themselves to escort them to cultist paradise, where they can bask in the glory of their higher dimensions.
The only problem? Each paradigm cannot understand the metaphors other paradigms use in order to effectively utilize their powers. Faced with the previous obstacle of unity, they must also figure out how to cross the paradigm border in order to achieve their paradise.
"Halloween 2010 Submission", though it HAS become something more. I hate to leave a story unfinished, even though I did not win. Perhaps this will give me some time to re-write it, but I vow that this will be finished at one time.
